The staff were very friendly & helpful. The location was very convenient for the V&A wharf, restaurants & shopping. Access by car was good and parking was also reasonable. The breakfast was very good.

Some of the decor was a bit dated, though the room was very nice.

The staff help at the reception and concierge always helpful and loved the decor and the room

Waiters at the breakfast were slow and a lot of then very rude.

The reception staff/Administration were the worst I have encounter in my world travels, the women especially the one who called herself the manager, rude abusive could not care attitude and refused to help, i will not use this hotel again laughing as they got a taxi for me to the airport which was in the agreement when i booked that the hotel would organize pick up and return, not uber but an expensive car, at the airport they wanted 650 rands which i refused to pay On top of this they shoved a note under my door with a letter printed in bold letter that I have to pay the outstand bill of 100 rand for laundry Immediately just having paid for the full stay on checking in of 13000 Rands this was reported to a guy but i heard no feedback

Posizione ottima, a 2 minuti a piedi dalla zona del Waterfront, ricca di ristoranti e negozi. Molto comodo il parcheggio sotto la struttura (condiviso con altri hotel e anche aperto al pubblico, ma comunque sorvegliato). Abbiamo apprezzato molto il fatto che la camera fosse pronta un po' prima dell'orario di check in; venendo da un volo notturno lungo, è stato piacevole avere la possibilità di rinfrescarsi e riposarsi prima di iniziare ad esplorare Cape Town.

Si potrebbero migliorare gli infissi per insonorizzare perfettamente le camere che affacciano sulla strada. Nient'altro da segnalare.

Rapporto qualità/prezzo eccellente. Ottima posizione, camera con vista Table Mountain, personale gentilissimo, colazione con vasta scelta e qualità. Molto comodo avere a disposizione il parcheggio dell’albergo. Servizio lavanderia perfetto e rapido.

Proximity with the waterfront

The noise in the bathroom specially at night. Was planned to have a good rest but my sleep was interrupted with the constant noise in the bathroom. Unfortunately, loss of money

The Location was good - that why we chose it -

but from the time of check in it was terrible - first came to room and it was not finished made up actually just started - then went down again - got to second room and maintenance was just about to start painting! then wrong keys - keys not coded - then the bathroom was very tacky for a 4 star - bath had purple splash marks on like someone dyed their hair.

L'emplacement est très bien, pas loin du waterfront et des restaurants.

Les baies vitrés des chambres ne sont pas hermétiques, cela laisse passer le vent. Nous sommes venu une fois en éte dans ce meme hotel et le probleme le meme et cette fois en hiver, cela n'a pas changé. C'est dommage, car c'est une merte d'energie et pas confortable pour les clients en.plein hiver..

Superb in every way. Perfect location. The hotel vibe is warm and inviting. Rooms are clean. The beds hit the perfect comfort level. The breakfast is excellent. And let's not forget probably the most important part - their team. They were friendly and though we didn't have any demanding requests I'm confident they'd succeed at any.

There is nothing not to like. In fact I'd use this space to rather write about another thing we liked. Staying here afforded us the opportunity to walk safely between our accommodation and the surrounding attractions at the V&A Waterfront late at night - something which can't be taken for granted in Cape Town City. The other hotels in the area charge a HUGE premium just to be on the next block (closer to the waterfront). I don't want to jinx it for future stays, but in this regard I think the value we received with The Commodore is way better.

The gym was great with most equipment that is needed. Location just fantastic - walking distance to V&A and DHL stadium. Huge breakfast spread. Thank you for the extra milk in the evening.

The coffee machine in the room is great, but the cups are too big and dont fit. No Gym mats or yoga mats in the gym.

There was an off of a steak dinner to include a glass of red sauvignon. My wife ordered it and asked if she could have white sauvignon instead. The waitress said she'd have to ask the kitchen manager and came back and said no! We had also booked in for a breakfast but due to an early morning safari we changed the day. When we went for breakfast we were told that we needed to pay for it. I explained that I had already paid. The lady said to have breakfast and she'd sort it out. When we came out I asked if it was sorted and she said she'd checked and it needed to be paid for. I finally sorted it out at reception, but found it absolutely embarrassing! It was quite an expensive hotel and didn't expect to be treated in this way.

The room we booked and paid for was not what we were given. They could not accommodate so they did slow is to cancel and leave with a refund.

I loved the location of the hotel; it was walking distance to the V&A Waterfront. The breakfast buffet had fabulous options. The staff was GREAT! They brought a birthday gift to my husband since it was his birthday! The housekeeping manager came to check to be sure our room was cleaned to our satisfaction and ensure the room had been serviced for the day.

The first night the hostess at the restaurant turned away at least 2 dozen guests for dinner, including us. We were tired from traveling and chose to order at the bar area and eat there. It was disappointing we didn't get seated in the restaurant area since it was empty at prime dinner time.

The laundry service was excellent but very expensive.

This hotel is located few minutes away from WF mall. Everything is so much perfect. Bathtub is big enough and good water pressure. Breakfast is delicious. How we expect that can eat oysters from morning! Staff is also very friendly and kind. There is private tour desk, price is not cheap but they do good time keeping and good arrangement.

The location was excellent, offering convenient access to nearby attractions and amenities. It was perfectly situated, making it easy to explore the area. The staff contributed greatly to the positive experience; they were consistently friendly, approachable, and carried themselves with professionalism. Their welcoming attitude and attentive service created a warm and comfortable atmosphere throughout the stay.

The room and bathroom were poorly cleaned. Hair was visible on the carpet, bed, and in the bathroom, making the space feel unhygienic. Dust covered the desk and pedestals, and the carpet appeared not to have been vacuumed. Overall, the cleanliness was unsatisfactory.

The location. The staff were very friendly and greeted us everytime they saw us. Rooms were very comfortable as was the bed. Bathrooms excellent with plenty of hot water.

As this is an older hotel that is gorgeous, the air conditioning was very noisy in the rooms. Luckily I could sleep with the noise. I understand that trying to change the old fashion air conditioners would change the beauty of the Commodore. Be aware if you are a light sleeper. As the temperatures were at least 38 degrees I needed to be cool.

Fantastic location - a short walk from the V&A Waterfront. Clean and well established/known. Well maintained and comfortable rooms - even though it's an older hotel.

No complaints. The rate was very expensive, but understandable given supply/demand during Mining Indaba week in Cape Town and the location.

The room and bed, despite being a queen bed and deemed as a queen luxury room was very small with little space to comfortably accommodate my family. We had to request the sofa bed which was in fact not a sofa bed but a single "boardinghouse / prison bed" lookalike. Overall I was very happy that was spending only one knight and not my whole holiday there.
