It served as a base for my weekend in Durban.

The surfaces in the room were not properly wiped, and there were still visible marks from a glass that had been placed there the previous day. Please ensure that all surfaces are thoroughly wiped and checked before the room is considered clean. The bathroom floors also need to be scrubbed thoroughly. We noticed some dark areas and corners that require more attention. Please ensure that these areas are properly cleaned and that the entire bathroom floor is inspected before completion.

Aircon did not heat the room

Breakfast was excellent. The proximity to the mall and surrounding shops, beach and restaurants

TV remote was not working well. The shampoos, body cream containers were empty but was filled after the request

Property was located in a brilliant area. Close to great restaurants and bars (Butcher Boys is a must). You are also 2mon from the beach and promenade for surfing or morning runs. The hotel links in to the new shopping centre for all your needs. Team were extremely friendly and property is very clean with super views on a clear day. I didn’t get to try the bar or restaurant on site but imagine it’s also great.

Everything was convenient! Loved the checkout time, staff is so friendly, restaurants food is amazing and the hotel is gorgeous and clean. Love love looovve it

It was cold and their aircon does not heat up the rooms, only cold air.

The rooms were lovely, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. The hotel is centrally located and conveniently within walking distance of the beach, shopping malls and restaurants.

We stayed at the hotel over the weekend, and unfortunately, the noise from Tiger’s Milk was extremely loud. We could hear songs word for word from our room, which repeatedly woke our baby. On top of that, cars were racing up and down the road until around 3:00 a.m. Out of the four nights we stayed, we only had one decent night’s sleep. Sadly, this made our stay far less enjoyable than we had hoped.

The hotel is located beautifully

When booking i requested for sea view and a quite room as I have difficulty in sleeping. I paid for full sea view and not partial. Instead I was given partial Seaview and full street facing,which was very noisy.I asked and was put through a manager who said that it is sea view. My toilet was not not flushing well as I had to call house keeping. There were no slippers or gowns and when I asked they sent gowns and said they were out of stock of slippers. The water was an issue as they give 2x bottles of water only and sparkling. I paid for breakfast for 3x days but couldn't make it as I couldn't sleep with the street facing noise. I paid for a room with sra facing, breakfast and made request for peace but that was not considered by the hotel. I always stay at the raddison but it was very disappointing as the standards have dropped.

The noise pollution from every person trying to show off their cars in the middle of the night up until 4:30 am in the morning. Revving their cars and burning out… the windows are not sound proof. You will hear all the commotion outside

Location, ambience, neatness

The carpet in the room was not cleaned properly. There was a hole in the curtain. I am not keen on having a used roll of toilet paper being put in from a previous guest. That is utterly inappropriate and unhygienic, as there was a half a roll of toilet paper on the holder.

We had a wonderful stay at the Radisson Blu in Durban. The hotel is modern, clean, and beautifully maintained, with stunning views that make the stay even more enjoyable. What stood out the most was the friendly and professional staff, who were always welcoming and happy to assist. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped, making it easy to relax after a day out. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and everything was spotless. The location is also excellent, with easy access to the beach and nearby attractions.

Uber doesn’t pick up the hotel when needing to go somewhere else. You have to select The Pearl’s and then call / message the driver to come to a the Radisson.

The breakfast was exceptional. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Room wasn’t ready when we arrived after 2pm. We booked 2 rooms and was told the one was ready which I gave to my clients. We were told to come back after 3pm but that our room would be upgraded. When we got back at 3:15 the room still wasn’t available so they gave us another room which was a downgrade again. Very poorly managed.

They have to improve on cleaning our room, we leave the room at 8:00am and hung the “please make me up” sign but when we arrived at 2:00pm no one entered the room to do cleaning they always do that I don’t know if they don’t have enough cleaners or what they have to change that it’s been years sleeping there but always same thing no.

Security guard who completely disregarded what I tried to explain to him when he was giving the uber that was waiting for me a hard time. He totally made me feel like what I wanted to say was useless and did not matter. Very dismissive, tried to report the matter twice to the front end manager but he never bothered to come here my story until we checkout. That was the only downside
