Easy to go around

Stayed in Java Paragon a few times before, but this is the first time I met a staff with a bad attitude. The female FO (whom I won't name here, as I already filed a complaint directly to the hotel staff) wasn't polite or friendly at all. When I checked in with the male FO, I was asking about the 'nobar' event & this female FO beside him just blurted out "with purchase" while still doing her thing. She just said it out loud for me to hear but didn't even bother to look at me, or even say hi & explain it directly. But I was still fine with that. Then the same staff member was ushering a guest to the elevator & got in right after my family. She just barged in without saying hello or even flashing a smile, which was fine at first. But before I had a chance to use my key & press the button for my floor, she forced her way in to press her button first. So I let go of the button & let her go first. Then she asked me which floor I was going to, so I told her because I thought maybe she wanted to help. Instead, she rudely said that my floor required a key & couldn't be accessed without one, then grabbed my key. She didn't use any polite manners or offer to help, she just said it in a rude tone. When I explained that I already knew that & had only let her go first because she forced her way in front of me, she didn't even apologize or say anything. She just smirked and turned away. When the elevator door opened, she got out with the guest and, once again, didn't even acknowledge us as guests, no greetings whatsoever. After that, I went to the reception to ask for her name & again she answered with rude manners. Well, you'd expect a four-star hotel to have four-star hospitality & attitude, but I guess not. Fortunately, there are still many staff here that are very friendly & helpful, like Mr. Dohi the technician & also big thanks to the female staff from Avenue Lounge (I didn't see her name tag) but she was very nice. Thank you

The location is awesome just 10 mins walk to Citraland World (big mall), the room and bathroom is spacious. The room rate is very reasonable, for sure i will come back next time when i am in town.

Suggest to have a flexible shower and life music in the bar😄

This hotel is quite old, but it's well-maintained. The lobby is spacious, luxurious and clean. Check-in was quick, but they should have had previous guests' information, so they wouldn't have asked for ID again. However, they said their database was still being restored, so they needed to re-enter my information. They provided two key cards, which I appreciated, but they didn't provide a welcome drink. When we asked the staff, they said I should have received a welcome drink voucher from the receptionist, but it seems they forgot. When we asked the receptionist, they gave us a voucher for the welcome drink. The room wasn't particularly spacious because it was a superior room, but the AC was very cool and the bathroom was quite spacious. The room had a few issues, such as a broken electric kettle lid and a TV that wouldn't work with the remote or the TV buttons. However, the staff helped us replace the units. The reception staff were very friendly when contacted. The breakfast was varied and delicious. The decor of both The Cafe and The Avenue Lounge Bar was beautiful and luxurious. Overall it was a pleasant stay, with great hospitality and experience.

We have to cancel our breakfast after waiting for 3 hours and after explsining that the ac in our room doesn't want to stop we ask the. Staff to fix it.after all day our ac wasn't fixed

De kamer was niet geheel schoon. De vloer was vies en de vloerbedekking verouderd. Ook het verdere meubilair was verouderd. Ook was de kamer gehorig, waardoor je mensen op de gang hoorde praten en lopen.

A pleasant place with artistic traditional decorations of typical Javanese Culture. The breakfast is filled with various Javanese preparations. The staff are pleasant and helpful. They are stationed at strategic places to guide the guests since this building is also a Residential area.

We stayed at Java Paragon Hotel & Residences for two nights. The lobby also gave a welcoming impression and the location is excellent, close to the shopping mall with several shops, foodcourt and dining. The view from the room was nice on the 16th floor. The air conditioning kept the room comfortably cool, and the Wi-Fi connection was reliable. The swimming pool and sauna were good and well maintained, which added to the overall stay. Overall, it’s a convenient place to stay with nice facilities and a good view, and with a few updates, it could feel even more comfortable.

The bed, however, felt a little small for two persons, and the carpet looked somewhat worn and could benefit from renewal.

Reading system around hotel made getting in and out a hassle. First time in Indonesia I’ve struck reception staff with little or no English. Just saying … and yes I really need to work on my Bahasa.

This used to be a nice hotel 5 years ago managed by a European. Now it has local management. Maintenance and service going down. The bar at the rooftop was closed. The bar downstairs closes at 10 pm ( before it was 12 am if I remember well). At 8.30 pm they already start to put the bottles away. The working space behind the bar is a mess. The carpet in the room has plenty of cigarette spots. Very little water coming out of the tap.

The breakfast is manly suited to locals which I understand. Location was good for me. Rooms are very old and dirty-mouldy bathroom, dirty carpet, small room and old fittings. How you rate this place as 4 star? More like 2 star

The first time I went to Surabaya, I stayed at Java Paragon. In my opinion, the room price is affordable. The room was clean. The facilities were like those of a typical hotel. The service was friendly. The breakfast had a good variety. Its location is also strategic, close to many interesting places in Surabaya.

All the equipment are old. No electricity socket next to our bed. You have to charge your phone using the electricity socket behind the tv.

Java Paragon Hotel & Residence Surabaya is a 4 star hotel situated at Mayjend Sungkono. Beautiful Tower, elegant lobby. room was quite spacious. breakfast was great, with different kinds of dishes. they even had an indomie station when i was there on January. worth the price 💰💰

Noisy traffic, windows not sound proof, apartment carpets and sofa chairs had dirty stains.

Bed and pillows were comfortable. The closest mall is a 5 min walk.

We booked the executive lounge type room. Very disappointed as only soft drinks offered but then when discussed what an executive lounge means they then offered beer and wine but limited to one each. Food was like a high tea tray of sandwich, chicken wings and a couple of cakes. We didn’t use our voucher for the next night. Hotel room carpet was very old. They were having renovations done

I booked a 2 bedroom spartment at Java Paragon Hotel. The photos and reviews looked so good. On arrival we were told that we stayed in another tower then the hotel. The apartment was large, but there was a weird, disgusting smell. The uncomfortable seating area and rug were covered with stains. There was no drinking water. There was a large kitchen, but it was bare. There were 4 cups, plates, forks and spoons. No teaspoons, no knives. On the booking it said that there was free transport shuttle to the airport. Nope. 300.000 rupiah. The swimming pool was not privately located, so we didn't use it. It was a horrible experience. I can't believe I paid NZ$200 for this hovel. We were in Java for 3 weeks in 10 different places with swimming pool and staff and spent less for those amazing accomodations than for this disgusting place. I can't believe Java Paragon Hotel gets so many good reviews. I want my money back!!!
