Awesome rooms, yummy restaurants, small casino so less people around. Will definitely return again. The rooms had a very cool atmosphere with paintings on the walls and a beautiful bathroom.
Hotel has great ambiance & beautiful decor. Room was clean and comfortable, & has small refrigerator & Keurig coffee maker, very convenient. Bed very comfortable with mattress that you do not notice if your partner tosses & turns. And surprisingly, being in a casino environment (on 1st floor), you do not hear noise from outside of your room &, if you are very sound sensitive, they provide ear plugs and a white noise machine on the night table, can also leave TV on a fireplace or fishtank channel. Employees all very professional & courteous. Also, free parking in parking garage.
We have come to the MGM several times as our son recently moved to Springfield. Our primary reason for choosing the spot was it's proximity to his apartment. After four stays, its the staff and the car for the facility that keep bringing us back. The grounds are safe and though we are not gamblers, the energy is positive across the campus. The shops and food options are good as well.
Excellent Room and the Hotel staff was excellent, the girls at Bill's were so nice and accommodating. To bad we did not win but maybe someday we will
MGM Springfield is a fun place to visit. The staff are friendly and helpful. They have a large selection of electronic gaming machines and the payouts are pretty decent. I have not had a bad experience in all my visits.
Most terrible check-in experience ever. Gave our room away after they told us we were checked in and then had no more room for us which then made us late for the event we were there to attend. Shame on them. Horrible experience.
Atmosphere is unique- memorable. It’s a casino- but doesn’t have the “ick” feel and taste like a lot of the Vegas ones- we thoroughly enjoyed our entire stay.
Very pleasant staff. Friendly in casino and hotel. Good comps. Reasonable table game table limits. Love MGM Springfield.
Everything was good with the exception of two issues. One, there was only one restaurant open for dinner; and two, there was no bellman on duty at checkout to help with luggage.
Great place to dine and see a concert. The food was amazing at Chandlers. My wife enjoyed our stay and the staff at MGM are terrific.
Rooms are average but clean. No fridge in room and the internet speed is the worst I have seen of any hotel. A couple of nice restaurants and a small area of quick food options. Taps Sports Bar was good option all around for food and watching the games. No real good gift shop items to bring home to the family.
I recently stayed at this hotel in a Rotunda Suite and it was fantastic. The room was clean and very original compared to the style of most hotel rooms. My 2 dogs also came and they had a great time too. The room was very clean as well as the casino. The staff was friendly and the pool on the second floor felt like a luxurious spa facility. The only downside to this hotel was the fact that you could hear people’s voices in the hallways because the rooms aren’t soundproof. But, other than that, it was an amazing stay!
Front desk staff was excellent. In our room my 8 month old found a gummy bear on the floor and attempted to eat it which my wife caught in time but was terrified by the fact that he could have choked or even worse that is was a THC infused gummy bear
I love this place. As far as hotels go this has it all. The rooms are really well decorated and designed. They are classy and offer many amenities. The figured it out - lighting, bedding, seating everything. The hotel is clean and well cared for. The casino is a casino. It is new and well cared for as well. Together it is a great experience.
I had asked for a room free of pet dander as my son has asthma and is very allergic to dogs. That did not happen. Poor customer service and you're telling me you don't care about my family's health. Also my last visit i requested adjoining rooms as my younger kids were with us and was told it was could not be guaranteed. How can families plan trips around such poor business practices?
Very nice rooms. Love the steampunk motif! Friendly staff. Don't normally like staying at casinos but would stay again when in the Springfield area.
Great location, clean, and friendly. Good food available and no need to leave the property with lots of things to do! Great options!
Great experience great price will recommend to others great staff just with they had more cable and more movie options and spa
Great experience. We visited Six Flags and enjoyed some gaming. Everyone went above and beyond, being extremely accommodating to all our needs and requests. The hotel and resort were immaculate and clean. Thank you for a great visit.
The property was very clean. Our room was beautiful with extremely comfortable beds. It was a great stay.
Room was very nice, however, not many drawers or counter space.
Very comfortable bed
Rooms where clean and spacious. Staff was friendly and hospitable.
Parking garage was very far away from front door/front desk of hotel—-and didn’t help that there is no official spot to park for checkin, no valet or carts for luggage at hotel front entrance. Thin walls, you can easily hear others, hotel gives you ear plugs on your night stand- I guess they know it’s a problem. had one chair, asked for a second, front desk said they’d put a second chair in the room- came back end of day - NO second chair - frustrating. TV didn’t work right- picture would freeze with no sound- had to keep hitting the remote to refresh. no frig in the room - Hampton inn and Fairfield inn give you a frig for half the room rate I paid at this hotel. You have to drive for many blocks, several right turns - to get to front of hotel from parking garage- no easy way - I asked. I could go on here but what’s the point - going forward, won’t stay here or any other in this chain.
Hotel & Casino are very clean, safe and secure. Rooms have an unique vibe not your standard hotel room design. There are lots of great on-site options for dining and activities in addition to the slots/table games in the casino....bowling at TAPs was a lot of fun. Highly recommend Red Rose Pizzeria across the street amazing Italian food (affordable too).
Everything was nice, except the rooms don't have a dressor to put your clothes in. One of the rooms had a problem with the bathroom door and the hotel said they would credit my account, but they didn't put through the credit. Now I have to chance them for it. In addition, the restaurant was going to give me back $58 for my military discount, but I still haven't seen the credit come on my credit card. The place was very nice otherwise.
Let's start with there is no valet parking and go down hill from there. Finding the hotel entrance to check in must be a secret because there is no signage at all. I guess everyone likes to park 4 blocks away and schlep their luggage across the entire garage and length of the casino in hopes of finding the check in desk. We left to go out for the day at 9am and put the service light on. Returned at 4pm and the room had not been cleaned. There were 5 housekeeping carts within 20 feet of our door but apparently it was more important to clean vacant rooms than occupied ones. When we went to the front desk to ask for help they were friendly but useless and we waited an hour for them to get the room cleaned. When I asked for some compensation they offered a $50 dining credit. Of course half the restaurants were closed and the ones that were open were not restaurants but self service kiosks. The room was beautiful but totally lacking in function. No drawers. No refrigerator. Pretty lights but not easily accessible switches and no hand held shower so you have to get your head soaked like it or not. The spa was closed indefinitely. We were told to seek compensation from Hotels.com because we didn't book directly with the hotel.
Everything about our experience at MGM was amazing, friendly staff, clean facilities and fast and courteous service from all vendors!!! Hope to stay again soon!!!
Absolutely amazing Huge property, beautiful rooms parking was a breeze. Free parking garage part of hotel Staff were great wool definetly stay again
had the best nites sleep on the bed at the hotel. the room was gorgeous
Upon arrival about five minutes or so before check-in time of 3:00 pm, I was told a room wasn’t ready. Front desk personnel said that they would text when it was. At 3:30, with still no text, l inquired at the desk and was told there still wasn’t anything available. I had to be at an event by 4::30 and needed to shower and change. I guess a manager, I was never told who he was, found me a room. Needless to say, this was less than ideal. Room, however, was fine once I got in.
Room wasn’t ready over an hour after check in time. No attempt to apologize or compensate for the inconvenience.
Super friendly staff and lovely rooms. Loved the shower, bed is firm but not too firm. Sheets were cotton smooth and cool, just my type.
I don't think I will ever go there again because of the rooms Casino was nice and clean I have nothing to say really bad about the casino the floor where this tables and the slots were it's all about the room.
Great experience, nicely appointed rooms and exceptional staff. Everyone was helpful and friendly. Will definitely go back.
Room was spacious and beautiful. Staff were so gracious.
Nice rooms but there is zero closet or dresser space.
Very nice
Not a hotel for business travelers
Enjoyed the luxury of the home suite with living area separate bedroom and beautiful walk-in shower with bath and half for convenience. Bed was like sleeping on a cloud and plenty of fun to be had while on-site along with in our case UBER to the BigE to enjoy a show and the last days of the BigE.
To much walking around casino with fencing
Check in was terrible. It took about 1 hour & 2 calls to my Bank to explain to MGM their system was causing my credit card to decline. The staff at check in kept switching computers & discussing with us how they’ve had to change pins & pass codes to restart their systems. Needless to say our Anniversary getaway was ruined right at check in. First time to MGM Springfield and Definitely the last!!!!
Room was clean, staff was great but the room was very noising and no microwave or fridge.
My husband and I took our kids to close out the summer and have our last weekend vacation together. We loved the place, people were so kind and welcoming that always made our family trip unforgettable. Hands down and we will highly recommend it
Stay was great.
Very pleasant I would definitely return and recommend it to others
Nice location.
Great hotel...very uniquely styled rooms...casino is great and on par with AC. We had fun here and will be back for sure!
Hotel room was great, immaculate in appearance, resort grounds was great, clean etc.only fault I have with the experience a 20 dollar a night resort fee...plus taxes on said fee. resort fees however, suck. Taxes ON said fee suck, even more.
We recently stayed at the MGM Casino in Springfield, and from start to finish, it was a great experience. Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff member who helped us was very polite. Our room was spotless and nicely appointed. Although it was on the smaller side, it was very comfortable. The bathroom was modern, and the shower was fantastic. Our view looked out over the street, which at night was especially beautiful with all the white lights. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay at this hotel and casino and would happily return.
Great rooms and staff but not much in the area (that might just be a Springfield thing)
Room was excellent. Parking garage was a nightmare. No signage for the hotel. Only for the Casino. entered and exited garage twice. Finally went into casino to ask for help directing us to hotel. Hotel is not visible at Main entrance to Casino and Garage. You must park in garage, take elevator to first floor of casino and walked almost a quarter mile in corridors to reach hotel lobby. No hotel signage until you get off elevator in casino.
This is my third time at this property in the past four years and it gets worse each time. The showers appear as if they never clean them.
Before we even arrived, I got an offer on the app to upgrade to a suite for $100 - I accepted it and the app said it was approved. But then my confirmation says I was upgraded to a STAYWELL room, which I did not want. All the staywell gets you is a aromatherapy machine. Useless. After arguing with CS online they said they would give me the room at no extra charge, but the upgrade I accepted for a suite was not available. OK - fine. They also said they would give me a food/beverage credit - never got that. Then they charged me anyway for the staywell "upgrade", even though they said they wouldn't. Took three days to get that fixed. Apparently, customer service can't see what previous customer service said, so they can just say whatever they want and not do it. Anyway - they room is fine, but the lighting is horrible - bare bulbs make the whole room somehow both dark and glaring at the same time. Oh - and they charge you a "resort fee" of $22.69 with tax for one night which only includes "free" phone calls and a "digital newspaper" - two things that basically every human with a cell phone already has in their pocket. The casino is fine, but the hotel is awful.
awesome MGM staff and especially hotel had a great stay
Room was so fine! Perfect for our stay
Business room rate was reasonable however the standard rate would have prevented me from staying. The facility is very nice with excellent offerings of food and entertainment
Very disappointed. Casino, food court was filthy. Any staff that was encountered was rude or ignored us. Room wasn’t as described on the website. Stains on the pillow cases, coffee bar was incomplete. There was filth and hair accessories from prior occupants under the table. No view from the room as described on website. Save some money and stay elsewhere..
Amazing experience! Clean hotel very modern. Easily the nicest hotel in the area, and we have stayed at a few! Highly recommend!
Room was clean. The only thing that was not great was the position of the TV in the room. On side of the bed instead of adjacent to the wall. Was hard to watch while in bed. But loved the shower
MGM Springfield was great fun! Nice food, fun casino.
The front desk service is top notch and our room was thoughtfully designed and aesthetically pleasing. Traveled here for a convention and really appreciated location close to mass mutual center. Several good restaurant options right in the hotel/casino. Loved the museum complex which has fine art, science museum and a fun museum dedicated to Springfield native, Dr Seuss.
The room was very noisy, the spa was closed, the food was awful. Never again at MGM. (Sorry, I had to write at least 100 characters here.)
Nice room except no refrigerator. Shouldn’t have to pay a fee for an already expensive facility. No shampoo when I went to a shower.
The bathroom was top shelf
Bad neighborhood. Only one elevator so if you are at the other end it take 10 min to get to your room. Lot of hidden fees. They charge a resort fee why not give food voucher or casino chips
Great if you have to stay in springfield
Visited MGM Springfield while visiting from Florida. We have been to several MGM casinos. This one had to be the worst! Their machine payouts were the worst we ever encountered. If you did hit something, you thought that would pay out, and you may get $2. to $9. Such a big, big disappointment for an MGM. We will never go back. We'll stay with Beau Rivage , Bogota, and Vegas.
The staff was absolutely amazing. I can't say enough about them.
Super nice hotel. Spacious rooms. New and clean
While this hotel had good ratings it is quite obvious this property is geared towards its casino guests and not hotel guests. Firstly, there aren’t any bellmen to assist with luggage- the hotel entrance forces you to enter through the casino. Secondly there is no distinction in parking for hotel and casino guests which means you’re competing for parking nightly. The parking garage is sketchy and my family and I encountered vagrants with no security in sight. The most deal breaking part of the stay was there isn’t in-room dining, all the restaurants close early and the air conditioner did not get cool at night because “it’s motion head good!)
Room was ok, I understand that Housekeeping is probably short staffed but long hair was found on the sink in two areas as well as 2 of the towels. I thought the rooms would be a little better sound damper, but could still hear roadside traffic on the 5th floor. Staff was friendly, but did not ask me how my stay was at the end.
Overall nice stay, beautifully appointed rooms, large casino floor and kept quite clean. The food is disappointing. Parking garage could use a cleaning due to smell.
My brother and I were traveling to Maine to visit our family . We stayed at this resort on the way up and the way back since it was the half way point on our journey. We both were very impressed by how nice it was . Everything from the cleanliness to the industrial decor . Great vibes !! It was also the cleanest casino I ever visited. I will be staying there always from now on . The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. 5 stars!
The hotel itself was well maintained and interesting. Look for all the Dr Seuss clues while walking around, it’s fun. The rooms are oversized which makes it fun to stay in as well. The beds were very comfortable. The parking garage is sketch but safe enough from break ins. The casino was loud and obnoxious to walk around to get around the hotel, but it’s a casino so you can’t expect much since that is the hotel’s revenue. All in all, considering other hotels in Springfield, I’d stay here again 10 out of 10 times.
The hotel was clean but im bot impressed with the amenities. There was no microwave or fridge in the room. I paid almost $200 plus a resort fee and didnt have a microwave or minifridge thats disappointing.
The staff was kind and informative. Excellent check in.
No valet parking. It was not clear where to park or how to get into the hotel. There was someone asking for money at the elevator. The room was nice and it was clean. The casino did nothing for me.
I was very impressed by the accommodations for my get-away. Comfortable, clean and quiet. The dining options were good; however, I was perplexed why decaf coffee was not available at the coffee kiosk by the Market Place entrance. Another suggestion is a map showing the layout of the facility and casino floor. Finally, better direction on playing the various slot and table games. It would have made my experience as a first timer a bit more enjoyable. I will be back though.
Great local getaway. Beautiful rooms, plenty of games to choose from. Movie theater for the teenager. Wished there was dedicated Hotel parking. Refrigerator available for a fee and Please consider putting a microwave available somewhere in the hotel for guests.
Bed was very comfortable. Hotel staff are friendly and welcoming.
Absolutely loved the rooms. Great designer. Will definitely be backpacking
Thanks for the great stay - rooms and hotel were tastefully designed and elegant.
It’s Springfield. Don’t leave the building to wander around. However the facility itself was fabulous.
Excellent stay!
Only issue 😔 is I booked a Main Street room and it was not available upon check-in
Once inside the casino/hotel its safe, area around hotel is less safe feeling. Parking garage, approached by someone asking for money.
The room next to us was very noisy right up to 130 in the morning. It sounded like kids were left there without adult supervision. We did not have a peaceful sleep.
I love this place , plenty of table games and even slots that I like. The rooms are eclectic and comfortable. Ours did not have a refrigerator . The place is clean and employees are nice.
One of the nicest, cleanest, most unique rooms I've ever had...love the steam punk environment. Excellent staff. Security folks were very nice. Chandler's steakhouse provided one of the best meals we ever had anywhere. Free, easy to access parking. Worth the trip.
We stayed at the MGM Springfield because we were in Springfield to visit the Basketball Hall of Fame. The hotel and all the amenities were great. We went to the pool twice, both times the pool area appeared clean. The restaurants were good, but I felt like all the bars were very basic- the lobby bar cocktails were the best drink we had in the hotel. We enjoyed the Tap, the sports bar. We had a great time at the top golf, located at the MGM, however I must clarify, it’s just a stimulator not a true top golf set up. We had a great time nonetheless- the server was super friendly and made us feel comfortable. MGM and the Hall of Fame is great but the surrounding area is really run down. The streets are empty and unfortunately there’s a lot of homelessness not
Wonderful inside the hotel. Outside another story…
The half price discount on food in the food court if you have a players card was a great surprise ,plus points add on to the discount for a very affordable meal !
Property was beautiful
Can’t smoke the grass.
Terrible location dangerous not a place to bring families Springfield is a beautiful place architecturaly but very limited in family activities
Loved everything. Only thing is their is no microwave or refrigerator so alot of food was wasted. Pleaseeeeeeee get microwaves in the rooms. Other than that AMAZING
Wonderful staff, great casino and food. The rooms are gorgeous and extremely clean. Casino is very close, steps away from the hotel entrance. The lobby is very inviting.
Awful hotel, awful staff, awful customer service, gross casino. Lied to over the phone multiple times. Tons of homeless people lurking in the casino, very uncomfortable
