DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Nottingham - Gateway

Very comfortable

Nicely located

They have a black mold problem. Toilet didn’t flush without coercion, handle holding, jiggling, pouring of water into the bowl from the ice bucket

Everything

Absolutely nothing

Nice to see the geese and heron on the pond

Toilet too tight for space

Nice lobby, free car park. Staff was friendly. Always got what i asked for.

The bathroom in the room. It meant to be bigger room, but we got disabled room. So bathroom was for disabled which wasn’t to conviniet for us.

Clean and comfortable. Good parking. Good location.

Nothing but we only had a one night stay, we didn’t have breakfast.

Calm and relaxed environment, beautiful decor, nice accessible bathroom in the King suite. Queen room was a decent size also.

Very clean overall. However, there were two fairly large mould spots around the bathtub in the Queen room. I didn’t expect this considering the price I paid.

Beautiful location. Friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for me. Love the complimentary goose feed and warm chocolate chip cookies on arrival. Lovely small touches that go a long way to make the stay special. It’s a fantastic, hotel for a short stay and if absolutely stay again. Nice bathrooms, lovely shower, everything was clean. Comfortable bed.

Nothing to complain about out. Had everything I needed.

Bedroom..dining room . Friendly staff

Bar prices

Reliable service - helpful and friendly staff. Decent food.

Bathroom door too close to wash basin.

Professional staff - nothing was a problem

Nice and clean, we got a refurbished room. Breakfast staff was very friendly.

Staff didn’t know which beer was actually English, as my husband wanted to try a real English beer. Breakfast was plenty full but bacon and sausage really dry, even though we ate at 6:45.

Nothing

I have stayed here a few times now and it is an extremely good, clean hotel. The staff are very helpful. The meals are second to none. The rooms are a good size and modern.

The only thing is it is a little out of the way With nothing around the hotel.

Location and comfort

Great place, lovely staff, they gave us some amazing chocolate chips cookies. Rooms were good. It has enough parking. It has a gym.

It was raining, and we had to park far away from the main entrance, and there is no other entrance, so we had to go all around the hotel, with luggage in the rain.

Very clean, beautiful surroundings really nice staff very friendly

All good couldn't fault it

Very comfortable, nice relaxing location with air con. It's very clean and the staff are very welcoming. All of the tooms we have stayed in have been relatively decent sized with good facilities. Except the mini fridge,

I've stayed here a few times now, only thing I haven't liked is the mini fridge it doesn't ever get cold in any of the rooms we have stayed in.

Convenient location. Comfortable bed and bedding

Toilet door didn’t lock

Just superb. Excellent staff beautiful place

There is a nice vide to the hotel, The room we stayed in was a good size with plenty of space to lounge. The shower was clean and powerful. and the breakfast had plentiful options.

Good location, tranquil, just an all round good place

Bed was a bit hard but ok. Not really a negative. Ash on reception wasn’t very helpful about something we needed help with but all the other staff we encountered were great.

Our room and bed were excellent, as was the walk-in shower we requested. excellent choice of food for breakfast.

Check in was quick and easy Perfect for our dog Easy to text reception

That the corridor was loud early with staff, knocked on door early (8:40am) and asked them to come back later which they did not. They didn't do room service and staying in a small place with a dog in the city we did need it freshed up and fresh towels.

Good staff in all areas of the hotel.

Room decor. Very dark brown.

It’s an almost perfectly calibrated sanctuary. The attention to detail is careful and even kind. We let them know that we were bringing our little cat and we were amazed to find a litter tray and bag of litter waiting for us in the room. Impeccable service

The unimaginative menu and the acoustics in the foyer. The rooms, however, are quiet.

Location

Bed/pillows had a slight damp smell

The breakfast was ok.The hotel is centrally located with easy access to local facilities in Nottingham.

No local support within the hotel,if you need the luggage trolley.

Everything

All staff amazing

Location, amenities & rooms all great

There were a few stray hairs in my shower

Very good selection of hot and cold buffet including gluten free. Staff very helpful.

Nothing that I didn’t like.

Amazing hotel, clean and lots of details carefully thought through such as gorgeous cookies on arrival, robes slippers etc Breakfast was amazing with so much choice.

I have my parents living in Nottingham and I’m from Leeds and when I do visit them the Doubletree Hilton is like my second home is convenient clean and this right for what I need brilliant staff clean breakfast is amazing even the children enjoy it highly recommend it

The location and the welcoming staff and the lobby is amazing relaxing

I hate the staff but I love the food when made correctly

We enjoyed our stay. It will be good to have more varieties for breakfast for those that does not eat pork.

Everything is good.

Micheal on reception is an asset to the hotel.

Well set out and easy to locate. It is nice that it is set amongst the trees and some water as you wouldn’t know how close to main road. Very quiet.

Clean, quiet. Good attention to detail.

No halal breakfast options

Spacious and clean rooms with excellent facilities - courteous and friendly staff who were polite and helpful - only had one issue with a leaky kettle but once mentioned it was replaced immediately - excellent service and would definitely have no hesitation in returning

Nothing - all excellent

Really friendly staff on late arrival (and a fresh warm cookie). Parking on site really helped arriving late after a festival! Spacious room with a very large bed which was so comfy. Ultra clean and loved the bathroom set up, large demisting mirror and lovely toiletries. Amazing breakfast and coffee for £10pp ordering pre-arrival. Genuinely one of the best chain hotels we've stayed in!

Nothing to say 😁 apart from there could be an extra mirror above the table in the bedroom!

A warm welcome and a great room. We had been upgraded.

Clean, welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.

We were upgraded to a spacious, air conditioned room. Spotlessly clean and very inviting. The breakfast was one of the best we have had. Huge choice well presented.

Nothing. We were worried about the noise from the busy road close by, but inside, you couldn't hear a thing.

Very clean. Aircon was fab. Check in was easy, we paid cash and were told £50 notes werent accepted. This should be made clear. The girl on reception was so helpful though. Cookie was a nice touch, but one between two lol. Breakfast was honestly the best we have seen. Smoothies and fresh pancakes plus everything else you would expect. Room was quiet. Staff in breakfast room were so nice and friendly. An asset to the hotel. Roadworks outside meant we missed the entrance, but soon sorted.

everything was fabulous

Location and air con rooms, parking.

Bar was expensive.

Nice and peace location

Convenient and beautiful surrounding

The staff were amazing couldn’t do enough for you gorgeous decor through out air con a added bonus breakfast amazing

Clean, comfortable, very large rooms. The mattress and pillows were simply perfect, the air conditioning very easy to work.

Really clean. Fantastic staff. Best breakfast selection. Aircon marvellous. Free parking, large car park.

Room was comfortable and breakfast had lots of choices.

It was a bit dusty by my sons sofa bed.

Everything! Especially the small details eg. Provision of a self serve free ice cream station on a hot day! Ample of parking, air conditioning that works and not noisy at all, breakfast with good quality foods and drinks ( there is a self made pancake machine!), clean room especially the shower area, and most importantly friendly helpful staffs.

Nothing

Good location, free parking and attentive staff

Room felt a bit dark, would prefer better lighting. Sink and tap also not ideal, small sink and tap was too powerful.

Great facilities and a restful stay.

comfortable bed and clean rooms

staff was welcoming and kept the room clean

Brilliant hotel, food really good

Great room, clean, nice shower room, good bed, lovely TV, air-conditioning. Just how it should be

North cocktails at the bar and sadly the breakfast let down the all the rest

The room was very good. The air conditioning was great during the heatwave. The breakfasts were excellent. Parking was very easy.

I had only one issue. I didn't enjoy one of the evening meals in the restaurant - crispy chicken was ridiculously sweet.

The bathroom door made the most amount of noise Everytime opened which woke me up each time. People up and down the corridor all night very loud. The bathroom light was hanging out , dent and torn wallpaper . The staff were unhelpful and just seemed they didn’t want to be there

The check-in was great. Room lovely.

Clean & tidy

Pillows

Room unmade

How quick staff rectified issues

We had to call for items that were missing from the room. Found food down the side of the sofa bed. The room was very hot and air con not very effective

Clean, spacious and air conditioning

Friendly and nice room

It was a shame kitchen was closed when we got there and having to pay to have room service delivered was disappointing

All Good

A one night stay. The room and bathroom were clean and pleasant. Ate in the bar, £29.75 for a pizza and a glass of wine. £14.50 for a continental breakfast. Watch out at the moment (early July 2026) there are roadworks on the roundabout at the entrance, and a small sign, among all the road closed signs, saying Access to Hilton Hotel.

No

It was OK really

Beautiful hotel and very nice rooms

The staff very helpful the room was very nice and very clean very good service and good breakfast great parking easy to go around and see around Nottingham

In our 4 weeks touring the UK this was on of the most pleasant stops we had. The room, recently updated, was well planned, well equipped and air conditioned. Comfortable king bed. The bar/lounge area was simple and served a variety of good food and drinks. The buffet breakfast was the best we had seen on our travels. Variety and fresh. All the staff we met were engaging and professional. And for what we paid was good value .

The air conditioning was excellent.

I thought the restaurant meals in the evening could have been better.

Level entry & lifts to second floor

We were a little early & staff asked us to pay & extra 10pounds for early access to room or wait 30mins for free access. If the room was ready don’t know why we couldn’t have just accessed room. Also we have a Hilton number but where told we can’t have the points because we booking through booking.com. This needs to be looked at & rectified for us & all future customers. Hilton & Booking.com need to figure this out. Very poor in my opinion.

Room was comfortable and we were upgraded to Queen superior which was great. The breakfast had plenty of options and the setting with the little pond outside was nice for our daughter particularly with the goslings haven't just been born.

Price was a shade higher than we'd ideally have paid but the facilities, room and location were all good so ultimately didn't feel too expensive.
