pedicure with Megan was excellent. The bar staff were all very pleasant and helpful considering they were under a lot of pressure when the bar area was very busy when coach party was in.

Breakfast was more than adequate but didn't like the hot buffet as most items were there for a long time and well past their best. A better selection of breads would have been nice.

Friendly staff, spacious room, large comfortable bed, luxurious spa and excellent dining!

All staff members were extremely helpful. The room was absolutely stunning and immaculate. We loved the garden with all the garden games and activities. This was my first visit and I will definitely be booking again.

Only criticism is that there wasnt any robes available at the spa, not the end of the world but would have been nice.

the breakfast team managed the full family of 6, 2 children and four adults fabulously. the swimming pool was excellent for the children, the lodge for the family of four was a great size and a lovely location. The reception staff, Sarah and Emily were amazing and very helpful. Buzz was great with the children (he will know who we mean.)

Lodge not cleaned properly, dirty cutlery and cupboards. No salt and pepper in the dispensers. No remote to use the tv in the master bedroom. Sand in the jacuzzi and not strong jets

Nice spa facilities. The rooms are big and have fridges and a dedicated AC which is great. The sofa converts to a double bed. The balcony was very nice.

However, there was no direct lift to the top floor where our room was. Also, there were quite a few steps between the car park and the hotel, so there was no easy way to bring a trolley or wheeled luggage from the car to the room.

Spacious room, friendly staff. Enjoyed the spa, breakfast and restaurant food was ok quality. Great music selection across site. Bus stop close by for travelling to other locations. Went to Eden and Haligan Gardens, but sadly didn't make it to Crinnis Beach; it would have been good to have been made aware of this possibility.

Tennis court unusable - very disappointing; couldn't locate the woodland path for a long on-site trail walk. A few minor issues such as not enough plug sockets on both sides of the bed. Had to challenge racist comments from a guest while using the spa.

Hotel room was fabulous with a really comfy bed, we had a first floor balcony and great to sit out. Staff really helpful and friendly, food was excellent both at breakfast and when we ate in the evening 😃👍 Children’s play area is looking great and all very tidy for children 🧒

Swimming limitations since last visit were a little disappointing for our grandchildren and this policy is not helpful, definitely needs review please 🙏

The rooms have odd decor. Does not gel and wierd dated pine tiny desk mirror. Someone with a design eye who could work with the wall paper and £200 could really elevate those rooms and make them far more cohesive

The hotel and grounds were lovely - love the old and new architecture. The spa was wonderful. All the staff were friendly and welcoming.

On the day we arrived we decided to have a drink in the bar,service was very slow,there was only one person serving,I waited a long time to get two drinks. Also I decided to have a ham and cheese open sandwich which was £11.00 when it came it was very small and definitely not worth the money. we stayed for 4 nights,we never ate or drank in the hotel again.

When we arrived and got in the lodge, complained about if some one could clean it but I was promised that they will send the cleaners tomorrow. Until i was there for 4 days no one came to clean. I would not recommend this place in anyway possible. One of the worst places i have spend money on.

The hotel needs a little TLC especially the room balconies. Breakfast needs to be improved. Food Under heat lamps far to long not being checked. Choice of fruit very limited. Staff are mostly very young and not planning for this to be their future so its just a job.

Welcoming team members and catered towards all our needs. Really good service. Facilities and kids are friendly. They had outdoor games and playground. The Lodge was amazing and so comfortable.

Location of the park and the location of our lodge was the best with the jacuzzi with free view. Jacuzzi on this lodge was really nice. We liked the walks to kingswoods and we did many daytrips to many places, so for us very good.

The spa was crowden with locals. That is not per se a bad thing but our family was limited to a few hours a day in the pool and even than 2/3 of the pool was closed for local lane swimmers. Fitness center was overcrowded with local muscle boys and girls. All in all we barely use d the spa since it was not really relaxing. We had to do a proper hoover of the house when we arrived to remove dust and spiders that were there for a long time. Crumbs on the chairs. If you stayed after us, please give a shout out to the proper cleaning. The beds are 160cm singleq bed single matras. This was for us this was such a step back in comfort that we did not sleep well. Last point are the fridge and dishwasher. The fridge had 2 shelves, but the freezer 4. So way to small. Secondly the plates were to big for the dishwasher, so it blocks the dishwasher from spinning. Better check this for hygiene before using any cutlery or dishes.

We have respite care here as carers and we are parents but found the pool area this time to busy with kids running about (not ideal after having treatments). Also requested a double bed but had twin beds pushed together so big uncomfortable dip in the centre of the bed. Also noticed more dogs staying this time and having watched a dog owner let his huskys eat food from the plate was off putting. Can understand if this is what they do at home but not in a hotel eating area. Also people with allergies would struggle with the amount of dogs that now stay.

Breakfast was great, the turfed outdoor area was nice, the additional children's swings were a bonus and the pool was nice.

The lift does not take you up to a planar level, you need to ascend a flight of steps. The bar was hot without an a/c and the TV in the bar was way too small to watch the world cup on. Room cleaning was inconsistent, sometimes good sometimes poor.

The staff were all very welcoming, friendly and helpful. There is plenty of space to park a car. The towels provided in the bedroom are off a good size and quality.

The tables in the restaurant are chipped, scratched, stained and sticky, they need to be covered with a white tablecloth. The bar menu is limited, as is the restaurant menu if you are staying for more than one night. The quality and taste of the food served is good, but only arrives luke warm, even when served on hot plates, both for breakfast and evening meals. The decor is dark and tired, especially in the bedrooms.

The room is spacious with a large balcony. It's fully equipped with Daikin air conditioner, one for each room. It makes our stay very comfortable.

Swimming times for children are limited. Am and PM. Check in is late @4pm Felt very rushed if you sit down @ 10am for breakfast. Had to ask for egg beans ect as it had ran out. This was on two separate days. But a really nice tasty breakfast.

Lovely place in lovely quiet location. Upgrade into room close to spa was appreciated. Robes were provided in the room and we walked to the spa in our swimming costumes. Lockers are provided and accessed with hotel keycard. Room was clean and had a balcony. Restaurant food was excellent.

A tranquil retreat! Rom was spacious and the swimming pool was fantastic. Loved having the option to lounge outside. Dinner was also great; fresh fish dishes on offer. We visited The Eden Project.

This has never been a requirement in the past and at no time was i made aware that this was essential , the staff said they would refund my money but I feel iv been greatly let down in all aspects of customer service and its quite upsetting

My husband and i visited for our 10 year wedding anniversary. I was so special and the staff were al so friendly and accomodating. They gave us a lovely card and some chocolates in our room on arrival. The facilities are amazing. We visited in beautiful weather. There was music on the green, lawn games and the food is outstanding. We didnt take ours but there is a lovely play area for the kiddos. Spa is gorgeous. Will deffo visit again.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Great full English breakfast as well as a comprehensive continental style, all included. Comfortable beds and pillows, clean rooms, great bathroom with shower over bath and a balcony. Food is locally sourced and there is a choice of restaurant (you should book) or bar food ( no need to book). Any food and drink except breakfast must be paid for at the time. The spa and pool area was clean and maintained. The was an area outside with sun loungers as well. Reception shared a discount code for Eden Project.

The menu in the restaurant was the same all week, except the soup and catch of the day. The bar food had both light bites and a selection of the restaurant food. Strangely, there was only open sandwiches rather than regular ones on the light bites menu, even though these could be ordered as room service. These were small niggles though

Comfortable and very large bed. Nice big bathroom. Big room with lots of space. Very good breakfast, especially the fact that you can order from a separate menu for other requests is a big bonus. Very friendly staff that was very helpful. Overall we would really recommend.

- For it being a very large room, it's strange that there was limited closet space. There were only a few hangers and no shelves. We still had to live out of our suitcases, which is really a shame. - The electric chargers for the car had an idle fee. - The spa was a bit outdated. The chairs were not very comfortable and there weren't a lot. I was hoping for a relaxing space where you could lay, but there were just a few chairs right at the pool.

The lodge was very comfortable and clean and quiet. The swimming pool was superb and had long opening times. Restaurant on site was useful.

The hotel reception seemed a bit shabby and the lodges didn't really feel a part of the hotel.

Sauberkeit lässt stark zu wünschen übrig. Als Genussraucher-Zigarren kommt man sich als Aussätziger vor. Es wird einem keine gemütliche Möglichkeit geboten, nicht einmal im Garten.

The hotel had everything we needed. The facilities were second to none and catered for all ages - play park, space for football, lawn games, spa. We only used the pool at the spa but the building was very nice and well kept - the outside area was lovely and gardens well maintained. The main house was beautiful and brought period and modern together really well. The hotel offers everything from breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea to dinner. We only had breakfast where there was so much to choose from.. the afternoon tea we saw others enjoying looked delicious. The staff we encountered were all so friendly and helpful.

The shower in my room lacked a flexible hose and no shower caps. I was unable to use the shower without getting wet hair. Staff were unaware of local transport options. The room was not warm enough to dry towels overnight

Property was lovely. Tastefully decorated. Food was lovely and staff were friendly snd helpful.

The only fault would be that my mother had an assessable bedroom and bathroom which was lovely, but the bathroom only had a bath with shower init which my mother couldn’t climb into. So couldn’t take a shower also no handle in the shower. Wouldn’t be any good if you were in a wheelchair.

From the photos, the hotel appears to be located in a charming spot. And from the terrace, it is fortunate one does not see the slightly unkempt path leading to the carpark. And the abandoned construction site next door.

Hotel feels tired. I would rate it as 2 to 3 stars if you exclude the spa facilities. Staff are not quality staff. Bar area is not a place you want to hang out in. Food is like average pub food. Breakfast is not bad but not quality. Jacuzzi is a tepid temperature and my wife said she thinks some of the jets are not working. Hotel seems to have been built piece-meal and lift only goes up 1 floor (2nd floor button takes you up about 3 steps higher to the next 'level'). To get to our room on the 1st floor you actually have to go a little further and go up some further steps. Spa facilities are not part of the hotel - you have to go outside to get to them - but just a short walk away.

Our stay at the cornwall hotel & spa was amazing. Me, my partner and my 12 year old daughter had a fantastic time. The staff, food and lodge with hot tub was brilliant. Thank you for a great weekend ❤️.

Why would you not like this hotel.

The ambience, peace and quiet, the friendly and helpful staff, the spa facilities and massage therapists were also great.

It used to get a bit noisy in the steam and sauna rooms. Since it is a closed space it was a bit stressful. For example, we were a couple in the sauna room, and there 2 other groups of 2 each who are also in the same room and each of the group is talking loudly - how would you feel? It was not a good experience. So although we stayed from 4th June - 9th June, we used the spa facilities only twice on 4th and 7th June. It may help to put a notice or letting the guest know while signing in to keep the volume low. By setting expectations, the guest will know what not to do, everyone will feel welcome, respected and achieve their purpose of visiting the spa facilities. Thank you 🙏🤗
