It was clean and well kept, the staff where lovely
I have strong allergies and was allergic to whatever they use to clean, so I was struggling to breathe during my stay
We were unable to stay at this hotel it was really smelling of moth balls so strong my eyes were watering .the carpet had holes at each side of the bed and were sticky to walk on .the door was to big for the door frame so didn't close .the toilet seat was broken . We went to reception to give key back within half an hour of being there Not coming from the area and being bank holiday we were driving around to find another place with vacancies .we were told no refund as we booked through booking .com
Nothing
It’s actually a halfway house for the local down and outs it really shouldn’t be sold as a hotel it is far from that! It brings crack den vibes
Good value for price and had what we needed for a comfortable stay. Extra bed requested was provided at no cost.
Private, clean and cozy.
Nothing
The guy who checked us in was great
The woman who was on in the morning and was apparently a manager was awful I got up in the morning covered in bites so must be rife with bedbugs
Good value for money Like that you get you key then drive to your door
for what i paid for the room was acceptable however the continental breakfast was not really a proper continental breakfast
location
Nothing. It feels very unsafe and isn’t fit for purpose.
After checking in, we walked down to our room which was at the end of the row of rooms. Half way down the row, was a bunch of topless men blasting music out, the passing conversation I heard was one gloating about doing 7 years in prison. From this point on, there was constant noise coming from one room that sounded like it had 3 men in, constant shouting, swearing, laughing extremely loudly that lasted until 2am. This was constant. We didn’t report them as we didn’t even feel safe enough to go out of the room to the desk, and didn’t want to be targeted by them for reporting. We heard them be spoken to by either a guest or staff (sounded more like guest) and it didn’t help. They eventually wound down at 2am. The rooms from the outside have a view of lorry’s flying down the motorway, inside is accompanied by the noise of them. The insides of the rooms are quite frankly disgusting and they should be paying people to sleep in them, not the other way round. Before staying here, we had requested to cancel the room. Our stay was booked for Saturday night. We were told that the manager wasn’t available to cancel it and would only be able to do so on Monday - which is completely bizarre considering the stay is 2 days before this date. The female member of staff that I phoned about this was also extremely rude. Normally we have been to places like this and seen bad reviews, turned up and it’s not been as bad as the reviews. This time, it was the opposite. The place is worse than even the worse reviews. There are also very obviously fake reviews left over the previous weeks from made up names stating “exceptional 5”. Tripadvisor has a much more realistic rating for the hotel, but still generous IMO. Save your money and pay the extra to stay up the road. Nobody should ever pay money to stay somewhere and feel as unsafe as we did.
Friendly receptionist. The unlimited breakfast was exceptional the next day.
The pool could off had a swim up bar but thats just me being very picky.
excellent value for money and in a quiet area.
nothing to mention
Not updated for long time
Close to eating places
Very dated and needs updating
The shower
Nothing
It’s convenient, clean and warm.
Nothing.
Nothing
I didn't like a thing dirty ceiling broken bed should be double mattress but put 2 single one shower broken no room service
Clean and staff were lovely.
Just dated and old but to be expected.
Clean
Cheap and clean
It was great for location.
They sent text on the morning we were supposed to arrive saying restaurant and kitchen was getting refurbished! So only continental breakfast available. One of the beds was creaking when slept.
Easy to find, check in was quick once someone appeared. Room was clean, WiFi was good.
Room was cold and duvet was flimsy so quite cold during the night.
Absolutely disgusting place please believe me I walked 2 room couldn't ever sleep in a place like that😭 I complained to the lady on desk she tryed to change the room to the best 1 they had wow just wow. I had to leave n order another one please be aware of this place it's really not good n won't give me my money back either 4 a place I didn't stay at. I don't no how they could even let ppl stay there even the lady on desk said she was sorry n couldn't sleep there either what does that say to you
Nothing
The staff were all so lovely and friendly and there was everything you needed. The room was cosy and warm when we went in and there was no noise from traffic or anything
Shame the restaurant wasn't open but the bar was.
Staff friendly
Beds extremely uncomfortable need upgrading also pillows need replacing.
Nothing was good
Room was cold and dirty, there was no heating on when I arrived, no hot water, so I could not take bath or shower, breakfast was so so
Location good, EV charging points, tea/coffee,
Received email the morning going to hotel to say kitchen closed due to refurbishment, cold breakfast only, mattresses were to soft, draught from front door, tv only had radio channels, plug sockets difficult to access, this hotel can be a great little place but really needs alot of improving, bathroom will be better as a wet room,
Basic room, but clean and warm. Perfect for what I needed.
Lovely staff which made it for me especially the lady on reception who is very helpful. The restaurant is being refurbished currently so not the best facilities as I write but it was comfortable and affordable so I recommend it for a short stay.
It’s always clean, warm and comfortable
quiet location with good transport links
matress a bit tired could feel springs, bathroom has mould on ceiling above shower
I loved the set up and the layout - it felt like a home away from home. Staff friendly and approachable.
Parking
Really uncomfortable bed but what do you expect for £50
The bed wasn’t too bad
The location of the property was awful, just surrounded by warehouses, the bath still had hair in when we got there, the water pressure was shocking and the tv didn’t even work and could hardly see it, cannot believe I was charged £50 a night to stay there
The pillows were very hard and zero percent comfort
The hotel was in the prefect location for me as working in the unit next door. It is close to shops and pubs which are 5 minutes in the car or 15 minutes walking. There was a bath in the room as well as a shower. The towels were changed daily and the also the complimentary drinks.
When you turned on the taps they only operated the shower not to have a bath. Could do with a table either side of the bed as if you slept on the right hand side there was no where to put your phone.
No breakfast
Very basic
Nothing
I want to speak to the manager my name is Haroon Masud And my booking was on the 18th to 19th of this month. I stayed and I have received bed bugs all over my back. The gp said it has spread rapidly. Also there was no iron and the room was freezing.
Ideal location and managed to get my EV charged. Pull out bed was available without a special request. Could pull the car right up to the room, so great for carrying our stuff
Basic facilities but good for the money. Rooms open to the outdoors but it warmed up fairly quickly
I was pleasantly surprised about the quality and standard of the accommodation for the price I paid.
No full breakfast was informed at last minute kitchen was closed to late to book some where else. Room's was cold even with the heating on. It was very noisy all day and night..the bathroom fan was going day& night Continental breakfast was stale and not edible.
Fantastic breakfast and brilliant staff
Rooms looking tired.
Treated very poorly by the man behind the bar I was asked to pay £100 up front when checking in even though I’d booked and paid through booking.com I searched for any email or message asking for £100 upfront when checking in. but the emails mentioned nothing of it. Very unprofessional and lazy behaviour from one of your workers. The room and bathroom was unclean and dated. Just be careful booking at this place.
It was a basic room. Nothing special. Adequate for one night
We looked for a budget hotel and this is beyond budget. Arrived, got told there was a £100 deposit which IS NOT detailed when you book (even Travelodge don’t), no directions to room which found us circling the block, room was very basic and one bed un-sleepable (twin room). As long as you’re happy with VERY basic then this is ideal.
The breakfast was a bit too basic, two slices of bread wrapped in cling film isn't very appetizing.
Just a slightly better standard of breakfast.
Peaceful
Tiny tv
It is what it is, basic but alright. For the price you can’t beat it
Nothing
Getting a parking ticket parked on what I thought was their parking
We just needed somewhere to stay close to Sheffield. The place is very basic but perfect for our needs.
We booked 2 rooms at the same time but the rooms were rather spread out from each other.
The biscuits
The bed was the rock. and looks like it was made from scrap wood from the Victorian age!! And was uneven. Can feel every spring!! Now back is sore and walking like I have spinabithata Very small and dingy Sticky floors, cobwebs everywhere where, TV pointing to the ceiling, wonky pictures, radiator stupidly hot . Only one curtain that don't even cover the window. And smelly. Poor location on an industrial estate Last time I saw something like this was on a horror movie Zero stars out of ten your better getting a tent
What a wonderful little find. Huge bed, double room. Spotlessly clean. Staff very friendly, polite and courteous. From reception to house keepers. A slight problem when leaving the room. The upstairs room guests seemed to not use their bathroom safely, resulting in a water ingress in our room. Staff notified and promptly and safely dealt with this. A great easy access from motorway network. Very quiet at night. Would definitely say cheap and cheerful and it will only improve further when all alterations are complete. Don't discount this place. Ample free carpark, vehicles to be registered at reception. Free WiFi in all areas, and hood strength. Wall mounted flat screen tv. Good coffee and tea selection and biscuits too. Really satisfied with our greatly priced room.
Great stay
good value for money
Emma on reception was very friendly efficient and had lots of advice on local area.
Mattress was very lumpy and could do with replacing, and a good spray with mould and mildew remover on the bathroom ceiling, also a paint over with stain remover
Good size room Very comfortable bed Ideal for what i needed Convenient location for my needs
It’s always clean and comfortable with yea and coffee facilities and biscuits
Like everything about it
Quiet area
No fridge
Cheap hotel. Does the job for a late night stay. You get what you pay for
