Wunderschöne Lage, sehr schönes Gebäude in einem tollen Park. Gemütliches Restaurant / Lounge / Bar mit hervorragendem Essen.

Auswahl an vegetarischen Speisen sehr klein. Sehr kleines Frühstücksbuffet. Preis / Leistung für das eher kleine Zimmer mit sehr wenig Stauraum stimmt nicht.

View was amazing, room and bathroom are clean and spacious. Many items in the mini bar were complimentary

Officially, no food service after 9 pm (but they made me a sandwich at 10 pm). Officially, they need 24 hours' notice for Afternoon Tea (but they took our booking after that - and it was enormous).

Stunning, characterful hotel in a beautiful setting. The team at Langdale are really helpful and made us feel very welcome. The restaurant was excellent with a great choice of food. A lovely terrace facing the water was perfect for drinks in the sunshine to unwind after our journey. Our room was pure luxury and had mazing with views over Windermere.

This is one of the finest and most established hotels I have ever visited; the staff go out of their way to be helpful. It boasts a beautiful location overlooking the lake, with easy access to various activities and nearby towns. The hotel is clean, the service is excellent, and the room is stunning—truly impressive.

From the minute we arrived at Langdale Chase we were made to feel so welcome. The staff really went out of there way to help us upon arrival . After booking in we were treated to a brief history of the wonderful building and showed around. The bedroom and bathroom were spotless the bed was so comfortable and the view from the room over Lake Windemere was fantastic . The meal in the main restraunt was superb as was the meal we had in the lounge / Sun Terrace . Breakfasts were really good with a wide range of choice.

I honestly couldnt fault the hotel and look forward to revisiting.

Das Hotel ist in einem wunderschönen Zustand. Es ist geschmackvoll und aufwändig instand gesetzt. Das Personal ist sehr freundliche. Die Lage hervorragend.

Unser Zimmer, das wir mit Hunden bewohnten, wurde 1x in 4 Tagen gereinigt, der Boden wurde vergessen. Die Zimmerterrasse war schön gelegen, allerdings unbequem. Kein Sonnenschirm vorhanden. Essen ist mittelmäßig. Frühstück hat wenig Angebot außer den typisch (sehr mächtigen) Englischen in mittelmäßiger Qualität. Ein wenig Käse, ein wenig Salami. Nichts Frisches außer Obst (schmeckte nicht). Für 5 Sterne erbärmlich. Toast immer kalt. Kein weiteres Brotangebot. Dinner enttäuschend und, wie die Getränke, überteuert. Das einzig Gute war der Ausblick. Wir wurden einige Male bei Tisch vom Personal vergessen. Das Hotel befindet sich an einer sehr stark befahrenen Straße, was das rechts abbiegen erschwert. Überqueren ist nicht einfach, Fußwege fehlen, Spazierwege vom Hotel aus außerhalb des Hauses nicht empfehlenswert. Der Garten des Hotels ist zwar schön angelegt für Spaziergänge - mit Gehhilfen aber nicht nutzbar. Auf garkeinem Fall eines 5 Sterne Hotels würdig. In der Tat das mittelmäßigste und teuerste 5 Sterne Haus, das wir besucht haben.

From the welcome on arrival, to the service and the surroundings our stay was exceptional. Food was lovely and plenty of choice on the menu. Look forward to staying here again.

The Langdale Chase hotel is a magnificent building with a fantastic staff who are devoted to providing excellent customer service. I highly recommend taking a boat trip in the hotel’s vintage boat, the Albatross, with Rob and Richard.

Not a dislike, just a small criticism, There were no biscuits to have with our morning cuppa. most other hotels we stay in always supply a small pack of biscuits. Otherwise a brilliant stay. Thanks to all the very friendly staff.

Our room was not in the castle. They drove us to another building. So it was completely overpaid.

We recently stayed at Langdale Chase for our 3 year wedding anniversary, and it truly felt like something out of a dream. From the moment we arrived, we were wrapped in warmth, care, and genuine hospitality that made our stay unforgettable. A special thank you to Keira at reception, who was so kind and attentive, and to Natalia for such a warm welcome that instantly set the tone for our stay. Dean was wonderful both at reception and in the restaurant, making everything feel seamless and relaxed. Alex’s knowledge and passion for the menu really elevated our dining experience - every dish was not only beautifully presented but absolutely delicious, with such high-quality ingredients shining through. One of the most memorable highlights of our trip was the boat experience, and we cannot thank Peter and Rob enough. They are two of the loveliest people we’ve ever met - so genuine, friendly, and full of warmth. What made it even more special was their incredible knowledge of the lakes and the history of the house, which added such a rich and fascinating layer to the experience. It felt so personal and thoughtfully done, and it’s something we’ll always remember. The hotel itself is simply stunning. It has a timeless, antique charm that feels both luxurious and comforting, perfectly set against the most breathtaking views of the lake. Staying in the Lake House was incredible - we couldn’t recommend it enough. Waking up to those views felt surreal. Afternoon tea was another highlight - beautifully presented with such a variety of flavours, each one thoughtfully crafted. We also loved the cinema room, which we were lucky enough to have all to ourselves, complete with delicious snacks - such a cosy and unique touch. What made the stay truly special was the sense of calm and stillness. The scenic walks, the peaceful surroundings, and that feeling of being completely immersed in nature gave us the perfect break from reality.

Could have had more halal options available - chicken is halal but not even choice on the menu for this.

The Hotel is gorgeous. We had the Langdale Pikes Suite, which offers a small private balcony with French doors, and an additional seating area overlooking the lake. Food and Drink are of very good quality. Toiletries in the bathroom are of very good quality and pleasurable to use. The grounds are lovely with sunny terraces, perfect for drinks. The mini cinema is an added bonus. This was our first visit, but it won't be our last. Perfect position on the lake, beautiful building, exceptional decor, excellent staff, comfortable rooms.

Just incredible staff helping make my engagement weekend super special, really had a great time, super easy to sort and communicate everything I wanted. Only issue we had was not being able to contact the hotel on the day of our check in when we had transport arranged (missed our connecting train due to delays) but i’m aware it was mother’s day the next day so the phone lines would be busy. Can’t thank you all enough!

Incredible location and the room was so warm and cosy! The views are absolutely spectacular.

The food wasn’t very good, especially the breakfasts. The service in general was bad. We made multiple requests that were all ignored as they don’t do handovers. Having said this, everyone was very pleasant and eager to help, there’s just a lack of coordination and proper management.

The very beautiful interiors with lots of spaces to sit in comfort. Beautiful gardens and having a garden tour is very interesting. I stayed in the Lakehouse … just a gorgeous room with everything thought of. Food was excellent and is very fine dining. Staff were so good. Special thank you to Linda who made great suggestions.

We had an amazing luxury room with balcony, which we did not expect. The hotel is amazing as they take care of the smallest details. In house dining was really good example of fine dining. The grounds around the hotel were perfect for an evening or morning stroll. We went on a cruise around the Lake Windermere in 1920’s wooden boat, such class!! Really recommend this hotel. The staff made us feel really at home
