Stanza bella e larga. Posizione OK, si arriva a piedi in città anche se c'è da camminare un pochino. Molto vicino all'ippodromo.

La nostra stanza non era nell'edificio principale ma di fronte. Ultimo piano senza ascensore, non comodo coi bagagli. Parcheggio solo a pagamento, ma il weekend o se la lasci solo la notte, in strada è gratis. Ovviamente no aria condizionata e no bidet (nonostante un bagno enorme e mezzo vuoto), ma sarebbe una sorpresa il contrario. Un po' caro, ma probabile perché era periodo di corse all'ippodromo.

We loved the size of our bedroom and bathroom. The bed was very comfortable, lovely walk in shower.

We would have liked to open a window in the bedroom for fresh air during the night but they were all sealed.

Room was very dark and dated . Unexpectedly the room was rather small . £30 for our dog who was supposed to get a pet bed and treats but got nine of these . Mentioned to staff on checkout and the £30 was removed from our bill

Value for money £15 for breakfast that wasn’t worth it . I have paid £20 at other hotels and had a better breakfast

I love this place, stay every year for the York Book Fair - it is quiet, comfortable and quite beautiful.

I used to like having a cheeseboard in the bar - food options have changed now.

The room and bed were small for the price we paid. It was not made clear that the room would not be serviced unless we presumably requested it.

Beautiful decor. Great location to get to York Racecourse. Staff were very friendly. The room was a great size and the bath was the cherry on top.

The only thing we found was the limited menu for lunch at 1pm but that's really trying to find something.

Receptionist was pleasant. Breakfast staff were very good. The bedroom had a stale foostie smell,of old damp and dirty room.Not what you would expect from Hilton hotel group. Room 274 across the road from the main building. It has a door heading out to a small patio. The door was absolutely filthy. The room wasn't cleaned when we were there fir our 3 night stay.

I liked the authenticity of it and the old feel to the place. The staff were attentive, approachable and helpful. The room was spacious

The housekeeping was far from great. I had to request to the reception throughout our stay to ask for it to be serviced. The only thing that was done to our room was a replacement of towels, taking out the trash and making the beds. No cleaning was done and even the room had traces of the previous occupants. Our room had the potential to be amazing. There was no extractor fan and proper circulation of air as there was a strong smell of must and the drain in the shower needed looking at also as it didn’t drain properly. More soundproofing needed if possible as it sounded like a herd of elephants above our heads. Finally there was a lack of drawers and storage for our belongings so we had to live out of our suitcases. The breakfast was ok. The staff were polite and helpful but the menu and selection was a bit lacklustre. I think it needs a drastic overhaul.

We as a group of 8 people prefer the courtyard rooms even though the other rooms offered were of a higher standard.

We visited York for Ebor Races. The hotel's location was absolutely perfect for the race course and wasn't too far to walk from the city centre. The room was perfect for our overnight requirements, decent shower. Breakfast was one of the best we've had in a few years at a range of hotels. Your hot breakfast is cooked to order, comes out hot on warmed plates and everything is top quality including the sausages. All employees were friendly and polite. We will definitely return.

The hotel was beautiful snd thecstaff very friendky and helpful. Our room was amazing with the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in a hotel. Thec location was perfect, it took us about 10 munutes to walk into York itself.

The main hotel looked fine. But we were in the Lodge across the road !

We were in a lower ground floor room that whilst well appointed was rather dingy and right next to a noisy large air conditioning unit. So we could not open the windows

The parking was a joke, not even in London would I have to pay that amount of money to park next to the Hotel. Literally have 6 or so spaces out the front which we never got one. Had to park in a school carpark to get charged and for them my car to be hit by a door. Really not impressed. The building didn’t have a lift, for someone with a bad back this was awful walking up and down to the top floor.

Nicely set up room with a lovely bathroom. The room was very compact and so for an extended 4 night stay a little compromising. But, I had booked for a single person. Breakfast was good and a nice choice of variations for cooked options.

The choices at the bar were limited. The hotel is a little out of the city so maybe most people prefer to use the city centre pubs. But, a better offering of bottled beers and spirit options would improve the experience.

The room was beautiful as well as the main lobby and terrace.

Staff weren't very helpful or friendly especially during breakfast service. It took well over an hour for us to receive our breakfast, waiting half an hour just for someone to take our order.

The room we had was just beautiful…… if you love the art deco style then this place is the one for you! Honestly couldn’t fault anything and the staff throughout the hotel were SUPER helpful.

Absolutely NOTHING

Regularly stay here when in York and this is our happy place. We have stayed in many other hotels in York over the years but this is by far the best. The beautiful art deco bar, spotless rooms and our favourite, huge comfy beds. The Elmbank always delivers, on this occassion for the first time ever we stayed in the annexe across the road, room was huge and very much in the Elmbank style. The George Walton elements make it just that little bit special 😊

Hilton now charge for the bottle of water in the room on arrival, just seems a little petty

With the trademark huge Elmbank bed we were very happy with our room, stay here often when in York and this is our happy place, can’t fault it

We had a room in the courtyard and it was lovely and peaceful out there! The bar was really nice too, it's beautifully decorated.

Breakfast was great with freshly cooked choice . We were really bowled over by the historic art nouveau interior by Walton which is worth making a special trip to see and the staff were the icing on the cake ,friendly helpful and obliging well done

Love the history,decor and the beautiful art nouveau glasswork.. All very comfortable. Convenient for York with approx a 20’ walk. Staff were lovely and helpful at reception, in restaurant and behind the bar. Breakfast was very good and an excellent selection. Room clean and bathroom excellent with effective air con and showers.

I really liked the Art Nouveau decor in the main hotel. Our bedroom and bathroom were also imaginatively decorated. The location was good with convenient buses when it was too hot to walk into York. The air conditiing was very effective and the shower was good.

The breakfast was a little chaotic, things kept running out. The cooked breakfast was good. It took 3 or 4 attempts for my bill to be sorted out correctly.

Gorgeous hotel with loads of beautiful arts and crafts/art deco windows and decor. Lovely staff and excellent breakfast. With the heatwave we appreciated the air conditioning!

The only thing that was difficult was finding a parking space as the hotel car park is small, and also parking seemed expensive to us at £18 a day.

It’s a beautiful building in a very good location for York Races and bus to York. Room decor is very tasteful.

Only stayed for 1 night but found the hotel to be even more beautiful than the pictures. The rooms were large yet cosy with a lovely art nouveau style. The bathrooms were exquisite. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

Glass of tap water in the bar the glasses are tiny. The barman also took blackcurrant cordial from under the counter and it.was in a.massive 5 litre cafton which was 2 thirds gone. Customers dknt want to see that. Dispense from a decanter maybe

Really nice room in the Lodge with Aircon as it was roasting. Comfy bed and shower was superb with clean linen. Staff were very friendly at reception and Hotel itself was very nice with a tremendous breakfast.

It was a tad hot in the room for breakfast and it could have benefited from Aircon but the food itself and selection were spot on.

The amazing art nouveau decor, it was like staying in an art gallery with friendly and considerate staff - all - reception, dining room, cleaners, bar staff !!! Breakfast and dinner delicious too x

Staff were so very friendly and helpful throughout the hotel. Very clean unique rooms. We sat outside on the terrace for breakfast which was lovely. Walking distance to the city centre. Approx 20 minutes and all bathed. Definitely recommend the hotel.

Unlucky to choose a bank holiday plus race day so the price was very high.

The hotel in general is absolutely lovely, we have stayed there a few time recently and had no cause to complain it was excellnt in every way, but our last visit last week wasn't the best.

The food in the restaurant was cold and either overcooked or stale from the day before. We also stayed in the ground level and the residents above did not have any consideration for other residents, they're were banging around the room, moving furniture and pacing up and down for at least an hour in the early hours having just come in from York centre. I reported this when it started again at 6.00 in the morning but nothing was done. This isn't usual for this hotel as it is normally week managed and lovely stay.

The main hotel looked lovely especially the lounge area.

Staff weren't the most friendliest. Did not like our room in basement as it was dark. There was also a huge crack on lower wall near bathroom doorwhich had been painted over but plaster was crumbly and it looked like plaster had come away from the wall and someone had trued to piece it together like a jigsaw.

The reception staff were so friendly and the breakfast was lovely.

The outside and main parts of the hotel looked nice

The one and only window in King Courtyard Room faces an unsecured back alley car park and industrial size bins. It is unsafe and unhygienic. No light in the room as it’s blocked by the rear of the van. Staff were rude, dismissive and discriminatory; with the receptionist calling me names and hanging up the phone. I’ve reported it and informed them that as a doctor I understand that people struggle with communication but her conduct was completely unacceptable. That said I doubt anything will come of it as her behaviour is probably indicative of the workplace culture. Dreadful hotel that felt like it had the reception of a 4 star hotel and room of a no star back alley motel with staff that behaved as such.

The bedroom was not very welcoming.( I had wanted carpeted floors as my partner is deaf). I would have much preferred a room above ground floor. The welcome tray was basic considering the price of the room. The photos made the room look much more colourful and brighter (possibly because the room was on ground floor) but the poor lighting and hard flooring made the overall atmosphere oppressive. It took us 40 minutes to find a parking place as everywhere was full.

The bed was very comfortable and the shower was very good.

Room size and quality was poor considering the cost. Breakfast not included in the high price and then expected to pay for bottle water in the room. Choice of dishes in the restaurant was limited and most of the food options seemed to be fried.

Não tem elevadores. No primeiro dia, 28 de maio, quando chegamos as 9:30 hs no restaurante para o cafe da manhã havia acabado tudo! E a máquina de cafe havia quebrado. Não foi bom. No segundo dia, chegamos mais cedo e a situação se normalizou. Tive um problema com a reserva. No check eu informada que tinha dois números de reserva e fui cobrada duplicado. Eu nunca reservei dois quartos e nunca houve confirmação pelo booking destas duas reservas. Já entrei em contato com o booking para resolver esta questão.

The staff where very loud at night, our check in time was 3pm and we wasn’t let into our room until 3:50 after arriving at 2:55 after a 2 hour long drive, wasn’t offered complementary drinks when having to wait for the room to be ready. Staff didn’t notify us of times of breakfast or checkout time the day after and we was treated differently to others checking out before us. The breakfast staff where amazing they was really friendly and welcoming however it was the check in staff and the evening staff that ruined our stay shouting and talking loudly at 11:15pm was disrespectful when our room was two doors away from the reception. The room wasn’t ready due to cleaning of the bathroom and once we was in we inspected this and it wasn’t thoroughly cleaned, the safety catch on the window was also broken which made me feel unsafe as we was on the ground floor

This is an excellent hotel, only 15 minutes walk outside of York. The rooms are beautifully designed and spacious. The staff are very friendly and the restaurant provides very good food at a reasonable price, if you buy a dinner voucher from their website beforehand. I'd recommend both the restaurant and hotel.

There were 2 bottles of water in the room, with a sign on that says it's £2.50 each if you drink. I didn't drink it obviously, but what cheek. It's the reason your 9 is not a 10.

The large room with just 1 tiny seat. How are you supposed to relax? We reported our Fridge was faulty, it was not fixed after 4 days. The staff do not manage the EV parking! It's a lottery, they are often taken by petrol cars. Do Not stay here if EV charging is essential. Finally the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. In the room you are given a QR code to scan for Menu etc, except it's last year's!! Hopeless

Öncelikle otele giriş yaptığımızda saat 15.00 olmasına rağmen Odamız hazır değildi temizlendiğini söylediler ve uzun süre bizi beklettiler.sonra ıkı kat bavulları kendimiz çıkarttık asansör yoktu ama yardım edecek bırıde yoktu ve rica etmemize rağmen yardım edilmedi.sonrasında odalar kokuyordu bina eskı ve havasız havalandırma iyicalısmıyor ve ben alerjik ve astım hastasıyım odada çok boğuldum pencerelerin kilitli olması saçma. Sabah kahvaltıda bir omlet istedik tam ıkı saatte geldi kahvaltıdan kalkmamıza yakın bir daha bu tesiste kalmam!!!
