This was our first time in Japan and our first ryokan stay. We really enjoyed the whole experience. Having access to the private onsen was worth the extra. We even opted in for a massage on our second night. The staff was welcoming and took care of us completely. From check in to check out we felt like the most important people in the world. Loved the variety of food the sashimi, morning salmon, and udon were my favorite. We had a room on the 5th floor and the views were immaculate. It is also located not even 3 minutes from the nearest station. We would definitely come back. Thank you again!

For us it added to the charm but the Ryokan has definitely seen its years. Though this added to the experience more than anything.

Świetna lokalizacja. Pokój przestronny z widokiem na góry. Śniadania i kolacje bardzo smaczne z dużym wyborem japońskich dań. Przemiła obsługa, ktora nas odebrała ze stacji i po dwóch dniach odwiozła. Ponadto nasz bagaż został wniesiony na czwarte piętro. Onseny vintage, ale z charakterem, a onsen Sakura z pięknym widokiem.

Poprawić można czystość (kurz na listwach drzwi. zatkany odpływ umywalki). Na drugi dzień na śniadanie bylo prawie to samo, co dnia poprzedniego.

Es algo complicado llegar porque está en lo alto de la montaña, aunque tienen servicio de transfers

温泉がとても気持ちよかったです。 お料理も美味しく、スタッフの方々の笑顔も素敵でした。 部屋食だったのでありがたいと思いました。

貸切風呂を借りた際に内湯は閉鎖、外湯も２つ中１つのみで、外に置いてある椅子も壊れていました。2人で使うにはいささかギリギリでした。椅子は釘が出てしまっていたので危ないと思いました。 スタッフの方が明るいのは非常に素敵なのですが、よく階段に座って雑談していたりして、私たちが通ると立ち上がって退いてくださるのですが逆に気を使いました。せめて雑談をするなら休憩室などでして欲しいです。 押入れの隅々にカビが生えており、使った敷布団はそのまま押し入れにしまっているようだったので、アレルギーのあるお子さんなどには少しキツイかなと思いました。 歴史あるお宿のようなので管理が難しいとは思うのですが、もう少し清潔感があると良いなと思いました。

Ryokan idéalement situé à 5 mn à pied de la gare de Souzan. Chambre avec onsen privé situé au 5ème étage. S'agissant d'un logement traditionnel, il n'y a pas d'ascenseur. La chambre est confortable et spacieuse. Le personnel est accueillant et aux petits soins. Deux repas nous ont été servis dans la pure tradition de la cuisine kaiseki. Repas délicieux et copieux ! Tout est mis en oeuvre pour nous offrir une véritable expérience dans un ryokan authentique.

I loved this place! The building has a lot of character and there are two onsens on site, both are lovely and include individual soaking tubs. The staffer were absolutely amazing and speak English pretty well. We were actually running late for our check in time and the staff were in constant communication with us and doing everything they could so we could still have dinner. They even went looking for us in the street to make sure we weren't lost. The building is also super close to the Hakone Ropeway and bus stop, which made getting around pretty easy.

The building is old and there are a lot of stairs, but that's what I expected when I booked it. The onsen water also has a pretty distinct smell (not as sulfurous as I was expecting). The room had a pretty strong smell to it, but after a while I realized it was just the smell of the onsen water mixed with the smell of an old building. Keeping the AC running helps with the smell a lot. There are also no convenient stores or restaurants in the immediate area, so be ready for that.

We opted for a japanese style room which was interesting but for no more than 2 nights as not comfortable to sleep on a futon. The public bath was good and relaxing. Both breakfast and dinner was amazing, well cooked and presented. Staff was also helpful. It was a relaxed stay overall. Bus stops at door step.

The house was a bit smelly in general but forms part of the experience of been in an old place i guess. Price was too expensive for the overall experience.

L’expérience d’un Ryokan est impressionnant et on peut sentir la gentillesse immense du personnel qui t’accompagne tout au long de ton séjour. Très respectueux et à l’écoute, ils sont à ton service à 100%. Le repas est incroyable et copieux. Ils prennent le temps d’expliquer chaque plats!

Les Onsen sont propre, mais l’eau du bains extérieur est beaucoup trop chaude, presque impossible d’y entrer complètement.

Non c erano asciugamani , solo uno piccolo a testa quindi non sai bene se fare con quello la doccia o andare nell onsen , uno a persona davvero poco sopratutto per donne, no acqua o altri drink se non alle macchinette in lattina, a cena servono solo the, struttura un po datata e la pulizia potrebbe essere migliore , ho trovato più capelli in giro nella zona onsen e anche nella vasca stessa e quando sono entrata eravamo solo io e mia figlia di tre anni e c erano già per terra , anche in camera uno strano odore

Esperienza in camera in stile giapponese e relativi cene e colazioni di primissimo ordine. Ottima accoglienza da parte dello staff. Onsen privato in camera e onsen pubblico pulito e attrezzati con tutto il necessario per la pulizia del corpo. Ottima posizione per raggiungere a piedi la funivia e la fermata del bus.

Migliorerei la comunicazione via mail, al fine di ridurre eventuali disagi che per fortuna non si sono verificati.

El servei és impecable. Vam llogar l’allotjament amb sopar i esmorzar inclòs. Un personal molt arent i respectuós te’l ve a preparar a l’habitació. Menjar japonès que et permet coneixer plats menys habituals. Els banys Onsen també son fantàstics amb una picina y dos banyeres molt agradables.

El lavabo de l’habitació és perfectament funcional però una mica vellet. Hi ha una mica de pols alguns recond

The food was well presented and tasted really nice. The lady who served us our meals was also polite and kind, unlike the staff at the front desk. The traditional meal that we opted for was made with great attention to detail.

The only BAD hospitality experience in Japan It was raining when we arrived and we were travelling with a ten year old who was wet and hungry like the rest of us. Firstly the hotel did not inform us in advance that there is no place to eat or get food near the hotel. So we had to make our way back to the nearby station and get something to eat there. Without umbrellas or rain gear it was tough, so when the staff at the hotel bluntly told us that they wouldnt serve us anything, we had no option but to walk back to the station. I must add, that the staff refused us food and were quite curt. So, as is the case in all Japanese hotels, there is a basket with umbrellas kept at the exit for use by guests. We assumed this was the case at this hotel too as we had been to many Japanese hotels before and all of them had such umbrellas kept for borrowed use. So we took the umbrellas and walked in the rain the station and ate something there. The staff also told us (quite curtly) that check in was at 4 pm and we were way to early to be there at 12. They wouldn't even let us sit in the lobby till then. We came back after lunch and dropped the umbrellas back. Again we were told that check in is at 4 and we couldnt wait. By that time it was 3pm. Anyway, we stood outside and whiled away time. It wasn't a pleasant feeling at all. And there is no cafe or place to go nearby because this is in the middle of nowhere. WHen we finally checked in, the man at the counter rudely told us that the umbrellas were not for use and admonished us for taking it. This was not the welcome I expected. After his broken English communication that we overstepped our boundaries and we were strictly not to touch the umbrellas as they belonged to other guests, we were given room keys. Not the most pleasant welcome at all. He also showed us a table near the front desk that had packaged food like chips etc. which we could buy. Which made us wonder why they refused us food when we asked them earlier.

La struttura è un po datata ma ha un aspetto autentico. La stanza era molto accogliente e il personale disponibile alle eventuali richieste. Ottima la possibilità di effettuare il servizio navetta dalla stazione, anche se la posizione è molto vicina. Ottimi i pasti, con la possibilità di richiedere un menu diverso per i bambini. Onsen pubblico.

Alcune cose della struttura sono un po datate, forse anche un minimo di manutenzione straordinaria sarebbe utile per rendere il tutto ancora più piacevole.

Posizione della struttura un po' scomoda da raggiungere, richiede più cambi di treno ed è a mezz'ora a piedi dalla stazione, quindi obbliga a prendere un taxi o a sfruttare il servizio navetta gratuito della struttura. Necessario calcolare bene i tempi.

I really enjoyed the onsen, which was a highlight of the stay. The location is excellent, the staff are very kind and attentive, and the food was outstanding.

The only minor downside is that the property feels a little dated and could benefit from some minor renovation.

La posizione è un po’ scomoda da raggiungere. La struttura è un po’ datata e avrebbe bisogno di qualche aggiornamento.

Tuvimos una estancia muy agradable. Las instalaciones eran un poco antiguas pero estaban bien equipadas, y los anfitriones fueron atentos y serviciales durante toda nuestra estancia. Las aguas del onsen fenomenales. Buena relación calidad-precio.

La nostra camera aveva una bella vista. La posizione ottima per prendere la funivia. La struttura è molto tipica, ma sarebbe da sistemare un pochino. La colazione e la cena sono molto ben presentate e hanno piatti tipici.

Onsen był bardzo przyjemnym i relaksującym doświadczeniem. Dodatkowo cała obsługa była bardzo życzliwa i uprzejma. Pokój był bardzo przestronny i miał ładny widok.

Śniadania i kolacje są przynoszone do pokoju. Dania są bardzo aromatyczne, więc w pomieszczeniu cały czasu unosił się nieprzyjemny zapach, z którym niestety oczyszczacz powietrza i klimatyzacja nie dawały sobie rady.

Ryokan vraiment traditionnel. On se sent un peu hors du temps. Très agréable de regarder les montagnes assis dans un bain extérieur ! Les petits déjeuners et dîners sur le principe du kaseiki, mélange de nourriture terre et mer. Très belle expérience. Le personnel est très sympathique. Bon emplacement pour prendre le téléphérique qui mène au lac Ashi.

The staff were exceptionally kind, the onsens are great, the food was delicious. The tatami beds were comfortable enough. We were served dinner and breakfast in the room on the tatami floor and it was a really nice experience for the entire family.

The entire place is a little outdated but well kept, clean, everything works. I wouldn’t mind an extra towel (without the extra payment).

Les onsen, la gentillesse du personnel qui a été adorable avec nous tout du long, les repas servis en chambre d’une qualité irréprochable et la vue sur la montagne très apaisante ! Le système de navette est également appréciable.

Le petit déjeuner à 8h pile est un peu rude quand on est en vacances. On entend aussi un peu les chambres au-dessus de nous mais c’est très calme quand vient le soir.

La chambre était agréable, avec une très belle vue sur la montagne. Les onsen de l’hôtel sont plutôt bien, en particulier l’un des deux, et le fait qu’ils alternent entre hommes et femmes permet à chacun d’en profiter. Les tatouages sont acceptés, ce qui est un vrai plus. Les repas sont bons et très copieux. Mais surtout, le personnel est vraiment très gentil, attentionné et accueillant. Nous gardons un bon souvenir de notre séjour.

L’établissement est vraiment vieillissant et mériterait un rafraîchissement, notamment au niveau de certains équipements et de l’état général des lieux. Le bain privé dans la chambre est agréable, mais assez petit : il s’agit plutôt d’une baignoire en bois pour deux personnes. Les photos donnent selon nous une impression plus spacieuse et plus haut de gamme que la réalité. Il ne faut donc pas s’attendre à un établissement de grand luxe.

Amazing staff. Room was very spacious and had beautiful views of the mountains. Having a private onsen was fantastic. So relaxing! The dinner & breakfast that was served was impeccable and the staff were amazing in how they served it, explained everything and also when they removed the dinher table and prepared our beds! Fantastic!

Slippers were a bit “dangerous” to walk in going up & down the stairs, but they gave us the option of going in our socks. Other than that tiny detail, Everything was perfect!

La habitación es una pasada. Tradicional japonesa. La cena y el desayuno magníficos, ya no sólo en lo gastronómico, en la presentación, en la manera de servirlo... en todo. Tuvimos un problema con el tema transporte que implicaba quedarnos tirados sin cena, y el hotel nos ayudó para solucionarlo, por lo cual quedamos muy agradecidos. Un detalle.

Esto no tiene solución... eso de bañarse desnudo... los europeos, o al menos yo, lo gestionamos regular en general. Pero es tradición japonesa. Donde fueres, haz lo que vieres.

L'authenticité du lieu, le personnel aux petits soins, l'emplacement près des remontées mécaniques pour aller visiter tous les lieux emblématiques, les repas dignes d'un restaurant gastronomique !!!

The hotel offers a full Ryokan experience. The traditional rooms were exquisite with an amazing view on the mountains. The onsen, fully accessible for free, offered a great time. The hotel is a 3-min walk away from the Ropeway, which provides a great day trip opportunity to Lake Ashi. The staff was extremely helpful, and the provided meals offered a wonderful discovery experience. Warmly recommend.

部屋の畳は新しく、部屋全体は綺麗でホスピタリティを感じました。

お部屋についている、ユニットバスがカビだらけで全然掃除ができてないです。大浴場も貸し切り露天風呂もあんまり綺麗じゃないです。掃除が全然いきとどいてないです。せっかく立派な旅館がとても残念でした。

Bueno, no sabía que estaba tan alejado de todo. Llegar allí es una odisea: tren, cable car … y después la vida en Hakone, Gora o Sounzan se acaba a las 6 de la tarde. Sabiendo esto, alojarse en el ryokan es toda una experiencia. Las chicas que nos atendieron no podían ser más amables. La comida, japonesa, estaba muy buena y era, dentro de lo que cabe, variada. El desayuno también bueno pero japonés, nada continental y bueno … El ryokan está bien, se podría renovar alguna cosa y calidad precio un poco justo, pero sabiendo que te entra la cena y el desayuno … bueno. Te pueden recoger y llevar a la estación de Gora y esto se agradece. (Gratis).

Renovar un poco el hotel, se ven muebles gastados.

The place it's a traditional Ryuokan. They provide you with great futon and the style of the room, matches my expectation of a traditional Japanese room. The staff was super friendly and the onsen is great as it has a view towards the mountain with actual hot springs. Great experience staying there.

The downside is that the checkout is super early as well as the breakfast. So you do not have enough time to enjoy your morning there.

It requires renovation, some dirtiness and broken stuff is everywhere... hot spring in room number is a joke... it's very old bath which was maken from wood plates a long while ago Absolutely useless... on photo you see bath from public baths and it really looks like that, but that's not private. Meal is also ... surprisingly not good... little bit better quality on products can change it, but looks like they're trying to save some money. It was the most expensive room number on our trip and it's the only one wasting of money on it

早晚餐都是非常傳統日式的早餐,看的出來非常用心的製作,專業經理人看起來應該是受過良好的酒店服務,英文溝通非常好及清楚,不會讓人聽不懂,服務員幾乎清一色都是印度籍的員工,有反差感 在早雲山纜車第一站,可以直接搭第一班9.00的空中纜車去箱根港,蠻不錯的 因為地處偏遠,相對旅客應皆為西方人,非常適合西方人去體驗日式傳統旅館

山法師-剛好給的房間是廚房或者是醬菜區附近,一進房有很重的醃菜味,還好自己有帶精油的習慣 房間有兩張桌子,會讓人覺得擁擠 但應該也是因為配套措施,讓年長者入住的有較高的桌椅可以使用 看的出來曾經輝煌,許多地方都還需要整修翻新

La chambre était sale, en mauvais état , la tapisserie se décollait par endroit la climatisation était très bruyante et la présence d'insectes était aussi compliquée. Le lavabo des toilettes de la chambre était dans une alcôve très sombre et inatteignable de ce fait pour se brosser les dents , se coiffer ou maquiller il fallait se rendre au onsen de l'établissement.

Stedet virkede slidt. Vores aircondition gik i stykker og de kunne ikke udskifte den samme dag, så vi fik en meget lun nat på trods af midlertidig opsat blæser.

Świetne miejsce – kameralna atmosfera, cisza i spokój. Obsługa bardzo pomocna i otwarta na potrzeby gości. Na duży plus przygotowanie specjalnej opcji wegetariańskiej mimo standardowo mięsnego menu. Dodatkowo bardzo dobra lokalizacja, blisko przystanku autobusowego i kolejki linowej, co pozwala na sprawne zwiedzanie okolicy.

The place is a bit run down and needs a renovation.roof gutters were blocked so the rain water was dripping all night on corrugated roof under it which was very noisy all night. Japanese breakfast and dinner was very good and presented beautifully.

L authenticité de l établissement. On nous équipe aussi de Yukata nous permettant de rentrer en immersion complète avec les traditions japonaises. Ensuite les onsen sont bien équipés, propre et fidèle aux descriptions que l on trouve sur le site.

Location. A perfect Ryokan well situated minutes away from the ropeway station to Lake Ashinoko, cable cars to Gora and bus stops within reach of the hotel. Each Japanese style room was assigned with a staff that took care of our daily breakfast and dinner. They were attentive and friendly. Authentic Japanese meals are served here daily during your intended stay. A liking for typical Japanese food and culture is what this place has to offer. The public onsen with natural hot spring water at the hotel is hot and clean. The room had a beautiful view of the Mountains.

me costo un poco llegar, pero fue porque no averigüe bien

100% čistě autentické japonsko se vším všudy. Určitě stoji za zážitek - samozřejmě člověk musí počítat s tím, že to není městský hotel a naopak mnohdy zmiňované nevýhody v jiných hodnoceních bych v daném případe považovala za přednost a vlastně i důvod výběru daného hotelu. Obzvlášť ocěnuji úžasný zážitek se servírováním jídla přimo na pokoji tradičním japonským zpusobem, onsen a blízkost lanovky a autobusové zastávky , ze ktere se bylo možne dopravit do dalších turistických míst, i peimo do samotne vlakove stanice shinkansen.

Location, staff, food, and fantastic views! There was so much food, it is a discovery dinner and breakfast not to everybody taste.

It is an old house, we had a.private onsen that could have been a bit cleaner

The food was amazing ! Fantastic Kensei food served in such a beautiful manner. The staff was extremely friendly.

The smell. It all looked like it has been the same for 100 years… but not in the good way. The complimentay summer kimonos was a nice gesture, like in all ryokan, but these ones were old and even had holes ! It was all moist and there were moisture stains on the ceiling. Also, on the flloor next to the tatami two knobs like from faucets… the onsen was kind of like in the pictures, but there were some olastic details and some repairs done without ñove for detail. Also, it’s in the middle of nowhere.

La struttura è datata ma da l'impressione di essere storica e autentica. Il posto dove è costruito è molto bello e vista da fuori segue il movimento della montagna. Avevamo prenotato una stanza con tatami e futon, inizialmente ce ne hanno assegnata una senza, ma dopo averlo fatto presente ci hanno dato nuove stanze come da richiesta. La cena tipica è stata eccezionale; gli onsen pubblici molto belli e piacevoli.

Come in tutto il Giappone l'inglese non è usato molto e capirsi non è facile. L'onsen privato è una semplice vasca (forse il resto era in manutenzione?) quindi non vale il prezzo (circa 15€ per 50 minuti).

Établissement traditionnel et luxueux. On nous a monté nos valises, on nous a préparé les lits et les repas. C'était très reposant. Le personnel était serviable, l'endroit est calme.

Le logement est difficile d'accès car assez reculé. Les photos de onsens sont celles des onsens publiques de l'établissement, il n'y a pas de photos des onsens privés sur le site.

Everything was perfect!

We love the place and the staff are very friendly although the staff are foreigners they speak fluent and polite nihonggo. The onsen is excellent. The food is serve in our room,it was delicious. We want to stay again in the future. There is a free shuttle car going to garage station. We highly recommend this place.

La moisissure dans la salle de bain et autour du onsen privé de la chambre.

Het personeel is echt fantastisch. Er wordt zo hard gewerkt. Je koffers worden naar de kamer gedragen, je bed wordt opgemaakt, je ontbijt wordt klaargezet. Elke dag weer. Bovendien was iedereen super vriendelijk. De hele ervaring van een traditionele Ryukan vonden wij super.

Geen idee eigenlijk.

Прекрасно провели время. Замечательное , красивое место , где чувствуются традиции Японии. Вид из окна - божественен ! Персоналу большое спасибо за гостеприимство!

Unterkunft sehr in die Jahre gekommen, aber gut gelegen.

The staff are 10/10 great people. Food was excellent.

The place is really run down, in real need of a renovation. The bathroom had a lot of mould. When we asked they did clean it.
