Well, the businesses usually nothing to say though but the surface to be honest it’s to be complicated 50-50

Everything all ok, except there was no food available from 21.30, the kitchen closes. Not even a sandwich, this needs to be address, there should be some sort of food, if only some bread. I returned to the hotel at 10.30 and there was nothing to eat except a packet of crisps, somebaody should be trained to make a basic sandwich, with 3 bar staff personnel and reception staff, no one could make a sandwich or get a croissant?

There was no breakfast available, the bed was uncomfortable and the rooms basic also the colour of the hallways on the second floor where like you were in prison or university halls awful

The room was comfortable. The building itself was nice and in a good location. The breakfast area was lovely with options for extra things you can request to be made (e.g. pancakes, which were lovely!), and a lovely selection of tea. The staff were also all very lovely and helpful!

A few issues with the rooms - no socket near the mirror to use hair styling tools, the shower door was broken, etc. I also didn’t love all the parts of breakfast

There was a wedding party, and the music was extremely noisy. It did stop at midnight but better sound insulation for the events suite would be a good idea.

Big, super clean rooms, very comfortable beds and great staff . Parking is good.

The location though very central is in a high traffic zone. The surrounding independent shops look quite shady( most of Bolton does ) though the mall opposite is good

The staff were very warm and efficient The premises - super clean. Breakfast was a delightful spread Subject to availability, we had an early check-in at no extra cost. That was very nice. Overall very good 4 nights stay!

The staff, facilities, food were excellent! I’ve travelled a LOT! Definitely one of my favourite hotels to stay in! Who knew I would find that in Bolton? The reason why? The staff were all incredibly friendly, kind and went above and beyond! Literally everyone was kind and obviously took their roles seriously to make everyone have a comfortable stay. I’ve never seen staff so positive and passionate about making their guests feel so welcome and anticipating every guest’s needs. Always on hand. Never intrusive. Just thoughtful, attentive detail. And shout out to house service! The place was spotless! I was even asked if there was anything they could improve on. My reply? Nothing.

Good town center location. Staff were very friendly. Easy check in - no waiting despite it being a busy day with two events on. Hotel was busy but no issues with noise etc. Fan was provided in the room due to the hot weather. Very much appreciated.

The main issue was a really horrible smell of drains - which led to a poor night's sleep. Whole bathroom just needed some good disinfectant! The bed wasn't particularly comfortable and had an overly soft lumpy mattress. The mattress topper and sheet were not on properly - I had to re-make it myself. Overall the impression was that housekeeping were rushing rooms and had no pride in the place. I paid for breakfast but didn't eat there - didn't feel the place was clean so I just wanted to leave as early as possible.

Holiday Inn in Bolton is an excellent, convenient hotel close to Bolton centre and its Victorian town hall which looks like a palace and has real style. Nat Lofthouse and his Bolton team were welcomed here when they brought the FA Cup back in 1958. The hotel is modern, well staffed, with excellent service. There is ample, free car parking, and plenty of space to enjoy a drink. I saw a man working, undisturbed on his laptop till late. The only quibble I have is with the idiot on their centralised reservation who tried to tell me there wasn't a Holiday Inn in Bolton. He made some enquiries, didn't bother to apologize and gabbled some rubbish from his script about how pleased he was that I was a member of their reservation service/club. Don't be put off, just wonder at the stupidity.

Comfortable bed and great location

Area looks tired in Bolton nowadays but hotel can't help that.

A lovely hotel, very comfortable rooms, helpful staff, freshly cooked breakfast and excellent bar area for the evening. The hotel is also centrally located to Bolton which is great. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and would return if visiting Bolton again 😊.

Arrived but unfortunately they had 2 weddings on . My room I think was above wedding area, felt the dance floor was in my room - music very very loud couldn’t relax or sleep finally stopped midnight, did complain but all I got was 1free drink and plenty of sorry. Also paid 3 nights for parking once again first night - no parking available- told to park in street . You can also not use cash - it’s a cashless hotel

No air con like sleeping in a furnace eventhough the room had air con fitted, aprrently not in use since covid , most uncomfortable nights sleep. Shower dangerous went flying no none slip mat extremely dangerous. Disabled parking bays shocking to front of property not wide enough for wheel chair access and none blue bage holders using bays, which staff didnt seemed intrested about . Drinks overpriced and tasted shocking .

All in all, it was okay - the staff were lovely and the room is what you'd expect for a Holiday Inn in Bolton. The parking was helpful, but tight.

The parking was a little tight for my Seat Leon - so bigger vehicles may struggle. I left my jacket in the room, then called back to see if house keeping had picked it up - only to be told nothing had been handed in. Which left a sour taste - otherwise this would be a good review.

Die Zimmer sind extrem warm und die Klimaanlage ist ausgeschaltet. Die Zimmer sind mit Ventilatoren ausgestattet. Es ist unerträglich warm und die Fenster lassen sich nur minimal kippen. Wir hatten eine Nacht ein Zimmer in dem man das Fenster gar nicht öffnen konnte. Haben dann für die nächsten Nacht ein anderes Zimmer bekommen. Aber da man die Fenster nicht richtig öffnen kann, kam leider keine frische Luft rein und es blieb heiß im Zimmer. Es war unzumutbar Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und bemüht, aber konnten letztendlich nicht die Klimaanlagen anstellen, welche das Problem hätte lösen können.

Gute Ausstattung, kann bei dem Preis aber auch erwartet werden.

Leider kein Klimaanlage. Keine Bürste im WC.

Not a fan of doors that open into other rooms. Interlocking door. As had bad experiences previously of noisy neighbours. Nearly went to ask if I could change room but gambled on staying and thankfully no one was next door.

A bit hot ....... but it was a heatwave !

The staff were fantastic. 2 fans in.the room, being placed on.the coolest side of the hotel, no problem getting ice for my bottled water and even the offer of a cordial to add to my bottle. If I'm ever back in Bolton I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Really lovely stay- staff so friendly and helpful. Every reception member and bar staff we came across were so polite and welcoming. Room was decent size and very clean, perfect for a one night getaway seeing family. Rooms were a little warm, but we were out of the hotel. Had a nice drink when we returned and the bed was super comfy. Would recommend again based on the staff and bed/shower.

I wanted to leave a special mention for Jayne in the hotel restaurant, who was absolutely fantastic during our visit. She was warm, welcoming, attentive, and made us feel genuinely looked after from the moment we arrived. Jayne has a lovely manner with guests, professional, kind, and nothing felt like too much trouble. She really added to the overall experience and is a credit to the hotel. It suited our needs, near our venue for the next day, clean room, bathroom, and dining. Could have offered water for the rooms,as going through a heatwave and no air con. I liked the idea of the fan in the room. The breakfast area could have been done with fans, too! Overall, we enjoyed the stay!

Arrived 19.10 given key card. Arrived in room which was hot! Fan provided and notice stating air conditioning broken (see review 2024) went down for dinner at allocated time 8pm. Had to find own water, glasses, condiments and cutlery ! Food awful 😖 soup cold, bread hard, pasta cold and inedible, chicken warm however, potato slices hot, veg cold, gravy warm and Yorkshire pudding stone cold ! Did mention to staff member who replied 'what do you want me to do ' dessert 2 slices of hard sponge cake slices and tiny chocolate donuts no larger than a 50p hard and that was all that was left. Did complain however there was nothing duty manager could do as we were part of a coach party. So looks like you have no rights in these circumstances.

Room was a twin, very small Bedding clean but curtains covered in stains and not secure on rail due to missing hooks therefore sun light in the room!

Came to stay for two nights. Room very clean and comfortable. Staff particularly helpful and friendly. Especially Alpesh who went out of his way to help. Able to charge our EV in their carpark!
