Noisy neighbors, fire alarm went off, uncomminicative and slow overnight staff, unknowledgable staff.

We were there for a concert at msg. The location was perfect. Not too long of a walk. But far enough til the noise wasn't bad.

Check in was late and didn't seem to be a priority for staff until I asked after waiting over an hour to get our room. So we were rushed to get to our evening plans. The elevator broke on our stay so only one was available and caused us to stop almost every floor to get to the 26th floor. The rooms were incredibly small.

La ubicación es perfecta. La calidad/precio merece la pena, nosotros estuvimos 11 noches y para ver la ciudad e ir a descansar está bastante bien. Antes de ir vimos comentarios de que el ascensor tardaba mucho... y bajo nuestra experiencia nada que ver, salíamos temprano y volvíamos al mediodía, y luego salíamos a media tarde y volvíamos anocheciendo y nunca tuvimos que esperar demasiado por el ascensor. El personal que nos atendió fue muy amable y atento, y para un apuro de comidas tienen en la esquina de la calle un american food que tienen y preparan de todo!! Y hablan español 👌 así que para pasar el día fuera y volver a descansar está bastante bien!!.

Great view of the empire state from our room (we paid for a view) and lovely cookies on arrival! Not far from quite a few stations so we had some good train options.

We realised after two nights that our room door did not lock - meaning all our belongings were completely unsafe! When I flagged this there was no urgency to fix it until I bothered them multiple times. Really not acceptable and when I told them I wanted compensation for the inconvenience I was ignored. The double room was quite small and cramped but that’s New York for you! The elevator is pretty slow as people say and the lobby is very small - prepare to be underwhelmed! It’s a decent budget option but I wouldn’t stay here again.

The hotel was in a great location, close to Penn Station and MSG, which was exactly what I was looking for. The bed was good and comfortable.

The elevator takes a long time and stops at every floor, so getting in and out of the hotel took forever. The bathroom vent is also extremely loud and could be disruptive, especially at night. My room was also near the elevator and you could hear people talking right outside my door, they were loud.

This was a great hotel and a fantastic location and also affordable and very comfortable.

There was confusion about the breakfast which we had paid for in advance but when we asked where breakfast was, we were sent to an expensive off site restaurant to pay out of pocket. When the trip ended and I saw that I had been charged $120 for breakfast by the hotel that was never provided, they did not refund the money and I had to dispute the charge through my credit card company.

Convenient lower midtown location a few blocks from the Empire State Building, 6th ave fashion district and an easy walk to the Chelsea and hudson yards Highline. Parking garage on the same block.

The restaurant looks very tired, No coffee machine in but your room, but the staff is very helpful and quick to get you a morning cup of coffee.

Cramped. The hotel should consider that international tourists would like to stay in hotels with hand shower facilities in the rest room.

La localisation est dans un quartier central sans pour autant être buyant ou chargé comme Times Square. La chambre est confortable, suffisamment spacieuse pour 4 personnes et climatisée. Les enfants ont eu un vrai lit et non un clic clac. trés propre merci au personnel de nettoyage. Le personnel sauf cas exceptionnel était poli et avenant. L'hôtel nous a permis d'attendre l'heure de notre bus, en nous donnant accès aux commodités durant le soir et nous a gardé nos bagages la journée. La clim fonctionnait correctement.

Le check in était hyper froid, l'hôtesse ne nous a pas aidée à comprendre ce dont elle avait besoin et répétait ID... iD... L'anglais n'est pas toujours pratiqué à la perfection. La vue de la chambre était moyenne mais correcte. La mise en place de la douche était défaillante, sans gêne sauf le gaspillage d'eau

We liked that it was super close to everything we could walk to Madison Square Garden we could walk to Times Square. We basically could walk everywhere from this hotel. It was perfect.

The hotel while a bit small was decent,; unfortunately, I did not like the location. It was in a rundown neiborhood with homeless people adjacent from the property.

Great location, close to the subway. Free cookies are always a plus. Staff was always so nice, and the beds were actually very comfortable! Excellent climate control in the room. The parking is separately run, but there's one super close and they have a QR code for a discount on the parking. Free suuper cold yummy water in the lobby.

The elevator was suuuuper slow though, and there was almost always a crowd waiting for one of the two elevators to finally arrive. Housekeeping and other staff also had to wait to share the elevator. The shower curtain is curved, so water will always somehow get out.

Great location. Walking distance from Times Square and all of my other plans in NYC.

There was a long wait for the elevators during peek times/hours. But that is common for high rise hotels in big cities.

We loved the location and the staff was simply amazing. The location was perfect for walking to many must see NYC locations. The warm cookie was delicious. The staff was always super friendly and helpful,

I purchased a room with 2 QUEEN size beds; these beds were not queen they could barely be considered a full-size mattress. The room was tiny, which was fine really, we were not in it much, needless to say but we would not have been able to just hang in the room comfortably for 3 adults. A week of tossing and turning from a too small bed after trekking miles and miles around the city was miserable.

Staff are always friendly and attentive. Location close to Penn station but not too close to be in the everyday chaos. A few steps away from various and good tasting restaurants. A bit outdated, but clean rooms and a very well maintained restaurant and bar area. And the on-site concierge is very convenient.

The elevator situation. 2 elevators serving an almost 30 floor building of at least 4 rooms each makes it problematic at check-in and check-out times. So plan accordingly.

The placement of the property was nice and the staff was very polite and friendly.

The hotel was extremely small and so packed in. Felt like I couldn’t really move, it was very clean but just felt claustrophobic.

TV did not work. One elevator out of 2 did not work. Fridge did not work. Hotel website survey did not work lol! Location is fantastic and room was acceptable and clean. Staff seemed friendly. Lobby had overpowering perfume scent. Can only think it was to cover up something. Again, perfect location, but will stay at one of the other hotels in the neighborhood next time. 2/5 generously.

The hotel's strength is definitely its staff. Julio, Samantha, Roy, David, Ismael and Oswaldo provided outstanding customer service and made our stay very comfortable. All went the extra mile to make sure my brother and I had a great experience.

Even though the hotel's staff was outstanding, I have to mention that the hotel is in bad need of a facelift. The rooms, hallways and elevators were very clean but a little outdated. Also the free Wifi was very poor. Overall we had a very nice stay.

The hotel was very clean and had welcoming staff. Ismael was super sweet and even offered us extra cookies for the drive home. I had an amazing time during my stay. Thank you Ismael and Diego!

Good walking location

We arrived on our honeymoon after 12 hours of travel at 6.30pm at night and could not check in because of a system fault. Staff were unapologetic and didn’t care that it was impacting our plans. Did not manage to check in until 9pm at night. Then had no WiFi due to not registered us checking in. Upon check out we waited 20 minutes for an elevator for our 20kg cases then our transfer booked with the concierge took an hour and 40 minutes and nearly missed our flight after we were told it would be 45 minutes to an hour max. I will not stay at a Hilton again.

Very kind. Staff checked in twice a day to make sure they were accommodating me successfully and always answered questions via text in 10 minutes or less.

Great spot, great location, it is always a pleasure to stay in this hotel. I think this hotel is in the middle of everything so is located around everything.

The property was clean and well kept, and all of the staff were nice

No microwave, a very tiny fridge, and I mean tiny. Maybe 1.5 cubic feet. For reference 6 monster cans, a sprite, and 2 water bottles and it was full. The bed's were comfy but the pillows absolutely sucked. Way too soft they didn't keep their form and would just go flat or get very uncomfortable after a few minutes Not much room inside, but is decent enough if you don't care about having to use your bed as a table for things such as your suit case, clothes you're getting ready for the shower, pizza boxes cause they're too big for the desk almost, etc. For the price I would not stay her again, but it is a good place to stay a few days, just not for the price, but even if they lowered it, I wouldn't stay more than that anyway.

What a wonderful experience. I usually stay at a different Hilton property when I visit NYC but that property was not available. I have seen this hotel online several times and thought it might be a good alternative. I was right! The staff members are very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The hotel is well serviced and clean. The hotel is a very short walk to Amtrak Penn Station and is in the heart of the attractions. While the rooms are small, they are typical of NYC standards. My room was clean and the view of the Empire State Building at night was amazing. Special acknowledgment to Romaine at the front desk and to the breakfast staff for going beyond the extra mile.

About every two years, it seems I need a hotel in New York City, and this is my go-to property. This summer I needed one for my wife and I, and again, it didn't disappoint. Why do I like this property? There are multiple reasons. Pros: Its location is great. It's close to things, south of Times Square and a short walk if that is your thing, close to Port Authority and Penn Station for a transport hub, but in a fairly quiet area. It has a large outdoor seating area, which is really nice. The crew of professionals is awesome. There is a bar and bar food available at the hotel. There is food and bars nearby. The price is fair market value for the hotel and location. The property crew is very helpful. Cons: The elevators. Sometimes the wait is long, and sometimes it stops at every floor, or so it seems. Smaller rooms. A shout-out to Roy at the Front Desk, who is a great, friendly face and a professional who is a pleasure to work with. Samantha, I think it was Samantha that I chatted with online about the resevation and she was a quick and effective contact in answering some questions and concerns I had. Natasha, who is always incredibly helpful with any stay I have in NYC. You can find cheaper, for sure, but they have the whole package here.

A great, no-nonsense hotel located in the perfect location - Chelsea, Midtown, NoMad, Penn Station - all within striking distance. Super- helpful staff. In particular, Osbaldo had our back the whole time. I was traveling with my daughter and two huge suitcases - Osbaldo managed our bulky luggage perfectly, especially when we had to run to school tours after our checkout. He took them off of our hands as we ran out the door- and had them ready precisely when needed as we returned and rushed back out to catch a plane. Thank you Doubletree Chelsea and thank you Osbaldo!

Osbaldo from the front desk was really helpful in ensuring we are comfortable as we waited for our airport transfer. There were only 2 lifts and 1 was down during our stay so there was a long wait time for the lift. Overall a comfortable stay.

Thank you to your staff for making our stay amazing. Everyone was kind and friendly from front desk, to those I saw in the hallway, even those I spoke with one the phone, just incredibly warm and welcoming. I especially would like to thank Osbaldo. He greeted us everyday in the lobby, making us feel welcomed. I was traveling with my son, who was always excited to see him! Thank you again to every one for making our stay so wonderful.

No cookies offered at all. No fridge in the room. And they don’t have one to give us. There was no bath mat in the room, only one washcloth and two towels. We are Diamond members, but there is no special treatment for sure. I asked for bottles of water at the front desk and she wanted to know if I wanted the $3 ones or the ones from the store. It’s a very disappointing hotel. I would not return.

The place was great. But noticed soon several issues with the room. Light blocking shade was gone. Toilet running, TV needed to replaced and fridge was missing. Igor and Lobonny were OUTSTANDING!!!! These guys on the maintenance staff jumped everything. Very professional, hard working, polite and quick. Nowhere is perfect but what did erases and reluctance to again. Kudos to the staff. Great job!!!! This DoubleTree is lucky to have employees that care.

I want to give a huge shoutout to Osbaldo for his exceptional service during our stay at the Hilton at Chelsea. My son and I have been hitting the city hard this week, so coming back to a room where everything just works is key. While the rooms are on the smaller side compared to most Hiltons, they are spotlessly clean, and you simply cannot beat the location for getting to everything in Manhattan. When our original refrigerator broke down, Osbaldo handled it seamlessly and had a new one sent up to our room right away. Fast, professional, and genuinely helpful. He even followed up with us when we were coming back to see if we needed anything else, proving he goes above and beyond for the guests.

I have stayed here before. This hotel and the staff are absolutely exceptional. They are efficient, professional, kind and go the extra mile for their customers. The hotel is always clean and well maintained. They are experts in NY. The location is fantastic and central to Penn station and the village. The manager Mark and Roy are fantastic and should serve as role motels for other people in the hospitality industry. All NYC related…price is high, bathroom is tiny, some of the furniture is old and a bit shabby (sofas in the lobby).

I had a mixed experience at this property. The hotel is well located, the room itself--while not spacious--is clean and well kept up. The staff is friendly--especially the housekeeping staff. The front desk was generally receptive to my needs. However, there was one big negative. The hotel has an affiliated restaurant named Cheltons. The breakfast at Cheltons is overpriced and mediocre: the restaurant is of far lesser quality than is typical of a Hilton. I would not have eaten there at all were it not for the food and beverage credit that I receive as a Hilton gold. Even worse, the restaurant charged me five times for the same breakfast. I did not initially notice when I checked out because the front desk staff said: "You're all set." I would expect that when there are additional charges beyond the room, the desk would make that clear so that a guest could confirm. Not the case. I would further expect when there are unusual charges of the sort described above, there would be even more of an effort made to clear the charges with the guest. Not the case. I had to spend the time to review the bill. Imagine looking through all the detail and having to count up overcharges. I had to spend the time contesting the bill with staff who spent over 30 minutes trying to calculate a refund. I asked for an accounting for how such an egregious "mistake" could be made. I was assured that the assistant manager would contact me to offer an explanation. I received no call, no explanation. Though I liked the hotel, I doubt I'll be back. This is not the type of service I expect at a Hilton property.

Great location. walking distance to all train stations and to main tourist atractions. The room was clean and in a good size. Staff were very nice and helpful.

There were only two elevators, which meant waiting quite a while during peak hours. Also, when we first arrived, there was a cigarette smell coming into the bathroom through the vent. However, the staff immediately came to air out the room, and they even replaced the shower curtain and all the towels to help with the smell.
