What a gem! We enjoyed every minute! We had a seafront room with lovely balcony and outside shower with a view.. The food was superb and staff exceptional

The only complaint is the very small indoor shower which needs to be addressed as we bumped our heads on the low shower head. An extraction fan in the toilet would also be useful!

Petit havre de paix - excellente cuisine - belle cave à vins

Personeel waren enorm dienstgericht. Paradijselijke ligging aan de baai, bijna alles klopte. Mijn eerste kamer had wat elektrische problemen en ze hebben mij zonder extra kosten verplaatst naar een suite. Geweldige service!

Het enige minpunt was de locatie. De omgeving is vooral een woonwijk met geen faciliteiten binnen loopafstand. Het betekende óf een taxi overal nemen, óf elke avond in het restaurant eten (dat deed ik, was geen straf). In de omgeving wandelen was niet fijn vanwege de hoeveelheid weeshonden die op straat rondliep.

Property is very small especially the beachfront. Breakfast has limited choices. Service is not really one of a 5 stars hotel, it was very slow and unprofessional in one istance with the cleaning crew.

Ich mag kleine persönliche Boutique - Hotels, und ich war schon das dritte Mal da... Das Flair und die geschmackvolle individuelle Einrichtung gefällt mir nach wie vor.

Das Werbefoto für die gebuchte Suite war irreführend, es gibt nur in einer Suite den gezeigten eigenen Pool auf der Terrasse. Stattdessen gab es nur einen kleinen Whirlpool... Die diesbzgl. Reklamation wurde nicht ernst genommen. Das Essen ist gut, aber kaum Gemüse, Salate... In der eigentlich gemütlichen Bar wird nach 23 Uhr nicht mehr bedient... Sauna und das historische Schiff nicht in Betrieb. Im mauritanischen Winter meist recht windig (dafür kann das Hotel natürlich nichts), eher selten Strand - Wetter...

It’s beautiful! Food is excellent and the place feels very relaxed, effortless cool!

We had a few gripes which we shared at the end of our stay with the very pleasant manager. It would be unfair to list here as the management told us how the relatively minor problems were being addressed. Definitely worth a stay.

Everything about this hotel is outstanding, hidden behind 2 large doors and opening up into an exclusive private paradise. The location, rooms, estate, private beach are all perfect - everything promised by the website and more.

Le service était exceptionnel. La qualité de la nourriture l’était aussi. J’ai beaucoup apprécié l’accueil, le fait que le directeur de l’hôtel se présente, la flexibilité de l’hôtel pour des demandes particulières… le snorkelling est inclus et c’était top! Une expérience fantastique pour une journée ultra relaxante !

Die ruhige Lage direkt am Meer ist prächtig. Auf unseren Wunsch beim Buchen, ein Zimmer im 1. Stock zu erhalten, wurde eingegangen. Wunderbares Zimmer mit einem Balkon zum Meer und einer kleinen Dachterrasse mit einer Badewanne und Dusche unter freiem Himmel - herrlich! Das Personal war - bis auf eine Ausnahme - sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit - Chapeau! Das Winpairing Menu hat uns sehr gut gefallen - der Sommelier hat alles wunderbar erklärt und auch der Winemaker aus Südafrika hat ausführlich Auskunft über seine Weine gegeben.

Das Frühstück muss man von zwei verschiedenen Räumen zusammenstellen. Das Yoghurt ist z.B. nicht bei den Cereals. Das bestellte „egg Benedict“ war schlicht und ergreifend ungeniessbar - das Ei, das beim Einstechen schön herausfliessen sollte, war pickelhart, der Toast matschig und die Sauce verkrustet von der Microwelle. ABER: nachdem wir dem Chef Feedback gegeben haben, wurde das sofort geändert. Beim ersten Abendessen wurde uns von einem unfreundlichen Kellner herablassend erklärt, was der „food credit“ bedeutet. Auch das wurde uns vom Chef ausführlich am nächsten Tag dargelegt. Ich finde dieses System bei einem 5 Sterne Hotel mit Halbpension etwas heftig - aber ich weiss, dass gewisse Gäste immer das Teuerste bestellen - leider. Ein Kellner hat vielleicht andere Talente, aber sicher nicht als Kellner, was uns auch von anderen Gästen bestätigt wurde. Das Salz auf den Tischen war auf allen Salzspendern verstopft und zum Teil rostig unter der Abdeckung. Man hat uns einfach einen anderen hingestellt, der natürlich ebenso verstopft war. Nach dem Feedback waren alle Salzspender-Gläser verschwunden….

Le personnel a été d'une rare gentillesse, discrétion, attention pour nous. La maison 20 degrés Sud est un ilot de calme et de sérénité qui a été idéal pour nous retrouver en couple. La restauration a été une vraie opportunité pour nous de découvrir les saveurs locales.

Food was amazing. Most of the wait and bar staff were amazing. Views were amazing. You can use the kayak, sail boat, snorkels as part of your stay!

We came to Mauritius for our honeymoon. First stayed in the South West, then headed to the North. Not entirely sure if there is a culture difference, but at this hotel staff were no way near as nice. Slightly uncomfortable, not very welcoming except some of the bar and wait staff and hotel manager. On our first day, I asked the reception if the sun loungers could be cleaned as there was bird poo and towels and cigarratte buts left from the day before. She responded with 'show me'. In which i did, and she said she would get someone to come and clean it, no one came till lunchtime. There was no apology, and felt embarrassed that I had to show her. It's a shame, I feel like the two women that work at reception bring the whole experience down. Very unenthusiastic, cold and rude. Please note, no special treatment given that it's your honeymoon! We received some kiwi in our room, on the first day, but it was covered in little ants.

Exceptional, from staff to facilities and activities. The place is very calm and relaxing, wirh private beach, water activies. It is also very close to the busy areas of Grand Baie, we hired a car and would drive to try different restaurants. The manager was around checking if everything was OK, amazing customer service.

The food was nice. The room was great. The staff was great.

The boat ride to the Island was overpriced. I paid R10,000 for a trip that I later found out cost no more than R2,000. Worse, I even paid a tip of R1000 to the skipper for this trip. I feel that the hotel staff who arranged this trip for me were part of the scheme to rob me as a tourist. This left a bad taste in my mouth.

Pour un 5 étoiles relais & Châteaux, on s’attendait à des bouteilles d’eau mise à disposition sur la plage et un service disponible. Petit déjeuner peut également être amélioré. Également des réseaux d’eaux face aux chambres pour améliorer la propreté dans les chambres également.

it's not that I don't like. Little advice the hotel should find a system to book the bed sun, especially when the hotel is full. Guests leave for more than 1 hour to the restaurant and we believe they were gone. Thanks

Essen sehr gut, hatten am 2. Tag "Pass Chefs Table" gebucht, war ein tolles Erlebnis. Strand und andere Facilities haben wir nicht genutzt. Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Zimmer für den Preis sehr klein, Klimaanlage konnte man Nachts nicht laufen lassen, zugig über dem Bett. Frühstück gut, aber nicht außergewöhnlich wie das Abendessen.

Etablissement de charme, ambiance intimiste. Très belles chambres dans un très beau site, avec un personnel aux petits soins et une cuisine très soignée au restaurant. Notre meilleur choix d'hotel à Maurice !

Endroit de rêve pour profiter d’un moment au calme au bord de l’eau à l’Ile Maurice. Chambre magnifique, cuisine excellente, personnel très attentif au détail… C’était parfait !

À toute fin constructive et bienveillante, l’hôtel en lui même est un écrin d’élégance sur tons colonial. Parfait pour y séjourner en couple. On s’y repose, la cuisine est vraiment savoureuse mais le petit déjeuner est à améliorer. Les chambres sont très confortables, la literie bonne et la décoration chic et épurée. Le service en revanche n’est pas à la hauteur du lieu, 5 étoiles et relais & châteaux. Accueil assez froid. Aucun personnel sur la plage et pas d’eau mis à disposition. Pas assez de sunbed / transats autour de la piscine, contrairement à la plage, qui est sujette au vent. Aucune petite attention du fait de notre lune de miel, pas même une fleur déposée sur le lit (nous y avons tout de même passé une semaine entière, le tout à 5.000€). Certains membre du personnel étaient froid et austère. Seulement quelques un qui gâchent l’image de tout le staff (on peut croiser des membres du personnel à qui ont dit bonjour et qui ne daignent pas vous répondre). Dans le cas contraire, certains se sont montrés exceptionnels et vraiment attentifs (Laval et Denis, particulièrement). En outre, nous y avons passé un magnifique séjour en amoureux mais certains points sont à revoir pour arriver à faire de ce lieu la promesse d’un séjour parfait :)

Personnel aux petits soins et très serviable, à l'écoute. Accueil vraiment top de la part des équipes. Le lieu est assez raffiné et relativement restreint en termes d'espace (un effet très intimiste vs. d'autres hôtels de taille plus importante), avec des logements a cheval entre modernité et classique. Les déjeuners et diners nous ont vraiment épaté et sont de très bonne qualité - assurés par un chef remarquable. La plage privée ainsi que la vue mer est magnifique en dominant la baie. Les massages proposés par le SPA sont exceptionnels !

En demi-pension, il aura toutefois fallu rajouter un certain billet sur l'étendue du séjour pour manger et boire convenablement, le montant inclus étant assez limité par rapport à ce que propose la carte ; Nous aurions préféré payer plus cher en amont et moins se poser de questions ensuite ! Le petit-déjeuner était sans doute en-dessous du niveau du déjeuner / dîner en termes de choix et de qualité des produits. La plage privée est située dans une zone avec du vent en continu (à savoir), cela ne nous a pas permis de faire d'activité nautique. La chambre un peu premium ne correspondait pas aux photos booking (pas très différent, cependant un peu déceptif).

Cadre idyllique. La nourriture délicieuse, nous nous sommes délectées. La piscine formidable. La plage magnifique.

La formule demi-pension : Le forfait est de 2250 MUR par personne, par jour, n'est pas clair pour le client. D'une part, sachant que le repas principal est le soir, comment peut-on dire que le solde du forfait journalier est reporté, alors qu'il est perdu. Nous avons mangé 3 soirs et quasiment laissé perdre 1000 MUR par soir, pour deux personnes. De plus certains clients (M. Clément par exemple) semblent favorisés par leur générosité et servis plus rapidement que nous. (dessous de table vus...)

Hôtel intimiste avec un nombre de chambres limité. La demi-pension est un bon choix avec un petit-déjeuner très bien et un dîner de qualité. Enfin la localisation est parfaite car Pointe aux Canonniers est mon lieux préféré sur l’Ile, la plage est belle, mais la piscine un peu petite en comparaison d’autres hôtels de Maurice.

Le côté hôtel de charme implique que le confort des chambres est un peu moindre pour un hôtel de ce standing.

Gorgeous property that feels almost secluded from everything else. You wouldn’t even expect to arrive through a normal side street. The moment you walk in, everything is elegant and welcoming. Love the fact that it isn’t a big resort. Rooms are big, exquisitely done and well sized. Facilities are well kept and the staff are incredibly pleasant.

- Management need to do a better job of relaying the value what a guest is paying for in certain packages. Having full or half board, with credit allowance is absurd (especially because they aren’t covering drinks) The menu is well thought out and the servings generous enough to have no one overeating and in turn, abusing the “credit”. The fact that sitting for meals doesn’t even include water, another absurdity in my extensive travel of hotels around world, and varying inclusive packages. - The Lady Lisbeth is a MUST DO experience for anyone who hears about it. Upon booking it, no comms come through except for the note left in my room on the bed stand, which one could miss if they bustle around the room, make a quick change of clothes and go out again. The experience itself should also not start so late - Paying to have a multi-course dinner on a boat would be worthwhile if it didn’t start after dark. 8pm? Come on. Arrival drinks at sunset would be more ideal then work guest into the experience and pace out the courses. The menu itself - another complete surprise because no details are given, but if someone (like a couple who were onboard with us) is not big pm seafood, there’s no other options.

The room, ocean views and the beach setup was lovely. The music as dinner gave a nice atmosphere.

The dinner service was disappointing. We waited a long time to be served on both nights. We were never presented with a wine list or offered drinks other than water when we were seated. We had to ask for drinks on both nights and on each occasion the waiter would only take my order and ignored my partner. I am pregnant and could not eat majority of the starters on the menu and no alternatives were offered even though I had specified this in my dietary requirement. I expected more attention to detail.

Delicious buffet breakfast. Huge dinner menu with a set three course menu for every day of the week which can be combined with courses from a la carte menu. Works on a credit basis if on HB which gives great flexibility of choice. Lovely staff throughout the hotel. Gorgeous bedrooms (very comfortable beds)with roll top baths and outdoor showers. Worth paying extra for a bigger beachfront room. Great yoga and stretch classes included twice a week. Free bikes available for exploring local area.

There is no longer a beach restaurant (ie only one restaurant) so can feel a bit repetitive if there for longer than a week. Food of a very high standard but quite rich. Wine is expensive and bottles often not available.

Beautiful location on the outskirts of Grand Baie with its own private beach area. Unique, chalet style rooms with large bathroom, outside shower and small patio area. Fabulous restaurant serving delicious local and French inspired cuisine. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent. Afternoon tea and cakes. Hotel shuttle boat across the bay to GB. We used the complimentary bikes to cycle to Trou aux Biches and Cap Malheureux The staff are all friendly, helpful and extremely courteous.

We like to walk but there wasn’t anywhere to really walk to.
