The door knob was broken to bathroom and not enough towels and was cloths.

Location was great. Close enough to everything and within easy reach. But stop is round the corner and it’s $2 on a bus either to the main area or bus station. Even a bus to the airport…$2 Grand Ole Opy/Opry Mills $2 The room was spacious and the bed was really comfy.

I have stayed before. It had an awesome restaurant and bar. I had no idea that it was not in operation. It was one of the main reasons I was wanting to stay. I should have stayed closer downtown and save me some uber money.

This hotel/staff definitely read the reviews and took the customers suggestions!! Staff was very friendly, even provided a free drink upon arrival. Parking garage was only $20/day. They allowed us to check in early without an extra cost. No hidden fees. Great location, not too far away from Broadway.

Only down side was that there are no microwaves in the rooms, it’s only on the first level. Also the fridge in my room was not cold at all. Lastly, there is only one elevator working and it’s very slow.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the facility was very clean. Sheets weren't scratchy, temp was good throughout the hotel.

Would have liked more counter space in the bathroom. Maybe more bathrooms on the first floor.

It's a nice independent hotel. We really like the lobby area, part of which is also dining space for breakfast. The location is very good - close to Vanderbilt, Broadway, dining around the hotel in walkable distance. Centennial Park is also close-by. Good, healpful staff. The breakfast was included, and quite good. The usual fare: make-your-own waffles, bagels and cream cheese/butter, scrambled eggs, sausages mini-muffins, fruit, yogurt cups, juice, coffee, tea, jams/fruit spreads. The beds, pillows, linens clean and comfortable. AC in the room work very well, which was necessary in the hot weather spell. They have generous check-out time of 12 pm, and check-in time of 3 pm. We arrived on a red-eye flight very early morning. They allowed us to check-in way earlier and also check out late. We really appreciated that. Parking info: There's on-site paid parking for $20-$25. There's also free parking in front of the hotel on Hayes Street, but usually not available. There is paid street parking and paid parking lots on Hayes Street around the hotel. Parking is enforced from 6am - 12am (saw an attendant give tickets at 11:45 pm).

Not big issues, honestly! The room was not unclean, but cleanliness could be tad bit better. The elevators are slow, and one elevator was probably not working at all. This was the second time we stayed and the breakfast was same everyday both times. May be a bit of variety would be welcome.

Excellent hotel with modern facilities and outstanding service. The property was spotless and very well maintained. The breakfast was exceptional, offering a great variety of high-quality options. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help, making the overall experience even more enjoyable.

The main downside was that the room was not cleaned daily and additional towels were not provided unless specifically requested. The location was good, but it was a little too far to comfortably walk to some of the city's main attractions.

It was clean but not kept well, hole in the wall where an outlet was supposed to be.

The staff were rude and not helpful. The location for Broadway was poor, not far for walking but not safe. Used needles and several homeless people on the walk to Broadway. We told an Uber back.

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I was disappointed with our stay. I also understand that no hotel is perfect, and issues can happen. What matters most is how they’re handled. Unfortunately, the combination of the room issues and the lack of follow-up left me feeling disappointed. From check-in, the staff wasn’t particularly welcoming or helpful. The room itself was fine, and since we were out most of the day, that wasn’t our biggest issue. Unfortunately, several maintenance and comfort issues affected our experience. The shower drain barely worked, leaving standing water while showering, which wasn’t pleasant. The TV wasn’t a smart TV, and only a handful of channels worked. The WiFi constantly disconnected every 10–15 minutes, making it nearly impossible for me to get work done on my laptop. Even after disconnecting our personal devices from the WiFi, the connection remained unreliable. The air conditioner was an older wall unit that cycled on and off throughout the night, blowing cold air directly onto the bed each time it kicked on, making it difficult to sleep comfortably. I also used the exercise room and was surprised to find there were no disinfectant wipes or cleaning supplies available to sanitize the equipment before or after use. I didn’t realize this until after my workout, which was both frustrating and concerning from a cleanliness standpoint. What was most disappointing was the lack of follow through from management. After I shared my concerns, I received a response saying my feedback mattered and that they were confident we could reach an agreeable resolution. When I replied asking what that resolution would be, I never received another response.

My husband had spinal surgery at St Thomas Midtown, and I stayed for 5 nights at Hayes Street Hotel. The location was great, short walk to hospital and to many restaurant options. George and his staff were welcoming, knowledgeable, and very friendly. The room was clean and very quiet. The hotel is very quaint and relaxing. Breakfast every morning was a bonus. I would definitely recommend this hotel when traveling to Nashville.

Parking was frustrating. Parking was a separate cost from the room, annoying but knew that before getting there. Not clear on directions. No elevator for the parking garage so put your car on the 3rd floor and walk all your luggage down the stairs. Stairs have a keypad with a code listed your key card booklet - not the hotel key so if you don't know that, you have to walk up the ramp where the cars drive to get up to your car.

Breakfast was ok. Nice variety...no ice tea. Fun making waffles clean and well presented.

The staff was excellent. They were accommodating and kind. We were there on a very busy weekend and the staff did an excellent job keeping breakfast out for everyone. I appreciated the later check out time of noon. The location was a perfect distance from the crowds and noise of downtown. It was close enough to easily get downtown and far enough to be nice and quiet.

Bathrooms are sooo sterile and not enough towels. Need to be cuted up a little. I don’t like shower curtains either. Also I would make that area in the lobby a bar! It would make it such a cute little hang!

Beds were comfortable.

Its 40 min walk or a 10 min drive from the centre (we stayed during CMA Festival so was decent price for that period.) Breakfast was terrible,, came down 30 mins before end and practically nothing there, even when stocked low quality food. The air conditioning unit was so loud in our room it was difficult to sleep.

All the staff were so friendly and helpful. Our flight arrived very early but we went straight to the hotel in hope of leaving our bags there. When we arrived we were told there were a couple of rooms ready so we could check in straight away which was perfect. All the facilities were very clean and our room was lovely with a very comfy bed. Breakfast was basic but tasty and the waffle machine was great! The location was fine for us but is about a 30 min walk to the bars of Nashville, easy walk but depends on whether you like to be in the centre of it. Centennial Park and the Parthenon was just a 25 min walk away in the opposite direction.

There was nothing we didn't like

Our stay at Hayes Street Hotel was overall just okay. The highlight of our stay was the staff. Everyone at the front desk was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and helpful, and they made us feel appreciated as guests.

The biggest disappointment was that the hotel didn't quite match the impression created by the photos online. The pictures make it appear much newer and more modern than it actually is. Upon arrival, we found the rooms to be noticeably dated. The bathroom, in particular, felt quite old and reminded me more of a budget motel than a boutique hotel. The wall-mounted air conditioner also struggled to cool the room effectively, leaving it feeling humid throughout our stay. Unfortunately, there was also a noticeable wet dog odor in the room that detracted from the overall experience. Breakfast was very basic and offered little beyond the essentials. While it was appreciated, it wasn't anything memorable. One area that could use improvement is the parking garage. The $20 overnight parking fee is reasonable for Nashville, but the garage isn't particularly accessible. Reaching the hotel requires either walking down a flight of stairs to what feels like a utility entrance or walking down the vehicle entrance ramp, which isn't an ideal experience—especially for guests with mobility challenges. Overall, the hotel served its purpose as a place to sleep for the night, but the dated rooms, humidity, and overall condition didn't quite live up to the expectations set by the listing photos.

Had to pay 25$ a day to park at the hotel, toilet seat had a hair on it when we entered the bathroom. Rooms had a weird smell but i’m assuming it’s the AC unit. The staff we had an experience with were extremely unfriendly and malicious. One of them sarcastically told my partner, “That looks like apple juice to me” when he asked a simple question about a breakfast item.

The parking garage was a super tight fit and felt creepy and was stinky. The curtain in our room was thin and lots of light shown through and people could probably see in. There was a big stain on the rug in our room. There was some kind of dust or paint chips in a pile on the floor of our room. The parking garage was difficult to find in the dark without clear signage.
