Well situated in the Jing-An district close to high end shopping and restaurants. Lovely furnishings incorporating traditional Chinese and modern elements. Great breakfast and service.

I shared a room with my son and the doors separating our room from the bathroom were not opaque.

Она всегда была на связи и помогала со всеми возникающими вопросами. Также я посещала спа и делала великолепный китайский массаж у мастера Деси. Она классная, мне всё очень понравилось. У нас остались прекрасные впечатления от отеля. В следующий приезд в Шанхай с удовольствием остановимся здесь снова.

There are stays you simply check out from, and then there are stays that leave a mark on your heart. Mine was the latter, thanks largely to one remarkable person. From the very beginning, everything went smoothly. Ms. Candy and the reception team handled my booking with ease. Chief Concierge Mike has been very helpful. Even a general staff is also a gem there. Mr. Ed Zhao at the Concierge. He did not just do his job; he watched over us like a guardian angel. On our first day, when we asked for directions to Kerry Shopping Mall, he did not simply point us the way. He also pointed out there was an underground passage, just so we would not get wet in the rain. Another day, as we waited for our car, he gently insisted we stay inside the cool lobby, saving us from the sweltering heat. He did not treat us like guests; he treated us like family. Every time we saw him, he was a reassuring figure—trustworthy, sincere, and always ready with honest advice. In a strange city, he made us feel safe.

I visit Shanghai several times a year, and I always stay at Puli. Its central location is just a minute from a subway station. Led by Mr. Cai, the concierge team is superb and always make me feel welcome when I return. This time I stayed at one of their newly renovated junior suites. On the way to my room, the floor display of artworks resembled a museum, and it continued with the room's moody lighting, hushed atmosphere, beautiful books and fancy bar. Everything appears custom-made, beautiful, modern and elegant. Kept very clean, the upgraded bathroom comes with a new TOTO Neorest toilet. The bed and its bedding were sleek and comfortable. My housekeeper, Ms. Wang, was warm, attentive and helpful. She made my stay there special. Puli is on a new level of hospitality with its warmth, beauty, comfort and Zen-like simplicity.

We spent a night at the PuLi Shanghai and the hospitality from the crew was beyond expectations. Especially, Camille Fabrie, the director of guest experience, and Hugo Yuan, staff, were fully supportive during all time of our stay. I would say their presence meant a lot and helped us to have a great time. Room conditions were very good, great facilities, and great staffs. Absolutely willing to visit again.

What a beautiful hotel. The decor has a traditional Chinese vibe but elegant at the same time. It was nicely done. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. I appreciate that they let me borrow a yoga mat during our stay, makes it super convenient to stretch before we get the day started. I love having a double sink! The hotel staff, front desk and door staff were all very polite and friendly. The staff also helped me ship a package domestically. The buffet was a good selection, they had a standard buffet plus a la carte items that were made to order. Get there early to beat the rush! The location is very conveniently located to metro lines, malls and attractions.

The PuLi in Shanghai was the perfect welcome to our first visit to China. The hotel is beautiful, comfortable and inviting. The staff is wonderful as well.

The Puli is a fantastic place to call home in Shanghai. The setting & decor are tranquil and sexy. The staff is very attentive and helpful. Mike the concierge, a Shanghai native, intimately knows the city and happily shares his favorite parks, crab roe noodle joints, and more. The hotel is perfect, the renovated rooms are very beautiful. The breakfast could be better and more diverse but it is still ok. The team is extremely helpful & nice, especially Camille!

The hotel is centrally located right next to Jing'an station, which is super convenient. The communal areas of The Puli are beautifully decorated and I especially loved the spa and pool areas. It's a very zen vibe, everything is clean and well looked after, and all the staff are very friendly and proactive. Sauna and steam room are gender segregated, which is a bit of a shame if you're travelling with a partner of the opposite sex. Just to note that there are sadly no cold plunges, only a hot jacuzzi. Really recommend getting a treatment at the spa, the massages were fantastic. The hotel room was very spacious with a complimentary minibar, which is a nice touch. Bed was huge and very comfortable.

There is not too much to complain about, except that the lighting (or lack thereof) in the bathroom is a woman's nightmare for putting on makeup. Way too warm, yellow, and hitting at horrible angles. And as mentioned above, a cold plunge after sauna would be fabulous.

We had a fantastic stay at the hotel, made even better by the incredibly helpful concierge team. They were friendly and always happy to assist, especially Mike. We had some issues with online ordering and WeChat pay app. He helped to resolve the online delivering issues with a phone call and was incredibly patient and showed us how to use the payment app. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He truly went above and beyond to help throughout our stay. Their attention to detail and hospitality really elevated our experience. Highly recommend for both the excellent service and welcoming atmosphere. Already planning my next trip and would happily stay here again .

This is my 3rd time staying at The Puli! The hotel rooms are clean and spacious, and the hotel atmosphere is so peaceful. The staff at The Puli are all so wonderful and extremely kind and helpful. The gym at The PuLi Hotel has a very elegant atmosphere. Allen introduced the equipment to us, and it was indeed comprehensive. Jennifer recommended the spa next door. The SPA was excellent, with soothing and relaxing techniques, and a serene, upscale environment. The overall experience was nice!

Wow, what an experience. I was in Shanghai for 10 days on business and staying at the Puli made the whole thing feel like a getaway. The spa staff was incredible and accommodating of my busy schedule (had a facial a massage). Delicious breakfast included with the room rate with lots of fresh fruit, Shanhainese dishes, and western options. Saturday night I had an amazing cocktail at the Long Bar - the bartender was top tier. Overall absolutely worth it especially if you need a respite from busy days.

The facilities were great

The rooms were not best value for money to my standards. The king size bed wasn’t the one expected for such hotel level and it was very low and the mattress just a standard one. The window electric curtain couldn’t open fully to watch the view out and you had to control the blind curtain carefully to get the full view and sunlight. The dust bin in the WC was way small, which I never seen so small ever before. Also no convenient space to hag the face towel anywhere around the mirror.

The Puli is my home in China. My only go to hotel in Shanghai. I feel very welcome. This is mainly thanks to the staff at the concierge. Especially Mike whom is outstanding and his service level exceed what I have ever experienced elsewhere . My only complaint on Puli is that the lobby restaurant charges 65 rmb for a soda. I do not mind paying well for food and wine, but not for a standard product as a coke. It is not right to ask this even for a 5 star hotel. As if your guests do not care about money. It is a small thing, but still get on my nerve. However Mike saves it.

This is home away from home in Shanghai. It is my "zen space" after a full day of meetings . The rooms are spacious and comfortable; there is every amenity you could possibly need. The property is quiet and welcoming .

I’ve just returned from a 10-day stay at the PuLi in Shanghai, and I have to say it was outstanding. I travel extensively and rarely take the time to write hotel reviews, but this place truly deserves recognition. It’s a complete oasis right in the middle of the city. Every member of staff was incredibly welcoming, consistently friendly and always willing to go above and beyond. A particular standout was Kevin from the concierge team. Without his help, I wouldn’t have achieved half of what I did during my stay. He’s easily one of the most attentive and dedicated concierges I’ve encountered in years. He was even available on WeChat whenever I needed assistance, regardless of whether he was on shift. An exceptional experience from start to finish.

The PuLi was a wonderful and tranquil base for our second short stay in Shanghai and the welcome experience was incredible. All of the staff were very attentive throughout the stay and were so quick to help with any queries we had. We were able to fit in a massage in the Spa which was truly out of this world! The Long Bar also makes a cracking Vesper Martini - and the rooms were very comfortable! The location is very convenient, close to Jing'an Temple with lots of shopping nearby, and walkable to Anfu/Wukang Road areas with lots of options for drinks, coffee and food, as well as boutique shopping. Highly recommended.

Puli Shanghai is like my family's home away from home. It speaks multitudes that much of the staff has been there throughout the last decade that my family has been staying here. I have been going to the Puli for 15 years. This time was particular for one point: I lost my passport dring my stay in Shanghai, and the Concierge team has been so supportive. It was an amazing hotel for business breakfast leisure concierge service was fantastic we were able to feel my local in Shanghai. Best restaurants, excellent shopping and nice bars. We didn’t waste any time.

We were extremely impressed with the service at The Puli. Mike, the manager, responded to my email swiftly, helped us shape our plans, and even arranged for someone to assist us with navigating the metro and finding a mahjong venue. Celine was also consistently charming and helpful. Quite simply, it was the best service I have ever received in an upmarket hotel — and I have stayed in many over the years.

My wife booked a birthday staycation at The Puli and it was excellent.Camille the Guest Experience Manger and Cici the receptionist were warm, attentive and genuinely thoughtful, They upgraded us to a room overlooking Jing’An Temple, which made the stay even more special.The hotel has a real sense of calm the moment you walk in, despite being in central Shanghai. We’ve stayed several times over the past six years and it remains our favourite city escape. I would highly recommend.

The PuLi exceeded expectations. As a family of 4 it was our first time in Shanghai and we took our time to choose our hotel. We were very glad we booked the PuLi over other luxury options. Firstly even before our arrival Mike the concierge was extremely helpful in helping us book restaurants, arrange transportation and excursions. Both he and William were extremely helpful throughout our stay and deserve mention. We booked the grand suite which comfortably accommodated us and ensured some privacy for all. The room perks were also great. Our check in was arranged in room by Sophie who also deserves mention for her attentiveness and care. The hotel is stylish and has a great atmosphere. We prefer a modern design hotel and this delivered. The location is great and much better than staying in pudong. We really loved everything about it and found it to be a great platform for exploring Shanghai. We would definitely return.
