Clean, welcoming and efficient. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bed very comfortable!
The 'neon' modern style is not something I find warm and soulful. Breakfast options very mundane / basic. Pop over to the Crowne Plaza and you'll see what I mean - their breakfast is the best hotel breakfast I've seen in some years. Poor choices for those that have to drink decaf coffee. As with most hotels, the chair provided in the room was not very comfortable to sit and read in.
Comfortable beds, excellent staff and breakfast was fantastic
Nothing
The location of the hitel was great. The food from the bar was fantastic and the staff working in the bar were lovely and very pleasant and helpful
The food in the restaurant was not the best and some of the staff were not very nice.
Auswahl beim Frühstück, Ausblick, Dusche
I booked this hotel especially due to the disabled room having a ceiling track hoist. Along with this it had a closemat toilet, a very good shower, and height adjustable bathroom sink. I thought the room was very well thought out.
The only negatives I have on the room are: The room has only a double bed, lots of disabled people including myself travel with carers or friends, rather than partners. The option of having a pull out bed or similar in the room would have been helpful. Booking the adjoining room would have been out of my friend and I's price range in this instance. It would have been could if the bathroom sink was a standard depth and had a plug stopper, this caused an issue for having a decent shave.
Vriendelijk en hulpvaardig personeel. Ideale ligging kort bij de stad maar niet in de drukte
Nothing really
Carpet in my room had stains . Bed mattress quality was poor and I woke up with backache. Advertise said there is parking on site but found out its not hotel parking and its not at site , its near by 10 minute walk.
Good location
The breakfast choice was ok although the scrambled eggs did not look very appertizing, the fried eggs were a bit rubbery and the pork sausages could have been cooked longer as too pink in colour for my liking. However the breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful especially Margaret.
I did not like that you had to use the nearby Millennium car park for parking purposes which was quite expensive for the 2 day duration of my stay and there was double yellow lines outside the hotel so you had to be very quick to drop off luggage before going to the car park. Thank goodness it was not raining when I was leaving as that would have been awful given the distance to the car park.
We had dinner in the restaurant.
Nothing
didn't eat breakfast
the hotel was incredibly hot
Comfy bed, quiet, clean, coffee machine, dry bar toiletries, helpful staff, left luggage facility
Could not turn off air conditioning
Clean good location and friendly staff
Bar staff were lovely
Reception staff not very friendly or helpful after j was charged full price day before stay and had to pay same on day and wait for refund which is a week ago . Never had to do this previously with booking.com
Modern with good facilities.
All air-conditioned, no window to open.
Everything from the room to the staf it was fabulous.
The breakfast and evening meal were excellent. The staff went over and above with their help very friendly smiling would highly recommend this hotel Make sure you use the car park that is recommended by the hotel staff

Size of room
There was a continuous musty smell in the bathroom
Breakfast was great, staff were also very helpful and kind. Comfy bed, great shower.

Modern hotel.
Air-conditioned rooms, no window to open.
Easy to book and comfortable stay
No conversation from reception.
Comfortable beds Nice hotel
The family room had some sort of boiler in there and made noises all night
Reception was nice and spacious.
Had 2 rooms, one was nice and spacious, the other was quite a bit smaller. The room was very dusty. In particular the tea/coffee station and carpet edges were very visibly dusty.
The location was great, in between 2 universities near the city centre. The family room had 2 large double beds and not just a sofa bed. So, it was definitely a more comfy stay for my family. It was clean and spacious as well as the bathroom. The room also had a refrigerator!
No parking. The available public parking at the nearby millennium point car park run by the council is rather expensive at £13.90 per day. The hotel could help subsidise this for customers. I saw a few stains on the curtain in the room. There was only one central bedside table. Therefore as I occupied the outer side, there was nowhere to place my phone or other stuff. There was no night light in the room. All of the lighting was strong.
The staff were very approachable and helpful. The air conditioning was responsive and worked quickly. Noises were minimum - although I did hear a door shut loudly in the middle of the night and showers in two other rooms.
There was a really bad smell (sewer smell) in the ensuite. This was very poor. The basin and mirror were both chipped and the desk chair was broken (the hydraulic adjustment was stuck in the high position - like sitting on a bar stool with no foot rest). The staff were unable to find any more decaf tea bags after I used the only one apparently in the whole hotel!
The second room i was given was great and the tv worked but in my first room it didn't but the staff were great and very accommodating and they let me move rooms to have the casting on the tv so I wouldn't knock them for that. Bed is very comfortable and the pillows perfect too. The location is perfect as it is in the city but without it being too close to the noise and the chaos of drunk people unlike in Broad Street. Had a few issues with my key cards at check in but again the staff were very helpful and accommodating. The rooms have fridges and water in them which I feel is a lovely touch and this should be a basic standard in all hotel's but it isn't. Rainfall shower is the top. Bathrobes and slippers included. 24 hour gym and shop onside. Love the interior decor Cozy vibes
It can be very overpriced It doesn't have any spa or pool facilities i feel this would be perfect if they did. The restaurant is never open and the bar the food is not the best and there's not much choice it could do with more options. Breakfast also could do with a little more option and a facility to make hot chocolate. Slight commotion with some disruptive kids breaking into the hotel which the staff handled very well and it was delt with swiftly which isn't the hotels fault but because the restaurant not being open i was in the bar which is in the lobby and the commotion put me off my food a little.
Conveniently located as the event I attended was right at the hotel Eastside rooms. Clean, comfortable, decently-sized room and I had great views. The coffee machine was a nice addition. Hotel general ambience was really nice and the reception staff were friendly and professional.
Parking was a bit tricky…the parking across from the hotel no longer allows overnight parking and the nearest available paid parking facility is a 5-minute walk from the hotel. You can technically park for free on the street overnight (between 7.30pm and 8am) but the city parking officers are either over zealous or badly trained or both, as I got a ticket (which I promptly appealed).
My family and I liked everything about the hotel, room, staff, cleanliness etc. We loved the room as it was cosy, clean, and everything was placed in a convenient place, for example, the light switches were next to the bed and the TV was on the wall in front of the bed. We also liked the room service as we received a refill of water, toilet paper, coffee and tea essentials and had a change of towels. The staff were very nice and gave us exactly what we needed.
We would prefer if the room had a microwave and some plates, glasses and cutlery, but otherwise, everything was really good.
You feel welcome by the staff.
While I was there police were in the hotel. Not sure what it was all about.
Very clean and modern nice rooms good breakfast
Multi story car park nearby
Room had bad smell Wet patch on the floor approx 30cm across. No idea where it came from- perhaps an AC leak. Socks wet through because if it. Wet patch remained present throughout the whole stay.
Lovely and spacious, nice and clean room comfy beds
Spacious, clean and good quality room. Restaurant on site provided a nice evening meal.
The bar was not attended after 21:30 and parking was a real challenge. I used the multistory car park which is a 8 minute walk.
Customer Service In the recession neha was excellent
Breakfast was too expensive to take but there are plenty of alternatives nearby.
Parking is expensive and a little inconvenient (you have to download an app to pay) in the nearby multistory car park.
Firstly I liked the service especially the reception. Her name was Neha. She was very down to earth and helpful.
Car Parking
Good breakfast. Staff ready to help
No windows that open. Air just circles around room
It was clean and modern
Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast good. Staff very friendly especially Margaret she was extremely chatty lovely lady 😊
No net curtain to the window in room. When having a shower there was a slight drain smell.
Room was spacious and clean. Staff super helpful
Fridge and AC a bit noisy
Excellent customer service Very nice staff Delicious brake fast
Nothing to say
Location is very good hotel is so good and clean I really loveed to stay in this hotel everything is perfect I will come and stay again
Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and comfortable. The inclusion of a fridge in the room is very handy. Breakfast and meals were very nice.
One small thing - a soap dish is needed for the bathroom or better still dispenser soap.
The staff were very great and approachable. Margret was exceptional in helping us. The reception staff were great too. Lovely hotel.
No free parking
The location was perfect for the purpose of my visit. The breakfast was not expensive at all, considering the quality of it. The guest WIFI was great on its own and even the public one worked fine during my stay.
The breakfast was fine on its own, just lacking a bit in vegetables. I think one thing to make it really better would be more greens available. There was a disgusting smell coming from the bathroom for some reason, like sewer smell coming from the toilets.
Very modern rooms and perfect air conditioning - also very good value for money would definitely return
Everything was spot on. Had a lovely big room that fitted us, the kids, and the dog comfortably. Breakfast was lovely.
Sorting out parking, which isn't helped by Birmingham City Councils signage.
Perfect stay
No all good
Restaurant wasn't helpful at all. We waited and waited for someone to come to us but eventually got up and left as no even noticed we were waiting. Waitor just walked passed serving food to other tables. When we got up we went to reception to complain and the staff member apologise and said I will serve you. So we went back in the restaurant but there were not alot of options for vegan vegatarian as they mostly contained eggs. We just left and went out.
Excellent

Excellent service and lovely clean rooms. Nice comfy beds.
the size of the rooms ,i had a view the staff I met were all lovely from checking in , information ,breakfast and the bar
I did mention on checking out that care was needed with the crockery supplied in the rooms to ensure they are clean . However this did not spoil my stay
Less noise
I booked for 5 nights but due to cancellation of my some meetings I have requested to cancel my 2 nights booking and refund as I was leaving earlier but they have not refunded which I did not like it 😡
Good location, clean and in good order. Staff very helpful. Would stay here again.
Interior, big bedroom, comfortable bed, quiet location
Took about 20mins for a boiled egg to arrive to the table

The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Very impressed. Exceptional.
Felt sorry for the breakfast staff as they were run off their feet but remained so kind and helpful.
Large spacious room, very clean and quiet. Breakfast was lovely, was busy and food was replaced very regularly
nothing, would recommend.
Property was lovely and spacious and in a quiet location within easy reach of city centre. Air con was great and staff were very helpful
Clean, comfortable, and quiet. Mini-Fridge, safe, breakfast nook with tea and coffee. Good breakfast for £10 extra per night. Friendly and helpful staff. Complementary water given.
The shower door doesn’t contain the water and the floor gets wet.
Quiet neighbourhood
Breakfast food layout is cluttered
Went above and beyond for our sons birthday
Restaurant didn’t end up opening due to chef being late. Therefor had to leave and drive 6 miles to a restaurant for sons birthday. Parking across several main roads not ideal for small children
Personnel was nice and beds were huge.
Cleaner dis not bring toaletpaper at all, we have to ask it for reception.
Location
Very expensive, looking tired and not the cleanest. We had a lot of hairs in our room/bathroom when we checked in. The bed in our daughter’s room dipped really badly in the middle. Food in the bar was so bad for an expensive hotel. Caesar salad with chicken and bacon - it was not real bacon! Chicken burger had more batter than chicken… nachos has a really bad, not fresh salsa - straight from a jar. Very disappointing food all round.
Comfy beds
Very bad smell of sewage from the bathroom
Rooms are very nice, beds were comfortable
There was a bad smell when we first entered our room.
I thought that the breakfast was okay rather than outstanding. I was however thankful that there was the option of vegan sausages upon request. My partner, however was a little disappointed with the breakfast. I like the location which provided easy access to the city centre. The vast majority of the staff were very polite and professional.
My check-in experience wasn’t good and the person on reception started to book another couple in midway through completing my booking. I had to call later in the day as some items of clothing were left behind by accident. However when I called back to report it the person answering the phone wasn’t sympathectic and I was palmed off with snkm
Location was great for us.
The lack of parking and it would have been nice if the hotel had a discount code for surrounding paid parking buildings.
Very clean, modern, really nice staff, good value for money and good breakfast for the price.
Nothing really
Location, cleanliness
The toilets has no toilet brush am not sure if that is a standard thing for a hotel but is something I found so strange because I have not encountered that in any hotel I have stayed before
Lovely air-conditioned rooms! Very clean Staff very helpful and friendly
The breakfast could be improved - fruit and bread not great quality
Cleanliness. Locations

Would just like to say Neha at reception was very helpful and gave us an extra hour to check out. Amazing customer service, would stay again!
location, friendliness and extremely helpful staff on reception and bar.

Modern, very clean, helpful and friendly staff. Excellent location
Great room, nice and spacious. Good breakfast selection, good area for us
Should offer free wifi without a membership
The breakfast was great
Not enough towels for 3 adults 1 child in the room but only enough towels for 2 people
Comfortable rooms, in university quarter and within walking distance of central Birmingham. Spacious family room, well priced for family of 4.
It was busy when we stayed and breakfast time was busy. The buffet corner is quite small for the amount of people and it was crowded - if the buffet area was expanded a little it would make things better. Also a lot of the foods were in small containers and as a result were running out all the time - small complaints but with a few tweaks breakfast time would run more efficiently and make for happier guests and staff!
Bien placé, au calme, bon petit déjeuné, personnel accueillant
Ruime kamers, goede bedden en fijne douche. Ligging was prima.
Niets.
Loved the room, staff and location!
Staff
Lit King Size reservé mais j’ai eu un Queen Size ce n’etait pas confortable Prix trop cher pour la qualite de la chambre
Friendly staff, rooms were very spacious and clean
Clinical smell in room. Room was akin to student accommodation. Restaurant was closed on Sunday when we arrived and this was not indicated on the hotel description (one of our main reasons for choosing the hotel was for its restaurant facilities). The parking is a much further walk away than mentioned the hotel description (again this was another reason for choosing the hotel). There was nowhere to park outside of the hotel and we had to park on the pavement to quickly offload our luggage. My partner then went to park as it was too far to walk with the luggage we had.
Good buffet breakfast and parking close by.

Communication is very poor paid for breakfast every morning it’s a big problem for my sister to receive her breakfast. The smell in the toilet was really bad I have to move at the end. I booked all together five rooms all have issues on them.
Smell from the toilet was bad. Paid for breakfast every morning is a problem to receive my breakfast. Communication between staff is very poor. Some staff are very rude some are helpful.
Massive room and bedroom, with everything we needed. Clean and tidy. Restaurant served amazing food, with a great offer of 25% off. We had 2 starters and 3 main meals and they were all delicious. The restaurant was very quiet for a Saturday, we were the only ones in, which is a shame as the food was so good. The staff where very friendly and attentive. Breakfast the next morning was busy but one of the best buffets I have encountered, with the likes of smashed Avocado and greek yoghurt, with berries and honey. Everything was topped up constantly and very little wait for fresh poached egg.
Nothing, a good location with everything we needed.
The food and hall was very beautiful
how the gate opener didn't open the gate on multiple occasions when we showed the wedding booking reservations and the name under it . All the rooms on the fourth floors bathrooms were badly affected with a stench .

Further from the centre than we realised
The location is unique and easy to navigate.

Excellent location so close to all amenities and transport links. I am a regular here never had a bad experience. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast is decent Food in restaurant is great they do really lovely burgers. Urban rooms nice Rainfall shower is the best part of it. Soft flannels. Smart tv Decor is cozy
Rooms are fairly small Hotel can be very overpriced considering its not got spa facilities
The services and facilities
None
I liked the warm hospitality from your staff members, the cleaning staff were excellent , my room was cleaned on a daily basis staff spoke very politely and were very helpful when asked for help. Overall we had lots of fun. The wedding i attended came out very successful. Thank you for your hospitality
I liked most things apart from the breakfast which did not cater for Muslim guests only Christians. There was no halal food served, at least they should have included chicken sausages also, but everything was pork which I as a Muslim and many of the other guests were not happy about. I spoke to one of your nice and helpful staff called Margaret and she reassured guests that it will be looked into and I hope so.
I liked the room and the staff they were super kind and friendly the room was big enough for my family(my kids always fight or space)
Should use blackout curtains instead of the ones they use at the moment and should be clear that you need to pay for the water in the fridge
It was a good experience, very clean
The environment, staff were accommodating
