Hotel Indigo El Paso Downtown by IHG

This review is focused on the restaurant and the bar area near the pool. The hotel was fine. Very clean and the youn man checking us in was very accommodating and friendly. I wish I could remember his name although, I do remember he was a Cowboys fan. The manager of the restaurant ( I think Susan) could not have been more impressive. It was clear to see the pride in her work place. She was attentive to the guests, had a wonderful rapport with her team and never stopped looking for an opportunity to help where she could. I saw her remove plates, mix drinks, coach a food preparer and seat people. She was quite impressive. We asked her for a recommendation for an after dinner cocktail? She recommended we go upstairs. There we met a young woman (Deandra, I think was her name,) she could not have been better. We were treated with a friendly and welcoming attitude. She gave us recommendations on drinks, gave us some great ideas about what to do in El Paso and checked on us the exact right amount of times. It was obvious she takes great pride in her job and her performance. She waited at our table until we took our first sip to make sure it was what we had expected. It is so refreshing to see employees take such pride and have such passion for their profession. All three of these employees made our trip to El Paso extra special. I want to thank them and congratulate the person that hired them, and the GM. The three people we met on this team were all exceptional. Thank you.

Beautiful view from the very nice pool. Very good service from valet parking area to front desk, and on to the room with our luggage! Very friendly and helpful valet.

Our last morning at the beautiful pool was very disturbed by a very loud power-wash of the adjoining area to the pool that went on for about a half hour. It seems the loud sound of the pressure wash motor could be replaced, or the hour for the cleaning could be much earlier in the morning

I have been trying to contact a manager to resolve my week long stay missing IHG points. They keep saying waiting on a Manager to approve. And when IHG called them, front desk said I was never there. Ummm I have an invoice including the charge on my corporate’s card. What is this… Twilight Zone

Staff were exceptional

Everything but the staff. Run down, dirty showers. Definitely needs some updating.

Clean & staff were friendly & efficient. I was in town for the BTS concert and everything in the hotel was BTS themed; from the decorations to welcome gift packs, and the menu & drinks. Loved it!!

We stayed here for an event at the convention center. The location was perfect for the short walk to the center daily. The vibe of the hotel is very quaint and we would definitely stay here again. We enjoyed the heated pool and soaked up some sun in a cabana. Had Mamacitas for breakfast and it was delicious (churro waffles)! Valet parking was affordable and Hector was especially helpful on our last day. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

I texted front desk at 2 in the morning that the room next to me was playing loud music. It was immediately addressed by staff and the loud music ceased. I was impressed and very grateful for the swift response

Great location right in central downtown El Paso. Easy to walk most places in the downtown, including the pedestrian bridge to Juarez. The hotel is very modern and comfortable.

This place is very poorly managed. Checking in at 4PM on a Saturday with my wife who is 7 months pregnant. Huge line because there is only person checking people in. They say they only have rooms available above the pool which is very loud. Music til 12:45, then starts blasting again at 7 AM. The pool are they have where the party is, is pathetic. There is no party, just 11 losers with music blasting. Decide if you are a hotel a pathetic boomer party place. Avoid at all costs. Never good when the crowd you draw requires armed security.

Brianna at the Front Desk was absolutely phenomenal and made my check in process speedy fun and personal. Could not have asked for more if I wanted to.

Have stayed before but it has been a few years; never with an experience like this check in staff girl was unwelcoming and the room smelled of urine. We decided to leave. Figured complaining would do no good.

The funny thing is, quite a few things went wrong during our stay. But thanks to the help of William, Tiffany, Dave, and Diego, among others, we got a great room where everything worked perfectly. Thanks in part to them, we had a wonderful time in the vibrant city of El Paso and booked an extra night.

A stay without setbacks is, of course, more enjoyable. But as mentioned above, we have fond memories of Hotel Indigo.

Had to move from the first room , has a very odd smell. Front desk was very helpful. For the entire stay only got room cleaned once and I had to asked, they mentioned they were backed up. Not happy about that.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Indigo! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The restaurant Mamaítas was amazing the food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The hotel itself has great views and a relaxing atmosphere that made our visit even better. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!

We were in town just for the day. I’ve been wanting to stay at this hotel for a while and this was a perfect opportunity. The pool looked so great and the restaurant and bar looked so fun. Next time I will stay at least a couple of days to enjoy everything the hotel has to offer.

Loved the bar and the outdoor area on the fifth floor. Nicely decorated rooms and comfortable bed. Only hiccup is giving us the incorrect room and floor…our room was 1016 in the system but we were handed keys to room 1106. Bfast vouchers were perfect

I spent two weeks at the Hotel Indigo for work. Hector, William, the maintenance gentleman, and all the concierge staff were amazing! I will Definitely be back.

We were supposed to have a court hearing, but it was canceled. We called to the hotel for changing the date but, anyone didn’t answer us just they said, we should do online on site unfortunately we couldn’t change online too.

The Air con is too high of the ground and doesn't provide enough cold air to circulate. Some better pillows please, way to soft.

Friday and Saturday they have a live DJ that is loud and goes kind of late. But it’s a good DJ. You just can’t take a disco nap before going out. Or just have ear plugs.

clean room, nice pool however rooms don’t have microwaves/fridges, there was only room temp water to shower, and the a/c rlly didn’t cool down too much

The rooms are quite nice, I love a soft king size bed!!! The TV remote not working properly, had to turn it on by finding the switch on the TV, maybe new batteries needed (should be checked regularly) They also need suitcase stands. Love the pool but starting to look its age, the cabanas definitely in need of a good refresh and the chairs are quite faded!!! The price of sinus from the bar, kinda pricey!!! Where were the happy hour prices!!! Not here!!! Overall, a good time, but starting to look a bit dated, refresh needed!!!! I’d give it a 3.5 out of 5

The music was loud in the pool area starting at 10am. I think it’s a weekend thing. I was on the top floor and could still really feel the bass.

It’s was not a very good experience. Room temperature was hot AC not working was only offered a fan to “help” cool room down. and no manager on duty and was only available on Saturday after 3pm will not recommend this Hotel to anyone

The one downside was the location - it’s downtown but I would have liked better restaurant options right nearby. I walked to a great taco place, but it was a significant walk.

I had an excellent time here came here for a business. The hotel is very clean. Valet is very quick! The bartender is here extremely friendly alongside with excellent service honestly one of the better hotels I’ve ever been in everybody here is very kind and respectful. Coworkers seem to work together very well like a family keeping up with a hotel. It’s close to downtown so you can always catch up to the closest events bars food and if you don’t wanna step too far away from your hotel room, there is always some kind of event downstairs on the fifth floor waiting for you to indulge in a Moscow mule or two.
