Hyatt Place New York Chelsea

The only thing I liked was the proximity to time square which is why we chose that location. The room wasn't properly cleaned, the floor wasn't properly swept,we found human hair on the floor. Our stay was 1 night so we didn't make a big deal of it.

After my stay I was charged for a watching a movie on my bill which I didn't do. When I called to have it looked into, I spoke with someone who said they would investigate and get back to me and they never did. That changed how I feel about the whole experience.

Es un hotel con muchas habitaciones. La habitación era pequeña, pero muy cómoda y placentera. Nos tocó una habitación con una vista envidiable. El desayuno fue bueno y variado. El hotel te permite guardar las maletas sin costo lo que es un punto muy importante a considerar por las horas de check in y out. Lo recomendaria.

La ubicación quizas no es la mejor. Depende de tus planes en NY.

Heel kleine kamer met quasi geen opbergruimte en ook geen plaats om koffer te laten staan. 1 hangkast van misschien 50cm breed waar dan ook nog een strijkplank en strijkijzer in gepropt werden (dat we nergens elders kwijt konden). Ontbijt was verschrikkelijk slecht zowel van kwaliteitseis naar keuze (nog nooit zoiets tegen gekomen)en de ontbijtruimte heel ongezellig, onhygiënisch en te klein voor de capaciteit van het hotel. Gezellig ontbijten. Was er niet bij dus we hebben het er maar bij gelaten en zijn elders gaan ontbijten. Liften waren dikwijls overbezet waardoor het heel lang wachten was en naar beneden of boven lopen van de 30ste verdieping was echt geen optie. Staff was volledig overrompeld en vermoedelijk understaffed. Ben al naar veel hotels geweest maar dit was qua service en accommodatie echt wel een dieptepunt.

The AC turned on and off randomly during the night while making a very loud noise. It was a bit frustrating considering how we were woken up.

I love staying at this hotel when I am in NYC because it is close to the train station, Broadway, parks, good restaurants, etc. They also let me leave my luggage there before check in and/or after check out.

I loved how the hotel was close to the train station and site seeing places. Getting the train was easy as the station was right round the corner! The hotel was very clean and the view was exceptional with a stunning view of the Empire State Building and skyline :) I loved the friendly staff who were always happy to answer questions. I loved how the hotel had a shuttle bus transport near reception which was ideal when carrying heavy suitcases.

One thing I didn’t like was the elevator wait times. But wait times are 2mins max as there was 4 elevators to use which wasn’t bad.

Our room was very small. It is not big enough for more than two people. We got the room with a fold out couch to accommodate 3 people ( grandmother, mother, teen) and when sofa bed is out, it blocked entrance to door and bathroom. We had to put our luggage in shower to store for some space due to no floor space or closet. The barn door to bathroom left gaps, so there was privacy issues. Also, only public bathroom is down near fitness center ( cellar) not one in the lobby or bar area. Our skyline view room ( which we booked) was not ready at check-in, so we had to take the city view room.

The staff was friendly and the view from the room was amazing. Also, the bed was comfy. The location is great, close to everything and you can leave your luggage at the front desk if your room isn’t ready. If you are not planning on spending a lot of time in your room and would like to explore the city, would highly recommend. The hotel is clean and not loud, so great for a rest after a long day. Also, the elevators worked just fine and I didn’t end up waiting long for it, as some people suggested.

I was a solo traveler so I didn’t mind it at all, but for a couple the rooms may be a bit on the smaller side and the bathroom is also not big. The breakfast ending time is a bit early and it more of a american style, not so many healthy options.

Es lohnt sich unbedingt, das Zimmer mit Aussicht zu buchen. Der Ausblick ist sensationell. Die Lage des Hotels ist gut, es liegt gut zu den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln.

Das Frühstück hat eher Jugendherbergsniveau, aber es ist inclusive und in NY ist auch prima, eine Mahlzeit nicht auswärts essen zu müssen: ;)

My only complaint is that the elevators are slower than molasses and many times we would just take the stairs after waiting 5-10 minutes with no elevator. We were only on the 12th floor and are young and abled body, but take it into consideration to ask for a room on a lower floor if this would be a problem for you

I stayed from Aug31 - Aug5 and because I miss calculated the time difference between Australia and America by 12 hrs and had to book one extra stay the hotel was not lenient and charged me $800 for the night.

The room was very small especially for the price, the staff were robotic and uninvolved, and the room bathroom shower curtain fell short which allowed for a lot of water on the floor which could have lead to a slip hazard.

The room was cute and had a great view of the empire state building.

The elevator took a long time. And, the main thing was there was human poop at the exterior of the building for 2 days.

Śniadanie było smaczne, duży wybór, na bieżąco uzupełniane potrawy, zawsze było miejsce na stołówce, lecz w godzinach szczytowych był tłok. Mieliśmy pokój na 40 piętrze ze wspaniałym widokiem na Empire State Building - idealny punkt widokowy. Możliwość otwarcia okna w minimalnym stopniu. Łóżka wygodne. Pokój codziennie sprzątany, ręczniki w bardzo dobrym stanie, uzupełniano kosmetyki i mydło. Internet szybki i działał na obszarze całego hotelu. Możliwość zamówienia taxi na lotnisko bezpośrednio w hotelu w przystępnej cenie.

Zdarzało się, że na windy trzeba czekać czasem nawet 15 minut. Klimatyzacja dosyć głośna, lecz wydajna. Byliśmy w 4-osoobowym pokoju w trójkę i nie było szans na umieszczenie żadnych ubrań w szafie.

Nuestra habitación para cuatro. Carecía de espacio. No había donde poner maletas ni ropa. Lo justo para dos camas de 135. El aire acondicionado tan ruidoso que impedía su uso mientras se estaba en la habitación.

The property had amazing views of the skyline and very quiet in our room. Could barely hear any outside sirens or noise. Empire State Building was right outside my window so I fell asleep to the glistening of the building! It was amazing

Around breakfast between the hours of 8-10 good luck getting in or on the elevator. We were on the 28th floor and every single morning we had to walk down 28 flights of stairs as we waited for more than 30 minutes or more each time just to try to get on the elevator which never happened so for 4 days we got in our steps that’s for sure. Will not be staying here again…other than views nothing special about this hotel. Had an old lady about 70 plus that had to go down the stairs as well since the elevator wouldn’t pick us up. I made it downstairs finally told an employee to see if maybe they could get some sort of help for her and he brushed us off and said well it’s peak hours nothing I can do and walked away, unless you’re checking in good luck with the staff being friendly. They seem way to pre occupied checking people in to help the already there customers. Very disappointed because this hotels views are amazing.

The location is very good, Chelsea is a good neighborhood. Property is simple, normal, nothing special. Breakfast was also simple but they had everything you need, no complaints, for me it is a 3 star place

We were in a room on the 37th floor which looked towards Downtown Manhattan which was amazing. The property was clean. Buffet breakfast was good. The lifts were quite fast.

The small lobby was small and got easily congested. I notified a receptionist that the coffee maker in the room didn’t work, wasn’t fixed or replaced, so had to get a cup of hot water from the restaurant on level 2.

Bed is the absolute best I've ever had. The breakfast was also great and the staff are very nice. Location is perfect too.

Elevators are slow or inconsistent with what floor they are actually on. We could take the stairs but it takes awhile, but even then it is faster than the elevator.

Valido hotel nel cuore di Chelsea. La posizione è ottima; comodissimo alle varie fermate della metro sulla 23esima dalle quali si raggiunge comodamente tutta ny. Le camere non sono enormi (ricordiamoci di essere a New York) ma, ai piani più alti, regalano una vista mozzafiato. La struttura è pulita.

I punti negativi sono la poca varietà della colazione: su sei colazioni sei giorni abbiamo trovato disponibile quasi sempre gli stessi prodotti; gli ascensori sono troppo pochi per accogliere gli ospiti dell’hotel e per questo, negli orari di punta, ci si trovava ad aspettare diversi minuti prima di poter salire; l’acqua in camera non viene fornita e le bottigliette che sono presenti costano 6$ l’una.

Doceniam śniadania, lepsze niż w hotelach w US, które do tej pory odwiedzałam. Była jajecznica, kiełbaski, bekon, naleśniki i wiele innych. Nie był to wybór bardzo szeroki, ale naprawdę można było sobie coś znaleźć dla siebie.

Organizacja przestrzeni bardzo słaba na śniadaniach, co ograniczało liczbę miejsc do siedzenia. Stacja z kawą w miejscu, które uniemożliwia przejście do kolejnych pomieszczeń. Personel zupełnie nie panował nad uzupełnianiem braków, brakowało nawet sztućców czy talerzy. W samym pokoju bardzo, bardzo głośna klimatyzacja.

Le déjeuner était toujours le même, aucune variation d’un jour à l’autre. Je ne comprends pas qu’on propose du café filtre et qu’il n’y ai pas de machine automatique comme c’est le cas ailleurs. Je regrette également que si on doive quitter l’hôtel avant l’heure du petit déjeuner pour une excursion on nous facture le sac à emporter alors qu’en soit celui-ci est inclus dans la réservation mais qu’on ne peut pas le prendre… la salle est trop petite pour la clientèle de l’hôtel, on mange debout quand on y arrive tard…

Ottima colazione, anche molto abbondante. Posizione in un bellissimo quartiere e anche molto centrale, con la metro a pochissima distanza. Pulizia ideale, bellissima vista dalla finestra su downtown Manhattan.

Credo che la stanza, confortevole e pulitissima, potrebbe essere però un po' più grande. Inoltre, nell'orario colazione gli ascensori erano intasati e bisognava attendere anche dieci minuti per poterli usare.

Lobby toilets need signposting along with the gym. Walking from reception to the basement felt like you weren’t supposed to be there. Some light breakfast options on floor 2 would be good so you don’t have to carry your food up, or trays provided!

Everything was satisfactory, solid value for money, decent breakfast, good location, clean and convenient. The view from our room was excellent!

The air conditioning system was a bit noisy, so it was a trade-off between early morning sounds of the street or the noisy fan. Maybe it was to hot but it just never turned off, even if we put higher temp.

Hotel super consigliato. Le stanze vengono pulite ogni giorno, la pulizia è ottima e le stanze sono funzionali. Per un soggiorno di una settimana è perfetto, la posizione è ottima per raggiungere ogni zona della città e la zona è tranquilla la sera ma poco distante dal West Village e altri quartieri molto frequentati di sera raggiungibili a piedi e con qualche fermata di metro. La colazione per quanto mi riguarda è stata ottima rispetto alle solite colazioni continentali standard che vengono servite in hotel.

L’unica nota negativa sono gli ascensori: purtroppo essendocene pochi, negli orari di punta può capitare di dover attendere parecchio prima di riuscire a scendere o salire ai piani

I liked the location a lot! I was close to everything that I wanted to check out while visiting New York for the first time!

The AC did not really get cool in the room. It was manageable and it did cool the room. It just wasn't as cold as I like normally.

The bed was super comfortable and the room had everything we needed to be comfortable. It was clean and in a good location. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

It is still worth staying at the hotel but there were a few things (which the hotel were very upfront about) that required us to just plan around in order to make things go smoothly. The hotel elevators can be busy at periods of the morning and this usually also coincides with the breakfast rush. For the most part, we could get an elevator without waiting too long but if it was between 8-9.30am, one could wait up to 10 minutes and the breakfast area can be very busy. The other thing that seemed unnecessary to me was the only water bottles in the room are $6 a bottle. At least the tap water is fine or just bring in water from Wholefoods nearby but $6 for a regular plastic bottle of water seems pricey in an environment which has a decent price and offers complimentary breakfast. At least the check in staff did warm us of the cost.

Hyatt Place ha soddisfatto le nsotre aspettative, zona perfetta e molto tranquilla, linee della metro in fondo alla strada, e le altre linee dalla parte opposta. Molti servizi a pochi passi, ho sfruttato una lavanderia a pochi passi, così come un bar molto tranquillo dove fare colazione . La colazione dell'hotel è in linea con quelle degli altri brand di questa categoria, penso il forniotre sia lo stesso, le marche ed il cibo sono pressochè le stesse dappertutto, in ogni caso è buona . Camera oltre il 20° piano con vista bellissima verso Freedom Tower (vedi foto!), dimensione in linea con quelle di Hotel di simile categoria, King bed con sofa perfetta in 2, in 3, se apri il divano, diventa piuttosto angusta. Bagno pulito e funzionale. 4 ascensori garantivano un buon flusso e poche attese, ad eccezione dell'orario di punta colazione, ma è ben indicato nelle cabine. Servizio in camera perfetto e veloce, abbiamo ordinato una pizza la prima sera, ed è arrivata in poco tempo. Camera sempre in ordine e con ascugamani puliti. Personale gentilissimo in generale, alla reception sempre molto attenti a soddisfare le richieste del cliente. Ottimo il servizio navetta per il JFK, si spensdevano circa 75 USD. Scelta dell'Hotel davvero azzeccata.

Purtroppo la colazione, dopo le 8 del mattina, diventava impossibile, i posti a sedere non erano calcolati con il numero di persone alloggiate. Devo dire che prima delle 8, ho fatto colazione due volte ed ho sempre trovato posto in terrrazza. Verso le nove impossibile. In ogni caso, dei cartelli affissi negli ascensori indicavano i tempi migliori per evitare code.

4 ascenseurs desservent les plus de 40 étages mais pour il faut attendre parfois plus de 10 minutes pour en voir un s’arrêter. Le système de climatisation dans les chambres est très bruyant.
