Rooms were reported as beautiful and modern with excellent amenities.

Comfortable bed with nice linens.

Multiple complaints about room issues: no air conditioning leading to very hot rooms, old rooms needing upgrade (lake-view rooms in older wing), hard mattresses, shower without proper screen/curtain and loose tiles — room quality is notably mixed and often lets stays down.

Rooms were a good size and comfortable, but some furniture was worn.

Clean and well-maintained facilities as stated in multiple reviews.

Perfectly clean room & bathroom.

Multiple reviews note rooms and property as 'clean and tidy', 'modern, spacious and clean' and 'beautiful clean', indicating a consistently high standard of cleanliness.

Some furniture in the rooms were worn and ready for renovations.

Staff were consistently described as friendly, attentive, and accommodating.

Friendly staff, excellent service during dinner.

Several mentions of very helpful and friendly reception staff and standout bar staff (named), but offset by reports of poor communication around pool access and an instance of rude restaurant staff — overall strong but with some consistency issues.

Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Food quality across meals consistently highlighted as delicious and beautifully prepared.

Dinner and breakfast were excellent.

Breakfast is repeatedly praised as excellent with great choices and strong breakfasts; however there are isolated comments about poor food and rude restaurant staff which temper a uniformly top score.

Food was good but lacked a bit of variety.

Amenities such as gardens and a private cinema mentioned positively.

Dog-friendly with additional welcome pack.

Spa and general facilities receive high praise ('spa was fantastic', 'great facilities'), but frequent negative notes about restricted hours, additional charges or package requirements for outdoor pool access slightly tarnish the excellence.

Nice public areas with beautiful grounds.

Reasonable pricing for the quality of experience provided.

Dinner was reasonably priced; however, drinks were thought to be pricey.

Several guests felt the price was high for what they received, citing unexpected extra charges and disappointment given the cost; value perception is below the hotel's otherwise strong attributes.

Overall a good experience worth the money.
