The Westin St. Louis

The bed and pillows were comfortable in the room. Air-conditioning worked fabulous.

The cleanliness of the general areas needed help. While checking in a girl was complaining about her room air not working and the gentleman with the check on it and came back and said yeah her room is hot. The front desk person said were sold out, you have to fix it. The gentleman said it’s not fixable. The next morning when I’m checking out, an older lady said she needed to check out and stated the TV didn’t work, the air did not work, and something else wasn’t working and all they said was we’re sorry to hear that and gave her nothing as a discount or in return.

The breakfast was good. The rooms were clean. Most employees were nice !!

First My room tv wouldn’t work , my refrigerator had to be replaced, and as I was sleeping my cabinet door in the bathroom fell off and scared me to death. I needed ketchup for my food but didnt receive it so I had to walk to get it.And as I’m checking out and relaying all my problems I was blown off like I was bothering them. I came to this hotel because of my last visit here but I will check around for other hotels now instead of just saying let’s stay at the Westin . Sorry I had a bad visit and I nobody even acknowledged it. I used to always stay here with my family 😭😭😭

The elevators were broken. My husband has a bad back and had to climb 4 flights of stairs. There wasn’t a sign that said the elevators weren’t working. There wasn’t black mold in our room and in the hallways.

Extremely nice room & comfy pillows & bed. The bathroom was huge & location, location! Staff were great too, easy check-in & out.

There were very minor areas that were not clean. The small bench had a tiny stain, not sure if it was makeup or food. Bathroom door handle felt like it had something on it. Nothing worth complaining to staff about.

Currently staying at The Westin St. Louis for a multi-day trip, and the property is severely falling short of Westin and Marriott standards. ​The Issues: ​Room Quality & Housekeeping: Our first room had its door propped open for repairs. Our reassigned room had a detached thermostat, a bathroom cabinet door that fell off upon opening, and a half-used water bottle left in the refrigerator. ​Valet Service: Waited over 30 minutes for a $50/day valet service, was brought the wrong car, then the driver drove off in said wrong vehicle recklessly—squealing tires and driving erratically. He returned in my vehicle, tailgating customers waiting in line, and then evidently walked off shift mid-evening, leaving the hotel with zero valet coverage. ​Management Absence: Front desk staff noted management would reach out regarding these issues, but there was no manager currently on duty, leaving one person to cover front desk and valet entirely alone. ​The Positive: The associate working guest services/front desk was exceptional. She was calm, professional, and genuinely trying her best while leadership left her completely stranded to handle front desk duties, guest complaints, and valet chaos all by herself. ​A great frontline employee cannot cover for a complete lack of property oversight.

The rooms are amazingly big, clean and the shower was nice after a smoldering day at the stadium! The whole stay was pleasant and rememberable. Next time in downtown St. Louis, we will be there!

We only stay at Marriott’s and to say this experience was awful is an understatement. The house cleaning left our door OPEN in the middle of the day. We didn’t get back till night so that was extremely upsetting. There was a used q-tip on our window seal that they never cleaned before or during our trip. The wall had red stains on it and the bed had brown stains on the sheet. They also failed to tell us that the parking lot across the street wasn’t there’s. So we ended up paying over $50 more than we should’ve. They never showed us anything having to do with parking when we arrived.

Everything about this hotel is amazing. The staff, rooms and all communal areas. The room is spacious and was clean and very quiet! Great view!

Parking options aren't the best. You're forced to pay $50 for valet parking because street parking is very minimal or either $40 for self-parking but you walk a country mile.

Location for Cardinals game ....aross the street. Couldn't be easier.

St Louis has become a dump. Had been but I think getting worse. Human excrement on the sidewalk. Incredible. Wouldn't want to walk around after dark. Come on St. Louis. Figure it out!

Overview: A decent Westin in very close proximity to the baseball park and Federal Building. Large rooms but hotel needs some maintenance. Arrival: Arrived by Uber in the evening. No doorman or bellhop present. Check in: Efficient check in. Acknowledged by Marriott status. Room (735): Large king room with all the normal appliances including TV, mini-refrigerator, mini-coffee maker, etc. Bed: Decent bed Bathroom: Large bathroom with a nice bathtub for soaking. Lighting in the bathroom was inadequate. Sleep quality: Overall good with minimal noise from hallway and nearby rooms Perks for Marriott status: Points offered at check in and free breakfast buffet in lounge. The breakfast buffet was better than average. Also received late checkout. Also, manager left a note and a snack tray for me in my room. Nice touch to see the arrival gift in my room. Staff: Overall staff was very helpful. Maintenance needed: The elevators need repairing; several buttons would not light up in the elevators, and the elevator call buttons did not light up on some floors.

It was a great location and clean for an older hotel. Bathroom could use some updating (shower tile was chipping) but overall it was fine.

The drag racing at 1AM was pretty loud but that is not the hotels fault. Daily parking was pretty pricey but I’m sure as to be expected for city.

Supposed to have included breakfast but we had to pay $50 for pancakes and French Toast, The bathroom light flickered, toilet flush broke, ice machine on our floor was broken. We lost a key chain charm that had $10 in it my wife really liked.

I enjoyed my stay at the Westin. The room was spacious and very quiet (on the west side of the hotel). I found it very strange that the bar didn't have any red wine all three nights of my stay. Service in the bar was excellent 2 of the 3 nights. Proximity to Ballpark Village and the stadium can't be beat. If you go to Katie's Pizza & pasta, make a reservation (if the Card's are in town).

Everyone was great. Friendly and helpful. Especially Jamaal in the bar area.

Since I can't always get out and do the activities most travelers enjoy, having such a comfortable place to stay made all the difference. The beds are incredibly comfortable—so much so that your bed at home may not seem quite as impressive afterward! The staff provides excellent service and is always friendly and accommodating. The property is handicap accessible, and the short walk from valet parking to check-in is especially helpful for those with mobility concerns. The location is fantastic, right next to the ballpark and very family-friendly. The room service is outstanding, with food that's so good you'll be craving it long after your stay. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting St. Louis, whether for medical appointments, business, or leisure. We had one room with view of stadium and second room was upgraded to a suite. Super comfortable beds. Love the excitement of Cardinals baseball. We stay at this hotel every year when we attend baseball games! An amazing stay and experience!

The room was big and the bed was comfortable but the room did not smell good at all. The location of the hotel was ideal for a baseball game but the parking lot was very run down and had trash and did not seem very secure for the price.

Went to a Cards game. Location was perfect. Across the street from the stadium and bars and restaurants after the game. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

Rooms were nice, people were mostly friendly and bar was so so.

The bathroom, especially in the shower the bench was held up by a piece of wood. And the way the shower was, water running out making the floor wet and the tiles getting wet that could be a hazard or even a lawsuit waiting to happen.

遠い昔に高級ホテルとして認識されていた The Westin とは別物になっているようです。 4つ星と分類されているのかもしれないこのホテルですが、実際は、3つ星の実力でしょう。さらに言えば、3つ星なら、電子レンジが部屋にあるとか、コインランドリーがあるとか、そういうメリットがありますが、こちらは4つ星だからか、そういうものがありません。 ホテル全体でも、人的リソース、設備、備品などのいろいろな面でリソースを節約しているようです。 チェックイン・チェックアウトが多くなる時間帯は、列がとても長くなっていました。 部屋の電話についている Service Express というボタンも、レセプションデスクへの直通電話なのでしょう。忙しそうな時間帯には、何度かけてもだれも出てくれませんでした。 わたしたちのチェックインのときには、あまりレセプションの人の対応が事務的で簡単すぎたので、なにかおかしいと思い、「朝食込みのはず」というと、彼女は、無表情に、スクリーンを再確認したかどうかわかりませんでしたが、クーポンを一枚くれました。 「いや、わたしたちは3泊するんですよ。」というと、隣のレセプションの人に何かを訊いたあと、もう2枚くれました。どういうことだったのか、よくわかりません。 なお、朝食時にはレストランの人たちはクーポンをごく自然に受け取っていたし、隣のテーブルのアメリカ人夫妻らしき人たちがクーポンを出していたのを見たので、クーポンが普通に使われているのは間違いないはずです。 建物や (少なくとも私たちの) 客室はあからさまに破損しているところは見当たらないとはいえ、古さを感じさせるものです。 部屋に置かれているアメニティセットは、石鹸・シャンプー類以外はゼロです。 部屋には、椅子が一つしかありません。ソファーが一つとかではなく、テーブル用の椅子が一つあるだけで、ほかに坐る場所がないのです。 コーヒーを飲もうとしても、一人分しか坐る場所がないのでもう一人はフットベンチ (ベッドエンドベンチ) かベッドの上に坐るということになります。 TVは最近のインターネット対応のものになっており、Youtube も見られましたが、どういうわけか2日目には「インターネット接続がない」というエラーになり、使えなくなりました。メンテナンスの人が来てくれましたが彼には直せませんでした。 朝食のためにレストランに行くと、サーバーの人たちが不足しているのかどうかわかりませんが、席に着くのに時間がかかり、わたしたちが席で何かを依頼しようとするにも時間がかかりました。 なお、朝食込みプランと言っても、ありがちな「一人$25まで」の方式でした。 昨今は、ランクの高いホテルは、ハウスキーピングにもある程度コストをかけるようになってていると聞きますが、ここでは、働いている人には申し訣ないが、そういう感じはしませんでした。 一部屋当たりに時間がかかっているのか、人が少なすぎるのか、ハウスキーピングが来る時間帯が、午後6時ころだったり、午後1時ころだったりしましたが、それはともかくとして、部屋にいるときにハウスキーピングとして来てくれた人に、(bath towel その他の簡単な英単語も通じなかったのには少し驚きましたが)タオルの交換を頼んだら、それをした後、ベッドやごみ箱について何もしないで彼女が帰っていきそうになりました。そういえば、彼女は浴槽の掃除はしてくれませんでした。 3ドルのチップを渡しましたが、少なすぎたのでしょうか? 実のところ、Booking.com のレビューを見て、このホテルが許容範囲と見たのですが、今回は失敗でした。Booking.com に限らず、レビューの真実を読み取るには注意を払っているのですが、このホテルへの好意的なレビューが多いことが不思議です。日本人が歓迎されていないだけでしょうか。 このようなたぐいのレビューには、GMや部門責任者の方から「これは当ホテルの基準に合致していない。次は完全に満足していただけることを約束する。」とか「問題はすべて改善しました。」と返ってくることがほかのホテルのレビューを見ていると多いようです。 このホテルについてはどうかわかりませんが、いずれにしても、そのようなレビューへの返答は観察していると、どのホテルでも後になっても解決していない事柄を教えてくれるものになっていることがしばしば見受けられます。 マリオットグループの、このホテルにおいても、いろいろなことが改善することはとても難しかろうと想像します。 マリオットグループでは一部を除き、星の数を一つずつ減らして見るのがいいのかも。

Check-in was the best part. Very helpful front desk. Physically, hotel is nice - it is airy with high ceilings. Room is large. Daily room service was inattentive though and neglected to stock items, which is rare in our experience, especially for this category. Our room contained ONE coffee cup, TWO lids, ONE water bottle, ONE plastic cup, and ZERO glasses. It just seemed a little inattentive. When we asked for some glasses later in the evening (different crew worked the front desk) we were told they will ‘try to get them’. Needless to say we never received them. Gym is rather small for hotel size. Inexpensive street or lot parking next to hotel.

Jamaal is hands down the best! From start to finish, he was incredibly attentive, professional, and genuinely cared about making sure everything was perfect. His customer service went above and beyond — you can tell he truly takes pride in what he does. He made the entire experience smooth, enjoyable, and stress-free. Easily a 10/10 — I would absolutely recommend him to anyone!

This is a wonderful hotel! I have stayed here multiple times. Close proximity to a variety of restaurants and the staff is amazing! If anything is not to your liking, they will go above and beyond to make it right. Tamen and Jamaal were incredible! I would choose to stay here again and again!

The location. The view to the city. The hotel conditions is good, everything looked elegant!

You’re in the middle of America. Get employees who speak some English! Even the restaurant servers DO NOT speak English. Both times we went and ordered they had no idea what we ordered and had to have a MANAGER come and confirm what we were saying. Crazy.

The location was perfect for the event we were attending and it’s right in front of the Busch Stadium and the Arch.

As soon as we got there, we were kinda treated differently because we had never been there and no we didn’t know where to go. One morning, we called the office about WiFi because it wasn’t connecting and again, was laughed at and treated like we were stupid for not getting it connected. Then there’s the room, nothing was wiped down! Bathroom, shower, tables and windows, also fridge didn’t work and one of the locks that you fold over the door didn’t have the hook on the door for it to l onto. One last thing, I was never told about paying for parking in our hotel parking lot. Was never explained to me even self parking in the hotels parking lot a block away was going to be $42/day. I was truly shocked when I went to check out and they told me the charges. Even my $80 dinner with 2 meals took over a hour just to get to order my food. Overall, love the location and had stayed at a Westin previous to this one and it definitely wasn’t the same.

I rarely write reviews, but I just had to get on here to express my appreciation for the front desk associate April Retrina. At the end of January, my husband and I had visited the Westin and it was very important for us to have a quiet room. She was able to get us an amazing room that was quiet and gave us the best customer service we have received at a hotel. It is really hard to find great customer service these days and she went above and beyond, and we are more than appreciative of her for making this important trip go so well.

We stayed 4 nights here for a family trip, we loved the location and could walk to the Arch, City Museum, Union Station and many restaurants. We loved our spacious room. However the Club lounge was lacking. It was often out of cups, plates, bowls, silverware, & napkins. Even after telling the front desk there were no plates at 8a during breakfast, no one even came after 15 minutes. I just shared my husbands plate. Often they did not restock snacks and just lacked putting in effort for this nice perk for Marriott reward members. It didn’t ruin our stay but it was certainly disappointing.

The room was incredibly spacious, everything was very clean, the tub was HUGE, and with absolutely stunning floor to ceiling windows. Genuinely so stunning, I wish we could have stayed longer.

The restaurant staff was friendly, helpful, and gave recommendations for quick dishes as we were running a little late for a show. The rooms had comfortable beds, heavy drapes, and nice amenities. Lobby and hallways were clean.

Cleanliness of the rooms was slightly below expectations. Dust in the corners, along baseboards, and on the lights. Additionally, we had stains on our mattresses and bedding.
