Good location and essentials in there. Bed was comfortable

The apartment had alot of scuffs on the walls and needs repainting. Some of the furniture is slightly damaged, stains etc. There was only 1 towel despite two of us booked.

Walking in the room stank of smoke, the main lights didn't work and after emailing to ask received no response so had to use the wall lights for the duration of our stay. Big puddle of water on the bathroom floor when we arrived which lined up with the silverfish we saw later on the floor. The fridge didn't look clean and when lifting the mattress to check if we had dropped anything upon leaving, we saw bottle caps and a thick layer of dust under the bed along with a broken bed panel. The deposit has been returned to us but after highlighting all these issues to the hotel in an email we received no response let alone offer of compensation. I would highly recommend avoiding this place as judging by other reviews it looks as though our experience was one of the better ones.

The room was in an unacceptable condition and appeared not to have been properly cleaned before my arrival. The bed sheets looked dirty, and the overall cleanliness of the room was so poor that I refused to stay the night. I checked out before midnight and was forced to pay for alternative accommodation elsewhere. This was not a minor issue or a matter of preference—it was a basic hygiene failure.

The room looks comfortable and clean upon checking in with basic necessities for a good hotel would normally provide.

It would be appreciative to provide drinking bottled water not just coffee/ tea facilities. Hot water facilities is not turned on in the evening for showering. Only microwaves are working, but induction stove is not.

I paid a £50 deposit when I arrived before they would give us a code to get in we left the building in the exact same condition as we arrived all pots was washed and rubbish away in the bin not received my deposit Back. The manor of the staff that I spoke to over the phone he sounded like speaking to customers was a chore

Modern feel and clean

Freezer was broke, I got a message saying someone would be there to fix it but no one showed up and no one replied to my message. No forks or teaspoons,Nowhere to park.

We liked the location

It was dirty. The bedding was very old and had stains on it (at least I hope they were stains and not just dirty). The bathroom had what looked like faeces marks on the cupboard next to the toilet. The room hadn’t been dusted in a long time.

I booked a £49 room, and only after payment was I told that I had to pay an additional £50 deposit to receive the access code. I was told it would be refunded within 48 hours. None of this was disclosed before booking or payment. The owner essentially withheld access unless I paid the extra deposit. Very disappointing and misleading.

Close to city centre, easy to access, excellent facilities and size of accomodation was perfect. Bed was clean and comfortable and bathroom was similarly clean.

The property is located on Queen Street, in the centre of Sheffield. For this reason it is a very convenient location close to the bus and railway stations, shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as Cathedral tram stop. The staff were friendly and very responsive when I had a cleanliness issue upon checking in (the room, not me personally). In terms of safety, the property is well secured, with combinations required in order to enter the front door and the individual rooms. The kitchenette was well-stocked and offered fantastic cutlery, crockery and other kitchen appliances. The fridge was incredibly cold and the Lidl around the corner is very handy for basic essentials such as milk, juice etc.

Unfortunately, I think that this property needs a bit more direction from management and an enhanced eye for detail. As I checked in and entered my room, I discovered an unclean duvet and bedsheets as well as stained, smelly towels. The shower door was in need of a fresh dab of silicone as well as it dragging across its rail. It can be quite hard to find a member of staff as there is not a designated reception area. The bar, which online is advertised and being open and run by an experienced bar manager, was not open throughout my two and a half day stay at this establishment. Ultimately, I would argue that this is a good establishment but it needs improvement and there needs to be a very focused improvement on cleanliness and standards.

After staying in Central Sheffield, at least twice a year for the past 25 - 30 years and always staying local hotels. I was so pleasantly surprised when I decided to make a change this year. All that I can say is I'm genuinely kicking myself for not, making this decision many years ago. Everything was at least as good as I expected. The biggest factor for me is that it had a decent fridge and great cooking facilities. This meant that I could do my own grocery shopping and prepare my own meals. It also had one of the biggest shower stalls of any accommodation that I have visited in past! Overall, I very pleasantly surprised and I will definitely be staying there in future!

The only small problem was there wasn't anywhere to place or hang washing utensils (shower gel, shampoo etc.) The shower itself was absolutely brilliant.

It was dirty, under the bed had other peoples old socks and months of dirt and rubbish. The kitchen surface had ants all over including inside my food!! I messaged the management about this but sadly I received no reply. My room was No1 and right by the main door and so I was woken each time people came into the building. The extractor fan that went from the kitchen area into the bathroom was on constantly and so rather noisy, this was also really thick with dust.

We hated it, we didn't stay the evening! Hairs in the bed,Chicken carcass in the oven,Dirty socks under the bed along with dust,Yellow stains on the pillow,Pubic hair on the toilet,Dirty floor,We left approx 9.15pm, so wasted money on this place, offered £10 compensation after we paid £86! Booking.com didn't help out, waste of money AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

Really lovely rooms in a very convenient location in Sheffield. Communication about access and arrival were superb. We had two rooms and both were thoughtfully laid out and very comfortable. Would stay here again!

There wasn't a TV in the bedroom, the settee wasn't ideal for snuggling or ideal for someone over 6ft. Underneath the bed was very dirty.

Great location. Very modern and spacious. Clean room and lots of extras provided like tea, coffee etc. Kitchen had everything you would need. Felt secure and safe getting inside building. Easy to communicate and reach. Even reached out to me during the stay to ask if we needed anything. Sent ID and deposit over before we arrived and recieved the refund the next day. Perfect.

Only one thing was it was slightly noisy in the morning but nothing major when compared to other city centre areas. Mild inconvenience at the most!

The shower water wouldn't go down the drain so had to take it out to inspect it, the shower drain was very dirty ( covered in hairs and black gunk)hence why the water wouldn't go down so had to clean it myself, under the couch was dirty too so had to clean that out, no clean towels offered for our stay (3 night's) and the tv was a nightmare to watch because the internet was so slow nothing would load

Check in was a nightmare, didn't provide me any instructions so I was left waiting for 40 mins. The room was okay, fine for the money. There was a smell of damp/sewage coming from the bathroom so I had to shut the door but it was very strong.

Great location, clean, comfortable accommodation and facilities. Customer service was excellent. Access to property was easy. Would most definitely book again for our engineers!

The cleanliness! It might not have bothered some people but it did me. I’m not going to be a repeat customer unfortunately! Hair in the shower tray, broken glass on the bathroom floor, no mat to get out the shower on to. Tea stains on the side, dirty plates in the cupboard, no tea towel to dry up with? very very dusty and the floor was lime it had never been mopped? This is general standard in hygiene is it not?

However the hosts didn't contact me to let me know how to check-in (code etc) until last minute. Felt a bit like talking to ai. Once there, everything was great except the bed had little black hairs in it which was not a nice feeling. They brushed away but I felt sick not being sure if the linen was even clean

The apartment was secure , the directions for entry were easy to follow. It was clean and quiet. Small kitchinette wad good, kettle and tea facilities etc, no fridge though. No air con but there was a fan in the room.

Unclean, bedding hadn't been changed. Hairs and stains on the bedding, blood stain on the duvet was absolutely unsanitary and disgusting.

I enjoyed the modern look of it. It’s walking distance to trams, bus stops and the city centre. Good value for money. I also enjoyed the in-room facilities with the stove, ironing board and iron readily on hand. The bathroom was my fave.

The wooden flooring unfortunately means that you can hear your neighbours above you moving around. Luckily I had earplugs on hand.

Perfect for a short stay, apartment has everything required and is in convenient location. Can walk to centre in 10 minutes. Apartment clean and quiet. Only issue we had was there was only one towel left for the 2 of us but we bought one so not a problem.

It was FILTHY. Dirty bedding , smelly pillows, very dusty fan spreading dust all around . When I contact the owner and ask to clean it . He said I had to pay extra ! I cancel my second night as he was not prepared to provide a clean room . It ruin my holidays as I had to spent the whole day contacting him . Also he asked for deposit £50 deposit via bank transfer and he still hasn’t giving me the money back , I have email him many times and now I have also contacted customer service to ask for help. Don’t stay here if you would like a clean room or a stress free holiday .

Hmm Entry from street via supplied code. If you forget code easy to guess anyway looking at which buttons are worn. Keysafe for room itself ok. Filthy fridge on arrival required thorough clean Parking is in difficult to find; private car park unrelated to hotel which is quite expensive.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! I used booking.com for years and never had a problem. This however was a whole other level! The pictures I saw were completely different to the small and uncomfortable place I was given. Broken chair in the kitchen and uncomfortable sofa but the worst thing was that there was NO HOT WATER and NO HEATING! I tried to contact the host and they came back straight away to say there had been a bursted pipe and they were trying to sort it out. They never gave me the choice to cancel and only let me know about it a few hours into arriving at the venue and only after I informed them that there was no heating. I asked for an electric heater and then about the hot water and I had no reply at all, nothing! Vanished! I was freezing. I was there for work and I deliver trainings at University and after in the morning I could not shower or have a shave or wash! I raised it with booking.com and asked for a refund and the host offered £10, this is how much they care about your stay.

I had a very spacious and comfortable apartment which was well equipped and peaceful as it looked onto a courtyard.

Stopped in the past, unfortunately standards appear to have slipped.

The room was not clean, mirrors badly smeared, towels marked, rubbish at the side of bed on floor and under bed. No staff on site anymore, meaning nothing being monitored. The smell of cannabis was awful throughout the buildings, especially in the corridors but smell was coming into the room. Window locks broken so couldn't even leave windows in room open when out.

Property is in a good location and the room is of a decent size. The kitchen area is well-equipped and there’s plenty of storage space. Accessing the property is via a code sent to email, which is an easy system to use. Disadvantage is that there’s no one on site to speak to about any issues. The room was clean and there’s bed was comfortable.

There was an alarm/siren going off all through the night during my stay, which was hugely annoying. The alarm was inside the property itself, not from outside. There was also quite a bit of noise into my room, as it was facing the street. I could also hear conversations and movements from other rooms on the floor below too. The window was the old sash-type and let in a lot of noise even when closed. The blind did not fully fit the window either and let in a lot of light. My room was upstairs with no disabled access provision, so anyone who struggles with stairs would be unable to stay here. Ground floor rooms are also available, however. Parking is also advertised as a feature, but there is no parking for the property, it is all chargeable parking either on-street or through private car parks.

It was clean, the beds were comfortable, overall a nice place to stay.
