Séjour très agréable avec tout le confort nécessaire. Accueil chaleureux et hôtes très disponibles, avec la possibilité d’utiliser la cuisine pour le petit-déjeuner comme à la maison. Accès au jacuzzi apprécié, belle vue sur les montagnes avec un joli lever de soleil. Stationnement facile pour la voiture. Animaux présents (deux chiens et un chat), très sociables.

Loved that the hosts were friendly and accomodating, that the dogs were well advertised and very well behaved. The view was exceptional. Great value for money. Definitely recommend.

If we're nit picking, a normal size teaspoon in the sugar would be good but certainly not essential and a better lock on the bathroom door or instructions how best to use what's already there. Thanks guys

David & Chyvon were wonderful hosts and couldn’t offer enough to help in the face of adversity due to lack of luggage.

Hosts were down to earth, welcoming and accommodating. Felt like being amongst extended family members. The view is spectacular.

I’m not accustomed to big dogs inside myself. But they were very friendly.

Warm and welcoming. I was taken to the door by Ray the bearded collie. Despite my late arrival I was welcomed in and made comfortable. Slept well and was fussed over at breakfast. Will definitely be back.

It was great to meet everyone, Chyvon,and David,, Marley and Ray, and the two cats. They all made us feel at home. Plus that amazing view!

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They even offered to share their delicious food and invited us to dine with them. The views were amazing from the back terrace and the house was very cozy. Also all the animals were great, asking to be pet and hanging out with us :) We had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay there again.

I felt like I was staying with family friends. They were so friendly, I had some incredible chats with everyone, and of course the dogs were sweethearts - well trained, didn't jump up at me but did want pats if possible. I don't really write reviews normally but honestly this stay was a highlight of my trip. They did also mention that some people who come to stay aren't that sociable and that they are more than happy with that - very much each to their own so even if you aren't sociable, this will be a relaxing stay. Views were wonderful from the deck, spa was delightful, but honestly, the people were fantastic. Definitely think I'll stay here any time I'm in Whangarei going forward.

Just unexpectedly good, friendly greetings from the couple, and their few pets. Enjoy an cup of coffee at the ocean view deck, cuddling the pets is my favorite.

Excellent accueil de Chyson et David et de très bons conseils pour la suite de notre voyage dans le nord, il ne nous restaient que peu de jours avant la fin de nos vacances

Dass das Haus so weit vom Stadtzentrum entfernt ist und Sonntags gar keine Busse fahren und man 4 km laufen muss, wenn man kein Auto hat! Dafür können aber die Gastgeber nichts...

I had a brilliant time here - David and his sister Hannah were fantastic hosts, as were the menagerie of lovely animals! I had everything I needed and they made me feel very welcome. And the view over the bay from the terrace is incredible! No better place to sip your morning coffee :) I'll stay again in a heartbeat if I'm back in Whangarei

Incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Like staying with family but with more space to breathe. Spa was absolutely incredible, clean and hot 👌 comfy bed, gorgeous, friendly animals.

The house has amazing views of the river and the peninsula, great sunrise. The family and the pets are so welcoming and very kind! They offer us everything for breakfast, also fresh eggs from their own chicks. Thanks 🙏🏻

My first time at a homestay, was a positive experience. Host very welcoming & homely. Bed very comfortable & all facilities available, including an outdoor hot tub & breakfast. Definitely recommend a stay at 'The Grays'.

The Grays made is feel very welcome and like we are part of the family. It felt very natural sharing their home with them. The dogs and cats are lovely and very well behaved. The room was comfortable and we had everything we needed.

Never stayed here

We never stayed and didn’t get our money back after they said they would refund us. No one answered texts. Scary looking dogs at front gate. No instructions - no way to knock at door Talked to booking.com several times. They never got a refund request from owner

Outstanding view. Shared bathroom and toilet facilities with hosts and other guest. Breakfast was help yourself. Although OK, milk was well out of date. Dogs were very friendly but if sensitive to the smell of dogs could be a problem.

Had a lovely stay. Enjoyed the spa pool and the view. The bed was sooo comfortable And great company. World definitely stay again.

We spend one night, and we're really welcome to their house. We only met David, who was really really nice, was here for anything we could need, and to recommend places to visit. We were really pleased to meet him and his lovely furry friends. Location was amazing, calm neighborhood, incredible view, and easy to park.

Absolutely wonderful experience. David made us feel right at home and was incredibly kind. Also extremely versed in history so he taught us some great things to take with us as we continue to travel NZ. Definitely reccomend this wonderful accommodation :)

Made to feel very welcome, excellent facilities and the hot tub is an added luxury. Great shower, very comfortable bed and a good choice for breakfast. Excellent value for money.

The view from the sitting room of this accommodation was fabulous

The accommodation consisted of just a room in a house with the owners. All facilities were shared. There was no television in our room. We had to help ourselves to some breakfast as the hosts were both out working while we were there.

Spent a long weekend here, had a better time than ever expected. Hosts were amazing people - friendly, warm, shirt off their back types. Pets were adorable - a little doggy love anytime you needed it. The house was homey and comfortable, and the view was unbelievable. Can't wait to visit again.

I liked how warm they both were. I felt welcomed and was part of her life for a few days. It was a great stay and I would love to come back ♡

Hosts Chyvon and David were really nice ! Such a friendly welcome from them, and their animals , we felt right at home straight away. 🌻Very relaxed stay in their gorgeous home, with super comfy bed, incredible views, yummy options for Brekky ,( & an amazing espresso machine !) The spa pool was perfect . Id definitely stay again 👍🏼

Superb location, great view overlooking water, city, hills and beyond. Great hosts, 2 of the friendliest spoilt dogs onsite as well.
