The room had a fan provided which was a bonus as it was one of the hottest days

My breakfast i asked for nushrooms and tomatoes and only got 1 tomato and not even a whole mushroom , i know it was included in the room price but that was a bit ridiclous

Poor parking information and availability since the car park is now a beer garden where noisy locals gather until 11.00.

The room and ensuite were clean and comfortable, facilities in the room were good. The staff were very helpful and polite. Breakfast was good, choice of cereals, cold meats, fruit, etc, cooked breakfast was nicely cooked with locally sourced produce. The Globe is a pub with character and was very busy for a Wednesday evening which was good to see.

There were no sockets suitable to take telephone cables and had to borrow an adaptor form the manager. Our evening meal was slightly over cooked. Batter on the fish was crispy and difficult to cut through and the cheese layer on the lasagne was also a little to hard. There was nothing wrong with the flavour and taste of our meals.

Will never stay again on Charter Day. We were warned but were not told the band would be actually in the hotel and right under our rooms and that the packed bar would be open till midnight. The band was so ridiculously unbearably loud and we're musicians ourselves! So didn't get much sleep on last night and were tired for our long drive home in the morning. ,

Topsham is a beautiful location. It was easy to find and the room was clean and spacious. The bedroom furniture needs updating as there is damage to bedside tables. It had a good shower and comfortable bed.

We were charged an extra £20 to check in early as we had driven from Pembrokeshire to attend a wedding and needed to shower and change. I thought that was unnecessary as I run two holiday cottages and have never charged extra for an early check-in.

The rooms were well laid out. Had great tea and coffee choices. And large bottle of water. Very clean Nice touch was a gentle sensor light for the bathroom as you walk in. All well maintained Large very comfy bed

Lovely large twin-bedded room off courtyard. Comfortable beds and nicely fitted out.

It was a bit noisy from the courtyard outdoor seating area and these rooms need better sound insulation.

Great place for an overnight stop between the Midlands and Cornwall. Minutes off the main road but it's a different world. Enjoyed a walk by the river, a beer in another pub before returning to the Globe for a lovely meal and drinks. Great breakfast in the morning to set you on your way.

No negative comments. Some might miss on-site parking but the public car park is so close we didnt notice. You walk further in an airport!

We stayed twice inside of 20 days, in dog friendly rooms, room 23 was better than 20 more modern shower room

The room was too hot and impossible to get cool with weak air conditioner unit. I was also a bit surprised to find the rooms were mostly set out like a motel with bedroom doors opening onto the outside above a no isy courtyard full of drinkers.

Always a great place to stay and the food was particularly good. We didn’t stay for breakfast as last time it was so disappointing.

Stayed in the Apartment. Well equipped rooms on first and second floor. Quality breakfast (choice and presentation.) Washing machine a bonus. Topsham estuary is a magical place.

The apartment was well laid out. The rooms were clean and spacious. Good to have basic kitchen and bathroom supplies available. The pub attached served nice food.

Due to the heat, we had to leave the windows open since there was no air conditioning, and the fans provided were insufficient. Our rooms faced a main road, and the noise from the traffic early in the morning at 6 AM woke us up.

We have stayed at The Globe multiple times. We love the location, the breakfast and the food has always been good. Staff are pleasant and it has a nice, relaxed atmosphere.

It’s our own fault because we knew what it was like during a heatwave a few years ago and we wished we’d cancelled our trip this time, which was during the 3rd heatwave of the year. The fan provided is insufficient to cool down the room, which was considerably hotter than the outside temperature. I asked for a spare fan but was not given one, even though rooms that weren’t being used due to upgrade works had unused fans in them. One Dyson hot/cool fan is not adequate so I’d recommend taking your own if you are visiting during the summer by car. Otherwise, I do have to stress we love it here.

Everything, accommodation clean and nicely decorated Everything you need, shower spotlessly clean, even a little welcome pack for ya and one for the dogs. Also Dyson air cooler which was great for the heat wave.

Nothing!!! Pub was a little pricey but no different to any London pub so we're used to it. One thing we did find was that being a family of four with two very hungry boys, after 9pm we were stuck for food options other than takeaways.

The room was beautiful and very appointed, lovely additional touches! Due to the exceptional weather temperature the room was very hot and the little fan was not great at reducing the room temperature. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast at the venue and both were amazing, highly recommend the pork belly starter, seafood pasta main and the full english breakfast, fantastic food ! welcoming and friendly staff.

ROOM NUMBER ONE WAS VERY GOOD. THE FAN IN THE BATHROOM GOES ON FOR TOO LONG AND USING THE LIGHT AT NIGHT IS DIFFICULT BECAUSE THE NOISE LASTS FOR A WHILE AFTERWARDS. THE AVOCADO IN THE BREAKFAST THE FIRST DAY WAS QUITE RAW AND HARD OTHERWISE IT WAS ALL A FANTASTIC STAY

The Globe is in a great location .

The bedroom is really small and the room layout is not designed to maximise space in the room. The shower was separate from the wc and sink but as a result the living space in the room itself was compromised.

Great location. The rooms were very spacious & clean. All the staff were friendly & welcoming. Varied menu which was very reasonably priced - all the meals ordered within our party were very tasty too!

Excellent food, clean comfortable room. We appreciated breakfast being available until 11am! This was the first hotel we've ever stayed in with (much welcomed) written instructions for the coffee machine.

Room was very comfortable. Location is fantastic, right in the centre of Topsham. Bar is used a lot by non residents so it is very busy and lively.

Room was upstairs in the courtyard. It was a wet weekend: access is by an open air set of stairs, effectively a fire escape, so the handrail got very wet and access to the main building, bar restaurant etc means you get wet. There is no car park, which I knew in advance. What was the car park in the centre of the courtyard is now an open air seating area for bar users which has lights and heaters so it is busy till past 11 at weekends and early nights in rooms round the courtyard are not possible. The continental breakfast was rather poor, very limited choice. There was of course a cooked breakfast menu but didn't try that.

The room was excellent. We had the one overlooking the front entrance. The bathroom was a good size and it had a bath which is a rare bonus rather than just a shower although I didn't have time to indulge! The location in town is good and we parked in the Holman Way car park which was a reasonable charge and easy to walk directly to down Globe Lane and onwards behind the Globe. The receptionist was really friendly on check in / out. We had a good meal in the bar and quite a few pints of tasty real ale. The wifi was fine for checking our emails and listening to Radio Caroline's internet broadcasts! It is also an easy walk, thru an alleyway etc, to get to the Bridge Inn which is a must to visit (and why we chose Topsham) as we love going there. An unspoilt pub, like they should be, and really great landlords and beer.

Struggling to think of anything but maybe I could just suggest one other comfy chair in the room as with only one chair and two guests one has to sit on the bed! There is ample room in the room for that.

Rooms were really cosy and had a good atmosphere. We loved how they sat around a court yard. Also loved the treats for our dog.
