Great location and staff, easy to access, beds were very comfortable.

We were in the 2 bedroom apartment and could have had more furniture in the living area space.

There were extensive refurbishments taking place in the hotel which were disruptive and were not announced in advance. The door to our room had been replaced but not finished properly. There was only access to a plug socket on one side of the bed so only the person on that side could have a bedside light on or plug in an appliance. There was also no hairdryer in the room.

It was ideally situated for our needs while in Taunton.

Car parking facilities would have been better, but nothing they can do about that and we were made aware of nearby parking. A restaurant/bar at the hotel would also have been good.

The pillow was awful. There was no bar or restaurant so I'm not sure it should advertise itself as a hotel.

Another amazing stay at the Royal Ashton such friendly staff who make you feel so welcome and special. Always helpful allowing a bag drop off which really helps if arriving by train to make the most of your stay before and after check in. Nothing is to much trouble and can feel so comfortable and at home in this friendly quiet hotel. If in Taunton for the cricket you will not be disappointed I look forward to next year when I hope to return making more great memories. Thank you for another great stay.

The staff were friendly and accommodating. The location was very convenient for my planned outing.

Under construction/maintenance, outdated, room was clean but had an unpleasant wet dog smell. Felt more like a dorm than a hotel room.

Not really a superior room, tiny bathroom and shower, a squeeze to sit on the loo, dirty marks in the bathroom and a pubic hair on the cistern. The sink tap was tight to operate and wobbly. The whole bathroom was grubby, the blinds let in quite a lot of light, only 1 pillow each. The maid only changed the bath mat, didn't change the mugs or any towels.

Ground floor room was adjacent to a smoking area which meant that the room reeked of smoke and weed if the window was open. Window was also fully frosted which made the room dark and claustrophobic.

It’s a bit basic, but is being refurbished, which will improve things.

Shower was cold. Mentioned it to receptionist on the first morning of our stay, but nothing was done to fix it. Decor was tired. Corridors and stairs were very narrow.

The hotel was super close to the train station, which was wonderful. It was also on the main street and was an easy 10 minute walk into town to see things.

The property was a little dated, but the friendliness of the staff made up for it.

The location was perfect, the staff were absolutely amazing, extremely helpful, the room was just what we needed.

Even though the train station is extremely close, parking would be better but it’s the area.

Its location is great for public transport, and the cricket.

The ground floor room I had was dingy with very little natural light able to get into the room.

The room was of adequate size. With the window opened, there was a smell of burning that could come from the back of the building where there was a factory. Location is good and central to all sorts of amenity. However parking to unload the luggage was not possible as there was not enough of space and the time limit was only for an hour. The hotel was clean, staff were very friendly and helpful.

The reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. Location was good with plenty of choices for dining.

Our room was very very warm and the window didn’t all kw air to circulate

Hotel located on main street only 5 minutes walk from train station. Outside door locked at night so building felt safe. Super clean and spacious room. King bed was really comfy. Tea/coffee facilities in room and there was also a shared kitchen which we didn't use apart from filling our water bottles from filter machine. Very nice, friendly staff.

Ik had niet specifiek gevraagd naar een rustige kamer. Maar ik kon kiezen of een rustige kamer, zonder uitzicht en op de begane grond of een kamer boven. Ik koos voor de rustige kamer. Het personeel was super vriendelijke en behulpzaam. De ligging vlakbij het station was voor mij ideaal omdat ik op doorreis was.

Voor mijn doel nu, op doorreis, vlakbij het station en het centrum viel niets tegen. Ik zou hier niet voor een langere periode boeken.

They could have supplied more drink ie water, milk for tea or coffee as it was very warm in the room.

The room is one of the worst hotel rooms I've stayed in, a tiny room with a very small window that looked out in to an enclosed rear courtyard. The room was incredibly warm. Cigarette smoke was entering the room from the opposite room smoking in their room.

I was stuck away in what can only be described as a broom cupboard ! It was a really hot day and there was a fan in the room but it was so weak that it just made it worse!

駅から徒歩5分ほどでロケーションが良かった コンビニやスーパー、子供の遊べる公園も近くて良かった！ 館内に給水所があり、チェックアウト前に水を汲むことができた！ オートロックにも関わらず最初誤って部屋に鍵を置き忘れてしまったが、親切に合鍵を貸してくれて事なきを得た。

観光地で駅に近いので難しいと思うが、もう少しリーズナブルな価格にできたらもっと良いです！

Friendly welcome and a good location for the train station and the Cricket ground. Incredibly hot the night I stayed, a fan was provided in the room and windows could be opened and the fridge was a god send for cold drinks. Shower was easy to use, plenty of towels provided and bed was comfy.

The heat but not much the hotel could do about that.

Plenty of hooks and racks to dry everything on a very wet day! Rooms are basic but have everything you need for an overnight stay.

The shower was very difficult to set, boiling hot then cold. I almost gave up on trying to use the couple of seconds in between each cycle, but it did settle down eventually.

Clean tidy and lovely staff and very much value for money

Staff were friendly and very helpful. They allowed us to leave our suitcase and belongings there safely with staff precece at all times during the day so we could enjoy rest of day before we checked in or when we had to go back home .. we also had use of the shared kitchen and could fill our empty water bottles up without buying bottles of water.

There was nothing to unlike about this place . As i been here at least 3 or 4 times in the past staying here . . I slways rate this hotel as good place to stay. When I come down to taunton.

The room was clean and had the usual, basic hotel services I would expect to find, including an en-suite shower room/WC. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful and friendly and overall, it was reasonable value for the price for such a central location.

The shower initially belted out very hot water before I adjusted it. This would have scalded me if I hadn't half expected this problem from previous hotel experiences. No car parking on site was a nuisance but a long term car park a few minutes walk away sorted out that problem. I expected that no air con might be a problem in the very hot weather I experienced but in practice the room was cool and I could sleep easily. However, having air con would of course have been better.

Could not get TV to work The shower took ages to find out how it works. Had to reset the fuse box for it to eventually work. No air con but at least it had a fan, all be it a noisy one.

Parking was the problem I am disabled and we had to park behind the hotel and walk because the bay outside the hotel was full. That meant we had to vacate the hotel before 8am because of traffic wardens starting at 8am.. The staff were excellent and tried to help secure a quick parking place outside in the morning so I didn't have to walk far. My husband brought the car round and the manageress was brilliant and put wheelie bins out to ensure a parking spot for a few minutes. Our downstairs room was spotlessly clean and comfortable but didn't have any windows which felt odd. The noise from the outside road didn't bother us and we slept well. I would recommend the hotel for younger able people who wanted a short stay at a place with lots of food places to eat or takeaway and pubs nearby on a lively main Road.

I went during a heatwave - the staff were extremely unhelpful and appeared to be taking the fact I booked through booking.com as a negative against me in the way I was treated, shrugging their shoulders every time I complained after being put in a room on the top floor facing the sun in 36 degree heat

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They even brought a fan into my room when the hot weather began. Nothing was to much trouble and kept me fully stocked in tea and cleaning the room for me.

There was nothing to dislike about the hotel, there was a little noise from outside but to be expected when pubs and restaurants are on the doorstep.

Non hanno un parcheggio ma qualche posto auto in strada con tempo massimo di parcheggio di un'ora. Il limite però c'è solo di giorno. Noi siamo rimasti una notte per cui siamo riusciti a lasciare l'auto lì davanti senza problemi. Altrimenti c'è un parcheggio a pagamento poco lontano.

I booked Royal Ashton Hotel from the station checked on Google maps by it was taking us to a shop not a hotel. Further up the road was The Royal Ashton Townhouse. Went up there and enquired to be told this was where I should be. Staff were not really interested in me saying I was booked into hotel and maps were showing further back. The accommodation was ok but to have doors slammed shut through the night was a pain. To lock our room we also had to slam. Probably wouldn't book again.

I arrived before check in due to attending a wedding and the staff at Royal Ashton Hotel were more than accommodating. They went above and beyond to try and help me during my stay. The bedroom was clean and bed was comfortable. The Royal Ashton Hotel was located a short walk to the town centre and conveniently a 3 minute walk from the train station.

There was some noise from outside the property due to it being a Friday night. However, this is no fault of the hotel itself.
