Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Waterloo - St. Jacobs Area by IHG

Would of like to more selects for those who need gluten free meals. The only two choice that I had was the vegetable omelet and the bacon. The bacon was on the rare side so I didn't eat it after I took it. After my meeting went to the resturant next door for a full breakfast.

Can't think of anything I didn't like other than breakfast offerings. I'm Celiac.

It was very close to the market and a beautiful drive in surrounding area

The suite was extremely spacious and well equipped. It was a perfect place to relax and we also appreciated the work station that absolutely met our work needs. The proximity to the St Jacobs market was superb, but you need a car to get to any other area. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The breakfast and long breakfast hour range was great. The 12:00 check out was a bonus. The cost for the largest suite was not prohibitive. WE were extremely satisfied with our stay there.

It was great! I loved how many different options there were to choose from. Also I like that there were so many different beverages as well and it was all delicious.

The room was ok, clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and they also helped us check in earlier than the usual check-in time.

The pool seemed not very clean and the breakfast was pretty plain.

The room and beds were very clean, comfortable, and quiet even though the hotel seemed quite full. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was very good, a lot of variety, quantity and quality.

The room was spacious and clean, breakfast was nice, would have liked some vegetables but there were fruit and baked goods, breads and omelets and sausages and porridge, so there was enough to choose from. There was also a nice pool.

The neighbors in the room next door watched television or played music till late at night and it was way too noisy.

The hotel is in a great location, right across the road from the largest farmers' market in Canada, St. Jacobs Market. Breakfast is included in the price, which is really nice, and coffee and tea are also available for free anytime. The staff are very polite. A special treat for the kids was the pool with a splash pad area and outdoor access. There's plenty to see in this area, so it's definitely worth taking the whole family for a weekend trip.

The bed was extremely squeaky and creaky in room 204. Enough to wake each other up some times. And pillows were very thick

The Buffet Breakfast was well beyond our expectations in variety and quality of food. The overall value of the room and free breakfast made our choice a positive one.

The room was a bit like a college dorm in its arrangement and lacked a kind of warmth or cosyness to it. The free WIFI was quite confusing and ended up not working for my wife or I which was a bit of an inconvenience.

Less then adequate breakfast on Saturday - Many kinds of protein that fit people who don't eat pork/eggs (omelet's, hard boiled eggs, egg bites, turkey sausages, pork sausages and beans). Good location, plenty of parking. Hot water in shower, though no hose. Pool temperature was great and warm Saturday evening (only).

Breakfast Saturday - There was not a single vegetable to be found. Not one. For 200$ a night I expect some tomatoes at the very least. All yogurts were sugary, no regular yogurt. Bad breakfast Sunday - only two kinds of protein (eggs and pork sausages, no beans and no turkey no egg bites), no chocolate milk as oppose to Saturday, again not a single vegetable. Also all yogurts were sugary, no regular yogurt. Note they charge $25 for any extra bed, even if the child is less than 6 year old, only the "crib" is with no charge but it will fit only 1-2 year old. This is not what Booking is advertising. Extra bed had hurting springs pop out and dirty. Pool temperature on Friday evening, Saturday morning and Sunday morning was very cold, the warm jets let out cold water. No towels in the pool Sunday morning too.

Rooms were great. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast food was fantastic. Great selection. Staff were always willing to help with whatever you need.

The towels were way too small, both the pool towels and the bath towels and they were not soft at all.

The breakfast exceeded expectations and was very delicious. The hotel was clean, and the bathroom was excellent.

Although I was looking to do some lengths on the pool I was impressed that the staff took the time to clean the pool and when ready to use again warned me that it was cold temp-wise and recently had chemicals used so I was prepared

My Room was very clean and the sheets were very crisp and clean. I asked for an extra blanket, and a very polite staff came and brought it to me very quickly.

Although my room was very nice. I was awoken early in the night to a very loud argument next door to me. It seemed the male was very drunk and yelling at his spouse. This went on for a few hours.

When I called the property one day before my booking, the conversation with service desk person (man) seamed very disrespectful from his side. It felt like the persons doesn’t want to help and understand the matter of call, just wanted to finish conversation as fast as possible. It built very bad impression about the hotel. It changed next day when I came for my stay and talk to different person.

We stayed here the other week as a family staycation! We had a 10/10 experience from start to finish! Our boys are 13 and 6 and they had more than enough to keep both of our boys happy, entertained and wanting to come back! We were thrilled with the surprise of having a splash pad inside the pool area! Our 6 year old spent most of his time there and the older boy even got in on the fun. Having the buckets and whirlpool bottom in the shallow end of the pool helped keep everyone all together for a fun time! Our older boy is an athlete playing high level competitive hockey so having a breakfast with tons of healthy options and a massive guy really helped keep him on track with his goals this season. Our younger boy has autism and feeding him has always been a challenge but they had so many options that everyone in our home was able to find something to enjoy with tons of seating area to enjoy your meal restaurant style! It’s walking distance to the st Jacob’s market, and a brewery which made us wish we stayed longer.
