Room was spacious and clean. Bed comfortable. Good choice at breakfast. Good choice of evening meals in bar.

Insufficient lighting in room made it very dark. Impossible to read whilst sitting on sofa. Shower over bath placed where the seat in the whirlpool bath was making it difficult to shower safely in comfort. Breakfast was lovely but far too much was served. No information in rooms about food served in bar.

Restaurant tables were sticky possibly because of varnish on them so could do with up dating. The shower over the bath didn't have anything to stop you slipping either mat or stickers would be a good idea

My room was spacious and very clean. The bathroom was equally clean and the fixtures and fittings were all in good order. The hotel was clean and in good order throughout. I had dinner and a couple of drinks in the bar on the evening of my stay and have no complaints about the food or service whatsoever. I would stay again.

No gluten free and vegetarian options available in the restaurant. Ordered a pizza from Just Eat which sat in reception going cold because no-one told me it was there!

Have been to this hotel several times but this time chose to stay in a “suite”. Nice to have more room, somewhere to sit other than the bed, and the bathroom was huge. Sloping ceilings gave it a quirky feel. Lovely breakfasts freshly cooked and the dining room was very pleasant. Great to have the lake walk just down the road without having to find a parking space, and the boathouse cafe is well worth a visit.

The room was good, clean bathroom, hot shower, fresh linens, comfy bed and furnishings, good ventilation with a wide opening window. Tea-making.

I think carpets need cleaning in communal areas. In the dining area it seemed not very fresh ~ easily remedied with dry shampoo routines. Upgraded decor in communal areas would go such a long way. Not fancy but smartened up to bring out classic and lovely vintage features.

I have stayed at this hotel many times. I love the location. Staff are friendly and helpful. I find it good value for money.

Decor in the corridors has a 60s motel feel and the rooms are plain, clean and comfortable but the decor is stark.

Two night say with my daughter and her dog. Hotel is well presented and cleaned very well. staff where friendly and helpful. Room was a good size, comfortable beds, clean and with everything working. Nice open lounge/bar/restaurant area with fair bar prices. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that, but would point out there is no food served on Sunday evening. Nice area with woodland lake walk close and several local pubs.

The bathroom was a bit dated/worn, but had a good shower and plenty of hot water. No issues.

Wifi wasn't operational. Room had a bad odour. Linen did not look clean. Decoration was in need of refreshing (missing lampshade, dirty walls and ceilings etc).

Great location for what we wanted to do. Clean, comfortable and welcoming.

Clean well equipped room - very friendly staff

Tables in the restaurant/bar area were sticky - needed cleaning with anti-bacterial spray or wipes.

Bar menu was very good and staff friendly and helpful. Premises full of a wedding taking place but did not impinge on stay.

I checked with staff on reception breakfast was from 7am as stated on the website & was told no, on Saturdays it was from 8am. On leaving in the morning at 7:45 I remarked I was sorry not to have the breakfast as a long journey ahead & was told there was a continental breakfast available from 7 so would have made a big difference had I known.

The staff were so kind and helpful. Accommodation was fab, location for the Yorkshire Sculpture Park was excellent. I just felt very happy to be staying at Hotel St Pierre.

Lovely comfortable, clean room with a bath (always a very welcome extra). Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Excellent location for the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Easy access to the motoways. Handy for local food and drink, and the Newmillerdam Lake and walk.

The location was great, the interior of the room was kept clean and well presented. We really enjoyed the breakfast, plenty of options.

The temperature of the room (and the entire second floor) was really hot. There was some litter at the back of the property outside, and it sometimes seemed understaffed.

We needed to extend our stay and the manager was really accommodating. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. They made us feel most at home.

The hotel is a little tired and aircon in the room would have been good but the hotel supply fans so it wasn't so bad.

The staff at the hotel were beyond excellent! Ben was amazing dealing with an issue we had. In the words of the manager of this hotel 'every hotel needs a Ben' and we couldn't agree more!! He's an absolute credit to this hotel! Also a mention to Darren the general manage who was also excellent!

Unfortunately due to no fault of the hotel the group of people in the room next door who were having a party from 12.30am onwards and we had to move rooms at 1.50am in the morning due to their utter selfishness of not willing to stop when told!!!

Plenty of easy parking. Attractive frontage. Welcoming helpful staff who were always on hand. Spacious ground floor reception, bar and restaurant area. Very nice room ( a suite of two rooms).where everything worked. A fan in bedroom was a welcome touch in this hot weather.

Good location, stop over to break up journey. Newmillerdam is a nice little hamlet with a good choice of eaters. There is a small lake which has pleasant walks. The hotel was clean with all the facilities we required. What made the stay was the staff who were very efficient and helpful.

With the hot weather it was difficult to keep cool in the rooms.

Old furnishings, water was crazy hot for some unknown reason, NO fan and room was very hot No fridge Be careful with the ANPR parking facilities, I forgot to enter my number plate details when I checked in and only realized in the morning at check out, seems I will will get an automatic fine which the hotel did say I could contact them to cancel.

Quiet and clean

Very quiet room, despite a wedding and the world cup England Norway match! Friendly and helpful staff. Good size twin room. On site parking. Walking distance to Newmillerdam country park. Good bar area with lots of seating and airconditioning.

Outside area could do with a sweep and some of the patio frurniture needed repair before someone falls off the chairs because of broken arms etc. Inside was fine. No air conditioning or fan for bedroom area as far as we could see..

Newmillerdam is a nice place to stay. The staff at St Pierre were kind and attentive. We had a very nice stay.

It could do with smartening up a bit.

The bedrooms are very basic, reminded me of what I think a luxury prison sale would look like, however the beds were really comfortable, the few on the website did not match the view from the windows, had a view showing a lake, my view was overgrown brambles

Clean comfortable accommodation in good location for visiting the sculpture park and Hepworth museum. Free parking and good value.

It suited our purpose very well although we had to eat both nights in the same pub as the other one stopped serving at 7pm.

Our second stay at this hotel, spotlessly clean, comfy beds, the staff are lovely really helpful. On the second night we asked for a fan, iron and ironing board a staff member brought them within minutes. Love that unlike other hotels the window opens.The hotel is in a good location close to motorway, Barnsley, Wakefield and Sheffield. The bus to Barnsley and Wakefield stops right outside.

We arrived at the hotel on Sunday night, we travelled on 2 trains and taxi so very tired. Disappointed to find the hotel doesn't do food on Sunday's we could have walked to a pub or restaurant but as I say we were tired so in the end we just had snacks.

The staff were so helpful and considerate. Asked for room near reception as mum cant walk far and we had a great room with accessible bathroom. Receptionist was particularly helpful- gave ideas on what to do and places to eat close by. Bedding was lovely and very clean.
