Provider-sourced guest reviews.
Staff were nice and the scenery was lovely. I liked the pool table.
The decor in the hotel and restaurant was so bad, those pink dining chairs were horrid. The main restaurant was not worth it, far better food at other local pubs. 26£ for hake with barely any flavour! More seating by the pool would be useful.
Great Location, very clean, very nice hotel, all staff very courteous
Nothing to dislike
Meals were good as were the staff. Hotel situated in a nice spot and parking was easy.
Some of the decor was a bit tired. The bed headboard in room had greasy marks where people’s heads had been and dust on the top. If you are having such a strong feature headboard it should at least be clean. Also ladies changing room for the pool was not cleaned in a regular basis. Floors had dirty puddles on them and there was litter present from one day to the next.
Lovely location and good spa facilities. Breakfast was nice.
Room looks tired, mattress very old and way too soft and uncomfortable, aircon not available unless you pay for an upgraded room. Also, purposely deactivate all the room keys 30 mins before checkout time causing chaos for everyone returning from breakfast to access rooms
Brilliant location, overlooking the river and beautiful old stone bridge. Plus a very good walk out of the carpark with some stunning views around. The old Inn is expansive, as plenty of facilities and has been stylishly refurbished recently. Excellent breakfast offering.
The 2 Food options are too diametrically opposite. The expensive River room restaurant having hybrid almost 5 star quality, whereas the bar restaurant next door, almost cafe like, has unimaginative offerings often fried/deep fried.
Comfortabele bedden. Fijn restaurant.
Room was comfortable, good access to pool facilities. Staff friendly. Good location for central Lakes. The continental breakfast buffet options (toast, yogurt, fruit, pastries) were good and enjoyable. We were offered tea or coffee at breakfast.
The food was expensive and overall poor quality. On the first night we had originally booked a table in the river room. When we went down there was very loud music playing and the menu looked unimpressive and expensive. We decided to sit (literally) next door at the Swan Inn. This had a greater option of foods, although still very costly for what it was. To start, we had focaccia, which was dry enough to be a breadstick, and paid £6 for a side of french fries which was a very small portion and bland. The pizza oven was not serving either night we stayed and decided to eat elsewhere the following evening. We ordered some breakfast foods from the breakfast menu which was also underwhelming. The pancakes were quite obviously bought in (as opposed to made fresh) which wouldn't have been an issue if they weren't so dry. The bacon was also served barely warm and very tough. We did not finish it.
Cosy inn, lovely decor, really good breakfast with friendly service.
The walls are paper thin between the rooms. I could hear snoring so loud through the wall that earplugs didn’t help. On the other side (room 101 by reception) there was a small dog barking at midnight with the owners in the room making no effort to keep it quiet. That was also my alarm clock the following morning as the dog barked non-stop while the room’s occupants were at breakfast. Advise you to ask for a quiet room!
Location/breakfast/pool,
WiFi doesn't work in bedrooms, cleanliness not good carpets to old and grubby,
Amazing hotel, restaurant and spa in a gorgeous location! Very family friendly!
No complaints!
We booked 1 night for our family 2 adults and 4 'kid's' ages 12, 14, 17 & 18. One night cost us 533.00 for 1 night which hurt a lot to pay, but we hadn't been away all summer and only had this one weekend free where we could all go together. They gave us 2 rooms on completely different floors, which was a nightmare. Having made them aware of the ages of our children they gave us a king size bed and a pull out sofa bed for them to all sleep on which for my 18 year old step son having to share a bed with his younger step sister was less than ideal! We got in the pool and it was really cold so much so that my 12 year old who was so excited just for the pool was so cold she got really upset and had to get out after 15 minutes. Then later we decided to eat in the pub part of the hotel to try save some money and what a joke that was. They has no tales until 7.45pm so all the kids were starving by then. The menu was very limited so everyone decided to have just the swan burger which was 20 quid then an extra 6 yes 6 quid to add chips!! Times that by our party of 6 and we were looking at a bill of 156.00 just for a crappy round of burger and chips not to mention the 43.00 cost for 4 diet cokes a gin and a larger! I wouldn't ever go back here just for the sheer fact it isn't a family compatible hotel unless you are made of money or have no care about value for had earned money. Poor Poor overall experience.
Quicker to write what I did like which was the decor or the place and the staff were friendly.
Staff were polite, location great. Food & drink (when we got it were ok)
Day 1 - booked a dinner reservation & it took 45 minutes before they even brought us our drinks. Food was OK but a lot of items on the menu unavailable even though we were sat down at 1945. Then had the experience at around 10:30 of guests next door having an argument & hotel staff / security having to deal with them. Day 2 - night was again interrupted by guests in the other next door room, from around midnight, having music on, talking loudly & then engaged in several sex sessions right through until around 05:30 in the morning. Overall the room & hotel needed a lot of updating. Room had torn wallpaper, rotten sash windows, poor seal around bath & basin. Communal toilets had really bad rotten skirting boards, leaking taps & general decor needed updating. Corridors had holes in the floors that could be felt through the carpet.
A lovely hotel, all the staff were so friendly and nice, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The one thing I would say is there isn’t much around there to do it’s a bit out of the way of everywhere .
Breakfast was good. Gym/pool were nice enough.
We had a dog friendly room but didn’t actually end up bringing our dog. I appreciate it was a dog friendly room but it was really dirty. The floor clearly hadn’t been cleaned, we asked reception to get housekeeping back which they did but it was really no better after they’d been. There was a yoghurt top under the bench at end of bed and an open safety pin on the floor which could have caused injury - and this was AFTER we’d had housekeeping back. Also the upholstery of the arm chairs in the room - and more upsettingly the bed headboard was filthy and heavily stained. There were dog hairs on the bedsheets and stains on the bed cushions and top sheet. I appreciate there is a premium for staying in the lakes but this is not what I would expect from a £300+ per night room. We were really disappointed.
did not exactly get what I asked for at breakfast. Asked for bacon, tomato, mushroom and fried egg and I got, 2 x sausage, 3 x tomatoes, fried egg and baked beans with black pudding. Did not complain just ate what I could from what they delivered
lighting in the bathroom, very difficult to put on makeup, so had to sit in the window to get the right light
Lovely location and good food
Gym was a bit grubby Wi-fi didn’t work well Air con unit in room was “not in use”
Well situated.professional friendly staff. Relaxing
Nothing
Location
Mould in my room, stains on curtains, lots of marks on wallpaper, slanting bed
Local views
The property seemed tired in a few spots. But it’s an old building after all. Our bathroom had mold and shower screen leaked.
Excellent hotel in a beautiful location, Breakfast served in our room, what,s not like.
Very scenic, good facilities, excellent breakfast
Bed too soft
Nice location nice breakfast Some good staff in restaurant/pub
Not worth it. The staff were unwelcoming from arrival and they told us that in order to give us our key we had to give them our card details, even though we’d already paid in full. Unsure why we gave them it. There was shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in our room so as you do, I was using it. I used most of it through the trip so decided to take it home and after we left we got an email threatening to take £60 from the card for the shampoo conditioner and shower gel. I understand a hotel might prefer you don’t use the product in full or whatever the rule is, but they put it in our room and then (didn’t inform us at all that we were not allowed to have it, and didn’t put it in the contract, no sign nothing) and then caused us a lot of stress and confusion by threatening to charge us. I personally feel that if you use products that a stranger who stayed there before you has used there could have been absolutely anything put in it and it is not hygienic, and could be dangerous. There were robes put away in our room cupboard for us to use at the pool area, and they had mud on them? On that note the pool area was not kept clean the toilets in the pool area was always left in a state. I never saw any staff around the pool area. It was quite small too considering the amount of people they have crammed in there. A lot of the staff seemed very unaware of basic customer service skills a lot of them looked inexperienced. At one point we asked for more towels and this girl stormed in with them and refused to take our dirty ones so they were just left on the floor next to our door? Air conditioning is not provided even though it was summer. Everything was extremely over priced for what you get. The resteraunt was overpriced too, (although I enjoyed the food I tried). They got our order wrong didn’t apologise instead tried to force it on the table even though I couldn’t eat what they were giving me because of dietary requirements (I informed them of).
Lovely property , nice rooms excellent food
Not enough disabled parking spaces, uneven floor in corridor made walking difficult
Our bedroom dated carpet dirty and large dip in bathroom floor. We complained offered disabled room rear of hotel or pay extra £25 for newer refurbished room. Our friend booked just after us and got a beautiful bedroom. Bed hard
Bedroom
Location was great and jacuzzi with sauna was enjoyable
Maybe could clean blankets for puppies before giving to another person, as blanket left in room was dirty
Location facilities great staff Comfort of bed Toiletries Food Ambiance
Room lacked a mini fridge Very poor WiFi intermittent Lack of t.v. Channels No air con
Brilliant location for exploring the lake district. Pool and jacuzzi great!
Rooms need some tlc. In one of our rooms the shower screen leaked. Another of our rooms part of the shower fitting came off.
Lovely stay in a great area with stunning views. The perfect location for a relaxing getaway
We genuinely loved everything about our stay and couldn’t fault a single thing — there was nothing we didn’t like!
Love the location . The pool. The brekky.
The first floor has no aircon. Even though there are units. They do not work. It was very warm in the rooms. We opened the window . But, we still unfortunately had poor sleep. Which meant having 2 very tired people the next day . Shame you have to pay £50 extra per person to use a different pool and spa We also had a 2nd room booked on the second floor. Apparently this was an upgraded room. The room was pretty similar to the first floor room. Except this one did have aircon. Thank god it was not a 30° summers day!! With no air con
Beautiful setting in the best area in the lakes in my opinion!
I loved everything
Tired, dated, jacuzzi smelt awful, pool area wasn’t clean, pub was dirty, food was slow to arrive and mediocre, shower was blocked so flooded the bathroom, room service non-existent. Just a very poorly managed hotel. Also don’t reply to emails regarding my complaints. Spent £500 on room and food for one night and the whole stay was ruined.
Breakfast is significantly improved, buffet style with a choice of customs from a menu ie Full English or Belgium Waffles etc is all included, the Hotel is amazing, took my boy and the fold out camp bed was not ideal for what was supposedly a family room, although we had the same last year. Defo not a family room. The Bar for evening food is always good, although booking in advance is recommended. Gym and Pool and onsite paddle boarding is a great addition. Location is perfect, staff are great. Would be a nice to have a fridge in the room.
Fold out camp bed in a family room, not comfortable, although the room itself is great and the bed is very big, so lots of space in anycase. Wifi was off but this is the Lakes.
i payed to use the thermal spa but there was no availability to u it
Setting, relaxed atmosphere, lovely rooms, friendly staff
The hotel and surroundings
The room had no air con and we was up on the dormers boiling the windows wouldn’t open with 5 of us in one room, some staff friendly others really not friendly not even a greet hello at the bar or breakfast, a fire alarm went off because of a hairdryer in the spa and we were late for dinner because I had to jump out of the bath and run down the stairs with the children and I called up and said I’d be late for dinner and they said well we can’t have you for dinner till another 1.5 hours time so meal due at 6pm had to wait till 7.30 and the children were hungry and over tired as by time the food came was 8.30pm when I rang reception to say the reason she just said well there’s nothing I can do
Location, décor, spacious room.
* Cleaner barging into our room without knocking at 10:46am (checkout's 11am), whilst my husband who's having cancer treatment was resting. * No-one greeting at breakfast, had to ask for menus, had to ask for tea. * Eggs totally missed off the veggie breakfast despite being in description on menu * Being given someone else's bill at dinner * Dinner taking >45 minutes to arrive
The location is perfect. The hotel is beautiful. Plenty of areas to sit and relax around the hotel. The pool was lovely. The food in the bar was so tasty.
One of the showers in the pool changing rooms (both male and female) need fixing. Thr fan in the room was useless and didn't cool the room at all. A bit disappointing to be told they didn't have any more fans when we asked at reception!
Great location
Nothing
The location….was amazing.
Nothing it was amazing
Only location and spa
The rooms were not cleaned to an acceptable standard the bath in our room was blocked and never fixed even when I addressed the issue to the reception, and the communal showers were extremely dirty. Throughout our stay, I did not see any cleaning of the floors or replenishment of shampoo and soap, leaving me unable to shower my child after using the pool. Additionally, the internet was completely unavailable for a full day and the hallway carpets were not vacuumed at any point. See shared images of the floor around the pool
The spa was lovely as were the staff
The room had no aircon. When we woke we were all very unwell - headache, dehydrated and feeling nauseous. The room was hot and very uncomfortable.
The spa
Clean and lovely location. Staff exceptionally friendly. Breakfast outstanding.
A small z bed was put up for my 13 year old which was too small really. Would be fine for a small child
The room #20 was creaky floored, old looking. Wallpaper was peeling around the badly peeling window. Rooftop ‘view’ was quite bad. Very dirty and rubbish up there. Reception Staff were lovely, bar staff were dismissive in the evening. The food wasn’t great but very expensive. At breakfast, well we didn’t get our cooked full English but the other patrons that came in after we ordered, did! We got a refund on breakfast thankfully, but won’t be coming back
Tired, creaky floors. Wallpaper coming off. Flashing paintwork on the window, no view but what we did see could do with a lot of attention. Bathroom edges were mouldy, siding on the bath was coming away, scratched up because the shower door was stripped of its rubber, bottom of the door was rotting.
The hotel was fantastic, room was spacious and comfortable. Spa was incredible. Food was great and staff brilliant.
The decor 😍
Cosy
The area. The food was lovely.
Great location, the hotel is very nice, room clean, well equipped. Staff is very nice and helpful. Spa is great, too. Lovely gesture of pub staff to give my niece some sweet treats on a wooden plate which said Happy Birthday. Complementary bday card from the hotel was so nice, too.
There was nothing we didn't like, we'd go back again! :)
Beautiful location. Rooms lovely. Staff super friendly. Bar food was great - but book as soon as you can. Great atmosphere

The area
Looked a little tired,
The location is lovely, very picturesque, and the main areas of the hotel have been refurbished and look lovely, as per the pictures. The breakfast was also nice enough (banana pancakes was only served with 1/2 a banana though...and you had to pay extra for any coffee other than filter).
The "Fabulous" room was incredibly disappointing. Very tired with stains on the carpet and old furniture, an AC unit that didn't work and no fan placed in the room as an alternative. The booking also stated there would be a coffee machine, but it was just a kettle and sachets of instant coffee. For £263 a night, I would have expected a much nicer room, like those advertised all over the website and booking.com. The fire alarm also went off 5 times during our stay - 3 times between 12:30am and 3am. The first time, when we went and waited outside while the alarm sounded, nobody came out to tell us everything was OK. The 2nd and 3rd time the alarm stopped after about a minute or 2, and when it happened again at 9:45am and 10:15am was shorter, but no explanation was offered and no apology or compensation for being disturbed several times during the night.
Great Spa and good value.
Fire alarm went off 4x during the night and completely ruined the experience, also the beds were very uncomfortable.
The food was good
Over priced room. Did not meet expectations. Very hot. Rubbish sign saying air con not working. Wifi absolutely shocking - only one of us could get on our phones in the room! No Netflix which is basic! Old furniture that they left after the refurbishment. Just did a lick of paint and wallpaper. You only get anything if you upgrade! We are locals and we have been to the pub for years and just decided on a room. Won’t be returning for accommodation.
The swimming pool and the fact you could go for a walk locally, plus the food was very good and our room was comfortable.
The food was expensive for dinner.
Gorgeous location. Nicely decorated. Good facilities
The wardrobe in the room made a creaking noise whenever you walked past it. Some of the floors were uneven
Great location and facilities . Breakfast was excellent
Fire went off early evening. It was a false alarm fortunately. No hit water in the morning . Temporary issue.
The staff were really amazing
Spiderwebs everywhere, breakfast is basic and the dinner menu was truly dissapointing
The staff were all friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and fresh looking, comfortable surroundings. Children made welcome and catered for.
Too many dogs and they were allowed in the dining room.
Great location, restaurant and charming landscape.
Some of the facilities are old and would deserve renovation
The staff in the Bar and Restaurant were efficient and generally engaging. The staff on the Front desk were hit and miss, either very good and practical, or very poor and not very dynamic. Comfortable bed Breakfast was good. Setting
Poor dated rooms. not as advertised. On one occasion the Inability of the front desk to be helpful and no real thought process shown from one particular member. Constantly incorrect or slow orders in the restaurant (waiting up to 2 hours for food) orders regularly not fulfilled properly (this was NOT just a one off occasion either.) Room was not cleaned one of the mornings.
Clean. Great location. Lovely surroundings.food was reasonably priced as was the spa.
Room 204. This room is right next to the pumps which service the pool. All night there is humming. Then from 7am to 9:30pm there is a loud noise coming from the room which I can only describe as 50 hair dryers all on at the same time. Very disappointed to say the least.
Location
Staff were all friendly and amazing service and food wonderful perfect
Location
Nothing all good
Bed , bathroom, food. Swimming pool. Reception
Extra coffee charge on pre booked breakfast. No Spa available
We stayed in the Love Nest with our two small dogs it was fabulous the food was excellent and staff very friendly I've already booked for next year
My only complaint was the service in the bar it seems no one as there own part of the restaurant it seems like it's a free for all I think they should have nominated areas but the staff were very friendly
Lovely location, great facilities.
The team seemed rather disconnected, especially food service relating to delayed or forgotten orders. I am guessing lots of new summer staff, though generally rather poorly coordinated from above perhaps.

Great location, good food, pool looked nice although didn't use it.
Room had aircon fitted but turned off and not in use. After a couple of requests we got a fan but the room was still stuffy.
The location is stunning, the staff were friendly and very helpful, the food was ok and the bar has a broad selection of beers, wines and spirits.
The room that we stayed in did not offer good value for money. The bed was on the small side, the bathroom was tiny and smelled of damp and if you have the window open you get the music & noise from the gym at 8am.
Bed was comfortable, setting was idyllic
Room was tired and in need of a refurb. It was way too warm even though we were given a fan. They need to invest in air con, there were units fitted but apparently they had been decommissioned . Breakfast was hit and moss and service slow
It’s good everything it’s going well, while I have booked the property the mention there was AC, but when we received our room the AC not working and they said they will call the engineer to come, no one come and we ask them to transfer to another room they said sorry we fully booked and we ask to provide a fan they said we don’t have it’s really disappointing. To spend 2 night with hot weather.
Loved the hotel loved the location
Not a lot
Really lovely hotel & spa facilities- food was very good, staff were friendly & helpful, location was superb.
Nothing we didn’t like!
Location
1st room unacceptable, dirty stained pillows with blood, seats in room manky,we paid to upgrade to a better room
The property was nice and clean. I liked sitting by river, it was really peaceful. The food was also good.
I didn’t like how hot it was in the room and how there was no air conditioner working on a hot summer day. There was a small fan that made a noise more than it did the job. When I asked whether it’s okay to switch rooms, they said there was no room for a family of 3 which didn’t make sense to me since my 2 toddlers and I slept on the double bed and any other room would’ve had a double bed. We slept really bad those two nights and I wish it wasn’t the highlight of our stay.
Great location, lots of parking. Facilities are great - onsite gym, small swimming pool, spa and treatment available for booking, there’s also a pool table in the lobby. Lots to do in the hotel Staff were friendly and helpful
Breakfast wasn’t very good, very limited options. Ordered poached eggs on sourdough, doesn’t taste very good, the avocado was still very raw, eggs has no seasoning
Breakfast was good and the staff were friendly, the location is lovely right by the river, the room was nice with plenty of room overlooking the river. We enjoyed our stay and would love to stay again but the prices in the restaurant and added 12.5% is a concern otherwise loved it.
The price for food and drinks were expensive and 12.5% added to the bill was not acceptable, we waited 45 minutes on our second night for our food to arrive, I think due to a big party upstairs, I think it could have been managed better.
I loved everything about our stay at the Swan I didn’t want to come home! From the spa experience to our evening meal to our overnight stay everything was perfect! It made our anniversary so special so thank you so much!
Nothing
Location
It was tired and needs investment Broken window in hotel room Broken lamp shade Stained seats in the room Stool missing for dressing table Plugs in sinks not working correctly Black mould on the ceiling in changing rooms Broken showers in changing rooms Holes in the floor on the corridor Not enough staff in the restaurant Toilets in main reception in poor condition
Location is great but only reachable by car or bus.
The rooms and the restaurant design are awful, bad taste, outdated, weird. The room and bathroom were mouldy, not the cleanest. Bathroom shower is not draining so water finds its way to the room.
The service was shocking slow the right hand didn’t know what the left was doing no bath towels on arrival the twin door was left open simple things but not checked
Lovely hotel in a fab location
Nothing
It was the most lovely experience, it was my girlfriend 50th the day after, great doa to start the fay. Exceptional breakfast
Perfect location. Comfortable room and bed. View over the spa. Staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. Food in the bar area was lovely. Gorgeous seating area outside along the river. I have a mobility scooter and they were relaxed about me using it in the hotel
Shower not very powerful. Everything else was perfect
Location
Slow service in restaurant, leisure centre in need of an upgrade. No air con working in the room
Loved the location although entering over the bridge is challenging. Parking is good and registering the vehicle at reception is easy. Receptionists were very accommodating and upgraded the room when we explained that it was too small.
Original room was tucked away at the end of a corridor and most claustrophobic. Awful view over a dirty rooftop. Second was bigger and comfier but located in a DOG friendly corridor. Animals left alone on rooms were constantly crying and barking. Room walls are so thin so no respite from the noise. Air con was decommissioned so the room was too hot. Fan requested did not appear. Kettle base in the room but no kettle yet tea and coffee etc had been provided. Didn't notice until morning tea was needed. Restaurant was so disappointing and the bar bistro was full of dogs and owners. Some owners with dogs on seats at the table. Decided to use the main restaurant and the staff were very good but the meals were terrible. Overcooked fish and chips and the manager apologised saying the chef was new. Deserts ordered came wrong three times and in the end we cancelled in frustration. Manager tried to help by removing drinks cost but that didn't make the food experience acceptable. Splitting the bill was a terrible experience with the staff trying to remove our friends £15 car parking. Relaxing in the lounge area was a very unpleasant experience with selfish dog owners allowing animal to sit and lie on the sofas and chairs although they were wet from the rain after being taken outside.
Perfect location. Comfortable room and bed. View over the spa. Staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. Food in the bar area was lovely. Gorgeous seating area outside along the river. I have a mobility scooter and they were relaxed about me using it in the hotel
Had an amazing Spa Day with my partner, We had travelled up from Edinburgh and was welcomed by the Lovely Erin on the desk! She was so attentive, So straight forward with the details regarding the Spa itself, and overall just great with us as Guests, couldn’t have asked for better customer service! 😊 Deryn was also lovely and welcoming and helped us when we had issues with our locker bands Definitely will be visiting again and hope it’s the same girls that welcome me next time as i felt so comfortable!! Great experience and i must say the Spa and Hotel is in a great location and very easy to reach
I visited with my friends on Wednesday 5th August.. I must say the Staff are incredibly sweet to say at the least!! And make your Thermal Journey worth while. I was greeted by Erin on the desk for our morning spa session and she was very thorough with her presentation of where to go, how things worked etc. The spa itself wasn’t what i had really expected it wasn’t great but wasn’t awful! Would say i would definitely come back and use the spa facilities again but does definitely need some maintenance doing! My partner had made the comment about the Men’s Tiles in the shower being cracked down the floor which is a major risk and can result in injuries. Erin was Amazing and listened to these issues and had passed this all onto the relevant people hoping these issues will be resolved in the nearer future! The drinks service was also incredible and drinks were served very fast 😊

Great staff! Location
Maintainance issues , slow service when busy, changing rooms for pool spa shabby
Lovely location and friendly staff at reception. The bed was very comfy and the breakfast was great as we could choose from a menu rather than just go to the buffet area.
When we wanted to sit down at a table at the bar with our drinks we were told by a member of staff that we were not allowed and should go to the lounge. We found this a little rude as we were hotel residents and had sat at the bar the night before no problem. There were also plenty of free tables.
I have stayed at The Swan many times and I love the place, the staff are always so polite and efficient. The hotel decor is stunning so are the rooms. The spa is wonderfull too. Never had a problem before
My friend and I were on a Spa day followed by dinner and room for the night. This was ruined by another party at the hotel who were extremely noisy and unruly. They were eventually asked to leave the Spa. Their actions ruined our spa experience. We booked dinner at 7.30 and were seated next to the noisy party, we asked to be moved, which we were. Later we went to the lounge and eventually had to move again as they crowded that area too. Then the fire alarm went off! The whole weekend was a disaster

Spacious rooms • Easy parking • Good food options • A relaxed vibe
Parking was easy , room was good with little noise. Pool good , changing rooms need upgraded and shower should have 2 heads , so dont get soaked. Breakfast amazing. Evening meal when it came was excellent.
Not really a dislike , more a query . Are you a 4 star spa hotel or a dog, child friendly hotel? The two dont exactly match. Breakfast very organised . Meal at night chaotic and on sunday told we couldn't sit outside to eat. I even offered to take everything out myself and bring it back
The room was very nice with a river view.
The service for our evening meal was poor. There was a 50 minute wait for our food which was very underwhelming for the cost and then a 10% service charge was added to the bill!
