The location and views, the lovely breakfast, very friendly staff (manager seemed to be on hand constantly day and night but always attentive) and room had everything we needed!
We had lovely room with a balcony overlooking the Thames. A very helpful staff. Excellent self serve breakfast with plenty of choices
Size of our first Evening Meal
Great location next to the river. Large clean rooms
A bit noisy with furniture being moved around early in the morning
Good size room, staff friendly and helpful food very good and value for money
Weekend bar prices a bit expensive
Nice room, breakfast
No of doors and access to room.
The staff was excellent and very helpful. The room was clean, the bath was perfect, the bed was soo comfy!! The ac worked perfectly The view!!! Wow!!!
We had stayed the week before in the extension building, which was lovely. This time was in the main building. The staff were lovely and helpful. Beautiful views over the Thames.
The stairs in the main building, and finding the room. No light above the mirror or a main light, so found it difficult styling my hair.
Really good value for money. We stayed in the external block with a balcony overlooking the car park. The room was a good size and comfortable. Staff were friendly.
The shower water escaped out the door and under the carpet. A bit more thought or design redo may prevent this going forward.
Great views of the river
Nothing it was great value for money
Lovely setting nice breakfast comfortable bed
Great location on the Thames riverside. Fair breakfast, staff helpful. Hotel food ok but a little ordinary. A really nice option for eating out is at Boulters Lock 10min. walk. You can walk parts of the Thames path locally.
Did NOT appreciate the fact you pay for parking at this Hotel :( We like to leave the car and use local transport, It's a 20min. walk to the rail Station should it be required. The ground floor room we had, the patio door was not very secure.
Excellent choice at breakfast and great value for money (we paid separately). My single room was surprisingly small compared with my son's single room! The location is superb and within walking distance of some great walks and historic structures.
Some of the general areas need a bit of TLC on the paintwork etc and the car park signage could be better.
Fab location Great friendly helpful staff
Location and the excellent staff - we were even given bread after breakfast to feed the swans ducks and geese. Slept very well .
Extract in bathroom didn’t work
Excellent value for money, room very comfortable lovely view of river from balcony and couldn’t fault the staff. Meal in evening very good well cooked / presented and plentiful
Thought the cooked breakfast was a bit lacking
Lovely location on the side of the Thames and a short drive to Elizabeth Line and M4. Friendly, welcoming staff.
I was in the relatively modern block rather than the original main building. My room, 410, was a bit stuffy, particularly the bathroom which had no extractor. I had a balcony of sorts but it wasn't really usable as it had no furniture and faced north with a view of the car park and the road beyond.
A lovely small hotel setting on banks of the river at Taplow.

Easy access and attractive riverside location.
Everything staff position of hotel on the thames food beds all
All good
Location next to the river was good.
Upon arrival I was confronted with being told parking was now £10 per night, which was not expected as I had stayed there less than a year before for 3 nights and not had to pay parking. When I highlighted this, I was told I was wrong. i reiterated that I had stayed the August bank holiday last year and not paid parking and was told it had been in place for well over a year. It clearly had not. Eventually I was given a slight discount, however I think that the fact you are paying over the odds in the first instance for the room, charging for parking is despicable and disgusting. Now lets talk the room, top floor, no lifts, not a huge issue but the room itself... well! Firstly one bedside lamp not working and gerry-rigged to the wall. Sash window, broken and had to be jammed open with a coat hanger. No safety at all either for a second story window fully opening. I was later told I was supposed to use the broken sash rope to hook it open in some way. Bathroom, filthy cleaning rags left for me - thank you, great first impression, then the bath after my shower would not drain and I had to lever out the disgusting plug to drain the water - delightful. Bathroom fan also did not work and I was told I should have turned it on as a previous visitor probably turned it off. Finally, barely any tea and coffee, half what there would normally be! I used to love staying at this hotel. Very unlikely I will ever stay there again and I certainly do not recommend it given how rude and dismissive the staff are.
Location ok
Cleanness was bad didn’t expect it to be like that the staff was not professional
The location of this hotel is great and ample parking available The size of our room was generous.
The place looked a bit tired and run down. There are the two separate buildings in this hotel (Which I wasn't aware of at the time of booking)The original white building and the building behind it. We stayed in the red brick building, which literally has motel feel about it I was hoping to get a room in the main building but it wasn't to be Also beware there are no lifts in any of the buildings, so if you are lugging heavy luggage you need to be prepared for the stairs.
We were in the main hotel. Everything was clean but very dated. The restaurant was good and the service excellent
Breakfast was okay but not much of a selection. No rolls, ham, cheese or pastries. Fresh fruit was okay but limited. The room was on the first floor with no lift. Difficult to carry the bags up the stairs
Allowed me to check in early, friendly staff. Nice big bed and clean rooms
Lights were a bit confusing
THAT THE HOTEL WAS NEXT TO THE RIVER
BREAKFAST FINISHED TO EARLY
Great location and friendly atmosphere
Lack of a lift
Great location right on the river and close to town. Ample on site parking.
Odd that there was a 24hr parking fee.
Everything - location, room, food and of course the staff.
Nothing
Near river
Slamming doors.
Location next to the river, beautiful setting. Close to walk into maidenhead, breakfast very nice
it was all great
The riverfront location with tables directly overlooking the river--perfect for that early evening drink. The staff were all friendly, helpful and attentive. The executive room(6) was large and comfortable with a side view of the river. Didn't use the restaurant but it advertised all the usual dishes and looked reasonably priced. Yes-I'd happily book again
Buffet breakfasts are rarely to my taste--Made to order are always better. The bathroom sink was very slow to drain away and although this was reported nothing was done by the time we left. £10.00 for overnight parking--Why? This is a hotel--it just niggles a bit!
Chambre avec une tache énorme sur la moquette une odeur de cigarette persistante
The location
We visited this hotel previously when it was newly renovated a few year back and thought we would stay here again as we were visiting family. Very disappointed this time round. No lifts or anything for accessibility for the elderly or people with heavy suitcases. Bathroom was mouldy and had wee on the toilet seat from the previous customers. Inside the shower cubicle there was hair from previous customers stuck on the wall. The shower head was low down and was not suitable for tall folks, my partner did infact bang his head on it a few times. The bed was far too soft and had no support in which caused us all to have back pains and my mother really struggled as she kept on getting leg cramps. We had to ask 3-4times for extra duvets just to layer it onto the bed for more support - we did not feel like they went above or beyond even when they knew our stay was uncomfortable.
The location was good by the river
The hotel was shabby, the staff were inattentive and the overall experience was poor

Breakfast was ok,I had better,The room was really nice overlooking the river with a balcony.
I would like to have seen table and chair in the balcony, and be able to have the possibility to smoke iin the balcony, although there is allocat3d smoke area in a section of the hotel in the ground floor
Everything
Nothing
Room was clean but very much what to expect at a Great Western hotel! Bog-standard average.
Having a lift!! Having a little milk/biscuit in the room. Having soap dispensers that worked.
Great location comfortable rooms friendly staff
Food offeting could ne better
They were large quiet rooms with comfortable beds in a convenient location.
Be aware parking is not free as inferred when booking (although we were given complimentary parking due to a room problem out of the property’s control)
Great staff
Shower did not drain very well
The riverside location with nice views. Within 15 minutes drive of Cliveden House.
Our room was at the top of several flights of stairs and doors to negotiate with our luggage. There is no lift for people with mobility issues. Traffic noise disrupted our sleep. Small portions at dinner.
The river location.
One of the rooms I saw smelled of "fags" and the window had a first floor roof outside. My replacement room was much nicer, so thanks for your understanding.
Food in the restaurant Great location on the river Lovely staff
Rooms a bit basic and tired
Good location
I found that they do not cater for children's meals. I had to order adult pizza to be halved and 2 sets of fries. No smaller portions available. Was not going to pay adult price of breakfast of £10 for kids to only have cereal.

No lift
Loved that it was in a beautiful location right by the river and within easy access of the event we were attending. The rooms were very clean and had Aircon. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again !
Nothing really - I did get a bit lost going g to my room because the property is an old Victorian building and had several staircases but I’m sure had I stayed there another day, I would have found my way around ! Lol
Location on the River and close enough to walk into town, breakfast was good, and staff were helpful
Slightly dated
Good location. Helpful staff
Breakfast was plentiful and hot. Lovely executive room with view of the river
Should of been told at check in that room wouldn't be cleaned unless we ask for it at check in. Only read that in the room so a bit late then. Only 2 tea bags and 4 milks very tight. Please put more coffee tea and milk in rooms
Well located on the bank of the Thames. Very friendly and helpful staff. Air con in our room which was great. Room was very quiet
A bit tired, could do with a lick of paint and modernising
The rooms needed updating the carpet was a mess
The rooms
Lovely room, beautiful view of the river.
Location by the river
It’s hasn’t been renovated for decades!
service at breakfast was excellent, all the staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast area was very relaxed and enjoyable over looking the river. the car park had plenty of room
don't have any bad points too say maybe next time i would ask for rooms over looking the river
Great location, decent sized room, staff lovely
The breakfast was pretty poor but that was the only thing I could really fault. In general, it could do with a bit of modernizing, it’s quite dated although building itself is lovely.
The location was convenient.
Limited availability at the bar
The property was situated right on the river so the location was great. We were lucky and had a nice day weatherwise. There was a garage close by where you could buy any items that you forgot to pack. Also I had a fantastic room with an excellent view of the river. There was also plenty of parking spaces available. It’s a reasonable charge.
I didn’t go shopping, but if you did want to go to the shops might have been a fair walk away from the hotel other than that everything was fine
Love the setting on the river, room was great with air-conditioning. Wonderful balcony, facing the river
All was good
Very good
Nets at the windows in your room people from the otherside could see straight into my room and i could see in theres UV
Nice comfy bed with air conditioning & a good full English breakfast overlooking the river.
Great location. The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. Offers good value
The rooms could have had more lights inside, instead of plug points which were too many
The location is really good, you can walk to numerous pubs and parks, staff friendly although only actually saw 2 staff members but it’s good value for money.
The breakfast was tasteless so not worth £10pp, parking is charged at £10 per night, the hotel in general could do with updating and decorating, our bathroom had cracked tiles and the shower/bath didn’t drain properly, also the room was a bit smelly from the drains, couldn’t open any windows either.
Views of Thames from rooms and verandah , friendliness of Paul staff member .Location
Breakfast choice, had to lay own table . Very greasy bacon Scrambled egg only , only mentioned last day by Paul fried or poached egg feel should be mentioned every morning .
Staff and location
Cobwebs in room. Room tatty. Bath panel in a state
Well presented polite staff and comfortable bed
How far room was a lot of stairs to reach room
The staff are very friendly and accommodating.Great location for visiting Windsor
Very central position
Not many staff.....no one on reception desk! No one checking us in for breakfast! No one there either when we checked out!
Very convenient if you want to visit Windsor or river trip friendly staff
Location was great. Manager Paul was brilliant and made our stay fun. Room was tidy and air cooling system was great. Breakfast was great value.
Everything was brilliant
Good location but not optimised
Not clean. Stuffy.
Mooie locatie. Echter wordt de locatie niet volledig benut. Door wat meer onderhoud kunnen ze er meer uithalen. Eten was goed!
Kamer was erg stoffig en ontbreekt mij enig (schoonmaak) onderhoud binnen een buiten. Gemiste kans om het maximale er uit te kunnen halen. Bed was mij te klein.
The location was great
Absolutely no storage space for luggage staying two nights so didn’t unpack - cases on the floor no space in bathroom to hang wet towels or shelf’s for toiletries - drainage in bathroom poor
Great location on the river and main A4 road. We had a room in the annex which was well equipped with the added bonus of air con. Food was good and the dining area opened up to the river which was stunning. Staff very attentive and efficient. Good value for money.
Car park a bit small and an extra charge. Only basic tea and coffee in the room. Noise from other rooms a bit annoying.
We stayed for a night and had super views of the river. Paul was very friendly and went out of his way to help.
The hard working staff and the wonderful location
The room was lovely and a great price but the three flights of stairs to get to it was a surprise
Good location. Comfortable bed. Air conditioning.
Looked like it has had a refurbishment, but done half heartedly. No lift, and stairs quite narrow. Outside is tatty. Could be a fabulous hotel, due to its size and location.
All very good
The location is positioned overlooking the River Thames with activities of the rowing club and wildlife making there present. We arrived early and was met by the person on the reception by Paul. He was extremely friendly and polite. He allocated us with a delightful room (412) which was available after 3 o’clock. He attended us as we enjoyed lunch over looking this lovely view. The room was very well equipped with Air con ,and a balcony overlooking the River Thames.
As we only stayed for one night we found no negatives.
Great location next to River Thames
Roadside rooms need attention to windows to shut out noise as A4 seems to be in use 24/7. Pigeons in roof make a good alarm clock. Expensive restaurant but so are most places in this economy. I’m not a big fan of all you can eat breakfast for a set price as I feel it encourages over indulgence but I didn’t see much else on offer or should advertise alternatives. Noisy drunkards coming back from bar at two am. I’m all for having a good time but what I’m not for is not giving a toss about anyone else. Site unable to police whoever it was that was roaming around in the early hours slamming doors. I tried putting a pillow over my ears to deaden the noise but the pillows are rubbish… Oh yeah, there a ten pound a day parking charge which I didn’t find mentioned in the T&Cs
Opposite our dinner booking
Asked for Thames view - looked over carpark
Lovely staff, great views from our room and the restaurant. About 15 minute walk from the centre of Maidenhead
Breakfast was quite limited if I’m being picky!
Localização à margem do Tamisa.
Acesso labiríntico aos quartos.
the view
Lovely hotel by the Thames. The staff were all helpful and friendly, particularly AK
Parking. We didn't realise that it was not free to hotel guests. It wasn't a problem for us because we were able to park at a friend's house.
Staff were excellent
Nothing
Beautiful location and views which was really Helpful when attending human technicals course
Lots of stairs no issue for me but was tricky for some of our group when manouvering luggage
Everything was really good.
Stairs to top bedroom8
Great location on the river. Breakfast was good
Confusing room numbers and lack of lift
Great service , big thank you to Sunil
Position by the river
Narrow stairs to first floor
Location and staff
Having to pay for parking not necessary
Comfortable single bed, good location, lovely staff, good facilities, free parking. It was my second time staying and I enjoyed it just as much as I did the first time.
The single room is quite dated and is placed right at the back of the hotel which is confusing to find, as a single female traveller I'd have preferred to be in a more central room.
Location is very good
It is just like a motel sleep over and go the next day no entertainment in the evenings at night dark at outdoor sitting area when facing the river Thames
The staff were very friendly
The hotel is in a lovely location by the river but overall it could do with a massive makeover it looks neglected. Also if you're on the 2nd floor with luggage, be prepared there are no lifts!
Breakfast was great. Lovely to have a balcony.
