Location
The window in our room had condensation through it wich i can only assume dirt. Just thought it looked tired from when we stayed before.
The rooms and staff were great
I felt rushed to have my food
The staff were really friendly and professional, the room was spotless, beds incredibly comfortable and aircon.
The food was okay the burgers were great, however my daughter said the pizza could have had more mozzarella and the tacos needed more dips.
Only ten minutes from Gatwick airport. Reception was welcoming and our room was nice and well appointed. East-facing window so had a beautiful sun rise. Large bed was comfy and good facilities (microwave, fridge). The pool is nice and sauna too. Didn’t get to use the gym unfortunately. Restaurant staff are friendly and helpful, the food was good too. Plenty of parking available.
Nothing comes to mind.
great location, very comfortable bed , good food
no complaints
Spacious rooms. Quiet rooms. Bed slightly too hard Slightly tired in places. Relaxed feeling
Breakfast was crowded in a small space Second morning was very noisy at breakfast lots of people pretty full Hotel social space felt overly warm Bacon and eggs were dry over cooked. Day 2 breakfast when I went to get my food there were no eggs or no hash browns so very limited. Sign said Marmite and in bowl was jam so wrongly labelled. We were a group of 6 and x 3 people sadly smoked and when it’s raining there is no shelter. Paying for £12 per night parking was a bit steep they should reduce this for visitors staying in hotel. It’s not like we were going in a flight and looking for specific parking facilities.
Nice entrance lobby and rooms were nice and clean and big
It was nice that it had a swimming pool but it was quite cold, especially for child we had with us and would have been nice to have a few toys/water aids available there
The staff we amazing
Cleans, good location
Staff in restaurant very slow
Location
Value — the room and its condition were not worth the price we paid, which was likely due to the air traffic control issues this week in London.

Nothing
Very good customer service. I had paid for breakfast with the package, but wasn’t able to have breakfast due to a change. The staff were very helpful and offered a breakfast bag which I could take with me.
Nothing.
Rooms are nice
The pool area was not clean, hair in a lot of places. The restaurant was cold and quite chaotic with music and the food was average
.
.
Large, comfortable room with a lovely seating area. Spotless. Nice pool and excellent breakfast.
There was nothing to dislike.
Towels to borrow at the pool
No coffee machine at breakfast. You can have one in the lobby if you bring your own cup but who brings a cup on holiday?
The swimming 🏊♂️ the good
Having to pay for parking and no bath in twin room
Ok but cost to high
A bit cheaper for breakfast but the rest very good
The room was excellent, clean, spacious and well equipped amd good sound proofing. Certainly worthy of 3 star status at least. There was a pool but we didn't use it, the foyer area is ok but a little plain bit functional. £12 charge to park the car overnight (which seems normal for hotels in the Gatwick area).
The restaurant was poor. Poor choice of food poorly prepared (our salad had gritty bits in, components of the salad were missing completely and most of the food was generally cold. Whilst I feel for anyone working in the hospitality business, there seemed to be a lack of overall managerial monitoring and the few staff that there were seemed to struggle. The poor standard of food prep by a junior chef making the most basic of errors did not help either. The bar was full of children running around in nightclothes either returning from a flight or about to go on one. Whilst I appreciate some of these venues are predominantly for Gatwick Airport traffic, this hotel was purporting to be 4 star which it certainly was not. I would use again at a push but would not elect to eat there and chose other more local eating choices and would also ensure my booked room was in a quiet area of the hotel. Breakfast was actually ok apart from the poor quality bacon on offer which looked slightly anemic. Overall, if you are looking for a decent bed for the night prior to flying then this is a good choice, just don't expect too much from the restaurent choices amd be prepared for the place to be overrun with families either going on holiday or coming back from holiday.
Location close to airport, city centre and restaurants

The price
Love this hotel and are regulars now and it never disappoints!Fridge in room is ideal especially as my husband is an insulin user and needs to keep meds cold. Also provision of a bath too this time with excellent shower pressure. Hotel is silent spotless and does excellent food. Staff very accommodating and so helpful. Plenty of parking and close to APH airport parking too.
Nothing
Swimming pool
The staff all so so lovely. Honestly some very good people. I liked the coffee machine, really good coffee. The check in snd check out is seamless
The food was quite disappointing. The menu is amazing but unfortunately did not match the taste or look. Quite dusty in the room TV signal barely there and not a smart tv so could not watch anything. Charged parking should be free for guests
Everything except being told to turn my tv off when the volume was on 17
Everything
Great location for Gatwick airport, offered family rooms at a very reasonable price so would stay again with the family for an early flight. Nice to have a pool and gym in the hotel.
Food was fine but restaurant staff appeared a little lazy and slow considering there was only 2-3 tables taken whilst we were there. Gym equipment was old and could do with updating.
The staff were very helpful & polite. Close to the airport, easy to find, and parking our car was easy. Room was comfy, well laid out, plenty of space. Breakfast was very good, lots of choice.
Advised a 2 minute walk around the corner to the bus stop to get the local bus (it’s not an airport shuttle bus, but it is a bus that goes to the airport; if that makes sense..) however, more like a 8/10 walk with cases, and slightly uphill. People with back, walking or similar issues may be best to get an Uber or book a taxi. Price of the stay and parking a little on the expensive side, not a budget hotel.
Dog welcome pack was a very good idea.
That dogs aren't allowed in the restaurant, my wife and I had to eat breakfast in shifts. If we had known about this we would have breakfasted somewhere else.
Lovely place, staff helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend
Size of rooms and interconnecting doors . Swimming pool was lovely and beds very comfortable
Price of breakfast was slightly over priced
Location suitable for our needs
Restaurant service was terrible, with multiple errors. Room didn’t feel particularly clean and dirty mugs left outside the door upon arrival at our room. Furniture and room was dated.
It looked very clean. It looked really beautiful the star for amazing.
No charging rooms in pool area would be nice to change with out people looking ,there was children in there and I was trying to charge
Well positioned, clean, well equipped and wonderfully friendly staff!
Chambre confortable. Air conditionné très apprécié quand il fait 30 degrés. Petit déjeuner varié et copieux. Personnel très agréable. Piscine .
Rien à redire
The hotel was nice as you come in - the decor downstairs. For us it was close to the train station with easy access to London. We had a side view but could see part of the runway path where the children loved watching all the plans coming in.
Room wasn’t set up for us when we arrived at 2am - cot was missing - thankfully rectified but having been awake for almost 24 hours it was frustrating when I had pre booked this and checked at reception before we went upstairs. Breakfast is expensive for a family of 5 on top of what we paid for the room. We got our food from the Tesco round the corner for a lot cheaper. The room was very small for a family of 5 (children aged 1,3,6) when the cot, extra bed was out and a buggy with our 4 suitcases there was very little room to walk around. The pool was on the cooler side so during our 3 days stay we only went in once and the have air con as you come out on the corridor so it was freezing for the kids. The furniture in the room was very old and the woodwork very worn.
Beyond expectations- really impressed
The rooms were great
Nothing
Letzte Nacht vor dem Abflug. Gut zu finden, großer Parkplatz. Alles top.
Die Preise an der Hotelbar sind schon etwas übertrieben.
Room was excellent and the air con was brilliant which was a very big bonus! Liked the coffee machine available during the day. Breakfast was good - husband says bacon was excellent quality and the choice of pastries and continental was good for me. We went down just as everything needed replenishment, but they were constantly brining out fresh options. All the staff were friendly. Will choose to stay here again
Lovely hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We made use of the pool to recover after a long journey which was well needed and hit the spot Lovely comfortable beds and great breakfast! Staff booked a taxi for us to Gatwick which was much cheaper than Uber and took about 10 minutes. I would have expected to pay more for what we got Highly recommend.
Nothing!
Great location lovely hotel and staff
As with many hotels, the rooms are not equipped with mirrors near a window for natural light and there was no plug socket near a mirror?? The dressing table had no mirror? So if you’re a female travelling with a teenage daughter as I was this is no good. Please put a mirror near a window and a plug socket!
Location and the facilities
Old facade the rooms need upgrading and a very small bed in a big room
Lobby coffee machine
Steam room out of action, unhelpful with booking issue.
Location of the hotel is best for Gatwick airport Our room had a view of the sunset on the fifth floor You can see planes taking off from the high floors
It’s very dated and old Swimming Poole changing room only has one shower and lockers has no keys Steam room was out of order no jacuzzi Swimming Poole is very small Water pressure in the room is very low Windows are all misted up and dirty
Swimming pool is great
Not much around like shops , pubs , restaurants etc
Location near to where I needed. Room was spacious. Drinks machine in the lobby.
The £12.00 charge for parking. The steam room being out of action- I would have stayed elsewhere as steam and sauna is a must after a swim. Booking.com double charged me and it would have been just as simple for the hotel to cancel a room once I realised it had happened, but hotels customer service explained 'it's a Booking.com problem' and not 'us' issue. This had to be reexplained on checking in which of course is a sore point when you have just been double charged for a trip which was last minute for a family emergency. The evidence needed to claim back the money is a right palaver.
good hotel, room and location. met my needs. good that it had small gym, pool and steam room. staff were friendly and helpful.
Speed of service from ordering to receiving food could have been better.
Bar staff excellent. Chicken wings fantastic. Pool really good
No shower for pool. Post steam room everybody jumps in pool dirty Lobby background music was far too loud like a disco
The room was large, comfortable, and dog friendly. When we arrived there was even a dog bed, bowl and some treats waiting, which was a really lovely touch, and staff were very friendly to him. They don't allow dogs in the bar, but the room is so large we didn't mind and I don't think he did either! There are parks a short drive away to give him a good run around too. I couldn't think of anything else the room could need - the bed was comfortable and clean, there was a comfortable sofa, and it was quiet even when other guests were leaving. It had a fridge, and even a microwave, USB charging sockets right by the bed for phones and the air con was a godsend in this weather.
The gym is very small and very basic, but we managed to get half an hour in. The food was good in the evening, but I don't think I would stay for breakfast again, they charge a lot for what is a buffet.

Nice on arrival but room was poor
Shower was broken! There was no adjustment on so it sent 6 very powerful jets at you! The air conditioning sounded like a load generator every time it cut in!! Half the the power sockets didn’t work and at least 3 were loose
Breakfast was lovely, would've been nice to have more than just a single pot of coffee at breakfast option, a latte etc
Extortionate taxi fares to get to the hotel, £10 a mile (minus the Gatwick charge that's still £20 for a little over 3 miles which gives London prices a run for their money, the £50 in taxis would've allowed for a more expensive hotel at the airport.
Great location for our stay.
Surprised that there was no bottled water in the rooms during a heatwave and the air con although great, was noisy. Staff were helpful and very pleasant. Liquid soap in the bathrooms for handwashing would have been better than soap.
Our daughter loved the pool The choice of breakfast items was pretty good
The changing rooms were dirty. The lamp and drawers in our room were broken and the air con was not that cold, with thick duvets it was a hot night
The photos gave a better impression vs reality. We booked because of the pool, which in reality needs some attention. I don’t know if the filter wasn’t working properly but all 3 of us kept getting hair tangles on our hands. The ceiling is shabby and it generally feels decrepit. Our room was ok but I was expecting 2 x double beds not a double and a single. This is also why we chose the hotel. The pillows were lumpy. The tv only had standard tv - you couldn’t use and smart apps. But the hotel was also noisy. Other residents noisy until the small hours. One other resident was shouting and swearing & banging doors. Motorbikes revving. It wasn’t a good nights sleep.
Room was spacious and well equipoed
Breakfast, no choice of fresh cooked eggs, rubbery fried or scarambled.
Nice spacious room
Nothing to dislike

Very clean and comfortable beds, staff were very helpful and friendly
Very clean environments and rooms, very easy to navigate. Staff were very helpful and friendly, excellent communication with clear instructions/info about the policies of the hotel. I found breakfast to be very good, buffet style with a wide range of milks (cow’s milk, oat, almond and soya milk), full English breakfast, continental breakfast, yogurts and fruits, tea and coffee, everything you need is available. Bedrooms are of a generous size, clean and comfy. Nice temperature in the room adjustable. Rooms come with an added couch and small table, chest of drawers, desk/ dresser, tv and table lamp, wardrobe with iron and ironing board. Next to the wardrobe, there’s a compartment with mini fridge, microwave and kettle with tea, coffee and sugar. Our beds were super comfortable but double bed was on the narrow side, unfortunately.
I wish breakfast was included in the price. I wish double bed were bigger.
The bar area was nice, clean and fresh.
The downstairs lobby and bar has had a recent face-lift but the rooms looked tired. They were very hot air-conditioning and fridge were very noisy.
Swimmih pool
Breakfast buffet not great
Lovely hotel great room and pool and stream room
Paying for parking 😒 why ? No water in room
Good location, no barrier on car park and accepted dogs (with little welcome pack for each dog). Food was good. Room met our needs well. Lovely foyer- great first impression.
There was a bit of minor wear and tear in our room (eg marks on the walls ) but not a big issue . And ac was quite noisy.
The room was nice. Welcoming staff were friendly.
The bath plug was very difficult to use. The food was slow service and a lot of it was unavailable.
Fridge and air-conditioning plus a large room . Breakfast and real coffee.
Nothing to report
Room was comfortable and spacious. Had a good bathroom TV and coffee facilities A fridge would of been nice
Service in the restaurant was absolutely horrific. Missed our booking so had to eat in the bar 1 of the party was served the incorrect meal 3 of the party were missing additional extras that were ordered 1 of the party didn't even receive their main meal In the end we refused to pay as it was woeful
Not veery good
The outside of the hotel was neglected
Breakfast, great. Location ok, be aware of entry/ exit, very busy road and roundabout. Entry off roundabout, keep your eyes open for entry!! Exit, be careful it's onto major road.
Tables outside sitting, need repair.
Beds were clean and comfortable
Hotel was tired and dated, light switch fell off, hair on bathroom cup
Wasn't happy about having to pay for parking! There was an issue in the restraunt wait for food was too long
The property was very well maintained and clean
We arrived after a 3 hour drive from our home, checked in and used the pool quickly before it closed . We asked at reception what time restaurant closed and made plans to go for dinner after swimming . After swimming we went down to restaurant to have some dinner only uk be told that due to having no “gas” there was no food at all ! I said well what about some salads or something that could possibly be oven cooked? I explained we had a 3 hour drive and my son was hungry only to be told to go to reception for some crisps. In the end we had to drive out to a take away. Very disappointing as we chose to stay there to have a relaxing evening before our morning flight instead it turned out to be nuisance of having to find somewhere to eat . Unbelievable that a hotel if this size would simply say “no food at all “ at 9pm
Convenient location, clean room, pool is kids friendly
The property is overall dated and could use a redecorating. Pool changing room needs more regular cleaning, the restaurant food was not good. Pillows in room need better quality ones.
breakfast was good with a good amount of choice
restaurant and bar food very poor choice
The staff were the best thing about the place. Hard working and tried to please
The entrance was where it needs attention. The breakfast was weak to put it mildly. Food was over priced and of a poor standard. I reckon the air fryer was flat out. The bar closes at 11 so if you want a night cap you're sitting foye
Four-person family arriving at Gatwick and needing a base for roadtripping in Kent. For our needs, the location was perfect; both the distance from the airport and the easy access to the motorways we needed. We have little impression of the surroundings, the hotel itself was very adequate. Great room, helpful staff. Enjoyed the breakfast. Understanding bar crew that let me finish watching the World Cup game in extra time, even though they were really closing.
After I entered Sandman, I slept with one eye open, gripping my pillow tight. Neither of us liked Marmite. (None of the above is really the hotel's fault.)
Love this hotel
Drinks a bit on the dear side
Fine for one nights stay close to the airport. Food was average.
The aircon was loud. No shuttle to the airport.
Family room with 3 beds.

Good location and good food and drink
Stayed for 2 nights - had to ask to be moved as room we were in was very noisy (very loud fridge and droning aircon/kitchen extractor fans nearby). We were initially told we couldn’t move because the hotel was full, but when they realised we were not just there for one night, as if by magic another room suddenly became free ! Other concerns related to the food and drink and the bar - on our first night, my wife ordered a buttermilk chicken burger - it was ok, but looked more like breaded chicken - which was confirmed the following day when we saw someone else order the same meal, and get something which looked completely different to what she’d had the day before. On the second night, the bar was busy (due to the England match), but we were given no warning that food orders were running late (45+ minutes for a portion of chips and some chicken wings seemed excessive, and no apology was given. We also found it bizarre that virtually every table in the bar had been reserved- even to the extent that bits of till receipt had been stuck to the bar to reserve bar stools as well !! We were initially told that we’d have to order room service (at extra cost !) if we couldn’t find a table ! Luckily we managed to find 2 spare seats in a corner, but we weren’t impressed with the wait time and seeming lack of concern of the staff
The staff were particularly attentive. The room was clean and comfortable. The facilities were great with the pool and sauna being an added bonus
Nice and close to Gatwick for flights. Lots of options for breakfast.
In need of some repairs in spots.
Convenient location, spacious room. Great facilities.
Car park charge
Full English was excellent. Ideally located for Gatwick and the M23/M25
Lighting was was very gloomy in the reception and dining room
Every member of staff was excellent
Room very dated, small bed, bad pillows, old TV, breakfast basic and expensive for what you paid, Luke warm coffee in the restaurant.
Pool restaurant very helpful staff!
The kitchen went down on our arrival so we had to uber eats food which was far more expensive, the carpet in the room was coming up from the floor. Rooms were dark and dated
Breakfast was good. Pool and steam room was pleasant and well maintained. room had a bit of a funny smell but it was the last room available and a disabled room so put it down to that. the staff were extremely helpful as i couldn't book the last night in advanced due to being fully booked. however had a call first thing the next day about a cancellation and the staff made it an easy process
main bar was expensive. lockers in the changing rooms were damaged and the shower curtain was unpleasant as it kept wafting onto you. maybe a cubicle with doors would of been better.
