Beautiful Room, Comfy bed, Large shower, Loved having that we could have breakfast in the room. Perfect location and value for money
breakfast good, location excellent
quality of soaps etc & unable to turn down the air conditioning
Everything could not fault anything the location was perfect everything you needed. Both the restaurant and cocktail bar were excellent and the view from the terrace of the cocktail bar was a beautiful view of the cathedral.
Nothing
Great room, we had a balcony and lovely view over the Catherdral and city rooftops. Roof top bar is excellant
We had booked for DBB, Went down for dinner to then wait 45 minutes with a menu. We were informed two people were off that night with sickness leaving the one poor waiter to do it all: bar, taking orders, serving food. We ended up leaving and going somewhere else.
The bedroom and bathroom were very comfortable
I made the booking as due to challenging trains issues I was going to have to stop in Exeter - I sent a message on booking.com and on email to say I’d have to check in very late. I got no reply. When I got there at 2am after the train company had to put taxis on, the front door was closed but there was a sign for the side door. However despite pressing buttons nothing worked and I had to call - I was let in but the receptionist was making a point of telling me that I might nearly have missed him.
Kindly let us shower downstairs despite check in only being later that day + could store luggage
Great central location, friendly staff, good breakfast
No parking
Style and location plus soundproof
Air con wasn’t great at night it got a bit warm
Nicely decorated, very central location and friendly staff.
Nothing
The hotel is in lovely condition and decorated beautifully. Lovely spacious rooms.
I was surprised at the extra charges for both parking and use of the spa as a guest of a hotel.
Almost every thing was great.
Parking. No place nearby to drop off luggage.
Closeness to the Cathedral and city centre
Additional costs for spa and parking
Roof top bar
Nothing
I liked the decor and all the facilities within the hotel. It was a great find.

The entrance coming into the hotel gives the feel of a luxury hotel.. like the style and look for the hotel
When getting to the room.. first look was nice but more time your in the room you start seeing lack of attention.. celling lamp with random bulbs and unfinished, bathroom wall .. rush job on the paint that you can see roller marks . Fire alarm going off at around 8am that there was no reason and also when asking staff at reception why this fire alarm went off .. they where not aware and came across they trying to blame the venue next door when I had flashing red lights and very loud fire going off for 5 minutes in my room..
The hotel had a lovely calming feel to it and everyone was very engaging and polite. We wanted something in the city centre by the cathedral. This ticked all the boxes. The room was flawless and decorated beautifully. We used the spa, its great price for other places in the southwest and the staff were wonderful!
Nothing
Really nice hotel right in the middle of the city centre. The room was comfortable and clean with very useful mini fridge. The bathroom was great and included a large rainfall shower.
The room itself was clean and tidy but underneath the bed could definitely have done with being cleaned. One of the things under there was a latex glove, which sets the mind racing about what that was used for.
The staff were BRILLIANT. They were helpful and very kind. The low level shower was also BRILLIANT.
There was no fresh air in my room. I really wanted to open a window. The air con is re-cycled air and when I turned it off the room was stuffy. The fridge was hard to close - it often didn't seal properly. I would have liked tea bags added each day (So I purchased some locally). The high shower was very weak - like soft rain (maybe it was meant to be like this)
Luxurious rooms. Satisfying breakfast with waitress service offering a menu cooked to perfection.
Breakfast menu had no kippers. No car park. We both suffer from arthritis and it was painful walking over a mile with our suitcases.☹️
Comfortable, clean, beautifully furnished, friendly and helpful staff and in a great location, Loved the place!

Location, staff very friendly and helpful, great Room extremely clean!
Breakfast. Toaster?? Toast should be brought to you when the hotel is this good elsewhere, coffee in a machine? the same goes. Also the one slow coffee machine was broken.
Me and my boyfriend stayed for one night. We were blown away by the size and the beautiful decoration of the room. Comfortable big bed and amazing bathroom. The receptionists were kind and helpful. We also added the breakfast which was buffet style and you could order a cooked dish from the menu as well, highly recommend. Was located right by the cathedral and close to shopping streets. Would definitely stay here again!
Nothing to complain about, liked the entire stay.
Das Frühstück war sehr gut und mit einer Auswahl, bei der jeder Etwas findet. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, sodass man die Stadt fußläufig gut erkunden kann.
Great location, very clean and comfortable and helpful staff
Nothing. It was all good
I liked the location shower and rooftop bar.
My view was a wall The room was small Service could have been better Window was tiny
This is the perfect place to stay in Exeter, very comfortable room, central location, great staff, outstanding breakfast and brilliant ambience.
Great location and lovely helpful staff . Ate at the hotel the first night and the food was delicious and the staff were on the right side of attentive. The air con was very much needed during the heatwave and it was a relief to come into the hotel and our room.
We ordered breakfast as room service and the hot food was cold. And the croissant was stale. Very expensive mistake on our part. The tv only worked if cast from our phones which intermittently worked.
Goed gelegen.
Lift is klein.
Excellent location very close to the Cathedral and centre. Probably the best roof top view in Exeter at the roof top bar. Very clean. Very comfortable bed and room. Friendly and helpful staff.
Nothing
Decor comfort and location. Friendly staff and lovely rooms
Nice property, great location
Front desk staff could smile maybe?
Its central position, welcoming atmosphere, comfy room. Loved the bedside lights that pulled out and the easy to use shower controls.
The art was all very weird. Great apart from that.
The hotel and staff were 1st class from start to the end of our stay!
parking is always an issue staying at Hotel Indigo in Exeter, but you know what you're getting when you make the booking...
Central Location
No hairdryer in room, rooftop bar was overcrowded and only bar service. We didn’t stay for a drink.
The location in the city centre was very good for visiting places of interest, it was literally on the doorstep of Exeter Cathedral. The room was clean and comfortable, we had a balcony overlooking the main street but it was still very quiet in the evening. Some of the staff were very pleasant, others were disinterested in helping out. Due to the hotels location in a pedestrian zone, taxis could not drop off or pick at the hotel, however, there was a pick up point a two minute walk away. No big deal.
The food and service. On arrival we went to the ‘Rooftop Bar’, ordered drinks and asked for a Charcuterie. The drinks were immediate but we waited 30 minutes before the barman made a call and eventually it arrived. We had booked the restaurant for dinner. We ordered our food and after 40-45 minutes it had not arrived. When it did, we had ordered lasagne, it was dreadful. Overcooked and stuck to the ‘Staub’ cast iron dishes, the food was cold and the cast iron could be handled with bare hands. My side dish of vegetables was inedible, the broccoli was solid and looked and felt like wood. We refused the offer of the dessert menu. We complained to the waitress and got a “very sorry”. Breakfast was not much better, we decided to eat breakfast at the premises next door to the hotel.
Near to where wanted to be
Spa separated minor issue though
Staff where so helpful and friendly , so clean, room was absolutely beautiful, rooftop bar to watch the sunset 10/10. Location fantastic. One of my best stays.

Very nice staff at reception. Great room, we had the family room with 2x2 beds, great fun to sleep in a row with the family. Great location next to the cathedral, in the city center.
Parking is a bit far.
Excellent location, lovely and knowledgeable staff well designed.
No fresh air available as windows are sealed, no fan for the bathroom, quite dark rooms even when the light is on.
Hotel and rooms where amazing, staff were all lovely and well looked after

Location was excellent
We went to use the roof top bar and it was closing we wasn’t told it closed early and seemed full which was a little disappointing.
The hotel was fantastic. I had booked last minute for work and the price suggested it should be fine - but the place had such character. The staff were amazing (letting me check in after midnight after a plane and were still hugely friendly) and the facilities were excellent - will be going back with my family for a holiday down there in due course.
Not the hotel's fault - but getting taxis there is a challenge (they are in a pedestrian zone). Luckily the staff are very friendly and they have a local company who knows the routine.
The location is superb. A well-decorated room with AC is perfect for family in summer.
None
Really confy bed, and the room decor is well set out, bathroom was large and clean. The TV was great and we used the coffe e machine, and kettle facilities.
Maybe a microwave, but we didn't really need it ourselves.
The breakfast was amazing really nice stuff particularly one waitress was brilliant
Think it was faultless
The decor and situation
Couldn’t find fault with anything

Location
Lack of car parking
Location. Quirkiness of the room.
A view of a brick wall from our room was a big disappointment. The cocktails served in the rooftop bar were pretty rubbish for the price.
Perfect location, very nice hotel
Just some small black dots of mold (I presume) on the shower floor
Die Ausstattung und das Design.
Achtung! Schade!
The location was excellent and it is easy to go sightseeing. The room is clean and comfortable.
Customer service was exceptional with very attentive staff and beautiful rooms .This hotel provides everything you need for a comfortable stay artistic designed rooms comfy beds great shower and air conditioning worked great which we needed during the heat wave. We stayed for four nights in July the location was excellent for walking around Exeter catching the buses ,trains and after our days out being able to cool off in the lobby greeted by cold lemon water provided by the hotel to hydrate these little touches make such a difference! We did not try the breakfasts but we did have lunch in Dottie’s restaurant in the hotel the food was fresh and tasty! Lovely roof top bar great with great views of the city we loved our stay and will be back and will recommend to family and friends:)

Stylish decor. Really convenient location for exploring Exeter. Comfortable and quiet room. I would definitely use again if we go to Exeter overnight.
We were sorry the roof bar closed at 9 as we would like to have had a view of the Cathedral lit up.
The staff in both the hotel and spa were very helpful, friendly but professional. The location was fantastic and was within walking distance of everything. Amazing city view from our room.
The lights in our room were in an odd position which meant lighting wasn't great in some areas of the room. The bathroom is quite small and could have been more updated and cleaner for a top floor room.
Alles war fein!
Wir hatten von unserem - sehr schönen- Zimmer aus keine Aussicht.

Nothing
Location and our room 805
The balcony was a bit tatty, the bathroom sink was blocked didn’t drain away for ages. In the bar they’d run out of a few items eg soda, Prosecco
Location was great.
Mould around the shower area. Also the light above the bed was soooo low I kept banging my head on it.
It's close to everything
love all
Was comfortable enough.
No view from the room
I loved the location and the decor.
The rooms were beautiful but dirty. The breakfast was inedible.
Stanza spaziosa, pulita e ben rifinita, ottima climatizzazione
Mancano chiare spiegazioni per chi arriva in automobile. Prezzo molto alto. Poca ventilazione in bagno. Comando acqua calda e fredda nella doccia invertiti
The hotel has an excellent location, very close to the cathedral and shops, and I loved the rooftop bar.
Location
Location is excellent, right in the middle of Exeter’s shopping area and decor was lovely.
Every bedroom and hallway door is hinged to bang! All night and morning was constant door bangs. Breakfast looked good initially but everything, once you bit into it, you could tell was pre cooked & reheated, chewy & cold. Staff tried their best but couldn’t make up for the shortcomings.
Great location
No car parking Roof top bar was very poorly run
The location was great. Maybe the best hotel location for city center. The breakfast was excellent for a 4 star hotel. Comfortable rooms. Very pleasant staff.
The approach by car is difficult although we could manage with small laggages to get to our rental. People with heavy luggage’s cannot approach the closest taxi point that even the pickup appointment.
Location
Couldn’t check in to room till 4! Which delayed out roof top bar booking at 4. Afternoon tea booked at 12-1 and Spa booked 1-3. Afternoon tea did not arrive till 12:55 and subsequently had to have majority packed into containers
Central. Pleasant decor
Understaffed. Staff were all excellent. Polite. Helpful. But I have stayed 3-4 times now and there are never enough on duty. Drinks take ages, reception always has a queue and rarely more than one staff member. The restaurant service is painfully slow. Not because of the staff - they are just over worked. As for the food. All fine except for cooked breakfast. The scrambled egg felt like it was from powdered pre mix. And the avocado was just paste. Again, probably a pre mix. Not worth the money.
Air con, clean, comfortable
Location and rooms were excellent and food quality was great
Restaurant service was awful (painfully slow). It took about 45 minutes to get drinks and over an hour for starters. Needs significant improvement because even with the food quality being high, customers will choose to eat elsewhere.
Lovely hotel
No issues
Lovely hotel in the very centre of Exeter. High quality rooms. Have stayed several times and always of a very high standard. I would say one of the best places to stay for central Exeter. I would say this hotel is better suited to couples rather than families.
No parking and nearest is a multistorey about 10 min walk away, so if you have lots of suitcases perhaps that would be worth a thought. Dependent on room, it can be a little noisy at the weekend because you are right in the centre of town and one side of the hotel sits above restaurants and bars (there are black blinds to mitigate though).
Everything.
Really comfortable bed, in the centre of Exeter. Really easy to get to and from. Check in was a really easy process. Really pleased.
A few marks in the rooms which could be improved.
It was central for everything good stop over on the way to Newquay
Nothing was a problem
Decor
Our bathroom mouldy as fan broken informed hotel
Style and feel great staff
Nothing not to like
Everything was lovely and clean, the staff were excellent
The breakfast was quite good with a great selection but maybe not the best part of the stay.
It’s become a firm favourite of ours. Tried and tested to perfection.
No complaints whatsoever.
Lovely hotel friendly staff and excellent location for what we were loooking for
Very nice establishment would definitely come back
Nothing it was great
Very inviting as soon as you enter very nice and polite staff
Location Nice bed Decor
Windows cannot open at all. Felt very claustrophobic Shower tray mouldy
Location and decor
The shower was black around the sealer at the base, the tiles were not cleaned properly so it made the whole room feel unclean. It doesn’t take long to scape out the sealer, clean it properly and reseal, it would make such a difference.
De ligging.
Het uiterlijk van het hotel
It was our wedding night stay and the room was beautifuly done, they left a note for us, petals on the bed and just married balloons, we were very very grateful and it felt so special.
Most of the staff we encountered were absolutely fantastic and very helpful and lovely, however there was 1 or 2 staff that were completely opposite.
Great Location, great hotel, great staff, nice decor, big comfortable room with all the amenities. A great breakfast the best day too.
Parking is not that close but that isn't the fault of the hotel.
Localização e limpeza
Location was excellent. Breakfast good.
the staff are wonderful and very helpful - room very clean and Ac was fab! and a great shower
the bathroom was little tired but the facility was great
The bed / coffee machine. Staff were friendly.
The room very dark with dim lighting. The reason why I booked this was for the spa and the rooftop bar, both were unavailable during my duration, really disappointed.
