The location was ideal for walking around the town. Lots of food and drink in the surrounding streets. Easy 15- 20 min walk to Riverside stadium. Staff were really friendly and professional throughout our stay. The buffet breakfast was good but a very limited choice for vegans (Kellogs cereals aren't vegan) but the cooked breakfast options were fine...vegan sausages on request. My partner enjoyed the bacon and scrambled eggs! Checking in and out was easy too.

The only issue I had isn't really an issue with the hotel. When trying to find the parking there is a sign saying stating that it's a bus only route....in smaller letters it does saying also for shopping centre parking but as a stranger I was paying more to the bus only bit as I didn't want a fine. The sign needs to be bigger. As I say though it's not a fault of the hotel though. I would definitely stay again and next time I'll be prepared !!

Room was clean, disabled parking was free but not a good experience staying there.

Noise all night from cars racing up and down the road. It was warm so had to have window open.Not disabled friendly as steps up to hotel from car park and difficulty finding anywhere in hotel as signs not clear. Too many stairs so not good for someone like me with mobility issues. Not enough plug sockets near to bed

Very convenient town centre location and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were incredible and did everything they could to ensure we had a pleasant and comfortable stay. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Our room overlooked a small park and fountain area. It was spotless and contained everything we needed. The air con was effective and very much appreciated. The self service breakfast was most enjoyable. Thank you for a great stay.

Stayed here for a business trip Sunday & Monday very busy hotel. The effective team make it the best hotel in Middlesbrough after trying a couple hands down the best. Rooms very clean and looked like they just had a refurbishment.Vicky, Brandon & Jade at breakfast was super friendly & check that everything ok, lots of selection hot and cold and even filled my water bottle up with fresh water and ice. Chloe on reception was very knowledgeable about the area.The team were all amazing during my stay and I would definitely stay again.

Booked a twin room with twin beds, when arrived in room I had a double bed & a sofa bed. I didn’t ask or want a sofa bed & had I have known this I wouldn’t have stayed here. In the morning my Son said he had had a terrible nights sleep & that the bed was broken , upon inspection I found the bottom of the bed that the mattress sits on had two large holes which made the mattress uneven, I mentioned this to reception when we went down for breakfast & was told it would be changed for that evenings stay. When we got back that evening & checked the support on the bed it was still the same, we checked straight out & went to another hotel instead & am still waiting for my refund for the second night!!. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in, staff were very rude as well.

my reservation was given out to someone, even though i called earlier to tell them i will be arriving late. i had to literally talk before the receptionist decided to change the room for me.

The carpets on the stairs and corridors are stained. The breakfast was ok but bacon undercooked and the orange juice was awful. Ran out of proper mugs so had to use paper cups.

My bedroom shook every time a car pulled into the carpark so I did not sleep properly for a whole week.

The hotel is situated right next to the Middlesbrough Empire where our gig was, it has a car park which only cost £6 for the night. The staff were efficient and very helpful, the room was very clean and the shower nice and large. Breakfast was very good and they had the best hash browns, overall a great place to use when visiting the Boro.

I recently had a fantastic stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Middlesbrough and cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment I arrived, the check-in process was quick and smooth, and Amanda and her team were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. My room was immaculate, comfortable, and equipped with everything needed for a restful stay. The hotel's city-centre location is perfect, and having the car park right at the side of the building was a major plus. Each morning started with a delicious breakfast spread featuring a varied choice of options. In the evenings, the bar offered a lovely, quiet atmosphere with a great selection of drinks. 5 of us visited for a 2 night stay to see a friend. Very good location. Nice staff. Good linked car park. For the money this is an excellent choice. Rooms clean, view nice from room at front. Breakfast included was good. What is there not to like.
