Hotel Indigo Liverpool by IHG

The hotel was in a great location, close to the waterfront and Albert Dock attractions. The room and its facilities were great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great too (but see below).

Just a couple of very minor things - it would have been good to have a rug on the floor of the room on both sides of the bed, and also the loo's dual flush didn't work. A bog brush would have been useful! The hot food (including porridge) at breakfast, whilst very good, could have been hotter.

We were going not told about parking arrangements with neighbouring NCP carpet as we checked in. Prior notice would have been very helpful. The bathroom had nowhere to place toiletries for 2 people - some form of worktop or useful shelves would have helped. The lights were too dim in the bathroom.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Indigo in Liverpool. The hotel provides an ideal base for exploring the docklands and the city centre. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful, and a delightful complimentary welcome package awaited us in our clean, spacious room. Breakfast was equally wonderful. While on-site parking is unavailable, secure parking is conveniently located nearby at the NCP multi-storey car park, offered at a discounted rate for hotel guests.

Restaurant ran out of Earl grey tea, ham for continental breakfast, yoghurt and fruit compot. Full English was good but the health options were not the best due to missing items.

Lovely welcome on arrival and we were early and our room was ready. The room was lovely very clean and was pleasantly surprised to see we had complimentary bottle of water and crisps and biscuits which was a lovely touch. The location of the hotel is very good to the centre and perfect for the docks. The bed was comfy we had a good sleep. Breakfast was delicious! I liked that we were shown to a table and our order taken for a hot cooked breakfast, you help yourself to coffee and toast. All the staff we interacted with were very friendly, the I bonus is the supplemented parking with the NCP car park. Would highly recommend

The hotel is very tired and needs a refresh . The breakfast had very few healthy options and the quality was just ok. Awful coffee from a machine and lots of pastries !! The hot options are all high fat.

The breakfast each morning had a lot of options. The location was great, we could see the Liver Building and the river from the front of the hotel. Fast walk to the ferries and waterfront. A bit of a walk from the train station, but it was an easy walk.

The bed wasn't as comfortable as we'd hoped, and the room was a little warm. Not sure the AirCon was working properly.

La chambre était silencieuse car donnant sur l'arrière. Pas de vue mais le silence. Et le top du top, le petit-déjeuner! Incroyable! Le notre était inclus dans le prix de la chambre mais vaut largement le coût de se l'offrir. Full cooked English breakfast, choix de cuisson des oeufs, continental, porridge, muesli, fruits, céréales et j'en oublie! Buffet et service à table pour le cooked English.

The location to visit the city was perfect. Breakfast was superb, as were the staff.

Breakfast was good. There was a buffet, and you could get a cooked-to-order breakfast. They even prepared a brown bag "take away" breakfast for us for our early morning departure. Staff was very helpful. The hotel was a short walk from the Mersey ferry, Beatles Story museum, Cavern district and the pedestrian area, and the Moorfields stop on the Merseyrail blue and green lines.

Not much storage. More would be helpful for a stay longer than a couple of days. Don't get the Benedict Florentine for breakfast. The hollandaise is sketchy.

Je voyage souvent au sein des hôtels de la filiale IHG car ce sont toujours des hôtels qui ont des hauts standards de services et de confort ; d’après mon expérience, les Indigo font parti du haut du panier. L’indigo Liverpool n’a pas dérogé à la règle : superbe petit déjeuner, personnel agréable, emplacement impeccable.

Mon plus grand regret (et c’est la première fois que je note cela dans un hôtel Indigo) est l’insonorisation de la chambre. Des portes qui claquent fréquemment tot ou tard le soir ; les voisins qui marchent en talon dans les couloirs ou dans les chambres… on entend tout ; même la télé des voisins, ce qui peut-être vraiment gênant comme lorsqu’ils la laisse allumé jusqu’à 3/4h du matin comme c’est arrivé plusieurs fois. Donc il s’agit d’un point a vraiment améliorer

The hotel was very comfortable & only 2 mins walk from the riverfront & 20 mins walk from the railway station. The staff were very friendly, very helpful & nothing was too much trouble. An excellent choice of both hot & cold breakfast each morning completed a wonderful 3 night stay.

I only liked there my breakfast experience. I stay there because of great location between the train station on one side and ferry terminal on the other side, in-between is city centre

The room was not properly serviced i.e. bar stocked room but no wine glasses, telephone was there but not working. I had to get in touch with the reception via calling from mu mobile. The mattress was not firm and the main reason for staying was as I had a consultation with orthopaedic for my spine stenosis. Some towels missing. Overall I did not had a good sleep. Restaurant service was just ok. I ordered bottle of white wine. It was not cold and place on my table without ice bucket. I had to request for it. I ordered food and the garlic balls were stodgy from inside although I requested them to make sure they are cooked well from inside. I complained and they didn't charge. The overall service in the restaurant was good

All the staff were really friendly & welcoming. The hotel is well located by the docks. The room was lovely, comfy bed & quiet seem as though you are in the city. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of options.

Nothing apart from the smoking area at the front could have benefited from some cover, as all the seats were wet after a light shower.

We stayed here for 3 nights on our first visit to Liverpool and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a nice location , close to the water and handy for Albert Dock , Ferry trips and the Museum. We were checked in quickly and the room had everything we look for - very clean, big enough to move around in, a great shower - hot and powerful- and a decent sized safe. We had read some reviews on the rooms but our room on the first floor was excellent. We had booked breakfast and as others have reviewed you are asked to indicate a time that you will go for breakfast - it was fine for us and it didn’t seem like a rigid time. We read reviews that breakfast could be a challenge but again we found it very good. We were there Sat - Tues for the Liverpool game and we had no problem getting a table around 8am and never saw anyone having to wait for a table. The food was pretty good - cooked breakfasts were easy to order and a wide range of fruits, cereals, pastries etc and decent coffee machines ticked all the boxes for us and the staff were really friendly and helpful. They always ask about allergies - which is a good sign. We don’t have any but have a friend who has to be very careful so I always note when it’s done well. We like Indigo and the way they blend a bit of local character in the different locations and would recommend this hotel and if we return to Liverpool then happy to go back.

Just had a very nice 2 night stay here. Check in was very professional and polite, the receptionist was lovely and gave us some good tips for getting about the area. The room was clean and functional and included a complimentary mini bar with beer, wine and pop. Breakfast was also good, you can can order from the menu and it was freshly cooked using quality ingredients. There are a few pubs and places to eat within easy walking distance. The river front is about 5 minutes walk as is Moorfields station. We have stayed in Liverpool many times in the last few years and the Indigo is by far the best hotel we have stayed at. Top marks all round.

Great location, lovely staff, fab sized premium twin, lovely decor, convenient discounted parking around the corner.

Despite arriving for breakfast at 9.45 (it closes at 10.30), there were no croissants, pain au chocolats or mushrooms left. Staff were apologetic but it felt a bit early to be running out. The other breakfast items were good quality though.

It was one of the best hotels we've stayed in. The staff were very helpful, and the food was really good.This was great for our location, close to all amenities, docks, the city center and night life. There's soooo much to see and do that we intend to go back to explore more of the beautiful city.

There was nothing we didn't like. The hotel was clean, the staff were really friendly. They even booked us a taxi to get to a gig in Sefton park.

Location was amazing and easiness to check in and out. The cleaners were very friendly.

There was duck tape holding on the bathroom tile panels behind the toilet. Leading up to the room there were stains on the carpet also and stain on our bedroom curtains. This seemed not that good for the price of the stay also.

The property was inviting and well appointed. The location was fabulous, right in the centre and close to everything. The staff were friendly and warm and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were airy, really comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was plentiful with a great range of choice and a large selection to choose from. The restaurant had a small menu but was delicious. The hotel was air conditioned throughout which was most welcome in the heatwave. Cannot say anything bad about this property. I would definitely choose this hotel again.
