Devoir partir
Experience here is more than satisfied. Staffs are lovely, try best to provide the excellent experience. Spa are amazing, tried the signature one with therapist Teddy, who is very professional and caring. The beach is quiet but you can see many tiny creatures, paddle, kayak and snorkeling equipment ares provided. Breakfast is amazing.
nothing to say
More than satisfied. Harmony with the nature nd very caring services. I will definitely come back.
A fantastic stay on Phi Phi We had a really enjoyable stay at Outrigger Phi Phi and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing stay on the island. The location is fantastic, set on a beautiful private beach away from the busier parts of Phi Phi. The beach was clean and peaceful, and we were lucky enough to have lovely weather during our stay, which made the setting even better. Our room was very comfortable and well maintained, and the beachfront villas are a particularly nice option if you want to be right by the sea. The resort also has two swimming pools, so there are plenty of places to relax. They also provide stand up paddle boarding and kayaking. As well as equipment for snorkeling. The restaurant was another highlight. We really enjoyed the food and the setting, and the two-hour happy hour with half-price drinks was a great bonus. Overall, a beautiful location, friendly atmosphere, comfortable rooms, good food and a lovely beach. It felt like a great place to switch off and enjoy Phi Phi without being caught up in the crowds. We would definitely stay here again.
We absolutely loved our stay here! The villa was spacious, comfortable, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The beach is beautiful and peaceful, with crystal-clear water and stunning views. The food was also delicious, with plenty of great options to enjoy throughout our stay. The whole resort has such a relaxing atmosphere, and it’s a wonderful place to escape and enjoy the beauty of Phi Phi. We had a fantastic time and would definitely love to come back!
The location is just stunning! The staff is really friendly and attentive! I even had a really nice birthdaycake at the reataurant ☺️ It is a quiet, beautiful and really clean place for holidays.
First of all, I would like to mention that I have never given a feedback to any of my holidays in the past. But staying at outrigger Phi Phi was such an outstanding experience, that I like to provide my first comments on this platform. We stayed 13 nights at outrigger phi phi and enjoyed the resort which is arranged as a beautiful garden and the newly renovated and brightly furnished Villa very much. The beautiful and calm beach just in front of the Villas with fine sand like powder reminds me at the wonderful beach of kho rok, which was my personal beach highlight, so far. Private boat transfer on arrival, excursions with long-tail-boats and diving trips were perfectly organized by the lovely front-office-team. Eating in outrigger phi phi which its variety of thai food, chinese and even indian dishes is so versatile that we have not searched for alternative restaurants, what we usually do. My son loved the spicy thai food and we would like the thank the chef for giving us further insights into thai kitchen. The entire staff at outrigger phi phi is so lovely, friendly, courteous and helpful, so that even we, as experienced Thailand travelers, are deeply impressed. Thank you to all of you. We have never experienced so many wow-moments in a single holiday. We can fully recommend outrigger Phi Phi and though, we usually do not visit the same place twice, we keep outrigger phi phi on our bucket list for further holidays. Best wishes Lukas
I booked a two-night stay at OUTRIGGER Phi Phi Island Resort to celebrate my birthday, and it turned out to be a truly memorable experience. The resort has been beautifully transformed from the former Zeavola while still retaining its unique charm. Although it is currently in its soft opening phase, the warm hospitality was just as exceptional as at other OUTRIGGER resorts I have visited. From the moment my friends and I arrived, we were warmly welcomed with refreshing aromatic cold towels and welcome drinks. I was also given a beautiful beaded bracelet, which I later realized perfectly matched the room's design, a lovely touch. A special thank you to the General Manager, Chris, for upgrading us to a Pool Villa. Khun Eye showed us to our villa, which was spacious, beautifully designed, and very comfortable. We had a beachfront birthday dinner arranged especially for us. Thank you to Khun Matt, the Resort Manager, for making the evening so special. The next day, we were invited to experience the resort's brand-new longtail boat on a trip to Maya Bay. Although the sea was too rough to get close to the bay, we still had an amazing time. The picnic on board, together with the wonderful company of Khun Andrew and Khun Phing, made it one of the most enjoyable boat trips I have ever had. After returning to the resort, I treated myself to the classic Zeavola oil massage by Khun White. It was incredibly relaxing, and I only wished it could have lasted longer. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. I also tried several healthy detox shots, and they were surprisingly tasty! I can't wait to return once the resort is fully completed so I can enjoy all of its facilities. I would happily recommend OUTRIGGER Phi Phi Island Resort to anyone looking for a relaxing island getaway, and I look forward to visiting again soon. A heartfelt thank you to the entire resort team—from the front and back office, restaurant staff, spa team, and the boat captains—for making this trip so special. (^.^)/
I decided to splurge for one day at Outrigger Kho Phi Phi at the end of my week long Thailand trip. I decided to travel solo and was initially drawn to the resorts emphasis on sustainability and barefoot walking. During my one day there I had the chance to stay in the most incredible and spotless room that was priced at an unbeatable rate, but I didn't have much time to spend in the room due to my packed schedule. First off, Chef Satya runs a kitchen that delivers the most excellent food and the front of house manager Andrew ensures that the atmosphere is always excellent. During my first lunch there, he recommended an appetizer and a main and played a game with me and the wait staff. They were setting tables for dinner and I guessed who would finish setting first (with the help of Andrew). I happened to guess correctly and received a free drink on them. The food arrived and it was excellent as well. I later took a one on one cooking course with Chef Satya, who has trained under world class chefs around the world, and made Tom Yum, Pad Kha, and Stirred Fried Basil with the kitchen staff. Prior to the class, Chef Satya personally met with me and showed me around the serene grounds, the garden, and the new kitchen. The front desk staff was also incredible and helped schedule the course to work with my schedule and planned it all out within 24 hours. It feels like a once in a lifetime experience. I also had a chance to relax on the beach with food and drink. The water here is unbelievably clear and kayaks, paddle boards, and snorkels with the staff taking care of all the areas sand to make sure there are no rocks or twigs allowing you to walk barefoot anywhere. I had a chance to talk with the captain of the island's boat and scuba instructor. He seemed excellent telling me about the wave patterns and giving me recommendations on where to kayak. Finally, I got a massage from the resort's spa. I had received a massage every day while in Thailand, but while there massage was more expensive, it was well worth it as they listened to what I had to say and created an experience that warranted the cost. Overall, Outrigger is one of a few premium resorts that you can choose from on the north end of Kho Phi Phi. The island is quiet, beautiful, and relaxing. It contains all the elements for a perfect vacation and the staff take it to the next level making sure that you feel taken care for at all times and taking the time to get to know you. All in all my one day only cost around $350 and was well worth every dollar. I will certainly be back to walk around with the sand in my feet and to say hi to my new friends at Outrigger.
I highly recommend staying at Outrigger Phi Phi Island if you’re looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. The beachfront restaurant is lovely, and every staff member is warm, friendly, and attentive. They made us feel welcome throughout our stay.
The absolute BEST. amazing people. Amazing service. The best. Love it. We will 100% be coming back
Location, location, location — and this one truly took our breath away. From the moment we arrived, the secluded beachfront setting felt almost unreal: peaceful, private, and surrounded by natural beauty in a way that instantly made us feel like we had found somewhere very special. We had originally booked a garden villa, but once we saw the resort and experienced the incredible location, we knew we had to upgrade to a beachfront villa with a pool — and it was absolutely worth it. The villa was luxurious, spotless, and beautifully positioned, with everything we needed to fully relax and take in the surroundings. There were also two large resort pools, a great gym, and so many thoughtful touches throughout the property. The staff went above and beyond at every turn, making us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. The food was fresh and delicious, and the breakfast buffet was incredible. The remote location is unparalleled — tranquil, breathtaking, and unforgettable. The live music was fantastic, and Andy was fabulous. Overall, this resort is truly up there with the very best, and the experience left us feeling completely in awe.
There was nothing not to like. Everyone went above and beyond
We had a wonderful time in PhiPhi! The hotel was a perfect match for family. The family room was incredibly spacious and cozily decorated, and the entire property had a classy yet relaxed beach vibe. Best of all, the staff were lovely and always around to help with a smile 😊
Our anniversary stay was nothing short of wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel genuinely welcome. Even though it was the rainy season the weather gods were on our side and we felt very lucky! The room was beautiful, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared, making our celebration feel even more special. Every detail reflected exceptional hospitality, and the peaceful atmosphere gave us the perfect opportunity to relax and enjoy each other’s company. The staff were warm, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to make our stay memorable. The highlight of our stay was the very special anniversary dinner the staff had set up at the beach! Chef Satya had curated an excellent menu for us to enjoy! The food was delicious and desert was the star of the night! Thank you for making our anniversary so special. We left with beautiful memories and can’t wait to return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a truly memorable getaway.
Me and my boyfriend got back from the Outrigger Phi Phi a week ago and it’s safe to say it was our best trip yet. Once arriving at phi phi we got a long tail boat to the area the outrigger is on. It’s super exclusive. We were greeted straight away on the beach and had our cases taken into the hotel. Every single member of staff at that resort really cares about doing a great job and they are all so friendly. Even with a soft opening, it felt like we had everything we needed. Our room was amazing. We had cleaners and turn down service offered every day, as well as a pool cleaner every morning. Everyday we were brought a new gift to our room and stocked up on everything we needed. The rooms have a super fancy coffee ma chine, Dyson hairdryer, speaker system, amazing bed and bathroom as well as an outdoor shower if you have a pool room. The resort has limited rooms so it didn’t once feel busy, with the staff all remembering who we are, the day we are leaving and also checking in on us everyday. They have an app service where you can also ask questions whenever and they respond asap, with reception also being available. There are plenty of pool beds by the pool as well as on the beach. The water is so clear and they offer free paddle boarding and kayaking which was amazing. We were treated with amazing care and service this holiday and I couldn’t recommend this resort enough. I can’t wait to go back again. Unfortunately I can’t remember all staff names, all were amazing, but special shoutout to Kim, who checked in on us daily and was super kind and helpful whenever we needed it. Punch worked in the restaurant and she was always so nice and helpful, as well as all the other staff members. It’s safe to say not only was the resort amazing but the staff there really made this an amazing trip. The spa was also incredible so really recommend that! Thank you so much Outrigger! - Holly and Jack :)
One of the best resort and best place I would say, I never met any nicer staff than this resort’s staff. I will revisit in few years because of the hospitality and view here. Food was amazing, atmosphere was beautiful, amenities were great too.
I would like to start this review by saying that I hold a Ph.D. in Hospitality Management and currently teach hospitality, tourism, customer service, lodging operations, research, and related courses at New York City College of Technology and LaGuardia Community College in New York. I am not saying this to brag, but simply to provide context. Hospitality is not only my profession—it is my life's work. I have traveled to more than 50 countries, stayed in countless hotels and resorts around the world, and spent over 20 years observing, studying, teaching, and experiencing hospitality first hand. With that being said, I can confidently say that OUTRIGGER Koh Phi Phi Island Resort will be used as an example in my classes for years to come. I have never experienced a level of hospitality, care, and genuine customer service quite like this. I want to begin with Kim, the Guest Service Manager. Even before our arrival, she and her team took the time to learn about me and my family so they could create a truly personalized experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed, valued, and respected. Throughout our stay, I was addressed as Dr. Aleksandra with warmth and professionalism, but what happened next is something I will never forget. Upon checking in, I realized that I had lost my wallet. Not just a wallet—but my documents, credit cards, identification, and essentially my entire life while traveling. I was absolutely devastated and panicked. Without hesitation, Kim immediately sprang into action. She contacted the airport, the ferry operators, and every possible stop along the route we had taken to reach the island. Less than an hour later, she located my wallet and arranged for it to be returned to me the following day. That single act earned my loyalty forever. Whoever hired Kim deserves an award. In all my years of traveling, I have never met anyone better suited for a hospitality leadership role. She is exceptional not only as a professional but also as a human being. She is calm under pressure, endlessly respectful, genuinely caring, and somehow manages to make miracles happen. Since the Kids Club had not officially opened yet, she even arranged private activities and classes for my five-year-old daughter twice a day to keep her engaged and entertained. Throughout our entire stay, she checked on us, helped us with every detail, and made sure our vacation was truly special. There are simply not enough words to express my gratitude. I would also like to recognize Boss, Sky, Bomb, Arm, Punch, Lift, and Mai. These incredible team members made sure our week felt like heaven on earth. By the second day, they knew our names, remembered our breakfast orders, how we liked our coffee, which wine we preferred, and even our favorite beer. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Every interaction felt genuine and heartfelt. This is the kind of personalized service that hospitality professionals spend years trying to teach—and this team delivers it naturally every single day. The food was phenomenal. Breakfast was outstanding, and every meal we ordered throughout the week exceeded expectations. Every dish was beautifully prepared, flavorful, and memorable. It is rare to find a resort where every dining experience consistently impresses, but OUTRIGGER accomplished exactly that. I would also like to thank Fon and Mona, my daughter's teachers, who showed extraordinary patience, kindness, and love. They made her feel safe, happy, and excited every day. As a parent, there is no greater gift than seeing your child genuinely happy while on vacation. A special thank you as well to Rhyss and the team members who organized activities for our family. One of my favorite memories was planting mango trees together. Watching staff members carry my daughter on their backs, laugh with her, teach her, and treat her like family is something I will never forget. What makes this resort special is not the beautiful beach, the comfortable rooms, or even the excellent food. What makes it special is the people. Some resorts provide service. OUTRIGGER Koh Phi Phi Island Resort provides something much rarer: genuine human connection. By the end of our stay, we no longer felt like guests. We felt like family. We felt part of something bigger than a vacation. We felt cared for. To our OUTRIGGER family, thank you for the respect, kindness, generosity, and love you showed us throughout our stay. Thank you for creating memories that my family will cherish forever. Thank you for reminding me why I fell in love with hospitality in the first place. You have set the standard against which I will measure every future hospitality experience. We will be back, not just next year, but for many years to come. With heartfelt gratitude, Dr. Aleksandra Selenic and Family
This resort was under the construction of renewal when I visited. But the crew members and the food was great. Especially snorkeling of the front beach was the best I have ever had without going by boat.
I’ve had a very pleasant experience. The rooms are great and the staff are amazing. They made me feel seen and special. The only thing is, there’s open buffet on breakfast, but there are unfortunately too many flies flying around and sitting on food. I was avoiding exposed food but I wish I could have it… safety concerns.. I’d suggest action (at least cover up) is needed to improve breakfast experience. Oh and check the bill during check out. I was overcharged but resolved everything with staff. Otherwise, can recommend
My 5-night stay at OUTRIGGER Phi Phi Island Resort was honestly one of the most unexpectedly special resort experiences I’ve had in Thailand. Before arriving here, I had just stayed at several other 5-star luxury properties throughout Thailand, and I had never stayed at an Outrigger property before, so I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect — especially knowing the resort had recently gone through a rebrand and major renovation. Even before I arrived, I had a few logistical issues on my end regarding transportation and timing. The hotel responded to my emails almost immediately and helped coordinate everything quickly and professionally, which immediately lowered my stress level before traveling to Phi Phi. The moment I arrived by speedboat, multiple staff members greeted me warmly and helped with all my luggage. Walking toward the reception area, my first impression was that the property looked beautiful, peaceful, and incredibly well maintained. The landscaping was clearly brand new and thoughtfully designed, the white sand pathways were perfectly raked every day, and the entire resort had a calm luxury feel without trying too hard. The biggest surprise came when I entered my villa. From the outside, the villas are beautiful tropical-style structures, but the interior completely exceeded my expectations. The design felt modern tropical minimalist with warm wood finishes, soft indirect lighting, vaulted ceilings, natural textures, and an incredibly open and calming layout. The villa was massive, spotless, and designed in a way that instantly made me relax. Between the oversized patio, private beach area, ocean views, and indoor-outdoor feel, I honestly caught myself thinking multiple times: “I wish this was my home in Portugal.” What truly makes this property special though is the people. Every single person on the property — from landscapers to restaurant staff to housekeeping to concierge — greeted me warmly every single day. I’ve traveled enough to know that genuine hospitality is hard to fake, and the people here truly care. Everyone remembered my name, always smiled, and made me feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of throughout my stay. The renovations throughout the property are definitely a huge wow factor, especially the restaurant and main gathering spaces. The restaurant itself has an incredibly fresh, modern tropical design with beautiful lighting, natural wood textures, high ceilings, open-air energy, and a large covered patio next to the pool overlooking the beach. Now onto the food… I genuinely don’t know how to properly explain how good the food was here. I’ve eaten at Michelin-star restaurants around the world and honestly preferred many of the meals here. Watching the chefs display the fresh seafood and meats daily added such a cool experience, and the open kitchen gave the whole restaurant energy and transparency. Some of my favorites were: * The beef tenderloin * Tiger prawns * Green curry * Several traditional Thai dishes * Fresh seafood selections * Breakfast every morning, which was consistently incredible The quality, presentation, and flavor were outstanding. I ended up eating most of my meals at the resort because there was simply no reason to leave. And somehow the service matched the food. The spa experience also deserves special recognition. My reservation included a treatment, and normally I’m honestly not a huge massage/spa person — but I may have become one after this stay. The spa villas were beautiful, peaceful, spotless, and calming the second you walked inside. Tum greeted me with such kindness, offered me fresh juice, asked thoughtful questions about areas needing attention, and made the entire experience feel personal and relaxing. My massage therapist Varn was incredibly gentle, professional, and calming, and the experience was so relaxing that I immediately booked another treatment. My second massage with Teddy was equally amazing and one of the most relaxing massages I’ve ever had. I also spent several days scuba diving during my stay, and the new dive instructor Rhys was incredibly helpful getting everything organized for me. Beyond that, he regularly stopped by just to say hello and check in throughout my stay, which again speaks to the overall culture of hospitality at this resort. One other thing worth mentioning: the technology and communication here were excellent. The resort app was one of the best hotel apps I’ve used anywhere. Concierge responses were always fast, professional, and helpful. Honestly, I could probably write a short book about this stay. What stands out most is that while the resort itself is visually stunning after the renovations, the soul of the property is the people working there. That combination is what creates truly memorable experiences. Luxury is easy to build. Creating warmth, peace, and genuine hospitality is much harder — and this resort achieved both. The only minor thing I noticed was that a few villas appeared to still be receiving some finishing touches from the renovation process, but it looked like most of the major work was already completed and it never negatively impacted my stay. Thank you to everyone at Outrigger Phi Phi for making these 5 nights so memorable. I will absolutely be returning in the future.
I have been a devoted fan of this resort for many years, having first visited in 2008 when it was known as Zeavola. Its "Step Back to Simplicity" philosophy and "Barefoot Luxury" concept have always held a very special place in my heart. In May 2025, I was genuinely saddened to learn through social that Zeavola was closing its doors to be transformed into the new Outrigger resort. Now, after a year-long break, I had the unique honor of being the very first guest on the soft opening day - May 4th, 2026. It was emotional to return after the transformation, and my main concern was: would Outrigger be able to preserve the "soul" of this place? All websites featured only the renderings of the renovated Outrigger, not actual photos, so I had to see everything with my own eyes. In fact, the reality exceeded my expectations. Outrigger has carefully saved what I loved about Zeavola: the lush, dense greenery, the wonderful sand paths, the original teakwood villa frames and terraces, the traditional entrance groups, and even the water bowls for washing feet. Most importantly, what makes the transition from Zeavola to Outrigger truly seamless is the team. Much of the original staff has remained, and it was a pleasure to see so many familiar faces alongside new professionals. Satya and Andrew lead the way in the restaurant, providing outstanding service and an incredible dining experience (and the coffee here is simply the best). Rhys, the Dive Center Manager, is a true professional whose recommendations and guidance for sea excursions made for a fantastic adventure. The spa team and massage therapist Teddy provide an incredible massage experience (currently in a dedicated villa while the spa complex is under renovation). The villa interior renovation, as well as the public areas, is a colossal step forward. The villas have been completely reimagined - the fresh design is a joy to the eye with light interiors and thoughtful decor, and the materials feel high-quality, durable, and incredibly tactile. The villas now feature very quiet ceiling fans and Daikin AC units, excellent new bathroom equipment, massive sliding doors, and premium sleep comfort. While the interior teak flooring is gone (it remains on the outdoor decks and will be kept in the spa complex), this didn't feel like major loss given the scale of the upgrade. Although this is a soft opening (as of May 4th, 2026) and some areas are still being finalized - such as certain villas, the spa complex, the dive center, and the breakfast restaurant - many features are already open. The stunning new beachfront pool with sunbeds, the new fitness center (next to the original old pool), and the new restaurant with an open terrace and direct sea views all look magnificent. Huge thanks to the General Manager, Chris, for his leadership. He has managed to give this iconic resort a "new breath" while preserving the peace and tranquility that I, as a regular guest, value so much. I will definitely return to the new Outrigger once the full renovation is complete, it is again my favorite resort in Thailand.
The newly renovated Outrigger Phi Phi Island makes your holiday an unforgettable experience. The rooms are beautiful, expansive and very comfortable. A delight. The amenities include a modern well-equiped gym, pools, spa & massage centre, restaurant, and so much more. The restaurant deserves special mention, with Chef Satya at the helm, the food is beautifully presented and confectioned to perfection, sure to delight your taste buds. Any special dietary requirements are happily attended to. The drink selection is equally excellent, as is the service. The boat trip was special too, with a small group and a fast boat, taking you to Maya Bay and several other places (timed to avoid the crowds as much as possible). Service was exceptional around, very personal, warm, helpful, and attentive to your every need. Already thinking of the next time!
We stayed as Zeavola and it’s was the most incredible island traditional relaxed stay With high level staff and service and food Sad it’s changing to be renovated as we planned to go back each year but now we probably won’t being updated to be fully commercialised- shouldn’t of sold to get bigger and more modern it was perfect
Outrigger Phi Phi Island Resort is located on Laem Tong Beach. The sand is soft, the water is clean. The garden is clean, but old. 30 minutes on the boat, tired. Breakfast is good, lunch is good and dinner is cheap. The staff is cheerful, but the pool bar is late. It is possible to snorkel, but things are more expensive. There is peace, but it would be better to do something new. Perfect for those who want a vacation.
We reserved our room, paid in full (etc)....... and then our booking was cancelled without any reason or any contact. I raised the cancellation with the website and no response was forthcoming from Zeavola (now known as Outrigger). Looks lovely, but shame that they cancelled without reason or contact.
This was a really unique experience The resort is beautiful, there are a lot of great experiential activities, the staff was very attentive, and the food was tasty.
This was an emotional trip back to Zeavola this April as we (my husband and i) knew it was the last time we would be staying there before the Hotel is closing for good. This was our 14th time staying here, and like every other time before, we loved every second of our stay..... The resort, the beach, the scenery and staying amongst the nature in beautiful Koh Phi Phi with the incredible weather. We who'll hold these memories forever! We've been coming here for 17 years, every year ( minus Covid), and it's our home away from home! It was wonderful to be a part of the final chapter and see our extended Zeavola Family (the staff) before the new chapter begins in November when the Hotel reopens with a new identity under the 'Outrigger Chain of Hotels. We are worried that they may not realise the uniqueness, the stunning beach and the fact that this hotel is like no other, in Thailand, and is so special set amongst the jungle and on that pristine, stunning beach. A special callout on this trip to Nico ( food & bev team) who is a wonderful , professional and engaging young man - who really looks after the guests and goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome and special and he always looks after us), Laila for her huge efforts to serve and smile, Poh - Baby Frog (you make us laugh) and Chef Satya (for his amazing food). Keeping this brief, Zeavola is our perfect place on earth (we were married here and we have a "love tree" which we visit every year and our family & friends all look forward to hearing about our visits and photos of our tree every year), and we truly hope the new custodians of OutRigger do not change the hotel, the beach and the style of barefoot luxury too much. We planted a love tree many years ago and hope that our tree gets the opportunity to live on and grown high and strong with Outrigger. Thankyou to all the Zeavola staff pay and present who become our friends. We will await to see what becomes of the hotel in Oct/Nov, and hope that the neighbour's blue tractor will stop driving past everyone relaxing on the beach and disrupting what is one of the most relaxing, pristine and beautiful beaches in Thailand! We hope to return.....
Unbelievable experience. What a wonderful resort.
This place is heaven! It feels unreal! The staff, the views, the food, everything is amazing! The mosquitoes are crazy though but it's all part of the experience! It's such a special place 💕 Thank you to everyone for making our stay so memorable!
fantastic experience. I would like to highlight the food. Everything is delicious a big congrat to the chef that we learned if from Mautitius, I also would like to highlight the bar chef called Nico. Excelent professional. I have lost one of my phones from my Airpods and got a fantastic support from a lady called Jan. She make my phone to be delivered in Bangkok 2 days after my depsrture from Zeavola. Fantastic!!! Thanks very much for this great experience
We had a wonderful stay at Zeavola resort. We booked an ocean front bungalow, 2 steps away from the lovely beach. The bungalow itself was very comfortable: spacious, good bed, large flatscreen tv with netflix, very good wifi,… really great! The breakfast was top as well! Good pool as an alternative to the beach in case you prefer that (not us). I’m a bit surprised by the negative comments, so let me be add the following. First of all, tractors on the beach are used to pickup travellers from the boats and get them back on. This happens like 4 a 5 times a day and didnt one second bother us. And of course we needed it ourselves as well. Secondly, the (very large) beach is not private, as there are 2 or 3 other resorts. But not one single moment, I had the impression that it was crowded, on the contrary. There are also 3 local restaurants and a few mini-markets, which is actually a good thing because you can eat out. And last but not least, security. Not one single moment, we had the impression that there were strangers hanging out, everything was very peaceful. Overall, we had a great stay. Staff was super friendly, and the whole resort well maintained. We would love to be back!!
Amazing service, food, accomodations, really everything. Can't recommend staying here enough!
We had a wonderful family holiday in Zeavola. All the staff are very kind and careful. I would like to emphasise the good service of the restaurant, with an unbelievable chef, both the lunch and dinner menus are excellent. All the dishes we tried were very good. I'd like to congratulate Nico on his excellent work! Always very attentive and friendly to all guests
Returning to this hotel, we expected an improved experience based on assurances from management. Instead, we were met with the same old issues—broken promises, poor service, and an overall decline in standards. The Beach Nightmare The infamous tractor still rumbles up and down the "private beach" at least 30 times a day, shattering any hope of peace. This has been raised in countless reviews, and yet, despite assurances in 2024 that it would be resolved, it persists. If you’re not dodging diesel fumes, you’re weaving through crowds of guests from neighboring hotels cutting across the beach—often in groups of 50 or more. Security? Almost non-existent. We had to personally alert staff multiple times as non-guests took loungers and hovered near our belongings. Fire Show Hell If the tractor doesn't ruin your day, the ear-splitting fire shows from the next hotel will ruin your evening. These occur three to four times a week, just 100 meters away, and are impossible to escape—even from the furthest cabins. Lock yourself in? Doesn’t help. And again, we were told this was "being addressed." It wasn’t. A Room So Filthy It Needed a Deep Clean As if the rest of the experience wasn’t bad enough, our room was so dirty upon arrival that it required a full deep clean before it was even remotely acceptable. How this level of neglect is possible at a so-called luxury resort is beyond us. Mosquito Spraying – But What Are They Spraying? Daily pesticide fogging happens with little to no warning, and no transparency about what chemicals are being used. Given the relentless mosquito presence, whatever they’re using is clearly ineffective. The Pool of Neglect Walking barefoot around the pool? Risk second-degree burns. The deck is scalding hot, with broken elephants, shoddy workmanship, and poorly maintained—issues raised in 2024 with zero improvement. Once again, we were misled by the hotel’s empty reassurances. A Stay That Feels Like Work What should have been a relaxing escape turned into a two-week exercise in pointing out hygiene concerns in the restaurant, overworked staff on 12-hour shifts, and the resort's general decline. Anything beyond a short stay, and you’ll start noticing the cracks—literally and figuratively.
The positives: staff are so courteous, with wondeful service ethic, as we have experienced in our Thailand travel's. The beach is also beautiful. Crystal clear waters, white sands. Brilliant. The food, although limited in choice was excellent. Well cooked, fresh, and full of flavour. The Negatives: Accommodation is not what we would expect from a premium price tag. Appreciated the 'jungle experience ethos.' however both my wife and myself experienced the most horrendous mosquito bites, even with the net intact, around the bed. Sandfly bites to my feet and legs (as diagnosed by one of the staff, after i thought that they where bedbugs as they happened at night, whilst in bed) required attention as they where becoming unmanageably difficult to deal with due to the awful itchiness, that caused 4, almost sleepless nights. We had a beach view villa. The access to the beach from the villa was via a small dilapidated concourse that was shored up with plastic sandbags, making the walk to the beach a little precarious. Not something i would expect from a premium price Villa. Tractors every five minutes, along the beach spewing out diesel fumes that fumigated the villa when the wind was in the wrong direction, also breaking any semblance of tranquility. It was so annoying, and if we had known this as a constant would probably have reconsidered our choice of resort. Appreciated that Zeavola is stuck between two other resorts, and appreciate supplies have to be transported somehow, but at the expense of customers who have paid a premium price for the priveledge of some tranquility, and the somewhat contradiction of the Zeavola Ideal of working with nature and the "jungle experience" It did somewhat ruin the beginning of our holiday, and we left Zeavola exhasted, as opposed to refreshed. I really do not want to be so deameaning of this resort, but when you spend your hard earnt money on what we believed would be a relaxing and tranquil experience, but ended up being somewhat of an effort in dealing with noise and major insect infestation. On an end note, we have travelled in Thailand enjoying Ko Yao Noi, Koh Yai Yai, and have not had the problems with the infestation of insects. This issue really does need addressing.
We ate dinner one night as we weren’t staying here but the food and service were impeccable. Our service was made that much better because of Khun Nico, Khun Golf and Khun Yui. Our drinks came out promptly, our starter came out first (as Khun Golf asked if we would like it first or come out with the rest of the meal- most times in Thailand they just come out whenever it’s ready haha). We had the pork satay, chicken cashew and chicken fried rice along with the desserts…everything was phenomenal. Highly recommended!
Just overall stunning accommodation and beach and would return in a heartbeat. Amazing staff throughout the resort from reception, bar and restaurant and the kind men who collect your luggage from the pier. This was one of the highlights of our trip and we wished we had booked longer than two nights. The beach is quiet with enough sun beds and cushions for the guests, the pool we didn’t use as the beach was so beautiful also had more than enough places to lay with sun loungers and umbrellas. Food was great for all meals. We didn’t eat anywhere else as we were only there for a short time. Cocktails all fabulous too. Turn down service with the little gifts and fresh fruit left in your room was a lovely touch as well as coming around with cold towels and fresh fruit while you lay on the beach. Take me back immediately! This is a very quiet resort perfect for relaxing, if you want very late nights and party party then it isn’t for you.
Here’s your review in English with a polished and warm tone: --- Zeavola Hotel in Koh Phi Phi is an absolute gem—a perfect blend of luxury and simplicity that harmonizes beautifully with nature. The experience is both authentic and indulgent, making it truly one of a kind. The staff is incredibly warm and welcoming, making you feel like part of a family rather than just a guest. Saying goodbye feels like parting from friends. Special thanks to Nico, Tik, Lyila, and the rest of the amazing restaurant team—they were exceptional! And then there’s Chef Satia—his culinary mastery never ceases to amaze. The meals at Zeavola surpass even the most high-end restaurants we visited during our month in Thailand. Satia always greets us personally, sending special dishes to our table, and when I return home, I ask for his recipes—which he always shares generously, and they always turn out perfect. The little touches at Zeavola make the difference—every evening, I find small, delightful surprises placed on my side of the bed. In short—an unforgettable, magical stay. Highly recommended! --- Let me know if you’d like any tweaks! 😊
Amazing place to stay which is away from all the craziness of phi phi island
Beautiful property! Quiet part of KOH phi phi, which we liked. Easy to get into town with a boat.
Beautiful beachfront resort with friendly and attentive staff
A wonderfully relaxed three days of no shoes, no shirt, no worries. Excellent food and service, comfortable and unique accommodation, great beach, total relaxation. Just have to keep on top of the insects with generous amounts of deet and remember to ensure the mosquito netting is fully closed. We would return in a flash.
Rooms evening dinner and beach.
Great hotel and very good service; they were very good on Christmas Eve especially. Breakfast was excellent, and as was the main meals. Only slight complaint is lots of mosquitos
Great place with an authentic island appeal. Loved the property and grounds, such a comfortable place to relax, play and enjoy.
Absolutely loved our stay here! From the staff to the property itself- special!
They best resort for getaway romantic couples
This is the place to stay at if you’re ever visiting Phi Phi Island’s quiet beaches. One of the best breakfasts I’ve had in hotels. Everything about this hotel is amazing. Attention to detail is top notch. Recommend for anyone wants to avoid busy Tonsai Bay and have an amazing few days.
Very unique hotel in the middle of the jungle which offers a very different kind of experience. The only downside was the sea in front of the beach was swallow and during low tide it became only knee high. Not very suitable for swimming.
Just an amazing stay, everything was impeccable, they do think about all details! Best pro ever is the way they care about mosquitoes: lotions, lots of appliances and repellent available everywhere within the hotel and rooms. Surrounded by nature, in front of the best beach: perfect!
The property was excellent and the service impeccable!
Even before you arrive, the ENTIRE staff at Zeavola go above and beyond to make your experience incredible. Before even arriving, I contacted them about booking a private boat to the resort since my flight would be arriving after any potential shuttle could bring us to the resort. I also decided to upgrade my room to a Pool Villa Suite. The entire process was quick and easy via email, even with an 11 hour time difference. The day before, our flight was delayed and we were forced to take a different connecting flight the next morning. We arrived about 3 hours later than expected but the driver was still patiently waiting for us at the airport. Upon arrival, we were greeted in style. We did part of the check in at the marina so check-in took less than 5 minutes. We were walked to our room with a very friendly young lady. She showed us everything throughout the room. The view was outstanding! Nothing like being virtually in the trees and looking out to paradise! Room was extremely clean. Daily cleaning and turn down service by the friendliest people you will ever meet. They are doing some work on trimming the trees to make the views even more spectacular! Now for the best part! The staff. Every day from the time we woke up until the time we went to bed. They were all super friendly, accommodating, humerus, loved working with each other and always went above and beyond to make our stay, out of this world! Nico, Golf, Yui, Rada, Q, Eart, Jaru, and manager Ek were all outstandin
Best resort ever
Very romantic place for couples and people that want to get away from everything, is in a island very secluded and quiet.
True relaxation in paradise!!!! We absolutely loved our time here on Phi Phi Island and at Zeavola! The staff were lovely and gracious! We can’t wait to take another vacation here. Especially wonderful for couples. There are trees planted in honor of couples who marry here. Neat to see how large some of those trees have become! The resort was quite peaceful and not crowded. Each couple has their own private villa/ bungalow. The food was amazing! Wonderful chef! We highly recommend staying at Zeavola!!
Probably one of the nicest and exclusive hotels you can stay at on Ko Phi Phi. Not cheap but beautifully run. Don’t settle for less.
Fabulous low key resort on a small beach with a few other hotels and casual restaurants. Zeavola was great from the marina check in to the van drop off at the airport. We did a private 4 person speed boat day trip which included the best snorkeling we have seen. The resort is small but perfect for what we were looking for. Great service
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Zeavola, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. Nestled amidst breathtaking natural beauty, the surroundings were simply enchanting. The staff went above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay, providing impeccable service with genuine warmth and hospitality. I couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate my honeymoon. Breakfast was a culinary delight, offering a delectable array of dishes that tantalized the taste buds. I ordered room service for two nights in a row and couldn’t have been more satisfied with the food. Just keep in mind that access is only by boat and you are a bit far from Tonsai pier. Overall, my experience at Zeavola was amazing, and my husband and I have plans to go back again.
Life changing experience. Prior to going I had no clue how outdoors it is. I came across so many animals in the night walking back to the room, I really loved my experience. One to remember for a lifetime
Overall it was flawless - absolutely recommend
The resort was stunning. Very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. This hotel is in a great location to get away from the touristy feel of the island and it’s a short trip to get to the main land where the party scene is.
Amazing, one of a kind place to stay. Far from the overly touristic part of Phi Phi island, this beachside resort really made us feeling like we were staying in paradise. Their no sandal policy meant that you can walk around barefoot, a truly liberating experience that makes you feel in one with the environment. The staff were really friendly and helpful. They helped us arrange exclusion boat tour around the islands and handled the transfer to and off the island even though we did not use their private boat service. The food is simply amazing. The breakfast buffet has great variety - including a selection of different sets you can order, from a full English to a Thai platter. They had different menus for lunch and dinner - when we were there we were lucky to have the seafood BBQ which were so fresh and delicious!
If you want the experience of living ‘off grid’ then this is the place for you. Perhaps I stayed in the wrong hotel for what I wanted but it was almost like ‘glamping’ to use a uk term. In that it was open to the elements and didn’t feel like a proper hotel room. Especially for the price. I stayed in the six senses in Koh Samui and it is virtually identical on its layout and design. I’m sorry but it’s not for me at all with all the mosquitoes and bugs and I shan’t be coming back. The staff however were great.
Very nice hotel. A lot of misquotes
This is my favorite resort I’ve ever stayed at. The location and accommodations are beautiful, the food is delicious and the staff is wonderful. They also provide add ons which are amazing, the spa experience was very nice, and the staff took us by long tail boat to a number of different places around the island to explore. We will come back for sure the next time we are visiting Phi Phi Don!
Beautiful property with amazing staff. The food was great and the view is stunning.
Great staff, nice hotel and beach. Food was great.
Beautiful place and top notch staff. Turn down service left dirty sheets on bed "mosquito trauma" and had to strip my own bed to get fresh ones. Mosquito spraying three times a week by poor staff member with no PPE. Gorgeous otherwise and staff attentiveness was very good.
staff was exceptional
Beautiful and clean place
Great staff and lovely eco-setting. Terrific for a couple. Found the staff much more friendly than on nearby Krabi and the tourists were much cooler too. A slower pace of life than on the mainland.
A rustic retreat in an idyllic beach. Great food , exemplary service and comfortable rooms . Shoes prohibited! An easy place to relax
Great stay from arrival to departure. We were nicely welcomed at the Royal Phuket Marina by David, the lovely front of the house manager. Check-in was done at the Marina, very smooth, and we got our room straight away upon arrival on the island. Everything is perfectly organised, the hotel staff is extremely nice, efficient and very helpful. We were upgraded to a Garden room nestled in the jungle up the hill, which was very spacious and quiet, we enjoyed it a lot. Gabby the activities manager was also very attentive to our needs and made plenty of valuable recommendations throughout our stay ;-) ! We really recommend Zeavola to people who want to relax in a small, beautiful place, barefooted in the sand.
The place is amazing. For us the only negative was the outdoor commute to the restroom and the bugs.
This place was not what we were expecting. There was blood on the comforter, the doors were locked with padlocks and didn’t feel safe, the a/c didn’t work at night, the bathroom was an outhouse. Not what we expected. We didn’t stay our second night because we couldn’t handle staying here any longer.
Most amazing resort I have ever stayed at! The attention to detail was wonderful there were always small touches and additional services / amenities that we didn’t expect. Beautiful beyond words, well managed and really warm and welcoming staff. Breakfast buffet was also to die for!! Thanks so much for making our honeymoon such a great time to remember!
Excellent welcome by staff especiallyby Ms. NOK AT RECEPTIIN
The staff is amazing and it's such a unique resort experience! Jungle yet beachy.
Lovely hotel and beach. Not so many dining options but still very beautiful spot.
Zeavola is a tranquil and beautiful retreat. The amenities are good and most of the staff were friendly and helpful, particularly in helping us to celebrate our birthdays. The location is very remote and secluded so be prepared to deal with bugs and insects. In saying this, the hotel was quite proactive with dealing with insects such as the mosquitoes. One really disappointing factor was the way the reception staff dealt with my queries regarding an upgrade. Despite the hotel being relatively quiet owing to the Covid-19 outbreak, the staff refused to price match the quotes found with my same booking agent for slightly bigger accomodation. Further, in arranging our transfers, the hotel (despite numerous email exchanges) failed to inform us that the closest pier to their hotel was Laem Tong (as opposed to Tonsai Pier). If the agent whom we booked our ferries through did not inform us of this, we would have incurred additional costs for transfers from Tonsai, when Laem Tong is literally at the back of their hotel. Overall we had a pleasant stay.
We had pool villa #1. Our stay was amazing from start to finish. It was the perfect way to spend the last four days of a two week visit to Thailand. If you are looking for a beautiful and peaceful beach Zeavola is for you. Also the food is incredible.
It's lovely, but pricey and somewhat isolating with not many options apart from the resort's restaurant.
Simply amazing everything about this place!!! Very quiet and peaceful place.
This resort is simple but elegant. The food was great and the beach was wonderful. This barefoot resort was a great experience. We stayed in the Garden Suites and the rooms were very nice. It is very different from the average resort but it was great waking up the sounds of the jungle.
We could not recommend this place highly enough! We stayed there for five days and it was five days in paradise. The rooms where lovely and you had lots of privacy. Everything has been thought of by the resort - including a tap for safe drinking water. The beach is beautifully maintained and the restaurant looks out onto the sea with a spectacular view of the moon. The food was excellent as was the food down the beach at local restaurants. It was quiet and relaxing, not a party location but a place for relaxing and exploring the gorgeous nature Phi Phi has to offer. There are a lot of bugs which didn’t bother us in the slightest we enjoyed watching the dragonflies and other creatures. Would recommend!
The property was extremely unique and a true 5 star experience.
The staff were all very friendly and would help you when ever needed. I loved how they seemed to pop up everywhere even when in the major town you would see staff and be able to ask for advice. They always greeted you with a smile.
Loved our stay! Even in the low season, the staff were extremely accommodating about arranging trips and excursions. Will definitely be back!
Excellent service. Every detail was attended to. I took the PADI Open Water Diving Certification Course during my stay and it was amazing. Great instruction. Great staff.
A little piece of paradise on earth. Amazing experience
Superb hotel with great staff and service.
