Reviewed Sep 8, 2026Staff were excellent. Room was a good size, a little dated but had everything we needed; coffee, tea, TV etc Bathroom was more modern and spacious. Good amount of parking and we became members and paid $15 per day, which we think is a good rate. The mountain view was stunning; snow and the lake They also have a sauna, spa and gym free to use but we didn't make use this time. Communal washing machine and dryers are available, which take NZ coins and detergent can be bought from reception. Overall a lovely place to stay, nice rooms, peaceful and matched with amazing views Once again, many thanks to the lovely staff

There should be a microwave in the room. Buffet breakfast really needs to be worked on. There are not many options to choose from and the same menu every day.

Parking fee was only $15 as a IHG member. I can understand charging a fee in peak periods, but not in a shoulder season.

While the room is on the smaller side, it was nicely warm. The staff were absolutely wonderful—so friendly and helpful! The breakfast spread was incredible. We had a fantastic stay here with our kid; highly recommended for families!"

Cleanliness, on the second day of the stay, no housekeeping attended and left the room dirty. Also, the carpet edge was coming off and the nails were sticking out from the carpet which stabbed me, my wife and my 11 month daughter. A big safety hazard!! It was fixed the same day but it should have been fixed already before allocating the room to us. Luckily no one got seriously sick so far from the nail stabbing. Very unhappy with the property maintenance.

Reviewed Jun 1, 2026The beds were reasonably comfortable. The shower had great pressure. The room was clean and tidy. The range of teas and coffees was good. I liked the handwash, hand and body cream, body wash, shampoo and conditioner, too.
There was a stain on the couch that wasn't nice. In winter, the beds could be presented with a nice comforter and electric blankets. I didn't like that the bathroom window couldn't be opened, or that there wasn't a microwave to heat up teas and coffees that may have gotten cold. There was no compendium outlining the things to do or services available at the hotel, and the streaming service kept glitching (the wifi needed to be rebooted).
