Friendly staff, easy to book in, ideal location for theatres and seafront, easy to come in and out.

Room was very small.

It was clean and tidy - good value for money

The window didn't stay open and the room was very hot, with no way of adjusting the temperature. There were no teabags, only coffee, which I don't drink; the cable for the light seemed a bit dodgy and the bed was very lumpy- you could feel all the springs in the mattress. I was a bit sad to be charged an extra £10 for late check in when my train was delayed, but they did kindly offer to waive it for me.

It was well located near the town and seafront. Easy to find. Clean and tidy and had good shower. Friendly and considerate staff when arrived late by train.

Really only the bed, it was like sleeping on the floor. Too hard by modern standards

Firstly, the reception desk was not manned all of the time and the receptionist was not welcoming. The decor throughout the hotel is very dated. Our twin room was furnished like a hostel, a clothes hanging rack instead of a wardrobe, curtains which didn't fit the windows, only one pillow each & the bathroom hasn't been updated since the 1970s.....The shower was like a dribble and we couldn't wash our hair as a result. The room was not serviced during our 3 night stay. There is no onsite parking & no breakfast facilities. The hotel is near a conference centre which means that noise levels when the centre empties is very loud.

Tout ! Notre arrivée établissement fermé. Réceptionniste désagréable. Hotel très très vétuste, une horreur ! Les draps avec des auréoles d’urine, que nous avons faits changer, avec madame dans sourire.

Very dirty. No mattress or pillow protectors. Sheets were stained. Dubious brown marks on the bath and around the toilet. Carpet stained in several places. Outdated which wouldn’t have been a problem if it had been clean. Which it definitely wasn’t.

The hotel was located close to the theatre, nice restaurants and 3 minutes walk from the beach. The room was fine, with comfortable bed, and en-suite. For the location and the time of year it was very good value.

The room was a bit dated and the door was difficult to close without the key, sadly the bar in the basement was closed.

The hotel is in a great location a few minutes from the beach and lovely restaurants. The common parts are newly decorated. The bottle of water on arrival is a nice touch. Don't have to worry about carrying luggage up stairs as there is a lift. We were in a room on upper level which had views of the hills and a cool breeze

We were on upper floors so shower pressure wasn't great. The pillows could do with updating or have a pillow protector.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. We paid a low price and were near the sea front. We had two communications from the hotel before our stay, both useful. We were greeted by a lovely man, who told us all we needed to know for our stay and furnished us with a fan as we were on the top floor. The room was recently decorated and clean with all we needed.

The water pressure and seagulls waking early - both things we do not expect the hotel to rectify.

Az egyik szobánál egy kis előtér van (2 szoba nyílik innen)ami tűzvédelmi ajtóval van leválasztva a fő folyosóról, ezen a kis részen kellemetlen szagok voltak ami bement a szobába is. A képek nem igazán tükrözik a valóságot ... tudom az ár sem volt magas de ez még akkor is zavaró.

Very old. Bathroom was pretty poor and shower only goes up a certain height which is so low. Had to go downstairs to request a hairdryer which took a while even though the advert says it’s in room.

for the price (£236 for the night!!) the state of facilities was absolutely not up to scratch. in addition, the reception is not manned so to get anything out of them takes effort (can’t drop off your luggage earlier, need to phone them if you need anything etc)

The room was spacious for 3 people. There was an amazing lift! Very close to the beach. Bathroom was workable. Towels and sheets were decent. Beds comfy.

1. La limpieza era inexistente. Toda la habitación estaba llena de manchas y suciedad. La ducha estaba llena de pelos. 2. La incomodidad de las camas y las almohadas. Notabas los muelles de la cama. Volvemos a casa con dolor de espalda y cuello. 3. La cantidad de ruido que hay. Si tu música favorita son los chillidos de las gaviotas, este es tu lugar. Las ventanas prehistóricas no insonorizan absolutamente nada. Da igual la hora que fuese. 4. Las cortinas están de adorno porque ni se pueden mover ni tienen ningún tipo de función ya que no tapan la entrada de luz. 5. Las ventanas datan del años 5 antes de Cristo. Era imposible subirlas y bajarlas. 6. Había 6 perchas rotas en la habitación, todas de una tienda de ropa -.- 7. Sentarte en el WC era una aventura en cada momento. No se cabía en el lugar. 8. Había un cartel sobre las toallas para tener cuidado de no usarlas mucho para no mancharlas. ¿Qué sentido tiene tener una toalla si no la puedes usar? 9. Tres veces llamamos al ascensor. Aún seguimos esperándolo, nunca llegó. Una de las huéspedes tiene dolor de rodilla y fue una odisea subir las escaleras. 10. Nunca había nadie en la recepción. Parecía un hotel fantasma.

The bed was comfy, sheets and towels were clean

The room was extremely small, with a very small TV, and the bathroom was about as tiny as you could imagine. A larger person would definitely struggle to manoeuvre comfortably. Unfortunately, the cup provided was dirty and there were no complimentary toiletries, other than a basic handwash. For a two-night stay, I was initially only given two milks and two teabags. However, once I mentioned these issues to the receptionist, everything was sorted, and I have to say she was very nice and helpful. The bedside lamp also didn’t work and, while I appreciate that this is an older building, the room itself felt very dated and could certainly do with some updating. On a positive note, the location was quite good, with shops and the seafront not too far away. I understand this was budget accommodation, so I wasn’t expecting luxury, but I did expect the room and facilities to match what was advertised.

Lovely staff room adequate. Bed comfortable and clean excellent for what we paid. It said 3 star so we only expected 3 star. Too many people pay 3 star and expect 5 star. Would go there again.

Gute Lage direkt am Meer, Nahe Anbindung zu Bus und Zug. Viele nette Lokale in der Nähe. Bett war gemütlich.

Zimmer sehr spärlich ausgestattet, sieht etwas heruntergekommen aus (Farbe blättert von der Wand, abgeschlagene Möbel, vergilbtes Klopapier, rosa/rostfarbenen flecken in der Dusche,Klo war sehr klapprig), keinerlei Abstellmöglichkeiten im Badezimmer, der Lift war den gesamten Aufenthalt kaputt und mein Zimmer war im obersten Stockwerk. Die Rezeption war meistens unbesetzt. Man konnte kein Gepäck dort lagern (da erst ab 15:00 check in und um 10:00 bereits check out war) und ich musste 2x bei der Rezeption anrufen um überhaupt ins Hotel reinzukommen da die Eingangstüre 24/7 verschlossen ist (nachdem check in bekommt man jedoch zum Glück einen Chip für die Eingangstüre).

The location of the hotel was the only redeeming factor.

There was no breakfast or other food available whereas the website clearly states 20% off all food and drink. There was no real apology for this and no explanation. The rooms were on the third and fourth floors and the day after we arrived the lift was shut down by the local Fire Brigade. No apology was offered for this and no assistance was offered with our bags when we left. The single rooms were exceptionally small - unlike the rooms shown on the website- they were also very dingy and there was no servicing of the rooms whilst we were there. The only saving factor was the location- we were visiting Eastbourne for the tennis and the hotel was a few minutes walk from the courts. Overall we were very disappointed with our stay and also felt we spent more on food and drink then we needed to had there been food available and we could have taken up the offer of the 20%. Their listing on Booking.com needs to be updated to be more accurate.
