- hotel byl čistý, snídaně byla každý den stejná a celkem strohá klasická english breakfast ale aspoň něco za tu cenu - je celkem blízko nádraží (pokud po cestě na hotel nenarazíte na pochybnou skupinu lidí - určitě nechodíte sami a za tmy nebo sami ženy!!)

- lokalita otřesná ale pokud si i přes to vyberetu tuto lokalitu (zajimavý lidi…) tak tento hotel se dá

The manager told me to park in the car park nearby that shuts at 10 and quarter to, which I did. He said “hurry it shuts at 10” i got in alright but could not get out! Lifts were off, info button on parking machine was off and all doors were locked. I had 2 children with me. When I drove out through the entrance and went to the hotel he looked like he’d seen a ghost. He was very strange and didn’t say sorry. Then he walked off. Turns out it was because they didn’t have any more “codes” to get the validated parking they promise. Also there were dog hairs all over the sink unit even though I requested a pet free room.

Our reception was exceptionally welcoming and our rooms were made available long before the official check in time which was very welcom after a night spent in Gatwick airport. Room was excellent and breakfast was really good.

The cost was a bit more than I'd have expected it to be.

Nous étions trop fatigué pour sortir manger le soir nous avons commandé et payé des Mac and cheese pour mes filles. Au moment de servir les autres plats (j’avais pris des nouilles, bonnes, mais servis comme de la bouillie pour chien :-/)on nous annoncent qu’il n’y a pas de Mac and Cheese. Alessandra n nous propose en échange des Mac and Cheese bites. Nous disons ok. Le serveur revient. Il n’y a pas de Mac and Cheese bites non plus (personne ne pouvait lui dire avant?!)il propose des tacos avec 3 sauces servies à part(cheese/tomato/guacamole). Il est tard on dit oui. Le plat arrive: des tacos froides et collées les unes aux autres, 2 sauces dessus et aucune traces de guacamole car il n’y en a plus🤦🏻‍♀️la cuisine devrait être fermée. Le quartier est plein de petit snack, il aurait été plus honnête de nous y envoyer. Le personnel très aimable a a proposé une boisson à mes filles comme dédommagement, mais résultats elles n’ont pu manger que du pain à l’ail qu’ils ont trouve on ne sait pas comment et le tout pour 48£😳à éviter absolument. J’avais lu les review sur le petit dej. Oui il est copieux, mais fromage de basse qualité, confiture idem industrielles, bien le café en chambre et le sucre de bonne qualité, mais pas assez de place de rangement armoire, bref sincèrement pour le prix je prendrai un autre petit hôtel plus de qualité. Et non je ne reviendrai pas. C’était propre mais c’est tout.

The hotel was clean and well maintained, and the overall breakfast was good. The main bed was comfortable, and the staff were generally welcoming. We had high expectations for Holiday Inn, and the cleanliness and breakfast were definitely positive aspects of our stay

Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing. We were charged an early check-in fee despite arriving only 40 minutes before the standard check-in time. As a vegetarian, I was told by the receptionist that I could request an omelette at breakfast, but the breakfast staff later refused this. The hash browns were also soggy and kept in a closed buffet. The room was quite small for two adults and two children. The main bed was okay, but the sofa bed was uncomfortable.

I liked the location as it was near the centre of Croydon so we had access to shops and restaurants. The staff at breakfast specifically Raluca and Adela were also very friendly.

Parking: Hotel parking is £15/day, but we were told that if you leave, your space can be given to another guest. So despite paying for the day, there is no guarantee of a space when you return. We therefore used Q-Park instead, also £15/day with the hotel discount, but with the flexibility to come and go. £100 pre-authorisation: We were only informed at check-in about a mandatory £100 pre-authorisation, which wasn’t disclosed during booking.

3 pm is rather very late for check-in. Some of us travel overnight. Surely exceptions can be made

The staff team are amazing. So helpful nothing is to much at all. I find this in all IHG. The rooms were comfortable and cozy. I can not fault the hotel at all.

The parking. Thats my only negative about this hotel. There is centrale parking within walking distance but as a disabled driver I found it quiet difficult.

I'm usually happy with Holiday Inn Express and I'm not one to complain but this is the second time they have let us down. This time our room had a soaking wet carpet from the second morning of us being there, it appears that water from the shower room was escaping from the shower/toilet room although the floor inside was was totally dry. We reported it to reception who told us to place our towels on the bedroom floor to mop up the wet as there were no maintenance staff available over the weekend which we did for 2 days. I suggested at reception that they might consider changing our room but they didn't make the offer or even any compensation for the inconvenience. Not being one to keep complaining, especially as we were out all day every day from 0930 to 2230, we stayed there. On the last morning when we checked out the staff made a "standard" apology and told us that maintenance had found a leaking pipe from the basin and glued it back on again but the carpet still had puddles on it. There was far more water on the carpet than we had run anytime in the basin. Bearing in mind that the same member of staff had previously told us that no maintenance staff were available at the weekend it seems strange that somebody had supposedly gone into our room on Sunday to sort the problem. It is concerning that they may have put other guests in the room after we left on Monday morning who would suffer the same problem. The only other problem we had was noise from some very loud Americans in the room opposite, even after arriving back at 1 am one morning they were talking very loud for almost an hour. I didn't report that as I didn't expect anybody would do anything about it. We stayed in that hotel last year without problem.

De kamers waren ruim, schoon en heerlijke bedden en handdoeken.

Wij vonden de ligging helemaal niet zo fantastisch. Het klopt dat het niet zo ver van het station ligt maar zo tegen de avond is het niet fijn om in deze buurt te lopen en voelden we soms zelfs wat onveilig. Dat is misschien persoonlijk maar toch. Het ligt net wat van de hoofdweg en googlemaps wilde ons zelfs het steegje insturen waarvan bekend is dat je dat beter niet kan doen. Dit maakte dat wij er in de avond niet echt op uit wilden en ook zeker niet te laat binnen wilden zijn. Beetje jammer. Hier kan het hotel natuurlijk niets aan doen. We hadden wel geprobeerd om ons over te laten boeken maar dat kon niet. Met het hotel zelf is echt niets mis mee. Kleine kanttekening, een koelkastje was leuk geweest en ook meer mogelijkheden om je handdoeken te drogen zodat je ze iid niet elke dag hoeft te verschonen.

I’ve been a guest here many occasions booked a double room and they gave me a twin room based subject to availabity I’m not happy about this I I have then back their keys and alerted them I got the wrong room on the chat they should’ve responded to me saying they didn’t have the room I requested and I wouldn’t gone elsewhere as it’s not fair coming and not getting what you’ve paid for I’m requesting a refund as this is really sad.

Hotel agréable , propre , personnel sympatique, petits déjeuners buffets variés et copieux, pour la situation le quartier pas terrible à 15 minutes à pieds de la gare east croydon , nombreux commerces et restaurants , marché , supérettes au alentour , compter 25 minutes pour arriver sur la ligne de métro victoria line pour visiter londres

J'ai aimé le petit-déjeuner, la propreté de la chambre et l'accueil à l'hôtel.

Je n'ai pas apprécié l'emplacement de l'hôtel: le quartier n'est ni sécurisant et ni rassurant le soir; certaines personnes n'ont pas l'air net. C'est vrai qu'il y a la gare non loin mais les rues sont sales. A éviter lorsqu'on est en voiture car l'hôtel ne dispose que de très peu de places de parking (5 places). La solution est d'aller se garer plus loin et il faut payer.

La atencion de todo el personal especialmente Mimi, muy atenta con nosotros y las niñas. El desayuno muy bien!!

Todo el personal fue muy atento y agradable pero hasta el último día no coincidimos con un chico que hablaba español, cosa q echamos bastante en falta. Muchas facilidades para disponer de los utensilios y zona del desayuno para calentar las comidas y poder comer en la habitación. Estaba todo muy limpio

En la habitación no hay armarios ni cajones, solo un espacio con una barra y 4 perchas para 4 personas. No había sillas y una mesa muy pequeña

Estaba limpio, todo el personal muy agradable, tanto los de recepción, los del desayuno y la limpieza. Te facilitan la estancia pudiendo utilizar el microondas que se encuentra en la zona del desayuno

No había armarios, ni cajones. No había ninguna silla en la habitación y nadie de recepción nos podía hablar ni entender claramente en español, solo unos chicos muy amables de la limpieza nos pudieron ayudar.

The breakfast was very delicious and the staff were very nice. The rooms are neat too and the location is perfect. It is a great location for tourists because you can have access to the train station, tram and buses to all parts of London.

I like everything however, we were given a room on the first floor and my partner was complaining the room was a bit stuffy

Have stayed here a few times, staff are always friendly and welcoming, the breakfast selection is good and varied. This time I was put into an adjoining room that were quite noisy, I went and asked to move rooms and was accommodated very quickly and without any concern, so I was very pleased with the service!

Location

Chose this hotel as an alternative to staying in central London. It was a 10 minute walk to East Croydon railway station, or 2 minutes to a tram stop. Could be in central London within 30 minutes and to Gatwick in 20 minutes. Modern, quality establishment in a quiet area, good sized room with a sofa and table, and a good buffet breakfast. Restaurants, pubs and shops close by.

Cost of train travel was higher being in an outer zone for London Transport. Breakfast could be very crowded and the elevators were too small and slow, with it being quicker to walk the stairs.
