Leonardo Hotel London Croydon

Sehr freundliches und hilfreiches Personal an Rezeption und im Restaurant. Das Hotel ist in wenigen Minuten von der Station East Croydon zu Fuss erreichbar. Man ist auch schnell in London. In 1 bis 2 Minuten Entfernung befindet sich ein Supermarkt (Co-op), was sehr praktisch ist.

Ich hätte Lotion und einen Waschlappen im Zimmer erwartet. Das Essen im Restaurant war mittelmässig und eine Enttäuschung.

The staff was lovely. We booked in a hurry after being scammed for a stay at a nearby apartment and the lady that greeted us was so reassuring. The room was clean and spacious, with all amenities. The location is very close to the train station which is a plus.

Didn’t like the fact that the sink drain wasn’t working properly. Difficult having to wash my mouth, had to use my bathtub.

the shower sometimes sprays out onto the shower curtain and soaks the bathroom floor. not really an issue for me but something worth noting!

Der Umgang beim Check in Bezahlt wurde per Kreditkarte und booking Die Dame an der Rezeption war sehr unfreundlich und wurde lauter. Ich zeigte ihr dann meine Abbuchung im Online banking. Vorzeigen reichte wohl nicht. Handy über die Theke geben hat es dann geregelt. Abends saß ich an der Bar. Die Dame dort war sehr nett. Allerdings kam die Frau vom Check in wollte Zahnstocher holen. Dabei schubste sie mich fast vom Stuhl. Statt einer Entschuldigung gab es ein plumpes: ja ist für einen Gast. Es gab noch einen Herrn. Ebenfalls bekannt vom Check in, der sich nicht den Gästen widmete sondern nur Problemen. Er wirkte ziemlich arrogant und fahrig. Frühstück typisch britisch. Fettig und eher wenig frisch. Aber das weiß man ja vorher. Ventilator im Bad lief 24/7. Ich habe die Badezimmertür geschlossen Hat mich nicht gestört. Aber evtl die Nachbarn.

Great location, opposite the whitgift centre ( although a lot of shops have closed down ). 5 minutes to east Croydon station. Comfortable room , great breakfast

The hotel is in a convenient place next to all the transport options you need. The front entrance was welcoming where you were met with a pleasant smell when walking in and the reception staff were friendly with a smile. The superior room we had (1113) was an upgrade to what we had booked for a small charge, it was clean and tidy on entering. The bed was comfortable and we got a good nights sleep. We booked breakfast, it was plentiful with a traditional English breakfast and continental options available. Housekeeping was done on a daily basis. The area outside the hotel felt safe and we had no problems during our stay. Within a few minutes walk was a Co-Op and Sainsbury Local if you needed anything. Overall a very pleasant stay.

No fridge in my room. For those of us from Africa, a table top to preserve perishable and left overs is a must.

The staff on reception were very friendly and the hotel was exceptionally clean. My room was also clean and tidy. There was plenty of tea and coffee in my room. The bed was very comfortable and WiFi and television worked properly.

J’ai apprécié la localisation de l hôtel à 8 mn près de la gare de East Croydon, la proximité avec un centre commercial et des restaurant et cafe dans un rayon de 5 mn. La chambre etait propre et spacieuse. Le personnel etait sympathique.

Il manquait un éfrigérateur , la mise en route automatique de la climatisation. La présence de une baignoire avec un pommeau de douche fixe . Ce n'est pas pratique.

Lovely executive room on top floor - spacious room, comfy bed, AC, and some complimentary snacks/drinks. Very nice surprise to have vouchers for free drinks/coffee in the bar. Gentleman on front desk particularly helpful.

Some fresh milk in the fridge would have been great - can't stand those little plastic milk pots. It doesn't make sense to have two prices for breakfast - £14 via front desk and £17 walk up. £17 for breakfast is definitely overpriced.

Carpeting in the rooms need refreshing

Great location. Just few minutes walk to the East Croydon train station. Easy access everywhere. Funny things is no paper/small note pad n pen in the room when I need to find a pen to take note of something. Even when I the front desk reception, they do not have a spare pen. It's a bit strange other than perfect of almost everything in this hotel.

The overall look in the lobby was lovely. The smell in the lobby was nice. The Scottish barman was lovely.

The reception staff, one lady in particular was extremely rude to us on arrival and we observed her being rude to other guests. Not what you need after a 5 hour drive! It needs to be made more clear about needing photo ID.

Das Personal war von der ersten Minute an freundlich und hilfsbereit. Direkt im Eingangsbereich hat man sich wohl gefühlt: Es war klimatisiert, äußerst modern, es roch gut und die Ambiente schrie „Erholung!“ Mit drei Fahrstühlen hat mein sein Zimmer schnell gefunden und dank moderner Türkarten war das Auf- und Zuschließen der Zimmer super leicht. Das Zimmer selbst war hell, hatte ein separates Bad mit Wanne und Dusche und ein Fenster mit direktem Blick auf die Straße (kleines Highlight für uns: freier Blick auf vorbeifliegende Flugzeuge). Und am besten fanden wir wohl die integrierte Klimaanlage, die uns nachts bei knapp 30°C wirklich gerettet hat! Zusätzlich haben wir in dem Bett geschlafen wie auf Wolken und es war sehr hilfreich, dass die Rezeption 24 Stunden am Tag per Telefon zu erreichen war.

Zwei der Aufzüge haben etwas geklappert. Zudem ging bei uns die Badezimmertür nicht richtig zu - nur mit viel Gewalt.

Bed was comfortable and beddings clean. The room service was good and staff accommodating when we asked for steak to be cooked longer.

The carpets were dirty with stains everywhere. No fridge and a/c kept switching off throughout the night, with the heatwave, that was unbearable. Not enough towels.

Extreme noise day and night from heavy roadwork in front of hotel, all days! Should have been reported! Bathroom is out-of-date.

Overall, my stay was good. It’s not a high-end hotel, but you get what you pay for, it was good value for your money.

One thing that really needs improvement is the showers. They are not very Black-woman friendly. For those of us with natural or protective hairstyles, getting our hair wet is not always an option. Unfortunately, there were no complimentary shower caps available either, which would have been a simple and thoughtful solution.

Overall, the stay was fine, but the key card issue was really frustrating. When trying to get into my room, the key card often didn’t work—sometimes even four times in a single day. Whether it was the card or the door system, it caused unnecessary stress and waiting. The staff did try to help, and I appreciated their efforts, but it was still disappointing for something so basic. I hope this ongoing issue is resolved as soon as possible, as this is a location I need to visit regularly for work

The staff are outstanding. The hotel is always immaculate.

The only issue is the extensive roadworks that are going on outside the building and throughout the night. It was very loud but this is no reflection of the hotel as it’s outside control.

Love staying here..I have been back so many times over the years it gets better and better..the Manager is the best!..Room 1211 is my goto..best mattress ever...my name should be on the door haha!...I used to live in L9ndon but now live in the US..the hotel is very convenient for me..my children and family live close by.also being close to East Croydon stn is a bonus. The receptionist are the best..the bar and restaurant staff very helpful...thankyou for being the best Hotel this side of Croydon...I will be back in August..my granddaughter gets married..

Llegué al hotel, con reserva previa, a las 13:30 Pregunté si había habitación disponible. Me dijeron que sí, pero que la hora de entrada eran las 15:00 y sí quería entrar antes debía abonar 40 libras esterlinas. Después de haber estado en centenares de hoteles, es la primera vez que me encuentro en una situación así. Me parece, simplemente, inaceptable: entiendo que se cobre un late check out, porque obliga a reorganizar la limpieza de las salidas, pero eso otro es, para mí, inaudito.
