Reviewed Sep 11, 2026Trotz der Nähe zu Verkehrsströmen ist die Lage ruhig und grün. Das Haus ist sauber und gepflegt. Die Zimmer sind groß. Die Betten und Installationen funktionieren gut. Das Frühstück war schmackhaft und gut. Jenseits der nächsten Straße liegt ein Park & Ride Parkplatz (außer Seh- und Hörweite). Deshalb gibt es eine gute Busanbindung zur Innenstadt. Parken ist in GB überall teuer; hier am Hotel ist es mit Rabatt erträglich.
Das Wetter wurde kühl. Dadurch stieg die Luftfeuchtigkeit, was sich im Zimmer nicht gut kontrollieren ließ. Das Fenster war nützlich zum Lüften, aber die Kimaanlage schob Luft, ohne merklich zu wärmen. Im Restaurantteil blies der kühle Luftstrom fortwährend. Das Haus war etwas schwierig zu finden: Es gibt eine Stelle und einen Blickwinkel, aus dem man es gut sehen kann, aber kaum aus dem Auto bei der Anfahrt aus anderer Richtung.

Reviewed Sep 9, 2026It had standard comfy beds and clean bathrooms. Good selection of breakfast food. Pleasantly surprised that they had bagged Gluten Free cereal at breakfast time.
Advertising parking and then to find out on arrival the parking is paid (£14 per day) is a little deceiving and when raised the staff just mentioned "Well we don't own the car park so..." which seemed to be the whole explanation. The breakfast was good but finding space to sit was an issue. The dining space seemed very minimal and if there was a free table it would have plates still on them.

Reviewed Sep 8, 2026Nice welcome from Matt on arrival. My first experience of staying at a Holiday Inn. Room similar to Premier Inn/Travelodge style. Very clean, spacious and functional. Breakfast is included in the room rate.
Could do with more Dining Room staff. No choice of table on arrival for breakfast. Had to use one right by the television. All smaller ones nearer to the buffet area were totally full of remnants of dirty plates etc from previous guests.

Arrived at 11.30pm, the car park was full, I am a blue badge holder and the night receptionist told me it wasn't his problem, he was smirking at me, when I lost my temper he said the hotel didn't own the car park, I asked fory money back and he told me to come back in the morning. He finally said I could park in the Miller & Carter restaurant car park, the staff there told me it belonged to the hotel, the whole car park did so he lied. It was a long walk for me back to reception. Overall disgusted the way I was treated.

Breakfast. Plates were not clean. Took ages to find one that I was willing to use. Obviously been in the dishwasher but covered in gritty bits left on after washing. Cutlery not clean. I had to clean my cutlery with serviettes. Staff were efficient in the way they worked but not really interested in my concerns over dirty plates and cutlery.

The booking was confusing. I picked a twin room, but was allocated a standard room. However, the receptionist did find us a family room, so that was OK. Our problems were a very noisy family next door, out of control children, chaos at breakfast due to a large party which included this family. They also took platefuls of food out of the breakfast room, presumably for lunch. No member of staff challenged any of this behaviour and we all know why. Frankly, it was unhygenic and dangerous. I have tried several times to write an honest review, but have been told it wasn't acceptable, however I worded it.

Parking horrendous, especially with 2 coaches onsite on night and trade vans parking on double yellow lines. Smokers outside front entrance. Inability to register vehicle for visiting family, who were only picking up and dropping back to the room causing some anxiety that they would be charged if they exceeded the 20 minute allowance, getting me to and from my room.

Reviewed Aug 14, 2026Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber, die Betten sehr groß und bequem, die Ausstattung mit Fön, Bügeleisen, Bügelbrett, Wasserkocher mit Tee, Kaffee und Milch sehr gut. Das Frühstücksbuffet hatte mit Obst, Joghurt, Müsli, Toast, Muffins, Croissants, Aufstriche, Bacon, Rührei, Würstchen, Bohnen sowie Panecake alles, was man braucht, um gut in den Tag zu starten. Auch Wasser, Säfte und alle Arten von Heißgetränken. Hier muss man aufpassen, wenn man keinen löslichen bzw. Nescafe mag, sollte man den zweiten Vollautomaten nutzen. Wir wurden außerdem sehr gut über Allergene in den Nahrungsmitteln aufgeklärt. Tische gab es ausreichend, wir mussten nie warten und das Personal ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Gegenüber des Hotels gibt es einen Park and ride Parkplatz mit guten Busanbindungen nach Exeter City. Parkgebühr auf hoteleigenem Parkplatz 7 Pfund pro Tag. Günstig im Vergleich, die Parkgebühren sind in Großbritannien sehr hoch.

Dál od centra. Při ubytování 4 osob velmi málo prostoru na pokoji. Přistýlka (rozkládací gauč) ne úplně stabilní. Nemožnost otevřít okno v pokoji. Na pokoji není lednice. V koupelně není štětka na WC. Na snídani není možnost klasické snídaně (sýr, šunka, zelenina).

Reviewed Aug 10, 2026I loved the comfortable room it was quite and I slept well and very clean the reception staff on both days were really friendly and helpful not pretending. The staff on the morning breakfast were so busy but still managed to make it lot easy. And nothing was to much.one member of staff made me laugh. I'm staying again in two weeks i will certainly recommend to stay here to anyone that asks thank you so much for a lovely stay.
