De pub was leuk en het eten goed. Het bed sliep lekker.
Je grenst aan een drukke weg met verkeersgeluid.
An absolutely gem of a place right on the edge of the New Forest. A handy location for Beaulieu, Southampton and visiting the Isle of Wight. Staff were great and couldn't do enough for you. They went above and beyond, extending our stay, when our car broke down and had to be repaired at the pub by the AA. Rooms are all located in a lodge right opposite the pub and are furnished to a good standard. The bathroom we had was excellent. Good choices for breakfast.
Evening meal menu was a bit unimaginative - was hoping for a sirloin steak choice but no 😕 . Our TV wasn't working for 2 days over a weekend but was fixed on the last day. That's it. Loved everything else.
It was a lovely property, our room was surface clean and the bath was super and deep with great water pressure. Facilities were good and nice toiletries. Great coffee choices in welcome pack Overall it was lovely and a great stopover for the Beauleui event
The shower needed a deep clean as the entrance door base needed a good scrub around the fittings. The bathroom window, although it has a misted glaze, looks out over the pub seating area so had to have bath with the light off. Bed was comfy but squeaky springs when you turn over. Needs new pillows as they were quite saggy with no substance. Carpets stained and need a deep clean. The room was surface clean but public areas like skirting boards and handrails in the corridors and hallways need a good scrub. For 295.00 I would have expected these basics to be in order
Good Location, food very good. Close to Beaulieu
small problems in room like broken tap which would be easily improved.
Excellent location for a night pre cruise from Southampton. Room was really nice, and beer garden plus meal hit the spot
Not a criticism, but just having to try and remember you are in the waves of the building in the middle of the night (a man of a certain age)
Great rooms and good breakfast
Nothing
Property was a lovely location very quiet.
Liked everything about this property.
It is a beautiful thatched roof hotel and separate pub with dining. Our room was spotless and the bed was so comfortable
Most of the staff were amazing but one waitress kept forgetting things. It was quite funny in the end. She would look at us and be totally blank.
Pub itself & staff were excellent. After complaining however the issue was compensated fairly. We had two further stays booked for convenience which have now been cancelled.
Poor cleanliness of the room, lighting was also extremely poor. My message not answered on booking.com or via email the night of our stay.
Lovely room, evening meal and breakfast.
I was very happy with everything.
Location good, also nice there is a pub right next door
Room not cleaned even though asked, shower gel bottles unusable due to grime buildup, no hand soap etc. taps broken and again grime buildup around them, service for the hotel very strange almost like they didn't want us there? Maybe having a bad couple of days? Bar staff very friendly and chatty though which was nice
Dog friendly and large rooms
No air conditioning
Room was well appointed with facilities; coffee machine / tea making / iron & board / hairdryer / tv / desk / shampoo, conditioner, shower wash. Decoration of room, modern a tad dark, but nothing to complain about. Breakfast: full English breakfast menu, from cornflakes, pastries, to full cooked breakfasts, normal, vegetarian and healthy options, various types of cooked eggs, e.g. eggs benedict, sour dough with avocado, poached eggs, and it was cooked beautifully.
Lighting could be better for an area for doing your makeup.
Great location for the cruise and excellent customer service.
Nothing as everything we needed for our stay,
The beds were very comfortable, and the breakfast I had was the best fry up I've ever had. There are healthy breakfast options also.
Nothing
Excellent all round, nice room, great restaurant with good service and food
Nothing
Attractive modern property in a thatched country cottage style with a separate hotel across the car park from the pub which served excellent food. Breakfast was included. There was plenty of parking and the room was very well appointed with a large shower cubicle and very comfortable bed. Staff were very helpful, polite and engaging. The location was a few minutes by car from the New Forest.
Nothing that we can think of.
Beautiful location and room, great food! Staff were very friendly and helpful.
It was a very idyllic building and a beautiful setting the thatched roof was amazing.
We loved everything.
Have stayed there before. Excellent for cruises from Southampton, which was the purpose of our visit, the day before our cruise. Had a very large ground floor room..
The evening meals are a little more than what we would usually pay, but never the less still excellent.
Location was good for Beaulieu car show. Good parking. Room was a nice size and clean.
I didn’t like that our room was on the first floor with small window with very restricted opening. Curtains fitted tightly at top so not able to open window and have curtains closed. The room was uncomfortably hot - temp during the day was about 26 degrees but lights left on made the room almost unbearably hot. We were given a fan but it wasn’t very effective. We stayed 2 nights and slept really badly due to the heat.
Great location in a cute thatched roof building, food at the linked pub was great.
There was no A/C and the fan wasn’t up to the job making the room unbearably hot.
Our stay was very enjoyable and up to expectations. We have stayed at the hotel before and would choose it again. Its location for us near family is great. Nice to have the tea and coffee options in the room and nice biscuits. Breakfast was nice and hot and the coffee was excellent. The Sourdough bread/toast was first class and real butter with a good selection of Jams etc.
There was no fresh fruit at the buffet breakfast area. No air conditioning and in the heatwave it would have been appreciated. One single fan was not really enough to keep us cool. The tiles in the shower area need to be re grouted as dingy in part. . We were in room 4 and the bed is a double, the room would take a kingsize and would be better.
The rooms were magnificent. The staff friendly and efficient. The food very good!
Not the inn's fault but there is a busy road on one side that you can hear from the pub garden. However, you do not hear it from the rooms at all.
Very rustic and nice breakfast!
Lovely place, amazing staff, spacious and clean rooms. Quite a private area, but with easy access to other facilities by car. Fabulous breakfast from local produce.
Everything was perfect, the staff so nice, the food very good, the place is as wonderful as it appears in the photos, we chose this place because its proximity to the port, sadly to access there you will need a taxy or a rent car, because is in the country side, but I guess a lot of people will look for it. Without hesitation I would recommend this to anybody visiting Southampton.
Beautiful large roo.
No fridge in room
Great location nice atmosphere good food and selection of drinks, well laid out with the restaurant and bar separated from the rooms, and a lovely comfortable room.
Very little to moan about, the toilet seat in the bathroom was a bit loose but apart from that all great.
This inn is adorable and totally local. It had an incredible historic feel while being up to date and in great condition. The decor was thoughtful and having the local pub onsite was so special. We were there during warm weather so we really enjoyed the pub garden and afternoon cocktails as well as a chance to chat with locals. The food at the pub was incredible for both breakfast and dinner. We stayed here in an advance of a cruise out of Southhampton and it was a nice alternative to the bustle of the port area and only about 15 minutes drive to reach the cruise drop off area.
We really enjoyed everything about the property, but with the warming world, they may want to think about investing in air con. It was quite warm in the rooms and difficult to cool off with just a couple of fans.
Meal,Breakfast and room
Very comfortable. Staff and food very good. Definitely recommend 👌
xxxxx
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable rooms, nicely decorated.
No air conditioning however electric fans were provided.
The staff were pleasant and it was quiet
The price! Premium rate for ordinary room.
Nice and clean. Large pub / restaurant
No airco, but a fan was available and windows could be opened
Great breakfast, staff very attentive. Rooms lovely and well equipped and comfortable.
Upstairs rooms very hot and windows could not be opened fully (perhaps need aircon) but downstairs ok.
Beautiful hotel and Pub. Very pretty
Purely the heat in our room. There was a fan already in there but with the heatwave- throughout the night it was just a noisy distraction moving warm air around. The room itself was stunning. Maybe invest in low noise fans/air conditioning
Perfect setting.
Need to sort out TV reception, but nothing to serious as pub next door is rather lovely, so go for a drink and a meal whilst you are there.
We loved The Pilgrim! Our room was great, and spotlessly clean. The staff were really helpful with everything - letting us store our bikes in their garage when we weren't using them was especially appreciated! We had dinner and breakfast at the inn, and everything we had was delicious. Genuinely can't recommend this place highly enough for a New Forest trip. We'll definitely be back!
Nothing! Everything was great!
Great location, staff were helpful. Great breakfast
Stayed on a hot day, in the evening the room was too hot and uncomfortable. You couldn't open the windows without having the curtains open. Bright lights from the car park lit up the bedroom. It was either a hot stuffy room all night or lights shining in the room. Resulting in very little sleep. The TV reception was really poor.
That’s an amazing place, such a nice team and yummy food.
Beautiful room, fabulous breakfast, helpful friendly staff . Highly recommend.
Look and location
Lovely spacious room
Food was very nice could have been a little hotter
Everything was fantastic, beautiful location. Bed was so comfy, as good as a premier inn bed, shower was huge and amazing. Food was lovely too.
Nothing not to like at all.
A good choice of continental breakfasts, plus a menu of cooked food, most choices seemed to be egg related. No toast was offered, I think you had to ask. Overall everything was of good quality and cooked well.
Our room was very clean and well presented everyday. Our only gripe was that we were in a roof space room in a thatched building and it got quite humid and stuffy in the evenings with only one small window to open. There were air vents in the ceiling and a complicated digital display on the wall, but we couldn't get it to do anything. The shower for us was out of this world, we wanted to take it home.
Staff and accommodation was spot on
Food and drink prices are a bit steep
Breakfast was very good and plentiful
Beautiful pub - they need to move the very busy road!!
Quiet area with onsite parking, not too far from Southampton. Excellent food, comfortable rooms and bed, friendly staff.
Nothing
Beautiful
Lovely and clean everywhere. Rooms all nice (stayed few times) and very clean. Lovely breakfast. Staff very helpful. Everything you need in room.
Little bit expensive for me as I stay in Southampton quite often and it adds up , but is worth it as a short stay.
The room was spacious ,clean, comfortable and well equipped located iin a block alongside the lovely old pub. the breakfast was of great quality and quantity.
it was all good.
Good room. Clean. Decent shower and facilities. Comfy bed. Pub food typically chain, but pretty good. Staff were all excellent, friendly and helpful. Will be staying again.
Very disappoinred with breakfast. Poached eggs were just like hard boiled eggs
Great food, nice rooms, very pleasant staff.
Not a thing
The pilgrim is a stunning place and only a short drive back into Southampton to get on our cruise we can highly recommend it for a relaxing start to our holiday
Nothing was great
Very nice great kerb appeal
Room was extremely hot 27 degrees 2 nd night air conditioning didn’t work in room 11
Staff comfort and Food top class, with a superb breakfast, thank you

Good room.
Too hot. Had a fan in front of open windows but still stuffy.
Perfect place and great staff.
V minor Fullers controlled food so they had to have salad with stones in the olives. Could do with better bedside lights.
Cozy lovely peaceful setting
Nothing perfect
The bedroom
Nothing
Convenient. People nice.
The price had doubled since last staying there in April.
Love The Pilgrim Inn! Been a few times now as an overnight stop to Cornwall. Beautiful Inn and accommodation. Very comfortable and clean. Food in the Inn was excellent, as was the service (especially Chanel, our waitress). We will definitely return when we are this way again!
Nothing
Lovely warm and friendly staff, beautiful rooms
The pea ravioli
We liked everything about the place. The rooms were big and the beds were comfy. The location was great and the staff were brilliant. The food was excellent and the whole place was great value for money.
I couldn't find anything to dislike.
Clean and beautiful

Unique
Was a little hot w/o air conditioning but then the weather was unusually warm.
The staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was lovely. Great decor, comfy bed, really good in-room facilities. Huge bathroom. Plenty of car parking. Delicious, cooked to order breakfast. Professional waiting staff.
Nothing. A definite 10 out of 10. There was nothing about our stay that we didn't like. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.
Great location. Food was excellent, great menu choices. Room was spacious, spotlessly clean and the bed was amazing. Very quiet peaceful stay.
Nothing...
I have never stayed at ant accommodation anywhere that was so so clean and fresh. The room was large and airy and so well appointed. Beautifully decorated very welcoming.
Nothing
The accommodation was faultless, plenty of room. Large car park which was great. 20 mins run into Southampton cruise terminal. Staff very helpful.
Knowing the hotel was full that night the hotel didn't organise enough food, everything on the menu had run out which was so disappointing, this let the whole stay down. Surely they can keep frozen food in the freezer, such as scampi, fish, chicken Kiev, quite a let down for us.
Friendly welcoming staff. Beautiful, clean room. Lovely old pub, excellent breakfast. Good location for area attractions. Good, free parking attached. Garden area. Would definitely book again.
Some road noise if in pub garden but hotel room was insulated.
Very clean, breakfast was lovely and location amazing
Extremely comfortable well decorated room with luxury touches. Nespresso machine and lots of tea and coffee choose. Luxury towelling gown and spa slippers along with Bramley Bath and shower products. Would highly recommend, was here for work but would definitely stay for leisure too, thank you.
Cleanliness, space, breakfast
Dark paint/ lighting
Mooi, schoon, sfeervol
A lot of traffic noise with the road so close behind the hotel, but with secondary glazing and window closed this was kept to a minimum
Excellent room. Good breakfast. Evening meal needs improving
Evening meal
Excellent service, clean room, brilliant food especially full english breakfast.Only stayed 2 nights wished we had stayed longer. Will definately stay there again.
We had twin beds which we booked but both had heavy double duvets .It was a warm spell and this made sleeping difficult,so much so that we both slept on top of the duvets. There was no alternative bedcovers in the room.A couple of single spare sheets would have been great.Other than that an excellent stay.
We enjoyed the location. Room and facilities were good. Staff were friendly and helpful.y
There wasn't anything to dislike about our stay.
Spacious, comfortable room, very good breakfast, friendly staff
WiFi was a bit temperamental. Other than that, everything was excellent
A warm welcome & large comfortable room. A warm welcome too for our little dog, who was pleased to very to be served her own treat for breakfast 😄
Nicely decorated , good value for money , breakfast was really good.
The room was very poorly lit .
The breakfast was disappointing as they had run out of a few things.
Asked for an upstairs room but which was accepted when booking but got a ground floor room. The food wasn't as good as the last time we stayed.
hotel rooms are nice and cosy,. the pub / restaurant has very good dinner food and the staff is very friendly
was there for business and could not make the breakfast as it only starts at 7.30. Would be nice if that could be early. appreciate the take away breakfast but that is just a bagel and banana bread.
Sfeer
Spacious comfy room. Well sound proofed from noise of roads.
Not internally soundproofed so with wooden floors all neighbouring rooms noises echoed, children running upstairs and TV, next door door banging, noise seemed accentuated.
Staff were very friendly. The room was perfect, bed very comfortable. Accessible room as I use a wheelchair and no issues. Had an evening meal which was lovely. Breakfast okay, poached eggs weren't runny but they changed when I asked.
