Que te cobraran las tasas por utilizar el spa, cuando no lo utilizamos. Deberían cobrar si haces uso de ello

View was amazing. Room was large and comfortable. Breakfast superb. Onsen delicious.

Staff were inflexible on the check-in time. We had to wait until exactly 3pm even though the room was ready earlier and we had been waiting quite a few hours.

Hospitality & service: they charged extra for everything. It was my husbands birthday and I ordered cake and flowers. But we did not get anything special from the hotel, like a complementary drink or something. On the last day my husband was ill, so I asked for a late checkout. They made us pay over 2000 yen for one hour later. Breakfast has the same options everyday. And the decor of the hotel is pretty much outdated. Food is pricey too, but there are some restaurants nearby.

Awesome view of the lake and, if not cloudy, on Fuji mountain too. Eccellente onsen online.

L'hôtel est très bien, les chambres très spacieuses et avec une vue exceptionnelle. Le personnel a était excessivement aimable. Le petit déjeuner au top!

La vista del lago y del monte Fuji desde las habitaciones es espectacular. Además, es un verdadero placer relajarse y disfrutar de un baño en sus aguas termales.

En general, es un excelente hotel. Sin embargo, considerando el precio, sentimos que el desayuno del comedor quedó un poco por debajo de nuestras expectativas.

歴史があるホテルですがやはり室内の壁紙や床、家具の種類や古さアンバランスを感じた。

Die wunderbare Lage und der tolle Ausblick auf den See mit Blick auf die Spitze des Mount Fuji. Nach vier Tagen Tokio haben wir uns sehr über die Ruhe und die schöne Landschaft und die tolle Ausstattung gefreut. Inseln auch sehr schön (es gibt zwei, mit Seeblick). Tolles Frühstücksbuffet. Es gibt auch vieles für Europäer, nicht nur Ryokan.

L’hôtel est parfaitement situé avec une vue incroyable sur le Lac Ashi et le haut du Fuji. Les chambres sont grandes, bien équipées et très confortables. Nous avons adoré notre séjour sur Hakone.

La clim fait pas mal de bruit la nuit c’est le seul point qui est un peu dommage.

La ubicación es excelente para poder aprovechar alguna de las pocas ocasiones que el monte Fuji se deja ver!! Nosotros lo conseguimos!!!

This hotel is an interesting one. We were there on a couple of cloudy days so no views of Mt Fuji. It is wonderfully located on the lake shore, next to the ferry/pirate ship pier. The rooms are absolutely spacious even for western standards. They could use a spruce up but everything was clean. The spa is a nice addition but nothing special. Breakfast is nice with plenty of western and Japanese/asian options. Hotel can be easily reached by bus. The architecture of the hotel is also quite interesting and I find it appealing. Too bad that it is no similar in the rooms itself.

This part of Hakone basically shutdown after 4 pm and very few options to eat nearby after 6pm. The hotel restaurant is just too expensive certainly the teppanyaki. I really wanted to like this hotel more than I ultimately did. Maybe if the weather was better I would have a better impression.

Absolutely everything, the room was spacious, the breakfast options to suit everyone’s needs. The staff friendly, helpful, and gracious.

L’emplacement est top avec vue sur le lac et juste à côté de l’embarcadère pour la croisière sur le lac. La chambre était grande et confortable avec vue sur le lac. Le petit déjeuner sous forme de buffet était copieux et varié.

Le hall de la réception était un peu froid et austère. Le personnel de la réception n’a pas été tres à l’écoute pour nous aider à louer des vélos . Je dirai que l’ambiance était un peu froide..mais c’était quand même un bon hôtel.

The room was huge. It had a magnificent view. The downstairs lounge was wonderful to unwind in with all sorts of hot/cold and soft drinks. The hotel is quite grand but in an understated way. Enjoyed the onsen. Very conveniently located for the Pirate Ship across Lake Ashi. Was much easier to get to than I thought it would be.From Hakone Yumoto Station, take the Hakone Tozan Bus for about 40 minutes and get off at Hakone Hotel. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel. Also there is room at the front of the bus for luggage- as long as it is not too big.

The shower was big but the shower had a tiled rim. When showering the tiled landing/lip would fill up with water and spill on the floor. The bath mat would get drenched.

Tolle Lage, sehr gepflegtes traditionsreiches Hotel mit hohem Sauberkeitsstandard. Wir haben keinerlei Abnutzungs- Spuren gesehen. Das Personal war überaus hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns sehr gut entspannen können und wären gerne länger geblieben.

Emplacement exceptionnel, chambre fantastique !

Prachtige locatie vlakbij het meer. Zeer ruime (ietwat verouderde) kamers. Zeer rustige omgeving, ideaal om de Detoxen van het drukke Tokyo. Onsen zijn aanwezig in het hotel (geen tattoo's toegelaten)

Receptie was wat "stijf" met bepaalde vragen. Laat incheck uur (15u). We vroegen om een taxi te boeken voor de volgende ochtend, maatschappij werd gebeld, die hadden het te druk. Er werd gemeld : bel zelf een Uber. We wisten niet dat daags nadien een feestdag was en Taxi's of Ubers schaars waren. Resultaat, met de bus naar Odawara station en Shinkansen gemist. Had men ons meteen geïnformeerd, dan hadden we dit eerder kunnen organiseren.

Bra tider för onsen. Bra frukost. Man kunde se Fuji Mt från flera vinklar på hotellet.

Everything. Room was comfortable and huge, staff were very friendly, having access to complimentary soft and hot drinks was more than we expected and buffet breakfast was one of the best we’ve ever had. The huge bath in the room was absolutely lovely and the small onsen’s on 3rd 4th floor were open late hours and quiet when we used them. We slept great here, used Pam’s restaurant next door for Mediterranean food and the bus service (which stops right outside the hotel) to get to Moto-Hakone and other parts of Hakone. To top it off, the sight-seeing cruise starts right outside which is included on the Hakone freepass (highly recommend getting) and can be used as a mode of transport also

Nothing bad to say about this property. We paid extra for the lake view room which with hindsight we mightn’t have done next time given we went in July so there was a lot of clouds, no visibility to Mt Fugi and during a typhoon- no fault of the hotels just book wisely

It was close to everything, restaurants just a walk away from the hotel, we liked the view from our room,staff were so kind and accomodating

View, greenery, cleanliness, room size, politeness of the employees, helpful nature of employees...Everything was fantastic...will surely stay again here if we are in Hakone

Ausgezeichnetes Hotel direkt am See, wir hatten ein sehr geräumiges Zimmer mit Balkon und Seeblick. Hoher Komfort, guter Service, freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Das im Hotel befindliche Restaurant bietet französische Küche von hoher Qualität. Sehr gutes Frühstück.

You really can't beat the location of the Hakone Hotel—right on Lake Ashi with incredible views . We only stayed one night, and honestly, the scenery alone made it worth it . That said, the hotel feels quite old-fashioned. Our room had dusty carpets and the bed was on the firmer side, not the most comfortable . We didn't spend much time in the room anyway, as we were out exploring and enjoying the onsen . If you're looking for modern luxury, this isn't it, but if you want a classic lakeside stay with great views and don't mind some wear and tear, it does the job for a night

Friendly and helpful service from all the staff we encountered. Clean hotel with great views of the lake and mountains (tip of Mt Fuji too if you're lucky like us). Comfortable, spacious, clean rooms with tea and coffee famcilities. The hotel also has onsens that are well maintained. Close to port for sightseeing cruise and has a Tozan bus stop outside the hotel.

Shower is a bit moldy looking in grout. A bit outdated. Layout has an odd set up. Steps and specific onsen day or afternoon.

Well kept property despite its age. Comfortable beds and nice facilities. Great location from Motohakone, either a short bus ride or walk to the Hakone Shrine. Beautiful Onsen to relax in overlooking the lake!

Spacious room & bathroom. We had a nice lake view with the top of Fuji Mount in the background. The breakfast was very good with a lot of options. Very convenient location for visiting the maine attractions.

When using the shower bathroom floor would get soaked.

The room was great, big window and right in from of the lake. Fantastic view.

If there was an indoor pool, it would have been even more great. But still, fantastic facility.

大浴場はきもちよかったのですが、窓が開けられず露天ぽく入ることができなかったのが残念。実際は「開けたら出る時に閉めてね」という看板があったのですが、開けるとガラスがミラーリングされなくなり同階の部屋から見えるのでは⁉︎と不安で開けられませんでした。

A superb hotel with friendly staff in an amazing location with incredible views. Absolutely wonderful place to visit in a stunning part of the world.

Food in the restaurants wasn't great. Breakfast was good but the evening meals were a bit poor when compared to the quality of the hotel itself.

This is a beautiful hotel, located in a beautiful area. The check-in was seamless, and the team assisting us were welcoming and shared all necessary informations. It's a peaceful space, we enjoyed the gardens and restaurants (appreciated the guest foyer that had beverages available). They are strict with the enforcement of not allowing tattoos in the onsens, and had limited stickers to cover up with, there isn't a space nearby to purchase, so I suggest you bring along (if you need them). Overall a great stay, and would definitely come back.

Virkelig en dejlig beliggenhed og god atmosfære på hotellet. Fine værelse med udsigt. God morgenmad og baren er verdensklasse med udsigt til Mount Fuji.

Vi spiste i Teppanyaki/Yamazakura. Selve rummet var uinspirerende og desværre kunne kokken ikke tale engelsk og tjeneren talte meget dårlig engelsk, så vi fik ikke rigtig at vide hvad vi spiste. Maden var god.

1) Our room was large, well appointed and had a great view! 2) Location, Location, Location! Right on the lake ---> next to the Pirate Ship dock ---> near restaurants and a short walk to the Torii Gate and Shrine. 3) The "Hakone Loop" tour (Pirate Ship, Ropeway, Cable Car, Bus) was great ---> We were lucky that Mt. Fuji was clearly visible from the hotel and on the loop tour! 4) The hot springs bathes were really soothing and relaxing! 5) The in-house lounge/bar/cafe was convenient and served tasty snacks.

Since Mt. Fuji is sometimes visible from the 4th floor bathes in the morning, it would be better to switch the hot springs schedule daily: Day 1 Morning: 4th Floor - Men; 3rd Floor - Women Day 1 Evening: 4th Floor - Women; 3rd Floor - Men Day 2 Morning: 4th Floor - Women; 3rd Floor - Men Day 2 Evening: 4th Floor - Men; 3rd Floor - Women

Amazing Breakfast

Todo, increíble. Veníamos de visitar non stop en Kioto y estábamos agotados. Nos vino genial hacer un parón en Hakone y sobre todo, en este hotel. Está ubicado en un lugar precioso y muy relajante. Las habitaciones son una pasada (sobre todo teniendo en cuenta que en Japón son enanas)

Le restaurant français est excellent mais un peu cher (140€ à deux avec un apéritif, sans vin pour le menu de base...)

Dobra lokalizacja ze względu na widok i dostęp atrakcji, chociaż dojazd z pociągu trochę zajmuję. Duży pokój z pięknym widokiem. Wygodne łóżka. Onsen w hotelu.

Hotel zatrzymał się w czasie dobre kilkadziesiąt lat temu. Armatura w łazience jest stara i skamieniała, po meblach widać ząb czasu. Wanna chociaż duża to bardzo niewygodna przy wchodzeniu czy myciu samej głowy przez dużą zabudowę. Część personelu kompletnie nie zna angielskiego, co przy takim standardzie hotelu nie powinno być dopuszczalne. Bardzo niski standard śniadań - przypominają bardziej stołówkowy bufet, a nie hotel 4 gwiazdowy. Zamiast masła - margaryna, jajka sadzone zaparzone na twardo w pojemnikach, zamiast świeże, owoce pokrojone w wielkie, nierówne kawałki, przy czym większość z puszki.

Beautiful views of Lake Ashi and Mt Fuji on a clear day. A short walk to a beautiful observatory to get a better view too. Large rooms, which is a luxury in Japan. Welcome drink at the bar is a nice touch. Good breakfast.

There’s not a lot in the area. Nearest convenience store is a 20 min walk and local restaurants are nice but shut early. This is all fine if you plan in advance.

Rooms are old and hotel needs renovation. If you stayed in newer hotels this will feel really old. Bathrooms and room furniture are from many years ago. As soon as you enter the room it smells like shoe rack.

The room was hot for sleeping

Fantastic view over Lake Ashi and when clear could see Mt. Fuji from our room. Very comfortable, friendly staff, peaceful location, nice breakfast and good food options within the hotel. There are also a few restaurants within walking distance with good food. Note that the area is quiet at night as you are away from the city. We rented a car from a nearby train station and it was great exploring the area, however there are some buses and Uber / taxi may also be available. There is ample parking available and you can take the "pirate ship" right outside the hotel.

The room was huge with an exceptional view down the lake - we could see Mt Fuji on clear days. The beds were comfy. Every convenience provided in the room. We were offered welcome drinks each evening and there was a tea/coffee station available throughout the day. The breakfast buffet was very varied and generous - particularly enjoyed the pancake machine! The garden area was nice with hammocks and varied seating to enjoy being outside with a view of the lake. The staff were very friendly and so helpful. The whole building is elegant and has a nice atmosphere. Well-situated next to the ferry (pirate ship) and a bus stop to connect you to the rest of Hakone.

We ate in the hotel restaurant on the first night and it was quite disappointing. We didn't eat in the hotel the rest of our stay. We weren't permitted to use the onsen because we have tattoos. I know this is a cultural difference but it rankles a bit as we pay the same rate as other guests who can enjoy the full use of facilities. The garden area was AstroTurf. It's a very small thing but it seems a shame in an area of such natural beauty to coat the lake-side garden in plastic.

Our room (206) had a horrific strong smell like an old house that had been locked up for decades, or sun burnt plastic. The shower, no matter how careful you are, floods onto the bathroom floor, soaking your foot mat. I am pretty sure these rooms would have to be riddled with mold. Seriously outdated hotel, a little spooky in that sense. The food in the bar was atrocious (duck was like jerky), and the other restaurants extremely expensive for what they serve. The positive about such a terrible room is that it makes you go out and sightsee a lot more, to avoid being there. I advise staying closer to the town, and visiting the lake when you want, everything is much closer to town, especially decent food.

Первое и важное - расположение! с одной стороны отель расположен немного вдали от основного туристического обитания, с другой стороны - в непосредственной близости к озеру (пиратский корабль, обзорные катера) и к автобусным остановкам. Во-вторых, отель - потрясающий! Огромный, великолепный номер с видом на озеро и Фудзи, которую можно увидеть при хорошей погоде. Мы - видели! и восхищались. Фудзи и озером можно любоваться в любую погоду - вид, как живая картина. Прекрасный онсен, он не просто поделен на мужской и женский, в определенные часы посещение меняется для мужчин и женщин. Вы можете купить Hakone Free Pass непосредственно на автовокзале, рядом с отелем, и пользоваться им в течении 2-х или 3-х дней, в зависимости от длительности вашего пребывания. Это крайне удобно!

Можно добавить доставку еды в номер.

The view was amazing, all the staff were wonderful and accomodating. The location is walking distance (in my opinion) from motohakone ko, and the entire area is peaceful. The breakfast was great!

Magnifique hôtel au bord du lac. La vue est somptueuse de la chambre surtout quand on a la chance de voir le Mont fuji au levé du soleil. Moment magique quon n'est pas prêt d'oublier. Petit déjeuner excellent avec beaucoup de choix il y en a pour tous les goûts
