The view of the lake was an asset. Also being right by the bus stops was extremely handy but also not a long walk to town

It was dated but comfortable and had everything you needed

The view was remarkably amazing! We really enjoyed our stay. The lodge was within walking distance to town. One thing to note is that the place wasn't particularly soundproof. The guests staying next door came home late and unfortunately woke us up. That said, we still had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back.

My room was very large, but the very best part was the view. I faced the lake, and it was gorgeous! Also, it was very clean.

The shower was a little challenging. The water was hot, but it sprayed everywhere.

Very clean, reasonably priced for peak season, staff incredibly helpful and friendly, relatively central location and very warm and cosy. Exceptional lake views, would definitely stay here again.

A small walk into town 15ish minutes with a bit of a hill, fine for young able-bodied couples but might be difficult with small families, although there is a bus stop right outside if you're happy to use local transport.

Very comfortable room and welcoming staff with everything we need to stay with our toddler.

Choose a Room facing the lake & snow peaked mountains. Can see the beautiful scenery from your bed

Parking on street level is limited. Wonder if some car owners are not hotel guests? The drive down to the other car park at lower ground was steep, with no elevator to the hotel. You need to carry & push heavy luggage up the steep slope to enter the hotel.

Close enough to walk into town. Spacious comfortable room with a fridge and facilities to heat food. Warm comfortable beds.

Shower temperature fluctuated a bit. At one point my husband experienced a blast of very hot water- maybe to do with the unit next door using their taps and interfering with ours.

The location is within walking distance to the town center. The room was warm and very clean and the bed was comfortable. Lovely view of the lake and ranges from the balcony.

Rooms are very dated. It is a very basic motel for the price. There is no lift so you have to carry your suitcases up and down the stairs. I was injured so the staff carried my bag upstairs for me which I appreciated but there was no one around to help when I checked out so I had to manage my bag on my own. The rooms are not very sound proof and doors could be heard slamming all through the day and night. Very noisy people, crying/yelling children, on my floor which disrupted sleep until 1:30am. Not the motels fault but the poor sound proofing didn't help this at all. No bath mat for the shower so used one of the bath towels and you have to wash your dishes in the bathroom sink which I am not a fan of.

So comfortable and warm. Love the pillows.

Fridge was noisy and I had to unplug it at night.

The room was very clean, comfortable and tidy but needed a makeover. We noticed that adjacent room (19) had had some work done and looked good.

We had a comfortable room with a delightful view of the lake. The property was located a reasonable distance from town which is what we wanted. Check in and check out were easy and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Some parts of the property are tired.

It felt safe and had the necessities. We were lucky to find a reasonably priced place to stay in Queenstown, and it was close enough to walk to downtown.

This is an older place which wasn't super well maintained. We had a hard time finding parking. I would have liked somewhere to get drinking water other than the bathroom sink.

The views from the room were spectacular. A very private and comfortable room.The lady at reception was very helpful, welcoming and looked after us from the moment we arrived. Everything the room provided met our needs. Thank you.

The location was great, with a fantastic view overlooking the lake and the mountains. It was within walking distance to town, so the car wasn't needed.

The location is good and rooms were good for the price.

The step out patio was all wet and messy with leaves, which then causes a mess inside the room when it rains. Some sort of covering would have been helpful.

The accommodation would benefit from an upgrade. The bed was not comfortable. The chairs had no lumbar support.

We selected a room with a view. What we hadn't appreciated was the constant pedestrians walking past our patio doors. There was no nets so everyone walking past would look into our accommodation as soon as we opened the curtains. The parking was tight. It was a treck into the centre of Queenstown. There were no restaurants, shops or bars within the immediate vicinity.

Great views, large room. We appreciated the hotel having a laundry with coin operated machines. Staff was friendly.

Parking and accessible was a little tricky.

The view. We were told we had been up graded to the top floor as we had paid a lot to stay

Everything the kitchen shelves were falling off the lounge furniture look like they had pick it up at the tip the dining chair had seen better days two were actually broken there was no where to sit comfortably the glass table was all scratched and no placemats in sight I the bathroom vanity needed to be replaced and the shower did not work very well. If you wanted warm or hot their was no pressure the timber on balcony was rotted

Room are out dated, needs modernising, shower room could be better, there are no electric sockets for shaver or hair drier. Needs to relocate massive heating radiator which partly blocks the view of the lake and makes the room look tacky.

The room we stayed has spectacular views of Lake Wakatipu that we don't want to leave. Room size is good, beds were comfortable, shower was strong. Very good location.

The hotel has long history , so some equipment may need to be adjusted, like the heater in the room blocked half of the bottom part of sliding door, which is also blocked the lake view.
