Great, friendly staff. Clean, spacious rooms, tasty breakfast. Easy parking quiet
Clean , well lit adequate parking
Friendly staff, good location, v clean and comfortable. Good breakfast.
the bar and open areas were nice
The bathroom in my room was stained and not very clean. There were silverfish on the floor too. It was a disabled room and i am not disabled. My room - especially the bathroom - felt like it was old and in need of an upgrade if I'm honest. Also the coffee machine wasn't working at breakfast, so no lattes or capuccinos were possible (or so I was told), there was no bread knife to cut the bread and the breakfast was substandard for the price tag.
Hotel was very well run and kept clean. Public rooms were of good quality. We had one evening meal in the bar. The food was excellent and value for money. Bedrooms were large comfortable and well serviced. Always plenty of car parking . Reception staff helpful and friendly.
The evening we ate in the bar it was quite full and lively. A group of women(probably a corporate group) were very loud and started shouting/laughing very loudly. This destroyed the atmosphere. It was so bad that prior to our food arriving we moved to the conservatory. The staff appeared to accept their behaviour as they made no challenge! We were sat at breakfast on our last morning. We had cups of hot drinks on the table and half consumed orange juice. Also there was 2 empty cereal bowls. We left the table for a few minutes to chose some hot food . When we returned our table had been completely cleared. This was disappointing. It did seem as the table staff were very anxious to clear down. However the Maitre D was very apologetic and directed a member of his staff to reinstate what had been removed.
The spa, the food , the room , the staff,
No complaints
Everything was as expected
The food in the restaurant was a little cold but this was replaced when I complained.
Excellent, great size room, very clean, breakfast really good
Location
Very comfortable bed. Friendly helpful staff in all areas.
Very bright blue light in bedroom ( temperature control). Could not find a way to turn it off overnight.
comfortable rooms excellent staff very good food
no sky tv / lounge area for TV
Pool, restaurant and room were all fantastic
All good.
Room and bathroom was lovely. Room was quiet and very comfortable.
Breakfast was not value for money. The quality of the food was fine, but not exceptional. The vegetarian sausages tasted old and overcooked. The price at £19 per head is extortionate in my view. I added breakfast to my bill when I checked in having only booked room only originally. There is actually a quirky, fun coffee shop/cafe down the road from the hotel which would have been better food and better value. And I would have got coffee - the hotel had only one coffee machine for a restaurant full of people wanting breakfast, the queue for the machine was so long - we didn't bother, hence finding the coffee place down the road. So in reality I paid £38 for 2 glasses of juice, 2 hash browns, 2 fried eggs, a spoon of beans, one slice of bacon, one sausage and half a vegetarian sausage because it was inedible. - Not good value.
Beautiful setting, very friendly staff, great pool area, nice little gym, nice bar and restaurant.
Queue for coffee machine at breakfast. Could do with anither machine really.
Karim on the front desk was very welcoming and a font of knowledge. Room was lovely. Loved proximity to Thames path allowing a short stroll into the centre.
Nothing but we didn’t use all facilities as it was a one night stay.
It was amazing the facilities the bar the restaurant and the scarf were absolutely amazing and helpful
Food was excellent Spacious rooms Good terrace and bar area
Checkin was slow 20 mins wait
it was very comfortable and clean, the staff were very helpful and friendly. There was a wide variety of food available at breakfast.
Staff amazing
Free upgrade
Greeted wonderfully by the reception team
Great rooms and facilities. Very nice communal areas like bar/ lounges
Breakfast was okay but not great.
Overall very good experience
Very good for families
Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was very spacious, clean and modern - and had all the facilities needed. Pool and spa was also great.
Excellent room very comfortable and clean Loved having a bath and shower Staff very good at check in All very efficient
Our cooked breakfasts although tasty were unfortunately very cold particularly the scrambled egg and bacon and the coffee machine didn’t seem to work too well and there were long queues to get a coffee If the plates alongside the buffet cooked breakfast area had been warmed this might have helped The yogurts and fruit and pastries etc were all very good Not sure I would have breakfast again if I stayed here which is a shame as the hotel is really nice
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Especially Marshall during breakfast
We came for a wedding and it was very hectic. The staff were very calm, understanding and helpful. They noticed when certain things needed urgency. I would like to especially mention Ragib who went above and beyond to help. From getting us help to move multiple items, to providing clarity and help in testing times when there was a lot to navigate. Much appreciated
Location was perfect for what we wanted
Nothing
Breakfast was good. Lots of choice.
No improvement I can see.
Friendly staff , very helpful and service was great
Superb staff, super clean, great breakfast choice! Over all excellent and we will be back.
Lovely hotel
Location
Great hotel with great staff.rooms very nice, very clean and well maintained. Lovely dining conservatory
Just back from a 2 night stay here and we all were super impressed with the service, courtesy and overall experience we had. The staff couldn’t do enough for us and went over and above to feed us when we arrived after the evening meal had finished being served. The rooms were clean and comfortable 10/10 for customer satisfaction!
Suitable for large groups
Bedrooms deco was very uninspiring- so much grey !
If you ever purchase the spa days . It is a disappointment. The jacuzzi is old and the steam needs refurbishment . The food is set and not a great choice . They said brush Asian but then set to vegetables for indian cuisine . It is a complete rip off . Go somewhere else !
Simply an excellent all round hotel.
Closer to town.
Lovely breakfast very pleasant dining room
Only one working coffee machine which was a little slow
Overall it was pretty good.
The coffee at breakfast! The rest was good
Weekend break. Had a wonderful stay hotel and food excellent. A big thank you to the reception staff they are so helpful stayed over Saturday end of may bank holiday weekend a special thank you to Mohan. He is an asset to your business
Lovely large room, spotlessly clean, friendly staff. The swimming pool is lovely and doorway opens out onto a patio, which overlooks the lake.

The breakfast was extraordinary each day. The people serving were polite and accommodated our wants.
As an elderly person, a bar to help us into the shower would have been useful.
Suited our requirements
Restaurant prices not good value. Especially the desserts.
Very clean with modern facilities.
The location is a bit outside, we need a cab to get there.
Fabulous in every respect
No criticisms whatsoever
The spa facilities were ok. Not special but decent.
The staff were a bit weird, the check in was very slow. The food was average and the place was not well staffed.
Great location and pool facilities
Bit of noise from adjacent rooms
Quarto grande, confortável, limpo, ótimo café da manhã. Recomendo.
Nice grounds & view, staff very pleasant & helpful. Breakfast plenty of choice. Bedrooms very comfortable , including the beds and exceptionally clean.
The conservatory tables & floor were not very clean and lights were not working . Not enough staff to look after this area would be nice to have service staff instead of having to keep going to the bar to be served . However, on our last day they did get the lights working & removed the furniture to clean the floor .
Excellent hotel; staff very friendly and helpful; room quiet and just right for an accessible person; food good; blissful air conditioning in this weather!
One small point- the coffee machine at breakfast- cramped area with people wanting juices getting mixed up with queue for machine as only one working and slowwww....
Stayed at the Crowne Plaza Marlow recently and found the visit to be generally okay, but with a few issues. Arrival was smooth, and check‑in was quick and friendly. The room felt quite tired and could really benefit from an update. Unfortunately, the air‑conditioning switched off overnight, which made the room uncomfortable by morning. The food was fine, exactly what you’d expect — nothing standout, but perfectly acceptable. Overall, an average stay with decent service, but the rooms and overnight comfort need attention.
Nice hotel. Good value
Food is too overpriced
Excellent hotel, all staff are amazing
Na Gym, pool and sauna
Overall value for money
Lovely - a pearl in the crown on which the River Thames flows
Great
Very comfortable room with air conditioning and enormous bed. Clean and relaxing. Nice that a gym and spa were available. Good food in the hotel bar.
Receptionist could have informed more about the food available in the bar, as it felt very much as if they were pushing us to eat in the more expensive restaurant. The 'verandah' close to the bar could be better furnished and more cosy.
Lovely hotel Staff very pleasant, housekeeping exceptional, food good value . Should be able to order one course for dinner and no lights in conservatory or garden by night. Disaster waiting to happen. All in all a very nice, good value hotel
Excellent breakfast. All you could possibly want! Good facilities. Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent location. Lovely ambiance in bar/restaurant.
Good selection, well presented.
Coffee machine was very slow and was causing queues.
Emily provided an amazing massage, it was very relaxing and therapeutic. Thank you so much!
Prabhakar and his colleagues on the front desk were exceptionally professional, friendly and helpful, the hotel and our room was very impressive. Thank you for making it a special stay for us. Would highly recommend.
We were attending a family birthday elsewhere and booked Crowne Plaza, Marlow, for the night. They were very busy in reception with one poor French man dealing with a queue of people checking in. When it was our turn he was very friendly, professional and informative. We had a large, very clean room but overlooking staff car park and bins! The bathroom was rather odd with a small child’s height wash basin and lavatory sear and lid that didn’t want to close. There were soap etc dispensers fixed to the wall but no shower cap, face cloths, cotton wool or any other helpful items. We had travelled lightly as we were only away for one night so it was rather annoying. The sound proofing is clearly inadequate as we were disturbed by other residents going along the corridor frequently. Breakfast was average at best. Only one (out of two) coffee machines was working and the queue was endless. The cooked items were clearly cooked well in advance so bacon and other items were hard and uninteresting. My orange juice and coffee were cleared from the table whilst I went to get some yoghurt despite my cardigan being on the chair and my husband’s coffee and orange juice were also on the table! The hotel itself is soulless and is positioned at the back of an industrial estate. Not what I call a 4 star hotel!
Lovely hotel, good location comfortable bedroom, excellent breakfast
French guy on reception was lovely.
Bit pricey
Nice staff and very convenient for what we were there for
We had a £300 Dinner bed and breakfast package August 1st - which we booked as it appeared good value for the area . The room was very nice , large , spotlessly clean and in a quiet part of the hotel, as requested . Shower was good, bed large and very comfortable . Rather oddly, there was no information in the room other than a Do Not Disturb 'hanger' for the door . Maybe this is just IHG hotels ..The gentleman ( I cannot recall his name ) who checked us in was friendly and helpful . Later It all got a bit impersonal though . The dining room was soulless , with no atmosphere at all .And I may be old -fashioned, but I don't feel a 'formal ' dining room is the place for shorts -wearing. It is airconditioned , so the heat was no excuse . Service was OK but not overly friendly and a bit amateur . My main course of fish was lovely .My husband's steak was 'not the best I've ever had ' . And dessert was postively odd .What was billed as a chocolate mousse 'enrobed' in chocolate had the texture of rather slimey blancmange. And the chocolate was rock hard. It wasn't inedible, but even so ..... Buffet beakfast was fine . Good choices . Except I don't expect to have to serve myself tea/ coffee and toast in a 4 star hotel. I would not give this hotel 4 stars .It's perfectly acceptable for a night's stay , but I was glad we weren't there longer/ on holiday . Nothing really objectionable , but It felt more like a money -making operation rather than hospitality. It was too hot to walk into town but I would think about 25 mins .
Spa facilities, good location
We booked a Dinner, Bed & Breakfast package for four adults, then amended it to three adults and one child, purely as the hotel recognised my 16-year-old son as a child. The price remained exactly the same as four adults. Our confirmation clearly showed Dinner, Bed & Breakfast, this was reaffirmed at check in. The stay itself was average at best: a tired pool area with peeling paint, children screaming, ‘bombing’ in the water, a totally quiet & empty restaurant with zero atmosphere, and average food. The real issue came at checkout; our bill was significantly higher than expected. After questioning it, I had multiple receipts thrust under my nose and left to try & work it out for myself. Eventually, I was told my son’s dinner was not included in the package despite the booking confirmation saying otherwise and nobody mentioning this at check-in or in the restaurant. Even though a booking for 4 adults or 3 adults and one child was the same price. This was delivered with smugness, arrogance and disdain. I explained that I did not authorise the sudden additional charge, I was met with a shrug and the words: “That’s OK, we don’t need your card to charge you. We already have the details.” Apparently, this was the duty manager. Is this even allowed? Rather than attempting to resolve the issue professionally, I was met with rudeness, contradictory explanations and dismissal. After raising a dispute with American Express & providing supporting evidence, the hotel agreed to a refund if I first closed the chargeback case. In good faith, I complied. Months of emails, repeated evidence, endless delays & excuses followed, the refund never materialised. The result? No refund, no compensation, not even a genuine apology. The only apology came after repeatedly pointing out that every email focused solely on the invisible refund of a charge that was made up and never authorised, as though they were doing me a favour, ignoring the appalling treatment at checkout. A masterclass in avoiding accountability, and one of the worst examples of customer service at all levels ever experienced. Bravo Crowne Plaza Marlow.
We had a fantastic stay at the Crowne Plaza Marlow while attending a friend's wedding and from start to finish our experience was excellent. The hotel is set in beautiful, well-kept grounds, which made for a lovely setting and created a really relaxing atmosphere. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, comfortable and well equipped. We had everything we needed for our stay and slept really well. What really made our visit stand out was the exceptional customer service. A special thank you to Prabhakar, who checked us in and looked after us throughout our stay. He was incredibly warm, welcoming, professional and genuinely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and he always greeted us with a smile. The staff we encountered were all friendly and the overall atmosphere throughout the hotel was relaxed and inviting. It was the perfect place to stay for the wedding and everything ran smoothly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to return if we're in the area again. Thank you to everyone at Crowne Plaza Marlow for making our visit such a positive and memorable one.
Rooms very modern and spacious. Staff very friendly Breakfast good selection
A little bit too far from town centre . Longer walk than expected. Ok during the day but not for an evening out .
Good rooms, silent aircon.
Pool needs renovating - very dated looking now.
Beautiful lake, restful rooms, tasteful decor, clean gym spa and pool. Good front of house service. EXCEPT what let the side down notably badly, was the overpriced and for a 4 star hotel chain, shockingly substandard dinner and breakfast. From the odd texture, the pre-cooked, then frozen then defrosted steak was as disgusting as it sounds and inedible. At breakfast, only one of the two coffee machines worked, and then only intermittently leading to 30 minute queues I'm not exaggerating. The other had been out of service for seven weeks. Not good enough.
Jeg vil gerne give topkarakter til dette sted. Gode store værelser, venligt personale, dejlig spaområde og god restaurant
Easy parking, helpful & friendly staff, great facilities and nice bar.
25 minute walk into Marlow
Relaxing , the grounds and the breakfast.
No staff in the Spa when you arrived to give you towels or direct you . Everyone was just going behind the counter and helping themselves.
Clean amd wi fi was good
Food wasn't that good. Staff are foreign so often couldn't understand what was being said. Room was very noisy due to location and use of room service trolleys.
Rooms were spacious and clean
Didn’t say prior to booking that under 3s weren’t allowed to use the pool - says ‘spa’ in small print - not pool - we booked this hotel for the pool
Excellent pool. Relaxing atmosphere.⁸⁹
We were greeted warmly by Prabhakaz. He made us feel welcome and even gave us an upgrade. We enjoyed our stay in a delightful quiet suite at the end of one of the blocks. We walked into Marlow which can be done via a path from the corner of the hotel carpark to the Thames, and then along the river path. There is much to do in the area so we hope to return to the hotel. Breakfast was also excellent.
We came here for my birthday and, to be honest, the hotel is just OK. The room was spacious enough but, if u want to take a bath, bring your shampoo as the one on the room are locked so you can't take the ones from the shower in the bath. We had a problem with the TV as the WiFi wasn't working but it was sorted eventually. Dinner was good and very tasty - I recommend the sword fish-and breakfast has a good selection.
Great choice of seating areas, plenty of choice of food.
No improvement required.
The staff are amazing - so happy and helpful! Loved sitting out having a drink looking on to the lake
no netflix app :(
Staff
Nothing
We enjoyed our stay here, the room was spacious and clean, air con was great, breakfast was 11/10, good selection if you eat healthy like us. Coffee was great, we liked the gym and pool. Staff very friendly and welcoming. We def recommend and will come back.
Guests slamming the doors.
Great check in, lovely large room powerful shower and separate bath option.
Lovely hotel. Friendly staff facilities great. Use of pool superb. Rooms hotel and grounds very clean. Breakfast superb and nothing being missed. Overall a great place to stay. Also free and lots of parking.
5th year in a row we’ve been going for a spa weekend for our anniversary. First time out of those 5 years, Dinesh kindly checked us in early & sent a good will gesture to our room for our anniversary. Thank you so much Dinesh, truly a lovely gesture which we did not expect!! Spa treatment was lovely. See you next year!!
Location,comfortable beds and facilities.
No toothbrushes. When we asked the receptionist we were told it’s coming tomorrow.
Clean, modern, comfortable and excellent amenities.
The room was clean, large and comfortable. The bar and restaurant were clean and the food was fantastic.
Very nice hotel with on site parking. Lovely friendly and helpful staff. Nice room and they let us check in early and have a later checkout which was great. Good breakfast choice. Only thing is maybe outside sun-beds need a bit of a refresh.
Location.
Checked in early by Falek after a hot heatwave journey. Wonderful air conditioned hotel plus room 102. Drop our bags in and had lunch and much needed drink. 3 night bed breakfast and dinner. Breakfast plentiful, with salmon, cold meats and cheeses to choose too. Fussy me could eat. Evening meal time, one night we had curry one chilli 🌶 oh no its not. It was so hot. Food again exceptional. To have a swimming pool in this hot weather was just a real plus. Sauna and steam room tad too hot although he did venture in! Prom season meet with many youngsters in and around the hotel. Only one night they blocked the whole bar, didn't cause an issue for us though. We definitely would come back if the need arose.
The room was spacious, and had air conditioning (very welcome in the heatwave). The bed was comfortable, and it was very peaceful and quiet at night. We had an excellent meal in the restaurant.
Check in was extremely slow, despite having paid in advance. There was quite a queue, and no obvious reason for the delay. I was unhappy at having to pay a £75 deposit on arrival.
Great hotel further out from centre tyan expected.
We recently had our wedding at Crowne Plaza Marlow, and it truly exceeded all of our expectations. From the moment we started planning to the day we checked out, everything was handled professionally and with genuine care. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, with beautiful surroundings and elegant function rooms that made the perfect setting for our special day. Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting how lovely everything looked, and the entire day ran seamlessly. What really made the experience exceptional was the staff. Every member of the team was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they genuinely cared about making our wedding unforgettable. A special thank you to Dinesh, who was absolutely fantastic. His support didn’t end when the wedding was over—his aftercare and willingness to help with any follow-up queries really stood out. It’s rare to find someone so dedicated to ensuring guests are looked after even after the event has finished, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything he did. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or a better team to celebrate one of the most important days of our lives. We would highly recommend Crowne Plaza Marlow to anyone looking for a beautiful wedding venue with outstanding service. Thank you for giving us memories we’ll cherish forever!
As the sister of the bride, I am incredibly upset and disappointed with the experience we had at Crowne Plaza Marlow. We chose this venue to host one of the most important days of our lives, but unfortunately, the entire process was marred by unprofessionalism, rudeness, and misleading information. Watching my sister’s special day be overshadowed by such poor service was truly upsetting for me as well. One of the most frustrating issues was how the hotel demanded a deposit for the room, despite us having already paid in full. Instead of simply refunding the money we had paid, they insisted on charging us again, forcing us to pay twice. When I tried to resolve this, the management was rude, aggressive, and dismissive, which only added to the stress of an already emotional day. Their behavior was not only disrespectful but also highly demanding and unhelpful. They provided false and misleading information, which left us feeling confused, frustrated, and upset. Their lack of professionalism was shocking and unacceptable from a venue of this supposed standard. The wedding day itself was far from the seamless event we had hoped for due to operational failures. Wedding favors that were included on the agreed function sheet were not displayed as planned, despite prior discussions. When we raised this the following morning, they said there was nothing they could do other than return the items — a dismissive and unsatisfactory response that made us feel ignored and disappointed. Additionally, the food served did not match what we had agreed upon. A dish from our menu was substituted without any prior warning, despite assurances that everything would be delivered as planned. Seeing these issues unfold and feeling the lack of support from the staff was painful and upsetting for us both. What affected me most was how the hotel handled our concerns afterward. When we formally made complaints, every issue was dismissed outright, often with false or misleading information. For example, they claimed to have received positive feedback from the Father of the Bride — which is completely false, as our father passed away many years ago. This kind of dishonesty made me question everything about their professionalism and integrity. The entire experience has left me feeling devastated and betrayed. It’s heartbreaking to see my sister’s special day marred by such poor treatment and unprofessional conduct. Instead of taking accountability or trying to make things right, the hotel rejected every concern we raised, which only added to our disappointment. We trusted Crowne Plaza Marlow with such an important occasion, spending a lot of money, and I deeply regret that decision. Their rude, misleading, and unprofessional service has had a lasting impact on us. Based on our experience, I would strongly advise other families and couples to look elsewhere for a venue that truly values professionalism and customer care.
We chose Crowne Plaza Marlow to host one of the most important days of our lives, but unfortunately our experience was deeply disappointing from start to finish. Whilst the venue itself has potential, the service and handling of issues fell far below the standard we expected for our wedding day. One of the most upsetting aspects of our experience was the way a serious matter was handled. Less than 24 hours after our wedding, hotel management attended our room the following day to discuss the issue. What should have been a happy and memorable occasion was overshadowed by an interaction that left us feeling uncomfortable and stressed. There were also several operational failures during the wedding itself. Wedding favours that were specifically included on the agreed function sheet were not displayed as arranged, despite being discussed beforehand. When we raised this the following morning, we were simply told there was nothing that could be done other than returning the items to us. We also found that food served did not match what had been agreed. A dish on our menu was substituted for a different item, despite assurances that everything had been delivered according to the agreed function sheet. To add to our frustration, when we formally raised our concerns afterwards, every issue was dismissed outright. The hotel's response contained factual inaccuracies, including a claim that positive feedback had been received from the Father of the Bride, despite the Bride's father having passed away many years ago. This raised serious concerns for us regarding the accuracy of the hotel's investigation into our complaint. The most disappointing part of this experience has been the complete lack of accountability. Rather than acknowledging any shortcomings or attempting to understand our concerns, the hotel's approach has been to reject every issue raised. We spent a significant amount of money trusting Crowne Plaza Marlow with our wedding day and regret that decision. Based on our experience, we would not recommend this venue to other couples looking for a stress-free and professionally managed wedding.
Room was plenty big enough. Air conditioning was a bonus as very hot weather. Lovely big comfy bed. Breakfast was plentiful, lots of choice.
