Wifi - internet We konden om 5 uur geen koffie meer krijgen, de machine lag al af...

Zeer vriendelijk en professioneel personeel. Alles netjes. Keurig geregeld, bij vragen wordt t gelijk gefixt. De douchkraan moet je even leren kennen. 1 kamer was met 37 graden wat warm, dus omgeboekt naar de coole vleugel. We zijn 2 nachten terug gegaan zelfs, dus totaal 4 nachten geweest bij tropische temperaturen. Restaurant ook zeer goed met ontbijt en diner. Pub voor de locals. Super centraal als je naar oxford of londen wilt , de trein zit ernaast. Rustige kamers. Geen lawaai. Mooie omgeving ook om te wandelen. Uitstapje naar cotswold ook leuk, en dichtbij is odiham castel aan te raden.

Fantastic hotel to stay in! The room and bathroom I had were both perfect. The bed was comfortable. I was a solo traveller and felt very comfortable and safe here. Enjoyed exiting the hotel to take the few steps to their pub which is large and pleasant with two pool tables and a dart board. Also live music on the Saturday night. The pub is where the breakfast is in the mornings and I had a full English which was very tasty! As part of purchasing a cooked breakfast you get unlimited access to the continental options which was great. Also because the pub is a separate building to the hotel then it is very quiet and peaceful at night. It’s also located easily close to the train station and has a pretty huge car park. The wifi was fast and reliable. I will happily be back :)

Bar and food shut. Unfortunately due to a stroke, we chose the Raven so we did not have to go out and look for food As I am unable to walk far the places we were told to eat was too far for me to walk, meaning we had too drive to get food which is not what we wanted. Annoying part was we did not get an email u till around 11.30 the morning of Travel, by that time we where on the road and gone past the time too cancel and find another room.

The rooms very clean, The bedding was very clean and bed was very comfortable. The location for us was perfect, we wanted to be in Southampton the next morning. We were able to charge our car at a reasonable cost. The breakfast was excellent. A very good selection and freshly cooked. Wanted to give it 10 stars as the staff were lovely but it was just lacking on a couple of things.

It’s a shame but the reception was in need of a good clean and makeover. I did have to call a couple of times for someone to sort out the room key. The lady that came did apologise and said they were short staffed. The room it self had a very strong smell of air freshener, we thought it was trying to mask a smell of cigarettes 🤷‍♀️.I didn’t complain as I thought for what we paid it was reasonable.

there was black mold in the bathroom the carpet was worn through, the bed sheets had holes in them and we asked for rooms together which we was told they can accomodate and they weren't, the place is very under staffed it seemed the hotel wasn't looked after

Great location with local amenities

Grumpy receptionist on arrival, venting about the staff, I found this unwelcoming, uncomfortable and unprofessional. Her overall attitude wasn’t what I needed on arrival! I could hear a lot of noise coming from other rooms, and loud talking in the early hours.

Efficient and friendly check-in. Very convenient for the railway station.

Not that it made any difference to my stay but the letters missing from the "Raven" logo on the front of the building (a bit like the sign at the start of an episode of Fawlty Towers) make it look a bit 'run down' - which it isn't!

The staff were very welcoming & helpful. The room was very clean & had nearly everything we needed (no tea bags) but the bed was comfy & a great shower. The room was great value for the money. The hotel location was perfect for us to park & get the train direct into London. We had our evening meal in the restaurant & it was spot on good olde traditional food. Would highly recommend & will be our first choice if we need to go back to London. Thank you for a smooth & pleasant stay!

Bikes were outside and not ideal if it rained. A bit nervous about security as the gate was not locked.

There were big delays in the breakfast service for our group of 4. Chef didn’t seem to cope with more than 2 orders at once. Exact same issue for dinner the evening before as well. One order was also wrong & the waitress did not cope well with it or communicate the solution

Nice location and facilities available nearby. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Food available in the pub next door, friendly service.

Bathroom needs painting (ceiling especially) and bringing up to a better standard, scalding hot water,(temperature should be significantly reduced to prevent burning or scalding yourself), shower head needs descaling badly, sink plug hole not very nice with hair and unpleasantness and smell, reception area needs painting and upgrading, outside reception needs better presentation, weeds and litter ruin the appearance and shabby paintwork. Bed far too soft, needs a medium mattress, uncomfortable sleep due to bad back. Asked for a rubber bath mat as the bath was very slippery, no grab handles anywhere to get in and out of the bath or shower in case of slipping etc Little improvements here and there could make this hotel a much nicer experience!!! Attention to detail - particularly in the bathroom and cleaning. Short staffed, no-one on reception the majority of the time during the stay, had to call the pub next door to request checking in and for additional items, But were dealt with quickly.

Nice location - felt quiet and peaceful. Room was generally clean but let down by the mould round the bath.

The restaurant felt a bit grubby at breakfast - tables sticky and crumbs on the tables and floors. Breakfast was a bit of a letdown. The sourdough bread sounded good but was very tough. The poached eggs were either over or under done (one of each on my plate). The tea and coffee were not good (coffee in particular was stewed).

Very good location, easily to find from the M3. Large car park. I was made to feel very welcome even when arriving late in the evening. All staff were fantastic, both when I arrived and the following morning, not a grumpy face to be seen. Spacious room, spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds. Very good quality breakfast.

We wilden een omboekingpersoneel hielp heel vriendelijk mee voor een andere kamer. Alles aanwezig en netjes. Lekkere bedden. Ventilator op elke kamer. 2 nachten geweest en we hebben bijgeboekt voor weer 2 nachten. Je bent met een uur in londen vanaf het hotel. Ideaal. Het treinstation is er naast. Al hoor je ze niet s nachts. Fijn terras.

Locaton was good, close to the station and very convenient.

Quite a run down hotel, no cold water from the tap was abysmal. Bad smell throughout the lobby, very basic room, no bottles water, uncomfortable pillows. Similar complaints to over reviews, same running theme that the hotel has seen better days.

Location suited, staff pleasant

Outdated, senior management need to visit and stay, required complete modernising, holes in carpets, dead flies on window sill in dining area extremely hot despite fan, rough repairs, insect trap in bottom of wardrobe, no other meals available in dining area due to lack of staff, definitely not like the photos advertised. One light didnt work, part of tap had fallen into plug in the bath,mis matched tiles. Headboard had lots of material missing/falling apart.

Nikki Clark, the relief manager was so welcoming, nothing was too much trouble for her, and would live to see her if she pops up north sometime. All the staff were very friendly also, and hotel was literally 100m away from train station, so location was excellent for visiting with my son at raf odiham. Bath in the room as well as shower. TV, wardrobe, really comfy bed.

There was a lot of steps to our rooms, next time I will request ground floor rooms.

It was clean and tidy good value for money. The staff were polite and helpful (big shout out to Nicki who went above and beyond to be helpful) hence the reason we have booked to stay again in a weeks time.

The ladies that looked after us were amazing. So attentive and kind. Attention to detail. Breakfast and evening meal were delicious. Fan kept us cool.

The hotel is great. minutes from train station, the beds are lovely and comfy. TV in every room, and a bath also I both rooms I've stayed. Staff are very friendly, and the pub is steps away, open for breakfast as well. Kettle is in the room with ample tea and coffee. TOiletries in bathroom.

There are stairs everywhere, so not good for limited mobility.

The fact that I had to climb 48 stairs to my room carrying bags 😳 was unbelievable without any prior notice , I said this to the guy on reception that you need to warn people? No reply at all . He didn’t even acknowledge me on check out and I’d already mentioned this on arrival ! I wasn’t offered an alternative room ? How do you have 6 coffee sachets and 6 tea bags and you only have four milks 🤔 I never saw a member of staff at reception apart from check in and check out ! He still didn’t speak to me ? I had to ask the little chef to get me more milk and every day I bought fresh in ! The rooms are so tired it’s unbelievable this hotel is still running , and I will never stay there again !

Voor een geplande bike packing gravel tocht een goede locatie. We konden onze auto een week bij het hotel parkeren. Receptioniste was zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam!

Er was geen airco in de kamers, alleen bij de receptie. Ook is het ontbijt traag, gaat pas om 8.00 open en het duurde 25 min voor het klaar was. Buffet is te beperkt.

It’s a long way up lots of stairs to the rooms

The location is very good. The room was very clean and a good size, with an en suite bathroom. Bed was comfortable. Parking for the guests for free. There were also a kettle, cups, plus coffee and tea bags, which I really appreciated. In addition, a very good-sized TV and a fan to cool down the room as the weather was quite warm. Overall, it was a very nice stay.

It was very quiet and the fan in the room was good.

The bed was far too soft. Wallpaper was peeling off in the centre of the room. The TV was a nice size but I could only watch BBC as there wasn't enough of a wifi signal to tune it to anything else. I tried using my phone as a mobile hotspot but couldn't connect the tv to my phone.

This hotel was booked for a one night stay as attending a wedding in the local area. Reception area could do with a bit of an update/refurb for better first impressions but our room was fully functional, had tea and coffee making facilities, iron and board, hairdryer. It was clean, with a very comfy bed so ticked the boxes on what was required for us that evening.

Soundproofing isn't great.

We have used Raven Hotel several times before and find it excellent value for money. Rooms, bed linen and towels spotless. We always feel that we are made welcome on each visit. Parking excellent and safe. Staff very friendly. Breakfast more than adequate with good choice in food.

Lack of attention from staff. Rudeness. Failure to take customer comment in good faith. Surliness is not a god trait for customer facing personnel. Breakfast menu didn't resemble what was delivered.

Good location within walking distance of the train station at Hook and close to Tescos and Boots. Breakfast staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfasts are very good. Clean rooms.

The rooms have been refurbished since we last stayed and are better, but feel a bit cramped and have low ceilings. The end result is not a big upgrade. The whole property has an air of lack of maintenance. On our last day in one of our rooms the bath tap would not turn off and would not divert to the shower function. The person on site was able to turn it down but not off and had to get it taken care of after we left.

Breakfast cooked and served to my satisfaction. Room immaculate but I needed walk-in shower (mentally and physically disabled). Bed very comfortable.

No fridge, no disability room, accessibility toilet void of any decor! Main food menu lacked lustre!

Fawlty Towers. Each section of the hotel we trudged through to get to our room smelt like something weird and different…mould, sprouts, bananas (?!)…shabby, run down. Holes in the carpet, mould in the bathroom. Absolutely miles to the room from the reception. Reception area completely run down with dripping air con. Greene King you need to close this hotel and keep the pub. Staff need to iron their shirts…(a silly thing…).Also unbelievably ridiculous price. We knew from the start it would be bad…reception and a real key 🤣🤣

I have stayed at the hotel 4 times now, Staff are always friendly. Convenient location for train into London.

The rooms are dated, some have a damp aroma, although no visible signs of it. No aircon which made room stuffy and hot this weekend as temps hit 32 degress. A normal standard table fan was in the room but made no difference.

The price fluctuation for rooms ... it happens everywhere not just the raven . Keep them same price per room per night . I.e £50/60 70 . Then we sll know where we stand
