ガーデンから西湖が見えるとのことでしたが、木々のあいだにほんの少し見えるだけだったのが残念でした。

No swimming pool. No good restaurants. Staff didn’t speak English.

The location could be good, however, accessing the location is horrific due to traffic congestion.

Love the location which is near West Lake and just 5-8mins walk from Impressions of West Lake performance. However be prepared for the heavy traffic around the hotel and plan your schedule to accommodate for that. Pressure for showerhead was strong which was much appreciated. The staff at Horizon Club especially Ms Kitty Zheng were very helpful and made us felt at home. Ms Kitty Zheng was really kind and dedicated. She advised and assisted with our bookings for the attractions including a musuem in Shanghai; as well as booking for a ride to the train station using her personal mobile number as we couldn’t book one on the DiDi app. That really saved our day and made us felt the Shangrila hospitality. We will definitely book at Shangri-La again if we come back to Hangzhou.

Room is a little dim and old. Facilities especially the toilet could be refurbished.

I find the hotel was too old and expensive.

The room offers a wonderful view of the scenic West Lake. The staff members are very helpful. In particular, I wish to give my compliments to the amiable staff members of the lounge and restaurant.

Hangzhou is renowned for the tidal bore of Qiantang River. I think all visitors to Hangzhou should have watching the tidal bore on their agenda. Being the first time visitor to Hangzhou, I am no exception. But when I asked a male staff member at the reception counter of the hotel (10:05pm on 9 Oct) about the information on the tidal bore, that staff member simply and bluntly replied having no information in hand without offering any hint or other advice. I am not sure if the manner of that staff member only reflected his own problem, having nothing to do with the overall training staff of the hotel. Look forward to a better experience for my next visit to the hotel.

Es ist einfach bereits abgewohnt. Neue Tapeten, neue Böden, möglichst ohne Teppich, und es wird ein charmantes Vintage Hotel.

黄金位置，适合沉浸式体验西湖，去各个景点也很方便。

硬件明显年久老旧、处处充斥着一种潮湿霉腐的气味。没有大堂酒廊，没有晚餐自助。早餐没有想象中的那么好，中餐厅的水准一般。酒店空调冷风强劲，晚上必须关闭入睡。

一切都很好，就是酒店的设备比较陈旧。

They sold it as a room with lake view but I never saw the lake from my room! And I paid a premium!

The location is the best for sightseeing especially around the west lake. Room is Bit old but clean and good size. Maid at my floor was great. Would stay here again for it’s great location.

The location of the hotel is unique!! Also this is a historical building with beautiful atmosphere and surroundings. The room they gave us was huge with high ceilings and beautiful windows looking at the lake. I hope to return soon

The property is immense and very beautiful, however it does seem that a bit more care could be given to some aspects of the property. The carpets in particular had a few stains & spills on them across the hallways & in the rooms. The staff are attentive and very helpful, the breakfast buffet was delicious with a wide range of options. The location is exquisite, right on the picturesque West Lake. The property would fit in perfectly into a Wes Anderson film.

Facing the west lake, it is best place to view the west lake. It is near Su Di and Lou Wai Lou, the famous restaurant. Temple Yue is 3 min away. Really love the breakfast there. The ginger tea brought us a warm morning during a code winter time. Two birds in the hotel lobby could green guests. And the most important, the hotel hosted a lot of political leaders in the past.

Staff was helpful. I was trying to organise a birthday party for one of the group. Came out quite well. The rooms are clean and well kept, but needs updating.

Needs some updating and refurbishment.

Breakfast maybe more of a western one

Located in a quiet area of the West Lake and steps away from the Su and Yanggong Causeways, and directly below a hiking trail up the hills behind: this is a very romantic location. Hotel breakfast was excellent and there are also reasonable shops and restaurants nearby.

The bedroom stank really badly of Cigarette Smoke. We tried leaving the windows open but it was too bad. I definitely wouldn’t stay in this hotel again. Ended up sick with bad sinus. Sooo bad!! Carpets were old and dirty, needs seriously cleaning or replacement.

Overall excellent services from all staffs. Rooms are clean but the entire hotel seems old and need a good renovation. Meals are good.

A great location.

Shangri-la Hotels, as a brand, is one of my favorite brands. The Shangri-la Hangzhou, overlooking the famous Xihu, is impeccably maintained and clean. The rooms are decently sized and comfortable. The staff is not obtrusive but always present and pleasant. The amenities are commensurate with the type of rooms. It is definitely a great hotel for leisure travel or vacation resort. I'll definitely go there again on my next visit to Hangzhou.

Location is great, cross street is the lake. Staff is very friendly.

The front desk and concierge staff are exceptional. On his personal time, a member of the concierge team went to the rail station and purchased a ticket on my behalf. Fabulou!

Location: Perfect location, next to the Xi Lake. Room: Room is ok. Breakfast: Breakfast is average, no knife.

Facility: The facilities are ancient, including the switches, the powerpoints, the shower head and everything in the room. I believe that the facilities just reached the level of a three-star hotel. three-and-half star maybe, but the price is over the five-star hotel. Not happy to pay for historical feelings.

Not convenient for public transportation except taxi.

The location is very good, almost next to West Lake where we took morning walks. Nearby there are eateries and convenience shops. The staff were very helpful to advise on places of interest and how to get there.

The housekeeping service is a bit inconsistent as same request made by me and another member had different responses. But this is minor issue.

Requested a quiet room on a high floor. Given the exact opposite and possibly the worse hotel room in the entire hotel. It was noisy and the hotel room was falling apart. Example, curtains could not even close. Pillow had black insects. I would suggest to avoid this hotel at all costs. You can literally do better by booking any other hotel in Hangzhou.

The hotel is very old, furniture and bathroom need to be refurbished. I booked this hotel because of the location, however there are more better choice beside Shangri-La Hangzhou. Will not come back again unless they refurbish the hotel.

major staf from the lobby even don't know when the hotel's gym is located, luckily a girl from tea shop outside hotel knew that (best regards to her). the hotel need renovation finally, not clean and dusty close to bed, everything old inside and need to be replaced ASAP.

We had a good stay. The hotel staff were courteous. The room is clean. Somehow my booking didn't include breakfast which was a surprise. The route to the hotel is very busy and constantly congested. So plan 10-15 minutes ahead if leaving for train or flight.

For those who like to walk into the most beautiful West Lake lakeside parks, there is no other hotel in Hangzhou that has a better location than this one. The staff, especially the reception staff are very friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast is great.

The food in the third floor restaurant is not quiet up to the Shangri-La standards.

It is next to the lake and one of the best parks in Hangzhou.

Amazing property. Across the street is the path to the lake. Definitely would stay here again.
